My time is flying by, it is Monday already

These are three of our young ladies that are helping here at the ALC. I will not try to tell you their names, I always into trouble when I do tings like that.

I do know this guy's name, he is Patrick. He has come over here to helps us with maintenance and pretty much every thing we have. It really is neat to see our Lord, how he works things out. Patrick was here on a mission's trip in April of this year. As he was helping build the porch on the second cottage we have at the ALC Camp. During his time here, he was working along side 8 other guys. They are all from the New York State area. I think just below Albury (Capitol)
So as Patrick and his wife have been praying about what is next in their lives? They saw in a news letter or a blog, That I was retiring. So as it is Patrick just got laid off at the job he was working at. Him and his wife just keep seeking God for the answers. So they put their lives on hold. Now Patrick will be here for the next two months. Then during the new year his wife will be moving over here then. So as my time here is working out so well, God knew he was coming and this way, I might be able help Patrick with some tings here at the ALC. You know show him around and just let him feel welcome.

That right, you are seeing my son Kevin painting. He needed to prime the new lumber and then he painted it with the gloss white. My prayer is that this gazebo looks as good as it did the day Randy Grebe put it up, (1996 or around then)
Today Tim Ryan will be coming over to put the singles on. Not sure what else will happen today? Sean and his guys dug up a broken pipe yesterday. That is a 2" needs repair? Then I look at the bridge, I really think for now to, run a board under the walk way, support the old lumber. Replace the broken board. That way the kids can use it until Patrick and Bob rebuild it all. Then for the last couple of weeks, there has been a air conditioner not working. The guys came out from Paul.s Air. Replace the fan and motor, need to put the cover and boards back up there too. So there is plenty of work to do today. Main ting is the roof.
If Kevin and I work on the pipe and bridge? Then Patrick and Tim on the roof? We will see what happens.

Yes it is Sunday, what should we do today?

This is our Sunday School class. If you look at last week, there were many more people. The sad reason is, last week-end, Brian was teaching. So I guess the folks that came last week, thinking, he will not be there, why should I. But Greg did a wonderful job. He was trying to get us to think about tings. I enjoyed it and walked away with another view.

After church Monty asked if we could meet at Star Bucks? Sure. So Kevin and I drove out towards Cable Beach, Star Bucks, that is the area where Monty lives, he had a very busy day ahead. So I thought why not meet out his way. It was a nice ride out that way. You can see how Baha Mar is coming along. I was talking with a old friend at Calvary that morning about this place. It is hard to see, but this sign above is saying in Dec 2014 they will be open for business. Well Shelly was telling me they are now looking towards June of next year, maybe?

This is Mr Monty. As I have been part of Calvary Bible here, he has been the one, I tell him about my problems. He really is a good sounding board. Plus we have done many project together at his home too. Like I said above, he has a full schedule. Him and his wife have two little ones, plus he has been taking classes for his job too. It is about the VAT tax I have told you about. It will be taking effect this next January 2015. After our time. We left and headed back towards down town. So on the way, took a lot more pictures the other way. The reason I take so many pictures, I know the next time I will be back, this will be all different. You know changes are happening around this area every day.

This is the end of the tour around Cable Beach area. Now going along Bay Street heading west.

This is Oh Andro's restaurant. Hey Tim Ryan told me about this place many years ago. The best food plus prices are great too. One ting if you plan on going here, No Credit Cards, cash only.

You can see how excited Kevin is? He just love when I take his picture. NOT.
Well the day wound down and we pretty much sat around did nothing the rest of  the day, lazy time.

Well what happen Saturday?

If you read my blog yesterday, I was telling you all about the movie the Maze Runner. Well see for yourself, what the paper has to say about the movie.
Oh plus I just love the Vex area too. This is where Bahamians have a chance to voice their own words about what they think of , pretty much any thing that is going on.

I was driving down East Street and saw this sign being built, wow I hope the sign is in better shape than the wood frame to build it?

This is heading towards the ocean, Fox Hill area. Going to pick Kevin at the dock. Remember I told you yesterday, he was going to Rose Island, The Wave , our youth at Calvary Bible does this every year. It is a time to have some fun and try to get the kids back into coming out to join the youth again for the school year.

This Mr. Linsey Pinder, He has been part of the youth for many years. His son use to be the Youth Pastor. I just love this guy and how he loves the kids. They will do other things this school year with them, like pool parties at their home. There are other event they take place, they are part of. Oh the sleep over at ALC Camp, they do the cooking for them.

This is only part of the students that went. I think some one said about 40 kids were there.

Okay we had a chance, after I picked up Kevin to send a evening with some old friends again, This is Billy Slaters family and Tim Ryan's family and home. We had a wonderful time, had pizza and dessert, plus watched a little collage football. Then the main evening was to watch a movie. It was Beethoven. I have seen this movie two or three times, every time it still a great movie. Left there and went home and slept so good, Just sleeping with air. Just run it two hours, but last night turned it back on for another hour around 2:30am. I am very blessed to have wonderful friends and hanging out. This a lone is worth my trip here. I know helping at the ALC is a blessing too, but in the end family is so much more.

On Saturday we flew back home. Sept. 5thn 2026

Okay I got up early and took a drive. I went to Dunkin Donuts for 6 donuts and a couple of coffees. Oh, I got a couple of items for Billy. B...
