On my other side of my home, is Brenda

Back in Oct. Brenda and I were talking about the tree in back of our yards. Thinking this tree is dead. So she wrote a letter to the park management, asking if they would remove the tree? Back then they said it was not their problem. She would have to have a tree guy come in and take it down. 

Mean while this last week one side of the tree broke off and hit her roof. There really was no big damage. But there was some. So the park came out and repaired her roof. Then the next couple of days a couple of guys came out and cut it down. 

It really is nice to live here and see how easy life can be. '

Praise HIM. 

My neighbor Roy fixing up his bathroom.

As I live next store to him. He is saying one of these days I am going to redo the bathroom. Well that day has come. 

You can see he even painted the walls. He really hated the orange paint. He put down the real nice wooden (vinyl) floor. It really came out looking good. Had some troubles with the cuts on the side, but looks great to me. 

We went to Home and Depot, way out west to the city of Okeechobee. It was a thirty mile ride out and back. Plus Roy called to make sure they had one. The young lady at the desk told him, she would call to let him know. So we started out driving. Got there and the guys was still looking it. But he found one and we were on our way home again. 

Got home and took a look and trying to figure out what needs to be cut. The reason is the plumping in home like ours is sometime a pain in the neck. It doesn't always fit right in. 

So we cut and cut some more and it looks pretty good. Before we got it all in, had to cut some more. 

This was worth the trip and all the extra cuts. 

Roy bought got a new toilet and it looks great. Now when his wife Pat comes home she should be very happy. She is up in Jersey staying with her sister. Her sister's hubby had a big medical operation. So she will not be back until the end of the month. But I know she will be very pleased.

Yes we all meet at the blue dinner. I am sorry but the place has a name. Lenzi's Dinner. But the building is bright blue color. So as I have been hanging with these guys, they call it a Blue Dinner. 

This is Roy on the left, Billy, Fred, Danny and Bobby. Now Danny and I are not really brothers to these guys, but why not say we want to be? 

Okay I am a shopper. Thinking wow these are some great deals?

I am sorry but I work at Winn Dixie and see stuff like this and say How can they do this? 

I asked my manger, he said you are right,BUT. 

A couple of weeks ago, Fred got a beautiful retractable screen door.

This is the guy from Lowes installing it. It cost $399.00 plus labor? 

This is the flier for this screen door. Looks really nice. But say over $400.00 for a screen door? 

This one is on Amazon. I saw the video how to put it up. They say there are problems with the hardware some times. 

This one is at Home Dept. $144.00. Reviews, say having some troubles putting trying to put it up. 

As Roy and I were at Home Depot looking for his bathroom vanity. I asked can we go look at the retractable screen doors? We found them and the sales men said no returns that he knows of?  

Okay now this one is $189.00. Looks nice and seems easy to put up? 

Then thinking, do I really need a retractable screen door??? No, get a nice wooden one. 

Now look at the cost? $31.98. BIG SAVINGS. Hey these are the doors we put up at the ALC Camp. One on cabin #3. Then one on my place. They worked just as good and look at the savings???? 

What a great SUPER BOWL GAME.

I am very blessed to be able to call these folks my friends. This is part of Roy's family. These are his brothers.

Yes we pretty much all gave up on England at half time. Thinking this is going to be a blow out. But I am so happy I stayed to watch the full game. If you know me I really am not one to sit around and watch a full game. But I am glad I saw this one. It really was the best game I have ever seen. 

But at the end someone has to won. Which this time it was Tom Brady. I know some folks were for the Falcons. But they are still a young team and they will get their next ring one day. 

Plus they played in two Super Bowls.  

Mr Brady has Five (5) Super Bowl Rings.

I showed this picture before, of Jimmie and Jake. Well this man has a nervous energy. This guy has been retired for many years. As I look out my window pretty much everyday, I see him doing something around the house. Yesterday he was waxing his girl friend's car. 

Where am I going with all this? 

Well Jimmie saw something like this at a flea market during the summer. He was thinking, wow I can make that. So he made one for him and his girl friend, Pat. They are sitting in front of their home. Roy said something like I really like them. So a couple of weeks ago, Jimmie and his Pat made this and brought it over. It really is kinda neat to look at and see all the different work they did to make it so nice. 

Roy and I went up to  flea market during Christmas time. There was a guy selling something like these there, They really were not as nice has Jimmie did. 

Now if I could find my wife, I would have them make one for me!!!!

Finishing up a couple of projects we started a couple of days ago.

Fred and Roy are drilling holes for the wall brackets to hold up the verticals blinds.

The linoleum I put down is peeling up real easily. I don't have to pull hard at all. Plus when you walk on it it slides. 

So prayerfully this wil do the job and stay in place. There is no reason why it will not work? 

It took a little while to get the holes drilled out and the brackets up. But in the end it looks great. 

Finished up by putting up a fan and light. It was a little bit challenging. The problem was the VERY small screws that hold the light in place. Did I tell you how small the screws are to hold the light in place?????? 

Hey used a phillip's head screw driver and glue on the tip. It worked after many tries. 

It sure nice to walk away and say it looks great. EVERYTHING. 

Helping a brother out.

Yes we went over to Freddie's home and did some work. This is Roy's brother. He wants to put a wood frame around the door way. Which was a challenge. The 45 cuts didn't always line up. The saw we were using was one for Harbor Freight. No saying it was bad, but there was like I said challenges. 

We took the toilet out and cleaned the floor really good. The reason is I will be putting down the linoleum over the tile. Later on. 

Meanwhile a guy came over to install a retractable screen door. 

It took him about hour to get to done. It really works good and even look s nice. BUT this door cost $400.00 I thinking no way? But is it nice. Okay when I get home I will do some research.

It sure took us a while to get this door frame up all away around. Both side and in the jams too. But it is up and ready to calk and paint. The calk will cover up the 45 lines we mess up. 

I got to lay the tiles down. Boy they just don't want to stick down. But they are down and we will see what happens. Maybe need to glue them down? 

Well we got the jobs done and boy I am tried. But looks good. I even got some money (good deal) 

We came back the next day to finish up. 

Yes I have heat again.

I have been jerking around with this air conditioner/heater. When I first moved in a was having some trouble with the blower kicking on. I would play with it and it would start working again. Then I would keep it off until I needed and sometimes it would work, but most of the time it didn't. So I would go with out the air during the summer time. no biggie. I even got use to the idea of saving money on the power bill. Hey in Dec my bill was only $30. something. That is a great thing. 

But this last week it has been really chilly around here. You know going down in the 40's So I kept trying different things, it would work. Then some nights not all. I called in a guy that does work in the park here. he came out and it worked for him. Then I called him out again, same problem it works. He only charged me one time fee.

Then I called a guy from our Men's Bible study on Monday nights. He came out and it worked for him. Okay this is crazy. He told me to try replacing the thermostat. It worked for a day or so. Then stopped. I changed out the wire going to the thermostat back the unit A/C. 

Okay enough I took the blower motor out and took to a part house. They would not sell me a motor. But they did some research an found out my motor is covered bu the warranty. 

Okay you can see the guy above replacing it. It works. 

Now last night it got down in the 30's praise God I have heat again. It ran all night long with no heck ups. Thank you Lord. .
