This is Wayne. The sad part is that his wife passed away a week ago. So, Wayne is pretty much lost. They were married for 67 years. Wow, that is amazing. I have known them for over 10 years+ I have been doing handyman stuff for them. Lynn, was very frail. You can see Wayne is pretty much living in a wheelchair. So, after Lynn's passing, I would stop by and see how he is doing. He just would sit there and watch CNN NEWS. Which is the worst thing to ever watch. Very depressing and no hope. They are always telling their viewers the end is near. So, as Wayne and I would sit there, I would not say much to him. I let him speak. But I know this would be a sad ending. he was telling me how Lynn would do everything for him, and he didn't know anything that was going on. Meanwhile, Wayne did tell me that his son and granddaughter was coming down from Vermont. They came in on Monday July 28th. Keith and Shara were here and Jeanne and I stopped by to meet his son and granddaughter. Plus asked a lot of questions. Well, Wayne was sitting in the kitchen, and Presley was on his lap. Wayne called me over and told me, can I take Presley back to our home and keep him? I looked at Jeanne and she said sure. Well, now what happens? Wayne told me that if someone would give him $5,000. for his house he would be very happy to pretty much give away his house. I told Keith and him let Jeanne, and I talk about it. Meanwhile, Keith was just trying to get things (somewhat) in order. They will be flying back to Vermont, the next day. So, they packed up somethings and we said our goodbyes. Took Presley home and he is still living with us. They all made it back home in Vermont and Wayne is settling in okay.
Meanwhile Jeanne and I talked a lot about what we need to do next about the house.
Now Presley is settling in too. Meanwhile I put up boards and cement blocks to fill in small holes at the gates. I think I did the 1/4 door skins on Thursday Aug 7th.
All I did was cut boards to go across the bottoms of the gates and wire tie them in place.
Ad least now I feel a little more secure about Presley not being able to dig his way out. I just know how fast cars driving down my road here and he would be killed instantly. I have been at Wayne's house when Presley got out of the gated carport. It took Lynn many times to get him to come back in her arms. He has tried to escape two or three times out our front door. So, I feel better I can leave him in the back yard and ad least know he will not escape.
Now back to Wayne's house. Jeanne and I have been there a few times. Just seeing different things, we can use. I will write more on this the next time I do my blog.
Folks If you have been reading my blog for anytime now, by seeing how fast Lynn passed away, she was sleep in her chair on Thursday July 24th. Wayne went over to wake her, and she was gone.
We never know what time or day we will be meeting our Savor. My prayer for everyone out here,
