Got all loaded up with our tings. You know tackle and poles. Plus drinks and even a couple of subs from Publix's. Okay all set, need some ice now. Pulled into the bait shop, we always use. Got two bags of ice. Started out the driveway and heard a medal rubbing sound. Okay maybe when we climbed into the boat pushed the fender down a little more and rubbing the tire?
I WISH THAT WAS THE PROBLEM.
NOT, there are three springs broken on the trailer. Now WHAT?
We called a trailer guy, right down the street (Meltra Trailers) I sent him some pictures, thinking, can we still drive?
He told us just take your time and it should be okay!!!!
We made it there. He will not have time to look at it until Monday morning. I guess this boat ride is not going to happen?
Okay so Thursday, all day I worked on fixing this one up. Just needs some small things replaced. So on Friday we took it to the Marine Connection, on US 1, here is Fort Pierce. Got there and bought a replacement electric bilge pump. plus a couple of other tings.
Drove over Stan Blum Boat Ramp. There is a place to wash the boat. We need to make sure the motor is running good. It will start but it dies out. The reason the wash area, is you put on mouse ears on the intake of the motor to keep it cooled down. But it just would not stay running. Okay now what???
Drove over the guy (Mark) that worked on it last year. He tuned it up and it ran pretty good. He and his helper looked at it and found out the carburetors are gunned up. What could have happen was, we left fuel in the motor after running it last year. This way the carburetors get a film on the inside of them and will not stay running.
Okay Mark told us he can work on it next week. We dropped the trailer and boat there.
I am sorry to say, no boat ride this week-end.
I guess next week is our time to go out?
Hey, by God's grace we made it to the trailer place. We had enough common sense to test the motor before we rode out and got stuck out there in the ocean????
Hey He is always by our side, all we need to do it trust HIM more everyday.
Today is a great day to go praise HIM.
