This is Resurrection Day (Easter Sunday)

We are at Riverside Park in Vero Beach. Calvary Chapel Vero Beach, they have this Sunrise Service here since 2006 or so. We got here at 5:45 am.

This is Pastor Jim teaching us about the death and how after the third day He rose from the grave.
Mathew 28:1-7. This is all about his RESUUECTION. Yes, rose from the grave.

These are our friends, Don, my little girl Jeanne, Meg (Don's wife) and little old me.

They had coffee and bottles of water to give away.

Afterwards we all went to McDonalds for breakfast. We stopped by Captain Galley to get breakfast there. But the wait was like 20 minutes. So, we need to go to another Easter Service. Time was not on our hand.

We went to Saint Anastasia. This Catholic church is in Fort Pierce.

As Don and Meg usually go to their Catholic Church back in Ellicott City. Well, first of all I am driving us around. So, when I was telling Don and Meg about going to the Sunrise service, they were saying that they would like to go with us. Okay now we get a chance to go to a Catholic Church, As I was starting school, I went to Saint Rita's Catholic School/Church. The sad part is I went there for 6 years. Walked away and only got to 4th grade, I really don't have any reason why I was held back twice. I do remember their grading was 75 passing. After here I went to a public school. Bay Road Elementary School. There passing started at 65. So, I guess it was my fault not getting the grades to pass.
Enough about that. I can tell you this, The priest (Father George) that did this sermon was exciting and really loved his calling. He was trying to get the folks to response and get them excited too. Which he did a beautiful sermon, and I walked away feeling like I would like to come back and just listen to him.

After church we went home for a little while, relaxing and just watching some TV. Well, it is time to be heading to Dave and Shaughnessy's house for Easter Family Luncheon.

I am not sure, how I missed taking the group shot. But didn't get it this year.
It was a very pleasant time just hanging out and listening to different family members about what they have been up to. Then they had the Easter Egg Hunt. There really wasn't that many little one to go hunt, there was more older children doing it and I guess they enjoyed it just like always. Had some great tasting food and deserts too. Don and Meg came with us too. When we all got back into the car to head home, they were telling us that they enjoyed their time there.
Okay it's kind of crazy but April is almost over with. Yes, today as I write on the 27th.
Well, I started reading 1 Kings, the first couple of chapters talk about How King David pass from this earth and put his son Solomon as king. Then in chapter 3 it the neat one. God came to Solomon in a dream and asked him what would he like? As King Solomon was sleeping, He asked for an understanding mind, which means, WISDOM. The Lord was, pleased with Solomon's reply and was glad that he had asked for wisdom. (11) So, God replied, "Because you have asked for wisdom in governing my people and have not asked for long life or riches for yourself or death of your enemies. I will give you what you asked for I will give you a wise understanding mind such as no one else has ever had or ever will have! And I will also give you what you didn't not ask for-riches and honor! No other king in all the world will be compared to you for the rest of your life! (14) And if you follow me and obey my commands as your father, David, did, I will give you long life"
Well, folks if you ask God for something, think before you ask. He loves you and wants the best for you.

This is Saturday the 19th.

Well, these are our friends from Baltimore, Maryland. Yes that is Jeanne, Don and Meg. They drove in form Orlando and are going to stay with us for a little while. Don loves to go Mexican Restaurants and enjoys talking with the staff. Most of the time they speak Spanish. Which Don has always had a fancy for learning more and just talking with them. Okay, enough about that.
Now I have a short story about Don, I have known him since I was 7 years old. he came to my birthday party, and I guess we became friends then. When Meg and Don got married, I was there. So ever since then, we try to keep in touch and text back and forth. So, as Don was telling me, that his son (Bob and his family were going to Orlando (Walt Disney) Meg and him would be here too. So, Don and Meg drove to Orlando, Lat week and spent about five days with his son and family. Don was asking if meg and him could stay with us a while? Sure can. So, they have been staying with us since the 19th to today, 24th. Hey, we have been taking them here and there and just enjoying our time with them.
Getting back to the dinner, you can see what we ordered.

Hey, I just enjoy having Naco's and the fixings. But Jeanne ordered something else. So, I got the Taco Salad. It was so nice to get talking about all that each of us have been doing and how the families are doing and just hanging out.
Today I just finished up the Book of 2 Samuel. (New Living Translation) These last chapters are about King David and his final days on this earth. Chapter 24 id talking about how King David asked his commander of his army to go around and take a CENSUS. Now you got to understand God didn't tell anyone to take a census. This means David sinned. So now God gives him some consequences for the sin King David did. First conscience begins to bother him. And he said tout o the Lord, I have sinner greatly and shouldn't have taken the census. Please forgive me Lord, for doing this foolish thing. The next morning the word of the Lord came to the profit Gad, who was David's seer. This is the message: Go and say to David, this what the Lord says: I will give you three choices. Choose one of these punishments, and I will do ir. So gad came to David and asked him, Will you choose three years of Famine throughout the land, three months of Fleeing form your enemies, or three days of severe plague throughout your land? Think this over and let me know what answer to give the Lord. This is a desperate situation! David replied to Gad. But let us fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is great. Do not let me fall into human hands. So the Lord sent a plague upon Isreal that morning, and it lasted for three days, seventy thousand people died throughout the nation, But as the death angel was preparing to destroy Jerusalem, the Lord relented and said to the angel, Stop! That is enough! When David saw the angel, he said to Lord I am the one who has sinned and done wrong! But these people are innocent-what have they done? Let your anger fall against me and my family. That same day Gad came to David and said to him, Go and build an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Aranunah the Jebusite. So, David went to do what the Lord had commanded him. Down a way (24 But the king replied to Araunah I insist on buying it for I can cost me nothing, So David paid him fifty pieces of silver for the threshing floor and oxen. David built an altar there to the Lord and offered bunt offerings and peace offerings. And the Lord answered his prayer, and the plague stopped.
So, folks have you sinner against the Lord? I can tell you this, I really understand how King David, just did his own thing (Census). Hiow many times do we do our own thing?
My prayers are that I try to keep in God's will.
I know we have grace, but it still is sin.

This was our Good Friday Service.

Okay where are we? We are in Riverside Park. It's in Vero Beach on the island side. Calvary Chapel Vero Beach does this each year, since 2008 (I think) What is going on is, Good Friday afternoon, Calvary has these tents and everything ready to serve the church a food trucks and others that sell food and drinks and just some fun things too. Like what you see above here, it's not snow, but sure is a fun thing for the children to play in and just having some fun.

This is the load dock for the children to wait to get on that boat ride that is right above this picture. They ride them around and just another fun thing to do. Looking around there are many younger children and young family here, getting food to eat, the children getting their face painted and so many other things to do.

These four tents were set up on Thursday, by the folks that volunteer here at the church. This is where the Good Friday service will be held, tonight. Plus, on Sunday this is our Easter Service too. Meanwhile Jeanne and I were getting a little hungry now.

So we stood in line to get some tacos and other Mexican Food. As we were standing here, we meet a few folks standing here with us. I am sorry I forgot their names, but it was an enjoyable time to get to know them. Jeanne told me that the line at the pizza tent was moving twice as fast, so we left here and walked over to the pizza tent.

While standing in line, I noticed this older gentleman throwing a pizza in the air. Then he spoke to the guy in front of us and I noticed it was our Senior Pastor Jim. He is the one that oversees Calvary Chapel Vero Beach.

Sa we were standing in line, I took some pictures and just enjoyed to site and sounds we heard from the children playing and just enjoying themselves.

Jeanne was talking with one of the gentlemen that help out there. I really was thinking, what is she talking about? Oh, I know, is this something worth all thew work and the money to get something like this going? My little girl would love to barbecue on a wood grill and sell brisket and hot dogs and hamburgers and other things to sell. We have talked about it many times. Just set up a grill and sell some good tasting food.

The praise and worship team came out and we started the Good Friday Service.

This gentleman is Pastor Nat Gallaher, he is the son to Pastor Jim, (I showed you earlier, pizza guy) He did the Good Friday Service. He did a nice job.

Afterwards the sun was setting and took this beautiful shot. There were a few folks at this church service, so getting out I thought it might take us a while to get out of the parking lot. But it went very smooth.
We by now the weekend as gone by and it's the work week again. On Saturday afternoon, my friend and his loving wife came to town, and they are staying at our home until they are ready to go back to Baltimore. So, these next couple of blogs I will be sharing things about their time with us.
Meanwhile I have been reading in 2 Samuel 11 to 21. 11 is telling us the story about King David and Bathsheba encounter. From there, King David realizes what he did to Uriah's he death. Then her baby died. Meanwhile one of King David's sons (Amnon) raped his sister, Tamar. Then down the road, Absalom (Tamar's brother) set up a party and Amnon came and afterwards, Absalom killed him.
Folks, please take the time and read your Bible. There are so many stories and listening to and learn.
It really is neat to read the Bible and just walk away, realizing He is talking to you.
I love you and want you to have what I have; HIS WORD IS ALIVE.

It's amazing how time keeps moving forward.

Yes, another birthday, this is Kaden (our grandson) He just turned 19. He is working hard at screening company. He really doesn't say much, but he is helping his mom out and just being that big brother to Cashlyn. He sure loves to fish too. The only pictures I see him in are ones with a fishing pole and a large fish in his hands.

This is the family in July 2019. I guess Krista was the one taking this photo. G.G. (Grandma Jeanne), Cashlyn, Jake (dad) and Kaden.

I guess he caught these fish.

Hey this was his and mine first Dolphin (Mahi Mahi) I think?

Wow he really has grown up. This is Kaden, G.G. (grandma), Cashlyn, Cain (cousin) and Krista (Mom)
It really was nice to have our family get together and enjoy some Korean food, and just a hang out.
It's kind of neat how Jeanne just loves these guys and is always willing to share a great meal and just having them over, makes her day.
Well, this day is called Good Friday. The real thing about why they called today, Good Friday is, if Jesus didn't let this all happen to Him on this day. Being arrested and suffered and dead on this day.  This coming Sunday would not have been called Easter Sunday. Do you know where the word Easter came from?  Easter is a principal festival; of Christian church that celebrates the RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST on the third day after his Crucifixion. The earliest recorded observance of an Easter celebration comes from the 2nd century, though the commemoration of Jesus' RESURRECTION probably occurred earlier. That would mean, each and every one of us, would
NOT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXCPT JESUS AS OUR SALVIOR.
My prayer is that each and every one that understands, we are NOT GUARANTEED TOMORROW.

Hello everyone, I am sorry for not finishing up my trip to The Bahamas. But today is our last day.

Here is a picture of the sunrise on March 21st. Getting ready to pack everything up and get going back home.

Hey I had to just stop in and say goodbye to Mark. He is the one overseeing the Planetarium. Mark is back and loves every minute he gets to share with the students and anyone else that comes to
The Adventure Learning Centre.
You can see their web site on Facebook.

This is the gentlemen that does all the ground keeping there is to do. He was just starting here before I left in 2014. So, he has been the main guy to keep this place looking so nice and well groomed.
I am sorry to say I forgot his name. SORRY buddy.

This is Camille, her, Eldora and Tika keep this camp going. They are the ones that clean and get the camp ready for the guest that come to visit and help out and do whatever is needed.
It sure was a nice blessing to be able to meet everyone again and just get a little caught up and see my old friends.

This is the New Bath House. I was the one that cleared the land and get it ready to pour the foundation.
It did take a few years to build it and get it ready for the folks that stay here at the camp. It has been a BIG Blessing too.

When I first came in 2005. This was our bath house. Very small but it worked, and many people have used this place, So PLEASE, Lord keep Your hand on all that goes on here.

I put all this rock down when I was here. I just remember so many things about living and just enjoying my life back then. Go to the left, that is the Dining Hall and to the right, Basketball Court. Many nights I would lay on the bench in that basketball court and pray, for people and folks that come here and that it will be a changing place for them and everyone that steps their foot on this land and see GOD HANDS.
Oh, a short story. That basketball court is where I saw God's hand. (2005) I was laying on the bench and asked God, if you want me to come here and oversee the camp and maintenance at the ALC? I asked for a shotting star. I didn't even get the words out and there is was. A shooting star shot across the sky and HIS PEACE CAME UPON ME. From that day I went home and told my boss Jerry Sanders. I was working at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale. I oversaw the parking Ministry, plus other areas I oversaw.
I came to the ALC on June 2nd, 2005. I stayed here until June 2, 2014. So, in those 9 years, I was living here.

Those are the cables. These are thew building that our guest stays at.
Folks just thinking of all that was going on then, I was so very blessed and just loved being here.
Hey, don't get me wrong, I am very blessed now too. Being married to my wonderful wife Jeanne and all that we do. Thank you again LORD.
We got the car loaded up and said our goodbyes and got on the road and headed for the airport.
Just maybe down the road we will be back and help out. At this time, we just have so much going on at school and our home. No promises.

I dropped off Jeanne and luggage and drove the rental back to Budget. All went well the price stayed and just told them, the car might need brakes pads. The reason is they were scraping pretty good.
Just a head up.

Got inside and got everything straighten out and heading to the TSA and then Customs.

Jeanne had to take her carry one back to be checked in. The reason is she had six or many seven Conch Shells in that bag. I guess they can be used as weapons. So, I got upstairs and waited for her.

I am not sure, but I bought her a muffin or a bagel plus a drink.

Meanwhile our flight has been delayed. The reason was, they only have two landing strips. Well, I guess they had to shut one down for something. So, the flight that was coming from Fort Lauderdale was up in the air, going around the landing strip. They had to fly back to Fort Lauderdale, to get refilled with fuel.
I am not sure what all that was going on. But we tried to keep informed. Asking the folks at the corner. But sometimes they didn't know either. So, I guess we will get something to eat.

I guess Wendy's is the place for lunch. I think we both got #1.

Meanwhile we heard someone yelling and asking folks different questions and making jokes up too. It was this pirate that is always downtown walking around doing the same. asking questions and inviting people to the Pirate Museum downtown Nassau. I really thought it was a great way to get people interested in maybe going to the Pirate Museum. Jeanne that he was very annoying. I thought he was funny, and he got my attention.

Okay, we are sitting in our gate. Then I heard, Flight #1394 is flying out of gate #51. Now that gate is on the other side of the airport. So, we pretty much ran to get to that gate and boarding has already started. We made and I was telling the guys at the ticket booth, her I think you should send someone back to gate 40, to tell folks that we are getting ready to fly out at gate #51. He told me that they did send someone there.

There is our plane. Yes, we were on the tar mat. It was kind of neat. To get a close up and see the things going on behind the curtain. Hey, they took my bag anyway. There was no room for carry on. So, it was nice and easy to get on the plane and just sit down and wait to get going.

Now that is a close up.
Folks our time here was very enjoyable and relaxing too. We didn't do any main work. Just cleaned up the camp house we stayed at.
I can tell you this, I really love being here and if I was not married to Jeanne, I would be back here in a heartbeat.
It comes down to where does God want me. I believe I am exact place God WANTS ME.
Please keep Adventure Learning Centre in your prayers and maybe down the road, the church you are part of, could make a mission trip out of coming here and helping out?
I will be asking Calvary Chapel Vero Beach about a mission trip here one day.

Yes, folks I am here in Nassau

I flew in on Saturday, and staying at Billy's house. Yesterday morning I woke up and walked down to the ocean to seek God and read my Bi...
