Back in December 26th, we started shopping for a NEW CAR.

One of Jeanne's nieces (Shaughnessy) bought a car up in Melbourne, Florda. I think she was shopping on line and found one she wanted and came up and bought it. It was a 2025 Kia Telluride. So, after Jeanne saw her car, she was telling me how she would love to get one too. So, we drove up here and started looking around, a salesman came out and he was with us all the time, trying this car and that car. I am sorry but I really don't remember how many cars Jeanne drove. 

Like I said Jeanne drove a few cars. If I remember right. She found a 2025 Green Kia Telluride, and it had black interior. I think she saw a Geen and Tan interior on a car here, I think is might have been this one? But you can see it's a 2023. She really wanted a 2025. Now like I said earlier, this was back in Dec. 2024. It really is funny how I put in my phone how I found these pictures; it just popped up and here it is. (I thank you Lord) he is so good to me. 

Okay back to the story, Jeanne and I went in and sat down at one of the desks inside. The salesman was telling us all about the2025 Kia Telluride, saying that maybe they can find the one Jeanne wants. Now you can understand, this is Jeanne's car. So, I just sat there and listened. The sales manager came out and sat with us, He found one in Tampa (I think) telling us he can get this one and showed us everything it came with and then showed us the price. $59,000.+. We both looked and I looked at Jeanne and said, I don't think we are even close in this deal???? Then Sales Manger said, well, how much were you thinking? I told him $45,000.??? Then, no even 5 seconds went by, How's $48.000.??? I looked at him and was furious, Jeanne looked at me and told me to take a walk. Folks I was soooooo MAD. How can you say $59,000. Then 5 seconds later drop it is $48,000.???? Does that mean he was going to charge us $59,000. and keep $11,000. How can that BEEEE? I walked out and walked around and came back in and asked him, HOW CAN YOU SAY $59,000. then say $48,000.?  That is $11,000. difference??? That to me is crazy. What a make up???  Boy just writing this now, upsets me. 

Okay, I came back in and Jeanne asked them to have is delivered to this dealership and we will be back. 

I asked, would you like a deposit? I gave him $100.00. Okay now the story is all downhill. The manger told Jeanne the car would be there the next day, he called and told her the car was sold it, that day. So, he told her he would look and find one for her. Well, just to go to the end of the story, he gave her a run around and we talked and I told her, what I thought, he is just trying to stale. I told her to ask for her deposit back. He Zelle the money back to her. Which he did. I still upset about the $11,000. 

Praise the Lord, He is working on me. 

Okay now back to the story. 

You can the see the transmission is still leaking. Now this is kind of crazy, this Kia doesn't have a dip stick to check the transmission fluid. The only way to know how much fluid you have in there, you need to put it on a lift and physically take the plug out and look. So, we have this guy Damen, (Cason Garage) He has drained the transmission and refilled it and it worked for a while and broke down a couple weeks ago. I wrote about it in my blog. 

On August 16th. After many places and people talking about buying a car. 

I think we went to Sunrise Ford, Fort Pierce, Walace Hyundai, Then the next day we went up to Vero Beach and went Vero Beach Kia, Toyota. Jeanne drove three or four cars. She really liked the Sana Fe. You can see the different in prices and the guys we talked to really tried to show her whatever she wanted. Plus, the last place we were at, the salesman came out to our car and told us they dropped the price, if we buy today? The sad part is every salesperson we talked to was very desperate to sell us a car. So, now Jeanne and I talked about the pricing. I know her nephew Joseph, Joe work at Mullinax Ford. They show you the best price right online. Shows the MSRP, then their price. Folks there is so much garbage about pricing in these cars, trucks and whatever you buy for thousands. There is to many people out there that are so money hungry for profit. 

There are so many greedy people in sales. It really is sad, I just don't trust salesman. The funny part I use to sell cars in 1976. I was a Used Car salesmen at Judge's Ford, it in Rochester, New York. I only sold cars for 4 months. the reason is it's a Union Shop. I have no problem with unions. I needed to sell 32 cars in those four months. That is 8 cars a month. At the end of 120 days probation. I sold 29 cars and very proud I sold that many. So, after my 120 days I was looking for another job. I think I went to work at Gold Circle Department Store.  

Walked in and talked with Joe and he was explaining about different cars and what you can get. After hour or so, he brought us to one of the salespersons. That is where we met Shantill. Very friendly and you see how helpful she was after the deal went thru. 

This is right after she handed the keys to her and told us this is Her's. 

Well folks my baby made a decision She wanted this, and she has it. It sure is beautiful. It's huge too. Just sitting in. It has every bell and whistles you can get. Our saleswoman (Shantill) was so nice, willing to drive whatever car Jeanne wanted. I think at one time, she was carrying like 4 sets of keys with her. 

Okay the story has a twist.  

Yes, we went back the next day, carrying the paperwork and whatever else we got from the Shantill. She looked at her and ask is everything okay??? 

Not really, she loves the Explorer, BUT she was always driving with people, like me and Shantill. Jeanne really never thought about how BIG this car was. She has been a driving her Kia Sorento. It is little smaller than this Explorer. 

We talked with Joe and told him the story too. So, our shopping is to start again. Jeanne drove a 2024 Ford Edge. She really didn't like how the engine sounded; it is a 3 cylinder. Then she drove a 2025 Ranger. Didn't like getting into it. Too high. Then drove a 2025 Bronce Badlands 2.0 122 cubic inches. She really like it and drove it around the block. Then Jeanne asked about the smaller engine in the Bronce. So we went to two different cars in the lot, both of them were on empty. Plus, they close at 7pm. Shantill went in and got the gas card and she put a few gallons in the car Jeanne drove so she could drive around the block. We got back and they were closing for the evening, Shantill walked us out to the Explore and asked what do you think? Jeanne told her that we would be back the next day and let her know. Oh, Shantill asked PLEASE come before 5:00 pm.  

Yes, we got back here around 3pm. Shantill was very happy to see us and we sat with her and worked out the paperwork. Then went over to see Joe and he made up the contracts and loan and got is all straighten out. My little girl bought the 2025 Bronce Badlands. It really is shape looking and I really am happy she loves it. Closed the deal and everyone is happy. I know Jeanne is Very Happy. 

Now Jeanne and I were talking about pulling their leg. Both Joe and Shantill. We went to Giorgio's N.Y. Pizzaria, in Vero Beach. Joe was telling us about how he loves this place and we need to try it out. Then we went to Green Marlin Restaurant in Vero Beach. While talking with Shantill I was saying where would you like for us to go for lunch? She told me Green Marlin. 

We both walked in with the folder for the Bronce. Trying to like to scare these two below. 

Jeanne handed them both a card with a gift card in them. That brought them both a big smile and we all laughed. You know me by now; I love taking pictures and sharing them. 

We said our goodbyes and started walking out of the dealership and I thought why not take some more pictures. 

Now if I was 20 years younger, this is what I would love to own. But I would have all kinds of trouble just getting into the car and OUT. She is beautiful. 

Okay I first test with the back seats. When we were looking for a car, the back seats were very much in play. Jeanne and I go shopping ad least once or twice a month at Sam's Club, for event and other things we use at the school for feeding the teachers and staff. Hey if you have been looking at my blog for anytime now. You can see the different things Jeanne loves to do. 

The boxes somewhat fit. But the real test is buying and putting everything in here and just to see what happens. 

Wella it works great and we are both very happy to see this is going to work great. 

We needed to make one more stop, Aldi's. Just looking at it at nighttime it really is a shape looking vehicle. 

I know I have been rambling on and on. But Jeanne and I are very happy and just love driving it. The funny thing is there are many things to learn about the car itself. We are both learning together. 

I praise my Lord Jesus Christ for letting Jeanne get what she wants. 

Folks just seek Him and He will give you your heart's desire. Psalm 37:4. 

I stopped over to Dan's house, I got his lawn furniture all cleaned up.

You can see how bad his furniture looks. Hey, I repaired his deck about four months ago. 

So, I stained his deck this last week. Now his family is coming to town, and I thought it would be nice to make the deck and all the furniture to look it's best. 

You can see here how dirty the chairs are and how much mildew is on here. 

I got my cleaner (Home Armor Multiple Surface Cleaner.) This is what I use on every house, I clean.  Plus, anything I need to get the mildew off at home. 

I have been using this for many years. Think (9 years) 

It works great and doesn't hurt the plants of shrubs. I finished them up and headed over to another job I will be doing this next week. 

I weeded our back flower bed on Sunday afternoon. Crazy. I walked away knowing I accomplished a task I use to real hate doing. 

Folks These last couple of days I have been thinking about how my Lord Jesus Christ has been helping me be able to keep working and just really look forward in doing more things. Just like this weeding at our home. I used to hate to weed. But since I did that weeding job last week I really kind of enjoy doing it. 

I can't explain it, but I know it is from Him above, He wants me to enjoy doing things for us and others. 

So, all I can say is ask Him and he will give you what you want. 

It talks about this in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 12:4 to 11

 Thess are the gifts of the Spirt. 4) Now there are different KINDS OF SPIRIT GIFTS, but it is the same Holy Spirit who is the source of them all. 5) There are different kinds of service in the church, but it is the same Lord we are serving, 6) There are different ways God who does the work through all of us. 7) A Spiritual Gift is given to each of us as a means of helping the entire church. 8 to 11 tells you the gifts.

I will number them, but there is no order of service. 

1) Knowledge, 2) Faith, 3) Healing, 4) Preforming Miracles, 5) Prophesy, 6) Interpret. Now these the gifts the Bible talks about there are many more. When I first became a Christain, I took a couple of Spiritual Gift Tests. 

Here are the different Gifts the test talks about. 

Administration, Apostleship, Craftsmanship, Discernment, Evangelism, Exhortation, Faith, Giving, Healing, Helps, Hospitality. Intercession, Knowledge, Leadership, Mercy, Miracles, Missionary, Music/Workship, Pastor, Prophecy, Service, Teaching, Tongues/Interpretation and Wisdom. 

So, there are many gifts gives out and all we need to do is seek His face and just listen and maybe God will use others to tell you. Please call on Jesus Christ and He is right next to you. 

I am so blessed and just want others to be blessed too. 

 

 

Okay I am back at Dan's Deck.

Well, today is Thursday Aug. 21st I will start staining this deck and railings. I hope to get half to 2/3 done today. The reason is thunderstorms are on their way plus Dan's has some heavy furniture and I will just stain this half and wait a day and move the furniture over to this side.  

Okay this side looks great, and I will be back tomorrow to finish this job. 

It took a little while to finish but at the end it is looking fantastic, and Dan loves it. 

Now all I need to do is come back today and clean up the rest of the lawn furniture and put it where he wants it. 

This morning, I was reading in Psalms 93 to 96. Thru out the Psalms God is showing us each and every day, how much He loves us and wants us to trust Him and lean on Him for whatever we need. 

My prayer for today is SEEK HIS FACE; HE LOVES US, EVEN YOU.
