This is Gladys house. She asked me to paint her carport and fix up the steps. I took the old carpet off and went to Home Depot and bought some other carpet she wants.
These steps she only wants me to paint them white and that is it. I don't think it's a good idea. But she wants them white. She is the one paying me to do the job and she gets what she wants.
I got cleaning with the Home Armor that I get from Home Depot and noticed that there is some grease or something like that on the driveway.
I asked Gladys for some Dwan dish soap. I squirted it out and just scrubbed very hard with a brush and then used the pressure washer to make it look great and it will be ready stain this carport.
Prayerfully it will dry, and I can come back Tuesday and paint the steps and put new carpet on the front steps.
I installed the new indoor and outdoor carpet and now I used a paint brush to perimeter. I used to paint driveways back in 1984 to 1986. Back then I used to do the same thing brush the perimeter and hard to get into places. Like along the carport edging.
I painted the two sets of steps with white paint, and she still thinks it's a good idea.
I can tell you this, it was a very hot day and the weather app tells me that it will be raining around 3pm. So, I need to get it down and let's see what happens.
After some time, I finished up and walked around and made sure it looks great and prayerfully it will dry faster today, being so hot out here.
It's kind of funny, after I left, on the way to the school it started raining and I just kept asking the Lord to PLEASEN PROTECT THAT PAINT JOB.
Which HE DID. Folks the rain was pouring down, and lightning was flashing all around and BIG BOOMS too.
Okay Wednesday is here, and I need to look and see how the paint held up. GREAT.
I have another job next story, and the pictures below will be Linda's house.
What has happened, last year a tornado came thru this area and Linda told me that the screen room medal had been pulled away from the frame. So, Linda got her drill gun out and put a bunch of screws in to hold it for now.
So, she asked what I could do to make is look better? So, I went to Home Depot and looked at their prices and thought it would cost about $150.00+. I stopped at Apple Industrial. They sell and cut plus weld and pretty much do a lot of some with medal.
Hey, I saved her about $80.00 bucks and it pretty much the same aluminum.
It took me all day to take all the screws out and cut and put up the aluminum up and it turned out a lot better than I thought it would. Linda was very happy, and I did stop and look at Gladys carport and it all looks great too.
PRAISE YOU LORD AND THANK YOU.
On Thursday morning Presley loves to sit next to me and just watch. Isn't he so CUTE?
Yesterday, I helped out a Carnival Day at Westwood High School.
First thing I need to do is, put the tent up and set everything up and get ready to sell some Tacos, Lemonade and brownies/chocolate chip cookies. Each item cost Jeanne around $.50. We each for $2.00.
The 5th period students came in the classroom, and I took three of them with me to finish setting up the tent and tables and whatever else was needed to make it happen. After this period, Jeanne and all of them came out with the supplies and food and everything else that is needed to make the tacos and sell.
During this time, it's the last period of the day and it's Carnival Day. There are many folks selling all kinds of food and drink and this is Jeanne's 6th period class. They helped out and they even had lunch time to go see the rest of the carnival. Ther was a D.J. playing music.
This is my station. I am the one selling the tickets. We have white tickets for the tacos, and the brownies/CC cookies and lemonade are the red ones.
At the end of this class pretty much all the students left to go home. Chef Gray asked for some students to stay after, and it all worked out great.
We needed help to break everything down and put all things back into place.
I had three students help me clean up outside and Jeanne took the rest of them back to the kitchen and started cleaning up everything else.
The students did a really good job cleaning everything up and putting the things back where they.
belong.
I took all the money and tickets and figured out how we did. Overall, the Jeanne's culinary class made around $500.00 in profit. The reason we do this and sell, breakfast to the teachers, and events. This way, Jeanne and make food and even feed her students. The state doesn't give her any money at all for her program or for things she needs to show the students how to cut and make and just clean and all the things it takes to run her program.
We are very blessed, and I know Our Lord is part of everything we do in this class.
Folks I am reading Isaiah. I am only in the first part of it and God is trying to get Israel's Attention.
He warns them that another JUDGEMENT DAY is coming. Folks we are in that day again.
PLEASE JUST TRUST JESUS CHRIST AND ASK HIM INTO YOUR HEART.
