Okay, Jeanne and I had to get to the St. Lucie County Fair. On Monday- Free Admission, Tuesday and Thursday is $2.00 Admission. Othe days during the fair is like $15.00 to get in. So, Thursday evening, we decided to go.
While walking in Jeanne and I saw this young man sitting on the bench. He is real and loves scaring folks. It really was neat how he looks, and I know he will be acting during the evening here. You know someone sits next to him and he doesn't move a bit. Then will cause you to jump, when he does,
I remember him from last year or few year before.
While walking around we talked about getting this to eat and that?
My little girl saw the Roasted Corn and said I want one of them. No problem, we shared, and it really was very tasty and just think for $5.00.
There was food everywhere. So, what should we have for dinner. The corn was a warmup.
I think they do this every year, making snow. It's really soap bubbles.
Okay here is where we volunteer during the fair. (I think it was like 4 years) This year Jeanne's hip has been hurting, and she told the over seers, we will not be helping out this year. Jeanne usually does the grilling, and I help out at the drink booth. Which both jobs are kind of fun to do. But not this year. Hey, their food is always great. Jeanne ordered a steak dinner, and I got Italian Sausage with the works. the prices are not bad at all. While walking around I talked about getting a sausage sandwich (myself). So, the folks selling them was charging $12.00. Here it only cost $9.00.
You can never go wrong eating at the FFA Food Booth.
Okay it's time for the cattle judging. Jeanne has a nephew and niece and have cows to be judged and afterwards they will sell them to the highest bedder, afterwards. As the temperature was dropping, we both were getting colder. The time was winding down. I wore a hoodie, but my little girl told as we were leaving the car, she will be okay.
We had one more stop. Jeanne loves checking out the Quilts that are on display. This is the arts and crafts building. So, we walked around here and there was one more stop, the Saint Lucie School displays. I didn't take any picture there. I was ready to go home and take my shower and hit that bed.
Yes, we left there and headed home. It really was kind of neat to just walk around and see the sites and just enjoy our time together.
Well, yesterday morning (Saturday) Jeanne and I went to Calvary Chapel Vero Beach. We signed up for (DTS) The Disciple Training School. We got there and Pastor Pete opened us up with prayer and another gentleman (Matt) did the devotion on forgiving. Afterwards, Pete opened up with a video, Pastor Sandy, this teaching was on How We All Can Get Burnt Out. It was a video at a pastor conference. Folks we all can get so wrapped up doing ministry and forget family and others and just focus on that alone.
Looking back in my life, I was a missionary for 9 years in The Bahamas. Hey, we are going back there in a little while. Not to do ministry but to just hang out and chill.
Getting back to being burnt out, I got there, and it was no fun at all, I was questioning God Why am I getting upset so much faster than normally? It was turning into a job. I over saw the maintenance. Which that meant everything that was mechanical was my response able. It was getting to me and our overseer Pastor Chet. We sat down and talked and after me coming back to the states for two weeks. I went back and talked with him and thinking I was pretty much done helping out. So, I came back in 2014 and got my old job back at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale. I worked there another 2 years and retired. Moved up to Fort Peice and being loving life again. I went back to the Bahamas a few times afterwards to help out and asked to forgiveness, if I did something wrong to you.
It just comes down to, we all need to be encouraged and prayed for. Looking back, I don't have any regrets and for being there for 9 years, at all. I did love what I did and whoever came to help us out, I tried very hard to encourage them too.
My biggest problem was I was very pride. I don't need any help. I got it, NOW. We all need help.
Please if this is any encouragement, SEEK GOD HELP and IF YOU NNED HELP, ASK SOMEONE.
But folks we all need help one time or another.
I didn't like getting BIRNT OUT. It no fun and you think God must be done with me.
HE'S HAS SO MUCH MORE FOR YOU.
