This last year I have been wondering about my family and friend out there, My question is, Have I shared enough about Christ with you all? I had a dream a couple of nights ago, not a good one at all. It was about a family member that I love very much that passed away. It was only a dream. The reason I ask this is, am I going to see all of my family in heaven one of these days? Or will I look back and say I should have shared more about Christ? The reason I say this is we all are going to pass from this world to death. Now are we just saying we believe we will be in heaven? Or do we all know for sure? Well I can tell you all this as I speak. I KNOW FOR SURE WHERE I AM GOING TO END UP. That is heaven and I know because of what I have read in my Bible. Please take a couple of minutes and read the following verse. Get out your Bible and look up the following.
1) Romans 3:23- is about how we all have sinner.
2) Romans 6:23- is about sin =death
3) Romans 5:8- God showed us great love
4) Romans 10:9-10 Confess our sins
5) Revelation 3:20 He knocks at your door today. Are you willing to let Him IN?????
I know most of you will not look up the verses and say I am going to heaven. Please if you think that, please read the verses to make sure.
John 3:1-8 This area talks about what it means to be BORN AGAIN.
Then look at John 3:16-17 Why Jesus came to save us.

Philosophy: Mayonnaise Jar and Two Coke Colas

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24
... hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 Cokes

... A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items
in front of him.

When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and
empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full.

They agreed that it was..

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into
the jar. He shook the jar lightly.

The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full.

They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the
jar.

Of course, the sand filled up everything else..

He asked once more if the jar was full...

The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two Cokes from under the table and
poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space
between the sand.

The students laughed..

'Now,' said the professor as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to
recognize that this jar represents your life.

The golf balls are the important things---your family, your
children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions---and if
everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be
full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your
house and your car..

The sand is everything else---the small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is
no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.

The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will
never have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Spend time with your children.

Spend time with your parents.

Visit with grandparents.

Take your spouse out to dinner.

Play another 18.

There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

Take care of the golf balls first---the things that really matter.

Set your priorities.

The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Cokes
represented..

The professor smiled and said, 'I'm glad you asked.'

The Cokes just shows you that no matter how full your life may
seem, there's always room for a couple of Cokes with a friend.

What has been going on?

This last week has been pretty quite. The reason I say that is, I really have not had the chance to take pictures of all, we have been doing. It really is my fault. Bob and I have worked on all kinds of items, just no pictures taken. I hope this week I will set a side some time to take some.
Just a recap, Bob and Faye are here now. Faye has pretty much been running the show at the Camp. You know getting things ready and just doing her ting. She is so faithful in cleaning and making sure tings look great. Just like yesterday, the kids left and she started cleaning up behind them. You know looking at what is needed this week to get this place back into shape again. She even did some wash. The pillow cases the kids used, she washed them plus a couple of pillows that got a little dirty.
Bob has been repairing all kinds of tings around here. Plus I had Tim helping us out on Thursday, he rebuilt the nail guns that we own. So now we have them working.
Over all things are looking good and I look forward in seeing what happens this week.

Good morning said a woman as she walked up to the man sitting on ground.

The man slowly looked up.
This was a woman clearly accustomed to the finer things of life. Her coat was new.. She looked like she had never missed a meal in her life.

His first thought was that she wanted to make fun of him, like so many others had done before.. "Leave me alone," he growled....

To his amazement, the woman continued standing.

She was smiling -- her even white teeth displayed in dazzling rows. "Are you hungry?" she asked.

"No," he answered sarcastically. "I've just come from dining with the president. Now go away."

The woman's smile became even broader. Suddenly the man felt a gentle hand under his arm.

"What are you doing, lady?" the man asked angrily. "I said to leave me alone.

Just then a policeman came up. "Is there any problem, ma'am?" he asked..

"No problem here, officer," the woman answered. "I'm just trying to get this man to his feet. Will you help me?"

The officer scratched his head. "That's old Jack. He's been a fixture around here for a couple of years. What do you want with him?"

"See that cafeteria over there?" she asked. "I'm going to get him something to eat and get him out of the cold for awhile."

"Are you crazy, lady?" the homeless man resisted. "I don't want to go in there!" Then he felt strong hands grab his other arm and lift him up. "Let me go, officer. I didn't do anything."
" This is a good deal for you, Jack" the officer answered. "Don't blow it.."

Finally, and with some difficulty, the woman and the police officer got Jack into the cafeteria and sat him at a table in a remote corner. It was the middle of the morning, so most of the breakfast crowd had already left and the lunch bunch had not yet arrived...

The manager strode across the cafeteria and stood by his table. "What's going on here, officer?" he asked. "What is all this, is this man in trouble?"

"This lady brought this man in here to be fed," the policeman answered.

"Not in here!" the manager replied angrily. "Having a person like that here is bad for business.."

Old Jack smiled a toothless grin. "See, lady. I told you so. Now if you'll let me go. I didn't want to come here in the first place."

The woman turned to the cafeteria manager and smiled....... "Sir, are you familiar with Eddy and Associates, the banking firm down the street?"

"Of course I am," the manager answered impatiently. "They hold their weekly meetings in one of my banquet rooms."

"And do you make a godly amount of money providing food at these weekly meetings?"

"What business is that of yours?"

I, sir, am Penelope Eddy, president and CEO of the company."

"Oh."

The woman smiled again. "I thought that might make a difference." She glanced at the cop who was busy stifling a giggle. "Would you like to join us in a cup of coffee and a meal, officer?"

"No thanks, ma'am," the officer replied. "I'm on duty."

"Then, perhaps, a cup of coffee to go?"
"Yes, ma’am. That would be very nice."

The cafeteria manager turned on his heel, "I'll get your coffee for you right away, officer."

The officer watched him walk away. "You certainly put him in his place," he said.

"That was not my intent. Believe it or not, I have a reason for all this."

She sat down at the table across from her amazed dinner guest. She stared at him intently.. "Jack, do you remember me?"

Old Jack searched her face with his old, rheumy eyes. "I think so -- I mean you do look familiar."

"I'm a little older perhaps," she said. "Maybe I've even filled out more than in my younger days when you worked here, and I came through that very door, cold and hungry."

"Ma'am?" the officer said questioningly. He couldn't believe that such a magnificently turned out woman could ever have been hungry.

"I was just out of college," the woman began. "I had come to the city looking for a job, but I couldn't find anything. Finally I was down to my last few cents and had been kicked out of my apartment. I walked the streets for days. It was February and I was cold and nearly starving. I saw this place and walked in on the off chance that I could get something to eat."

Jack lit up with a smile. "Now I remember," he said.. "I was behind the serving counter. You came up and asked me if you could work for something to eat. I said that it was against company policy."

"I know," the woman continued. "Then you made me the biggest roast beef sandwich that I had ever seen, gave me a cup of coffee, and told me to go over to a corner table and enjoy it. I was afraid that you would get into trouble... Then, when I looked over and saw you put the price of my food in the cash register, I knew then that everything would be all right."

"So you started your own business?" Old Jack said.

"I got a job that very afternoon. I worked my way up. Eventually I started my own business that, with the help of God, prospered." She opened her purse and pulled out a business card.. "When you are finished here, I want you to pay a visit to a Mr. Lyons...He's the personnel director of my company. I'll go talk to him now and I'm certain he'll find something for you to do around the office." She smiled. "I think he might even find the funds to give you a little advance so that you can buy some clothes and get a place to live until you get on your feet... If you ever need anything, my door is always opened to you."

There were tears in the old man's eyes. "How can I ever thank you?" he said.
"Don't thank me," the woman answered. "To God goes the glory. Thank Jesus...... He led me to you."

Outside the cafeteria, the officer and the woman paused at the entrance before going their separate ways....

"Thank you for all your help, officer," she said.

"On the contrary, Ms. Eddy," he answered. "Thank you. I saw a miracle today, something that I will never forget. And..And thank you for the coffee."

God is going to shift things around for you today and let things work in your favor.

It has been a while since we have done anything with the Bath House

You can see by the pictures that tings are moving forward. We have set aside some funds just to keep this going. It sure has been a rough road some days. With Mark keeping track of our funds. It has been wonderful to see this place shaping up.
I am not sure if you know this or not. I cleared this land when I first got here. That was 6 1/2 years ago. During that time we had missionaries doing the work. Sad to say that is not what is happening now. The reason is there has been a lot of tings happening in the world since then. The missionaries that started this have moved on to other things that are important to them. So mean while our Bath House has been sitting here. So now we are paying the Bahamian people to build this for us. It sure has been a road with a lot of bends and turns. But as you see it is going up and looking really nice at the same time.

The last picture is some of the colors we are using. These colors are already being used on and in the Cabins. So the color are matching. It really is a beautiful site to see and I will keep you all in the loop.

Thing that have been going on

During the Christmas time Billy and his family went back over to the states. Billy has three people living there. They are like his kids. They all work and even have go to school too. So not having water to bath and just get cleaned up is no fun at all. During his time away, there was some trouble with the water system. I looked at it and thought, no problem. Just replace the pressure switch. The reason I did that was. The pump would not go on at all. So after replacing the switch, it ran but it would not shut off. It would just try to keep running on the off, very fast. So thought what else can I do? So I bleed the water off the tank. No change. Added air to the tank. No, By God's grace Bob came in and we tried a couple of other things. Billy came home and we told him all that has happen about the water. So now Billy and I went down and bought a new pump. $420.00. Plus fittings too. Put in check valve after the pump. Still jumping all over. What I am trying to say about the pump is, it starts to build pressure and then it starts (clicking on and off)the pressure switch. It will not shut off. So we have to shut off the 220 volts with the main switch. We tried every thing we could think of. Still not right. So yesterday we found this old water tank that I gave him a while back, to build a grill out of it. We cleaned it up and hooked it all back up. MICKEY MOUSE, but it WORKS. So right now we have pipe here and there and just looks like a old show I use to love to watch, Three Stooges. Remember how they were called to repair some plumbing? They found out that there was wires in the pipes and they cleaned all of that out. Turn on the water and flooded the place. I look at what we did and just laugh. It works and Billy is happy and I guess we are too. So now him and his family can take showers and do their thing.
Down the road I told Billy maybe to buy a liner for the old tank and get rite of all this pipes and run it neatly.

I woke up this morning and just thought to myself HOW CAN IT BE? 2012???????
During this last couple of days I have been watching the Syfy Chanel. It has had it THE TWILIGHT ZONE. Which was a TV show I use to watch when I was a kid. Back in the 60's It is so funny how I watch them now and still remember some of them.
Getting back to how the time is going by so fast. I have been here now for 6 1/2 years at the The Adventure learning Centre. During this time it has been a real joy most times. You can understand when I say most times. There are days that seem to be, I wish I stayed in bed days too.
But this morning is one I have been looking forward for a while now. We will be picking up around 150 kids and adults. These students are from Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, Fl the whole 8th grade body. Half of them will be staying with us here at the Camp and the other half will stay at another camp around the corner, tonight and then tomorrow I will be taking them down to a place called Potters Cay. There they will be getting on a mail boat. They will be on their way to a Island called Eleuthera. There they will be going over to a camp called Camp of the Bahamas. There they will be doing work projects and just getting a chance to go to different school. Their main reason is to help out and do what ever is needed to get some work done. Plus they will spending some time having some fun too. Then on Thursday we will flip them with the other group. Group B will go over then and do some work too. This way everyone will have a chance to help out here and there.
I will try to keep you all up to date each day on what they did here. So please stay tune and see what our Lord will do with these kids and how they will be seeing Him in all they do. My prayers are that they will walk away from here and know Him even better.

As we progress through the year 2011, I want to thank all of you for your educational e-mails over the past year. I am totally screwed up now and have little chance of recovery.

I no longer open a bathroom door without using a paper towel, or have the waitress put lemon slices in my ice water without worrying about the bacteria on the lemon peel.

I can't sit down on the hotel bedspread because I can only imagine what has happened on it since it was last washed.

I have trouble shaking hands with someone who has been driving because the number one pastime while driving alone is picking one's nose.

Eating a little snack sends me on a guilt trip because I can only imagine how many gallons of trans fats I have consumed over the years.

I can't touch any woman's purse for fear she has placed it on the floor of a public restroom.

I MUST SEND MY SPECIAL THANKS to whoever sent me the one about rat poop in the glue on envelopes because I now have to use a wet sponge with every envelope that needs sealing.

ALSO, now I have to scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason.

I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl (Penny Brown) who is about to die for the 1,387,258th time.

I no longer have any money, but that will change once I receive the $15,000 that Bill Gates/Microsoft and AOL are sending me for participating in their special e-mail program.

I no longer worry about my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out for me, and St. Theresa's Novena has granted my every wish.

I can't have a drink in a bar because I'll wake up in a bathtub full of ice with my kidneys gone.

I can't eat at KFC because their chickens are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes, feet or feathers.

I can't use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day.

THANKS TO YOU I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.

BECAUSE OF YOUR CONCERN, I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove toilet stains.

I no longer buy petrol without taking someone along to watch the car so a serial killer doesn't crawl in my back seat when I'm filling up.

I no longer use Cling Wrap in the microwave because it causes seven different types of cancer.

AND THANKS FOR LETTING ME KNOW I can't boil a cup of water in the microwave anymore because it will blow up in my face. Disfiguring me for life.

I no longer go to the movies because I could be pricked with a needle infected with AIDS when I sit down.

I no longer go to shopping malls because someone will drug me with a perfume sample and rob me.

And I no longer answer the phone becausesomeone will ask me to dial a number for which I will get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica , Uganda , Singapore , and Uzbekistan ..

I no longer buy cookies from Timmies since I now have their recipe.

THANKS TO YOU I can't use anyone's toilet but mine because a big black snake could be lurking under the seat and cause me instant death when it bites my butt.

AND THANKS TO YOUR GREAT ADVICE I can't ever pick up $2.00 coin dropped in the parking lot because it probably was placed there by a sex molester waiting to grab me as I bend over.

I can't do any gardening because I'm afraid I'll get bitten by the Violin Spider and my hand will fall off.

If you don't send this e-mail to at least 144,000 people in the next 70 minutes, a large dove with diarrhea will land on your head at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, and the fleas from 120 camels will infest your back, causing you to grow a hairy hump. I know this will occur because it actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbor's ex-mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's best friend's beautician . .

Oh, by the way.....

Folks it is so hard to look at the calendar and see it is Christmas all ready. It seems like we just did this not to long ago. I watch Christmas Story last night. It is on TBS. It will be running for 24 hours, if you would like to watch it? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085334/
Yes this setting was back in my days. I remember so many things that I can relate to. The snow, older cars. How people used things to make their Christmas tree. Oh plus how he had trouble with the furnace. I remember some smoke coming up in our apartment a couple of times. Plus the smells of food being cooked down stairs. They were a Italian family. It was wonderful to smell their food cooking. Walking to school in the snow. I don't remember having any bullies, until I got older. The BB gun I remember very much how I would love one too. Now how about the tongue stuck to the flag pole??? Oh I think we all did that one time or other. Now my dad didn't win a lamp (leg) Boy Ralph really understood. (Laugh now)
Boy we all have memories and days like today we all go back and remember these things. Sometimes we don't want to remember certain things.
I pray that today you remember all the good you and your family had back then. My prayers are that if you had a bad life before, that you can start a New One with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savor.

MI just would like to give everyone update on all that has happen this last year. It has been a road with some bumps and even had some potholes too. Looking back I was still blessed in so many ways. If you have not be keeping up on my blog (http://tombahamasblogspot.com) This is my main way of telling the world all that has happen in my life since I have been here in the Bahamas. Yes I have been here now 6 and half years. I only sign up for 6 months.
I came here with pretty much things in a bag and now I have so much more. Our Lord has given me a change to raise a son here. His name is Kevin Emmanuel Poitier, he is 16 years old. He has been part of my life since I came back in 2005. His sisters and his mom lived next store to me, when I lived across the street of the ALC. So we have had some moments of growing together during those years. He has been living at the Camp with me now since June 2011. Last week I was showing him some picture I took back then. Boy he sure has grown up.
At the ALC some things have changed too. Mark Wallace is now our boss. Pastor Chet and his family are still part of the family, but they went back to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at the first part of the year.
We really have not done that much with the new bath house. But as I speak I hear them in the back ground doing some work. That is very good news to hear.
Over all I look back and see our Lord Jesus Christ very much part of all we do here and look forward in seeing this next year (2012).
Oh yes, I have a dog too now. His name is Scooby he was Pastor Chet’s. So you can just image all that has happen. Please if you think of us this Christmas. Please say a prayer or two. We have been blessed by Him and a couple of other people that have taken their time to help in our funds. If you could understand what the cost is to live here? I have now three mouths to feed. Just wantd to say THANK YOU ALL

Yes this last Saturday was my birthday. BIG 60?????Got up and tried to get to my e mails. It just worked for about half hour. I tried going on Face Book and even today will not let me in. So this is me sending a THANK-YOU TO ALL OF YOU THAT SENT ME A CARD OR FACE BOOK. I am very sorry about not writing sooner. I was hoping to get in and write to each one of you. Just a note why I am still writing on the computer today. I have this week off. by Mark's orders.
Folks if you know me at all, I really try not to spend to much time on the computer. Each morning I try to write something on my blog then write back to the ones that send me e mails. Plus like I said before, I have some trouble with inter net or computer. Not sure which one it is. I had a guy out here a couple of weeks ago, he was telling me that my memory card doesn't let me get in and out that easy. He said I need more memory. Like two cards, both 2 G each. I really not sure why that would be?
Okay now let me tell you what had happen on my birthday.
1) We had Kevin's family come over and have some good food and talking and even playing some games. What really was neat, they all showed up. Kevin's sisters and his dad. His mom came and left and then came back and that is how I got the shot below. Kevin has been telling me a couple of things about his passed. First is he doesn't have any pictures of his family. So I took a lot of them during their time here.
2) It is very hard to ever get them all together. So we pushed forward and asked and asked again. Pretty much every one came.
3) I have been wondering about his family since I am very much part of it now. How can we do Christmas this year? You know what I live on, so gifts are out for any one. So Kevin and I went shopping and bought all we needed to make this happen.
That is part one of my day.
Next Kevin and I were invited to our Singles ministry. So we both got some what dressed up. I went to put on the suit that I worn 4 years ago. The water here really causes your waste band to stink?????? Not sure how that happens. So Kevin now has both of my suits. He really did look shape that night. I am very proud of him and how he is growing up.
So we all went to the place called Verge Barbecue. A really nice place. The prices are high but you can feed two to three people from one plate. I thought the ribs needed to be cooked more. They were red inside. I found out they were smoked not grilled. This night was to cost around $40.00 pre person. But there is a friend of ours that works for Atlantis.(Shelly) (Thank you) She bought our appetizer. So the bill was cut in half. It only cost me $40.00 for the both of us, Kevin and myself.
After dinner Veda had them send out the crew for birthdays. They sang a song and gave me a cup cake. Plus someone wrote on the plate Happy Birthday. It really was nice and I was surprised.
From there we took a walk around and ended up at the Star Bucks in Atlantis. We all sat down and Veda played some games with us. Kevin did well, he answer most of the questions before Veda asked. But he only got one prize. The rest he gave away to others that didn't have any.
Now was the time for the group shot. We did on the stair case. It really did come out nice. All the pictures I am talking about are below.
Then we went and did some dancing. That was Kevin,Veda,Michelle,Syla and Urraca. Boy they had some fun. They all did the Slide. Kevin and I left around midnight. Boy it sure was a long day

The Candy Cane Story

A candy maker in Indiana wanted to make a candy that would remind people of the true meaning of Christmas; so he made the candy cane to incorporate several symbols for the birth, ministry, and death of Jesus Christ. He began with a stick of pure white, hard candy. White to symbolize the Virgin Birth and the sinless nature of Jesus, and hard to symbolize the Solid Rock, the foundation of the Church, and the firmness of the promises of God.

The candy maker then shaped his cane into the form of a "J" to represent the precious name of Jesus, who came to the earth as Savior. It could also represent the staff of the "Good Shepherd" with which He reaches down to to reclaim the fallen lambs who, like sheep, have gone astray.

Thinking that the candy was somewhat plain, the candy maker stained it with red stripes. He used three small stripes to show the stripes of the scourging Jesus received. The large red stripe was for the blood shed by Christ on the cross so that we could have the promise of eternal life.

What is going on with the old bath house

Well last week-end we had some college kids here. During their stay I kept hearing the water pump running on and off. Pastor Ed looked at it and fixed that part. Now the mens urinals kept on running. So we dicided to repair them. Found out that there is a lot more to repair than we first thought. So then thought replace only the urinals water supply. Started doing that and found out there is pipe tied in to other pipes. We went back to the source. So we first put a new valve on the main line. So during the repairs, the guys working on the new bath house will have water, to mix up what they need. Worked great, then while cutting the old lines found out the water was coming in with the old pipe in the wall. So we capped all line that we thought were tried together. Then I went to open the main valve and no water at all. What is going on. So Pastor Ed and I thought we can do this. So I capped more lines and still didn't work. Pastor Ed left to go back home yesterday. So during my time trying to figure this out. I called Mark. So we cut the new valve out. That was okay. Cut the old valve out and found that was closed. HOW. I tried closing that the first time working on the water lines. It didn't close. That is why we put the new valve in. Now I just cut out ALL the old pipes. Ran a new line to the bath house. Now have water. So I thought great. Turned on the water. I heard water running inside the building. What could that be? I found out it was one of the new pipes we put in for the urinal. What happen was while I was bolting down the new pipe I pulled the strap to tight. Broke off at the top. Now this is why we put in new pipe so we would not have to take the old urinals down. Now I have to pull the one down to repair it. Boy Lord I really am not having any fun with this. I thought in maybe two days have all new pipes in and having good flow for the bath house. Today I have to pull the urinal and then finish up the girl's side. It just seem like we can not win. The only reason we are doing all this is. The new bath House will not be ready for CCA (160) kids coming in January 2012. So this is our only bath room for them.

Kevin started on the silhouette, first part of the class. Then the teacher had them start another one. I am very proud of what he has done. The fist picture you see has all these small dots. They are called Stipling (spelling not sure, can not find it in dictionary) It is taking a special pen, Gel #2. Then you have to figure out the shadows and make it come alive. This took him many hours to do. Just image sitting there putting dots down. He has told me that a couple of times he fell asleep. To me these are beautiful art pieces and I really see a talent in his work. He has been doing other work like this before school started. I believe our Lord will use his talent to bring glory to His name. I have been told he really does have a eye for art work.

Last Friday, early morning a fire broke out at a building next to the old Straw market TENT. In this area there was about 8 to 10 straw vendors set up there plus their goods that they sell each day. I have not heard how and what happen about the fire. But they say they are looking into maybe some one starting it. Like I just told you not sure what happen.
I do know right next store is the New Straw Market. We have been told it is ready to open. But the sad part is WHEN. I know a couple of weeks ago while down there with my family and friends the women there selling things were telling me, they really want to get into the new market. By looking at the pictures I have taken while this place was being built. It really looks like it will be beautiful and I believe the tourist will love it too. Right after writing this I will put up some pictures of the NEW Market.
I ask for prayer for the vendors that don't have a place to sell their goods plus what ever they lost during this last fire here. Even one more prayer, that the tourist will keep on coming over here to the Bahamas. You know how it goes, if there is no place for them to shop, why come here.

Yesterday, my cousins came to town and we just enjoy it all. They came on a ship, you see one of the pictures below. I should have taken it earlier in the day. You really can not see that good. It is one of the larger ships that come each week. They pull in at 12pm and leave that night around 12am. From there they go to one of the smaller island. Which I guess they have some set up there for their guest to take in. From there they leave to go back to Florida (today)
They brought a couple with them too. By looking at the pictures below you can see a group shot. Jon, Debbie,Kevin,Cheryl and Roger. Debbie is my cousin and Jon is her hubby. The other two are good friends and they meet at a show that they all deal with. The way they make their money is buying tings there and selling them on Ebay. I know Debbie and Jon have been doing this for about 4 years. Jon was telling me how they look around at the store and make purchases some things and go back home to their computer and take a picture and put it on Ebay. Jon was telling me that some times they buy something that will sell and others stuff will not.
While here we went to the Straw market. They looked around and bought a couple of tings. From there I took them East. I had a chance to show off this place a little. Then got to ALC and they fell in love with this place. I showed them around and during their time there, we had a birthday party going on. So they had a chance to see what the kids do while here and just get a feel of what and why we do what we do. Let this nation hear about Jesus Christ and why and how the animals are so much needed on this earth. From there I brought them over too the Camp. We had a group in there too. It was a church retreat.
We left there and started down to the fish fry, (Awawak Cay) Had a nice dinner and we started out to go to Atlantis. Like I said we started out to go there. But Bay Street is being torn up and the traffic was moving very slow. So we all talked about maybe not this time. Dropped them off and said a good byes and they went to the ship and Kevin and came straight home. I really did enjoy having them here and how fast the time went by. I have missed seeing my cousin and just doing a quit trip like that just made my day. Debbie and I were very close when we were kids. It really was neat the time grouping up and have family like her around.
My prayer is that more family would come over and spend some time to vist here. I love showing this place off plus.

Now back when this place first started in 1993(?) I have seen pictures of ALC back then. Henry was very much part of how this came about. He gave us the John Deere (you see in the back ground) I had a chance spend time where Henry lives,Charlotte, MC. That was all most two years ago. While there I would go on walks with him and he told me all kinds of things about ALC. It really was a neat time and very relaxing too. I am thinking about going back there next year for a vacation. (maybe)
Henry is in town for a week. He is staying at Billy's house while here. Billy has known him for over 20 years. They are from the same church back in Wisconsin. Henry and his wife Marie retired a while back and now live in this place called Carmel Hills Retirement. This place is a wonderful and very nice home. Like I said before, I stayed there a while back. If you want to see pictures and stories about my time there. Go back to year 2010 January. There is a lot of things I did while there.

I have been trying to get on to add pictures since Monday. So I tired again today. Yes it seem to be working good today. There was a guy out here a couple of days ago. He was asked to come and check out our inter net and other problems. His name is Barry. Really nice guy. He went first to the Centre, found out the wireless was not plugged all the way. Then he came over here, Camp. He did a couple of tests. He thinks it is not the inter net, but my computer. He told me to buy some more memory for it and it should fix the problem. I have not bought it, but like I said it works good today.
If you look below and see how the fences and gates are pretty much rotten out. So a couple of Tuesdays ago, Tim came in and we made up one side the goat gate. The next day I built the other side. On Friday Harri came in and we hung it and it worked out great. All the boards are even. Plus it is hung well too. I really am happy to see how this all came together. Tim was the one that started it and showed me how to do it right. By God's grace I think it looks good.
Now the front gate. Someone hit the gate when it was not open all the way. So it bent and broke the arm on it. I took it apart and put in a eye bolt to replace the roller bearing. It worked okay for the day. I looked at the part that was broke. I told myself, I have nothing to loose by trying the weld it myself. By His grace it did good and I replaced the eye bolt with the old part. Just need to try it and see what He can do with things that are damaged and how He is the One that really does make it happen.
Now the log between the tyres on the bus? One of the staff must have back up and the 8X8 was right in the middle of the tyres and it got stuck. Eric and I talked about it and I was thinking of pulling the tyre off. Eric was thinking using a chain saw. Great idea and it worked.
Over all this week has been some blessings and some trouble too. Like yesterday. There was a Hyd line leaking. I worked on that on and off for like three days. Trying to get the line off. Mark came out and he looked at it and said let us try this? Which we did and got the old line off. I took it down to Knowels Welding and he used brass the a torch and it seems to be holding well. I put it all back together. Then tried to work on finding out why now it only runs for a minute or two. While loosing up the injector nuts. I now broke the return line on the top of the engine. Boy if this is not a problem? I broke one of these a couple of years ago. There is no John Deere part store here. Need to get the part from Ft. Laud. I just look on and say why Lord?

Yesterday I was dropping off Kevin at school. On the way there or even when we pull up to the school we pray each morning. Protect us and help us trust Him today. Plus there is more. But this morning I was running a little late. See when I drop him off, I need to turn around and go back the way I came. So I was backing up and heard a horn blow, not knowing it was for me? The reason I say this is, every one here uses the horn to push people along or thank you, beep. I didn't look behind me backing up. The reason is I just pulled in and know their would be no one back there. So I just keeping backing up and boom. My truck stopped and I looked in my mirror and see this car behind me? What happen? I get out of my truck and ask what happen. She was very clam and asked me to pull forward a little and see what damage there is. I pulled forward and saw her bumper pushed in some. I gave her my card and told her if she needed any help in repairing it just give me a call and I will fix it.
So last night laying around watching TV I got a call and it was her. She tells me the dent is gone and not to worry about it any more. She came out of her office and it was gone. I was like Hu. So I wrote to her this morning telling her I am so happy to hear that and let her know how good my Lord is, in answering prayers.

What the Bahamain people do on Halloween Night

Instead of going out Trick Or Treat? They pretty much go over to a friend's home or go some place to light off Fire Works. You can buy them pretty much any where, like small Mom and Pop food stores here. It really is kind of funny how so many people do this. Now in nice areas, (Blair) the kids go out and Trick Or Treat there. I thought about taking Kevin out there but realize he is 16 years of age and they might not give him any thing? So we stayed home and he had a sparkler that Josh gave him awhile back. So that is what happens here during Halloween night. There were so many fire works going off it really sounded like a battle field. It went on until around 11 pm.
I heard back up north in the states they didn't have Halloween this year, because of the snow and how bad it was outside. I remember myself back in my youth. It sure seems like it rain every Halloween night. I do remember one year how cold it was out too. I use to really like that night when I got older, it was a night to party and make a fool of yourself too.
Now during my older days. I am so happy to say I don't do that many foolish tings any more. I still make mistakes, but I am forgiven by His blood.

The reason say this is today the inter net is working well and I can put tings on the blog with out waiting forever. I am not sure if it is the computer or that? All I know is today it is working correctly. This make me very happy. I hope after this to get to do some my e mails.
You can see that we are moving forward with cleaning up this place but tings keep on breaking still so I still have some thing to do each day.
I hope today to work on the John Deere. It only runs for about 3 minutes and then dies. I know it is the fuel problem. The reason I say this is using Starting fluid it will keep running. I have changed the filter and put in in line pump and pretty much cleaned and make sure fuel is coming up to the injector pump. I got to running two days ago and then,blew a hyd line now. The line is one of the metal ones and I just can not get it to it easy. It just keeps breaking down. I really am looking forward in seeing Bob and Faye in Jan to hopefully fix every thing and I can take a vacation. We will see what happens.
Tomorrow we will be having a broad meeting here and my prayer is that they see what we need and maybe get us some more help with our funds.

Last Friday afternoon, Kevin and I invited his sister Vanessa and her boy friend Anthony and their child. To come over to the Camp and enjoy some good cooking (Kevin did it) and just play around a little. Vanessa is Kevin's older sister, not sure how much more? He has one more a little older, Pebbles. She has two children. She has been living in Free Port with her dad. But I know that this day was one that Kevin will not forget. He talks about his family much. The sad part is, his younger sisters still live at home with their mom. We have called, Kevin's mom (Kim) many times to ask if we can come over and take the girls out to the beach or what ever. Kim tells Kevin, no they have work to do around the farm that they live at. I will try this week to call and see, maybe she will say yes this time. I know Kevin misses his sister very much. They are a little younger than him. But they still are his sisters and we will see what happens this week-end? Would love to get them all together plus their mom. Maybe one of these days that could happen.
By looking at the food, you surly can see it was not my fixes? Kevin cooked up 5 chicken halves and stuffing and mash potatos, plus some mixed veggies. Kevin loves to cook and this just gives him a chance to show how our Lord has blessed him and shown favor too. I am very blessed to have a son like him and proud too.
This last Friday was our day off, reason it is called Discovery Day. Columbus Day in the states. They really don't like Columbus Day, so they make up their own holiday.
Oh the rest of this week, Kevin has off from school. Today Wednesday is a Fun Day, so he wants to stay around and help us at the Centre. Then Thursday and Friday is Med Terms. Med Terms to me meet, testing? Which means two more days off. I just don't get it. The school system here is more for days off than on. Now maybe we can figure out why our school grade (avg) is only a D. Kevin has been doing well there but I still have not meet his teachers. We had a PTA meeting last month and it went so long that we could not stay after to talk with them. I hope maybe this next week to stop in and ask to talk with them. Kevin is showing me some great grades, but he never has home work? Please keep him in prayers, I really want him to do well. One reason is I didn't do well in school and wish I could go back and do my best. Not just be able to pass.

Yesterday morning a group of 9 folks cam in form Fort Lauderdale,Fl. They have come to give us a helping hand or two. After lunch we started to working on different projects. The guys took off the old roof and replace plywood on the Pig Pen. Remember the tree that fell on it and broke up the roof? The girls were pressure washing the stalls. Around 7pm we finished up and got back the Camp and had a nice dinner pizza and a good salad.
Today our plan is, finish up the roof and the girls to paint all of the stalls. We here at ALC are blessed to see helpers and willingness to do what ever is needed. I hope to get the roof and ad least on stall painted. Then this afternoon they are going over to Hatiation camp and just give out some hot dogs and chips. I hope to take some pictures then and share them with you later on. My prayer for every group that comes here, that they are blessed and know that they were used by God to do His work.
