Folks I am sorry, but life keeps me going and boy, I have been busy.

Like I said, BUSY. Do you know what my Pastor Bob told us about the word BUSY? Well, he did a teaching on that word alone. B-Being, U-Under, S-Satan's, Y-Yoke. It sounds kind of funny. But just think about it, it he can't make you sin, why not keep you busy doing things that don't bring glory to Our LORD. So, next time you tell someone that you are BUSY???? 

Okay back to the job. Yes, this is our back patio. Boy it sure is a mess. I got the pressure washer out and the cleaner I use for all cleaning jobs. 

Hey I have been using this cleaner since I have been cleaning houses. 

You cannot go wrong for $15.97 a gallon. Just spray it on and let it set. Then rinse it off. Sometimes you need to use the pressure washer. Which in this case it is evident. Black mold and just a lot of dirt. 

I stater and remembered that the water doesn't run off that easily. So I dug a trench along the concrete. 

Now I remembered one more thing, the roots are very much everywhere. 

Okay these lights came from Jeanne's shop. I guess a while back she got them and were going to put them in her and Bubby's restaurant. But as things went, things happened and she stopped it and moved on. Okay back to the lights. we talked about putting these up on the patio in back of the house. So, after I clean and get things in order, I will be doing that. 

It took me two and a half days to get it all cleaned up. 

After I got the two power lines running alongside the concrete. 

I dug a little more to get the bricks in. 

Then afterwards I put down bricks that I got from Linda and Waynes house before. 

This way the water might drain better. 

I pretty much had to clean the patio again. after digging up the roots and dirt. 

Hey the lights work. I needed to do some rewiring and trying to figure out what was the best way to plug them in. 

At first, I ran a cord to plug the lights into. Jeanne and I really didn't think it looked that good. So i went back to Home Depot and looked for some different ways of doing it. Thank you, Lord, He gave me the best way. 

This the still the old way I just plugged them in to see what Jeanne thought and how it will look. Very happy and now I will rewire them again and make them look even better. 

Okay I took the female side off the wire for the light hookups. Then put a male plug on them. How did I put the lights up? I am glad you asked. I screwed (Tap cons) a 4x4 plate to hold a 4x4 piece of lumber up. It is s 10" tall under the base. Then drilled a 1/2" hole and put a 8" blots, washers and nuts on them to keep them from falling over. Then yesterday I put in 5/16" concrete anchors in and blots the base down with them. 

So, if there is a hurricane coming our way. I just unplug them and take the blot out and unscrews the nuts that hold it all down. 

Folks I really love it when our Lord shows me and I can make is happen. I am so blessed to be able to call upon His name and know He is right next me and is listening. 

Oh, I did one more small job yesterday too. 

This is the generator box I built a couple of weeks ago. I needed a door and something to keep animals out. 

James next store had some chain link fencing and gave me a small piece, and it all worked out great. 

Just like I keep telling you, Jesus Christ loves you and just wants to hear from you. 

Call upon HIS NAME. 

 

I went out and bought a Royal Queen Palm.

It took me a few days to find this Royal Queen Palm. There is a guy on 10514 Okeechobee Road that sells these trees. His name is Bob. Really nice guy explained how to plant it and make sure I use a fertilizer that feeds. I only paid $50.00, and he was happy and that made me very happy. I got it home and cut the pot off and had to dig a little more to make sure it fit into the hole. 

The next few days I went out the Home Depot and bought some palm tree food. I dug some trench along the top of the small hill and put the feed there and then ran the garden hose out and found this. 

The water was not flowing correctly. So, I took the hose apart and wow, it kind of scared me this snake popped out. It wasn't a snake at all. I guess it's the cable that keeps the hose strength. 

Okay now I have another project I want to get done. A few months ago, I received a 10,000-watt generator from a friend of mine. I wrote about it earlier in my blog. Okay I found a spot to build a box for it to store and run during storms and afterwards. I cleared this are out along the house and built the frame to pour cement into. I did what they call a dry pour. All you do is, pour out your cement into the frame and water it on and off for a day and prayerfully it will work. 

O waited a day and then took off the lumber and checked it out. All is dry and looking pretty good, I think. 

I had some cinder blocks around the back along the shed. So, I brought them up here and laid the out to see how it will all work. Plus to see how many more blocks I will need. 

Before I picked the blocks up, used a spray paint can, to outline where they will end up. 

I got the first course. 

I came back the next day to finish it up. But I had to leave to go help Jeanne out at school. So I will be back tomorrow. 

I put the tarp and shutters on top so it will not hurt the pad. I noticed it still was not cured yet. 

Okay the blocks are in place. Now what? 

I cut the 4x4's to the length I need to put into the cinder blocks for the roof. 

I even put them on a angle so there will be a pitch to the roof. I was talking with James next store, and he was telling I should do that. I was thinking no, I will just put angles on the roof will work. But while pouring the wet cement in the blocks, why not just put a pitch on them? 

The next day, all dry and now how to build the roof? How to bolt it the block? I decide to just drill a hole in the 4x4 and put a 3/8 blots thru is and attack it that way. 

I was thinking, on the right-hand side, I can fasten that down and just use the left side to use to fill the gas tank and whatever else is needed to store it. (generator) 

So, I laid the sheet medal on top and cut it the way I thought would work. I sure can tell you this. 

GOD HELPED ME THROUGH OUT BUILDING THIS. 

HE IS SO GOOD TO ME. 

So, after fastening the larger roof side down. 

I brought the generator out and fastened to the eye bolt and locked in place. You see the chain link fence there? I will be bolting one side and putting up hooks for the right-hand side. 

Oh, I did spray paint it too. Its Smoky Beige color. 

I know this is i little harder than I thought it would be. But at the end it looks great, and it all comes down to HOW GOD HELPED ME BUILD AND DESIGN IT.

Prayerfully we will never have to use it, but it we do, it is ready.
