Yes, folks I am here in Nassau

I flew in on Saturday, and staying at Billy's house. Yesterday morning I woke up and walked down to the ocean to seek God and read my Bible. Folks what view he has.

It was so beautiful to see the sun raise and so many colors and how the clouds, just looks great.
As I was winding down, I was asking our Lord about what happen on Wednesday morning.
If you have been told yet, Kevin, (son while here in Nasau) Has passed away. There are many questions that I am asking about. But as I am here now, prayerfully I will find some out,
Billy leaned a car while I am here. so, I got up and drove around trying to find a BTC open. I didn't have a sim chip for my USA phone. So, I didn't want to spend more money than I would have too. All the BTC stories are closed on Sunday, but their website tells another story, saying they are open. To make a long story short, NOT AT ALL.
I drove to a couple of places to find a sim chip. But not today. So, I drove over to Calvary Bible.

This is their choir. Thay have some new folks up there since I have been gone. But still have a great sound. The pastor, Pastor Ellicott, his message was on the Christmas Story. It really was a great time and a lot of notes to take. But at the end I had a chance to get some what caught up with w few folks and was going to meet Kevin's mom at the house. I drove to the house and sat and talked with her, I while. She is doing okay, for now. But it is a shock still.
To, lead into what has happened. On Wednesday morning Kevin was found around the house, he had been murdered, and someone found him lying there. So, now you can somewhat understand why there are so many questions. Well, his mom has some questions answered, but she was going to the police station on Monday morning. I asked her to call or text me if we could get together and talk a little more. I have texted her and she wrote back, Ok. So, prayerfully we will sit and talk before I leave on Thursday this week.
So, I drove back towards the Billy's and stopped a few spots to just see what has been going on.

I am not sure who I was talking with a day or two about the canals. So, thinking I will take a drive over there and check it out. While going in the back bush, I looked up and saw this raven or hawk sitting on the top branch of this tree. He or she was beautiful.

Folks if you ever look back at my blog, Kevin and Scooby use to come over many times and just enjoy swimming here and even brought camp groups here.
This is the inlet, or outlet depending on low tide or high.

Looking down towards the land, there is a spilt here, goes to the left and right. While I lived here, I would ask why these are not developed yet??? It sure would be a great place to build some houses and be on the water's edge. But the only drawback is, the tides change like 4 feet every 6 hours.
So, I guess if you have any kind of big boat, you are limited to going or coming.

Okay, I stayed here for a little while and drove back to Billy's and helped out with the Adventure Learning Centre Drive Thur.

This is the manger scene. The wise woman, Joseph and Mary. I played the shepherd, and I even had lines to say. It was really fun; I did this the night before too. But I sure was looking forward in taking a shower and get to bed.
The drive thru went off great. Both nights I did we had around 100 + cars (vehicles) There were cars, vans trucks and taxis too.
This is something that each and every one that comes thru gets to hear the Word of God and to realize that Jesus Christ is Lord and Our Savor.

I have been handing these out to folks I talk with while here and traveling.
I only brought so many, I kind of wish I brough more, that would have been a great thing during the Christmas Drive Thru.
Well, like I said I am here until Thursday and will be flying out in the morning.
So, if you think of Kevin and his family and others around there, PLEASE SAY PRAYER OR TWO.
It is a rough time, and we all want everyone to know that Jesus Christ is our Savor.
I have pictures of Kevin but not sure why they are not uploading to this e mail address.
Prayerfully the next time I get online they will be there.

This was taken while Jeanne and I came over here in March of this year. This is Kevin a great man.
Just want to make sure everyone knows,
Kevin was baptized when he was 16 years old.
I BELIVE ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED.
So, we will see him again.

I am repairing Margo's guest bathroom.

I went shopping and bought what I thought I will need. Then brought is to her house and dropped it off. I just wanted to take the toilet out and get ready for the next day (Dec. 2nd.) to do the repair and put down plywood and new flooring and then a new toilet.

While I was cutting the old flooring out. I cut an electric romex wire. I found that it is a line going outside for the front outlets. So, I open it up and cleaned it and put connector on it with new wire. Then wrapped it in red electric tape and pushed it down so I will not have to deal with it again.

As I testing how the studs are a little shot. I ran sister boards along the old ones. Screwed them into the old ones and even put another sister board to reinforce the toilet seat.

I used 1/2" plywood and screwed down and even ran some caulk in the seams. You can see there is still some other boards that are somewhat damaged. I could have torn out all the plywood and redo it all. But the cost would be a lot higher to the customer. So, my plan is to drop a sheet of 3/8" Over the whole floor.

Today was a little longer than I like to work. But now I can come in the next day and put down the new flooring and run the molding all the way around the room. Then install the new toilet.
I came back the next day and installed the new flooring.

I got the flooring in, and this is the last piece to put it. After that I put the molding all the way around. Then I installed to toilet.
I finished up and just had a little more of making sure everything is looking good. I did put some caulk on along the molding around the bathtub. Plus, along the walls.
As i was trying to button everything up. Margo told me that she has to get ready for work. I said okay. So, I kept on working. I even put caulk on the inside of the toilet. It's a America Standard Toilet. Home Depot doesn't carry the Delta toilets anymore. So this was really the only one that I could see that would work for her bathroom. I really love the Delta toilets. When you put the tank on there are no bolts going thru the tank itself. They have like loops under the tank on the outside, you can't see them, but I never worried about the tank leaking. When I buy a toilet that the bolts go thru the tank. I have been putting caulk under the washers and after tightening the bolts I put more caulk on top of the bolt too. Just trying to make sure there are no leaks. So, I didn't turn the water on to the toilet, I will come back the next day and do that to make sure no leaks are happening.
Now Margo comes to me again and tells me she has to get ready for work. So, I didn't take a final picture of this bathroom. I was rushing to get out of her house.
I did come back the next day Dec.4th to turn the water back on and check for leaks. Thank you, Jesus no leaks and she handed me a check and she was veery happy to say the bathroom looks great.
Oh, before I left, she asked me to look at the other bathroom at the light above the sink.
Just needed to rotate the fluorescent bulb.
I forgot to take a picture. She told me after Christmas she might want to redo her bathroom.
Well, folks I got a call that kind of rocked me. I was told a gentleman I help raised in the Bahamas, was murdered.
His name is Kevin Poritier. He just turned 30m years old on March 17th. I got a call from a young lady that works at the Adventure Learning Centre. She called me around 2:27pm on the 3rd of Dec. Then I talked with a few people and just trying to find more out. Then found a new report that The Tribune wrote. I watched it with Jeanne. Folks I don't know the answers at this time. But I al flying over to Nassau tomorrow morning and prayerfully will find some answers.
I do ask for your prayers for his family, Kim (mom) he has four sisters. They can really use them now and for the next month or so. Being the Bahamas, I am not sure how fast I will be able to get things going??? So, please pray for me too.
Thank you so much to read all of my blog. My prayer for you is, Jesus Christ LOVES YOU.
