As for a Friday we had a chance to go to Baltimore.

This is the Walters Art Museum. This is is large and has four (4) levels (floors). We spent about five (5) hours in here. There was still a couple of floors we missed. It is like anything else. If you really enjoy something, you take your time and pretty read everything. 

This place was set up by Henry was the son and he is the one that save all this and gave it to Baltimore for the future museum. 

This is just one of the rooms that are set up just like where him and his dad lived. 

Out of all the pictures in this one room, I really enjoyed checking this one out more than any other. The story is in the next picture. 

Thru out the museum there is different books that you can read and get to know more about the art work. 

I had to go out and move the car. The reason was I was being cheap and save a buck or so. So the first two hours was free. But had to move it. If you look closely you can see it is the area I am parked. So just moving to another parking space, still get a ticket. I ended up paying for parking. No biggie, the museum was free. 

So while driving around I saw different sites.

This wall has people ideas on what they learned while here. 

I guess the kids had a lot of fun here? 

This young lady was one of the ones that take X rays of the art work and checks to see if there is anything below the top art work. She was telling us that she has worked on this for over a year. There are many levels of paint. You know as you have this art work and it is fading I guess people just want it to look the best it can. If you look at the Christ children someone repainted over the red clothes. There is just one red paint and it doesn't look like the rest of the art work. She was telling us it will be another 4 to 6 months to finish this one picture. 

I was checking this one piece out and it was so much detail. 

These four (4) items were on top of a building. The note tells us it was damaged by earthquake. 

Over all this was a wonderful time and I wish we could have saw everything. But time was winding down. Really didn't want to get into traffic. You know rush which is not really RUSH HOUR????

I have many more photographs of the art work and other things we saw. I hope to put more in tomorrow.

Well this is looking out the back window of Don's home. 26 deg. 

I needed to move my car so Meg could get out and visit a friend during this day. You can see what temp. 19 F. Kids this is uncalled for. I was freezing my noise off yesterday morning. 

This is my car renal while here. I am paying $17? a day. It really is a nice ride and the heater works. Thank you Jesus.

I really was trying to show you my breath, you know like steam coming out?

This was a little later in the morning. I have a friend that let me us their ski cap. I am very blessed that I brought it along. I used it every time I went outside. Plus Meg let me barrow some gloves too. Oh the jacket it is her son's too. Folks I am still having some fun and just enjoying my time.

Okay thinking how cold it is out?What should I do? Okay let me walk around another mall. So I drove to the Mall Of Columbia.I walked into the Sear's entrance. 

Okay I have not seen snow blower for many years. That is the area I came from 43 years ago. NORTH, Like Cleveland, Ohio, Rochester, NY. BURRRRRRR.

Right when I walked out of Sears I saw this Merry Go Round. It really was a beautiful site.

Hey folks, this site you see above, check it out. I know I have friends in Fort Lauderdale, Fl use this site to get some great deals. 

Okay I walked around the top and bottom floors of the mall and just enjoy the shops and things. On the way back I stopped at McDonald's and got the 2 for $2.00 deal. That right you have a chose of double hamburger, chicken sandwich, fries or even some cheese sticks. I am still cheap when I have to buy food. I only ate the top roll and the meat. I was okay. Nothing to write home about. 

Hey while it is cold outside, I really can not do my walks or even ride Don's bicycle. So I walk the malls.  

Okay we have some time to kill. Mall walking, it is warm inside.

Okay what is going on? Well Meg and I had lunch with her hubby Don and a couple of his fellow workers at Costco. Then right across the street Meg and I spent some time just walking around this out let mall. Folks I don't I have ever been in a Pro Bass Shop before? The reason I say that is, this place is neat. Just walking around and see all the fun stuff things you that they sell there. You know sporting good thing like fishing and hunting. 

It really was a enjoyable store to walk around and just look. In a way t is like guys going to Home Depot. 

Then I saw this small child riding a large stuff animal, with his mom. Then saw the display where you can rent them. This would be a money maker, I would think? I have a friend of mine back in the Bahamas, he is always looking for a money maker. I will send this to him and see what happens? 

Then I saw this. We have something like this back in Coral Spring Mall. Over head can not be that much? 

Then I saw Johny Rockets. There is one of these back on Paradise Island of Nassau. Just brings back a couple of reminders. 

So we got back home and just sat around and enjoying the warm home. During the news I saw this and I said to myself, why am I here???? 

They were saying it was snowing down town Baltimore. I didn't see any here. 

Up up and away. Flew to Baltimore MD.

Taking the Tri Rail to the Fort Lauderdale Airport. This was at 5:40 am. 

This is the shuttle that takes to from the train station to the airport. 

Got there and was hungry and thirst. Didn't have my large ice coffee, the reason was, t much caffeine is not good for me flying. I get to work up and knowing I will be sitting for 2 hours or more in a small plane, doesn't work well with me. I was really surprise to see the Jamiba Juice was cheaper than I thought. I know in the Bahamas it was like $11.00 for a medium. Here it was like $7.00 with tax. It really hit the spot and filled me up. I got the Caribbean Juice something. 

Now sitting around waiting for the flight to board. This table here was very popular.  It is a charging table. You know your battery is dieing  and you want to work on the lap top or even your phone while waiting around. 

The flight was full. But it was very relaxing. The TV worked. 

This is the bus that takes you to the car rental place. It was about 8 minutes away. I can tell you this, IT WAS COLD OUTSIDE. Even when I got off the plane and walk in the terminal was chilly. 

I got my little Chevy and drove to Don's home and just hung out with his wife Meg. It was so good to see these two. Don got home later that night. Sat around and watched the collage football game. 

Well this week -end we have ourselves a man that knows how to budget. Dave Ramsey (FPU)

I am very bless to go to a church that is looking out for it people. This new year, Pastor Doug and the other pastors are trying to help us. During the next nine (9) week we will be doing classes on Financial Peace University. 

These are classes on how to budget your fund and learn how to pay off your debts. 

The You Tube site below tells of his story and how he has been rich and then poor and now rich again. He uses the Bible has what God has told us and shown us how we all should not be in debt. 

Just one verse comes to mine as I write about this. 

Proverbs 22:7 Just as the rich, the poor, so the borrower is servant to the lender. 

I hope you can listen and learn how easy it is when you are using God' Word to guild and direct your lives.

This is just something really weird.

A couple of night ago, I was having coffee with a friend at Dunkin Donuts. Afterwards I walked out to my truck and saw this on my windshield. Now who would put something like this on my truck? 

 I still not sure what this means? Maybe they thought I was Tim Conway? Do you remember the Carol Bernnet Show back in the 70's or maybe 80"s? Many years ago, I have been told I look a lot like he did. I am not even sure if he is still a alive? 

Weird

About three days ago, I dropped my Braun shaver.

So I went on line looking for a new foil head and blades. This was not the site I was looking at then. The one I was looking at told me that my foil head would cost around $36.00. So I thought maybe try Walmart. I went to two stores and they were sold out. So thinking I need a razor. Now I do use the Good News razor in the morning. But I miss some places. 

So as I was at Walmart. Let us see what new razors go for. I found this one for $24.82. Not bad. The heads I am looking for are$36.00 and then have to pay for shipping too. Okay I will give it a try. I got is home. It takes 16 hours to get a full charge on this one. So after a full day of charging it. I tried it out, it was okay. But I could still feel some stubble afterwards. 

Okay let me a try to find a new head for my Braun. I found one at Coral Springs Walmart on Sample. $26.82. I take it. 

So today I will be taking the Remington back and getting my money. Oh what a different kind of shave. I don't think I will give up my Braun. It feels so much better and does a 100% better job too. See you get what you pay for. 

Well folks it is that time of the year.

Okay what will happen this year with Social Security? That right I am still not to the full age to retire. Just by doing this now I see I will not be to the age of full retirement until 2017. What happen to 65? I thought when you turn 65 that is the full age. So I need to to re think my next step. Maybe that is why I still not sure what He wants of me. 

Have you look around and ever ask this question. Who is my God?

Moses announced in Exodus 15:11, “Who among the gods is like you, Lord? Who is like you—majestic in holiness?” The psalmist asked, “Who in the skies is comparable to the Lord? Who among the sons of the mighty is like the Lord” (Psalm 89:6).  Isaiah wrote, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory” (Isaiah 6:3)!

God is not just holy or holy, holy, holy—he is wholly unlike us. Pain does not plague him. The economy does not faze him. Elections do not define him. Diseases do not infect him and death cannot claim him. Ephesians 3:20 proclaims he is “able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.” Stare at the mountain less and at the Mountain Mover more. Ponder the holiness of God. Let his splendor stun you and inspire you!

This is a neat picture. New Years Eve 2015 going into 2016

I got this from a friend at work. I think he said it was a picture that a relative sent him. But is sure is pretty. Look how busy that place is. 

This is Rick, one of our maintenance guys.

As our day started out. There were some work projects that needed to get done before the service time at 6 pm. So Scott and I got most of our work done. You know moving racks of chairs that were used for our New Years Eve service. Plus a couple of other things. But as time was winding down, Rick was in a pinch. These signs and lines need to get done in less than two hours. 

The problems were, we could not just hang these signs like normal ones. You know using ceiling clips. No they wanted these in the drywall part of the ceiling. So that turned out to be more of a project than planned. So we worked together on those signs and then helped put the white stripes down too. 

At the end it really came out pretty nice. If you look down the hallway, doesn't it look like a road you drive on? That is the purpose of the lines and signs. We have started a teaching on getting free from debt. 

It is all tied in with Dave Ramsey teaching on Financial Peace University. These classes I took a while back. It is showing you how to set up a budget and how to get all your debt paid off in a orderly way. You know if you keep track of what you spend and see where your funds go. You will be amaze. Wow I have been wasting my money on what? 

It is a funny thing I have heard many years ago.

Look at any ones check book and you will figure out what is their most important thing to them is. 

Okay now Pastor Doug is doing a teaching for the next 5 weeks on Your Journey Starts Here.

Then next week-end Dave Ramsey will be doing the teaching at Calvary Fort Lauderdale on his Biblical view. 

Hey folks if you are in debt and not sure how to fix the problem. Please look into Financial Peace University classes. At Calvary starting next week. There will be many classes to choose from. Morning and afternoon and evening. So this is a great time to to start your year off trying to get out of debt. 

By His grace I have been debt free before 1995. But you can look on and say, you don't own anything too. That is true and down the road this year ahead. I will be looking at what He wants of me. This way I am willing and ready to do His work. 

How did Calvary celebrate New years Eve?

Well as we have been doing these events for many years. It seams like we always fall short some where. That right last around 7 pm or so. We found out the Theater video department is having trouble with viewing the movie that we got. The movie's name is War Room. 

So as the over seers of the sanctuary came over the radio saying we need to set up the gym, for over flow. I was listening but not really. Come on, we could have set that up on Tuesday all the way up to Thursday afternoon, if we knew that. But as we got the worship team and others to help set up the gym. It all fell into place. It was ready for over flow. Which you can see we needed it. 

The two pictures above are during the break between the movie and the New Years Eve service to start. Pretty much everything fell into place and I believe it was a hit. 

Well afterwards we needed to break this room down. The real neat thing was there was a young couple that was breaking the room down when I got there. It was such  surprise to see them taking down the chairs. Folks I know we have problems every once and while. But our team seams to always come thru. As the night was winding down. We pretty much got all the chairs out of the gym. Now on Saturday they can come in and clean and Scott and I will push the chairs back into the storage areas. then too. 

I am very blessed to call this place my work and family. 

If you have not gotten a text, email or even a phone call from me. I am sorry for not wishing you a HAPPY NEW YEARS. But here goes,HAPPY NEW YEARS AND I AM LOOKING FORWARD IN SEEING WHAT THIS YEAR BRINGS. 

Our Lord Jesus Christ has it all under control. We might look on and say why does this happen and that? Well His way are not ours and by say that. I am very happy to call him MY LORD.
