We were staying at The Clarion Point. This hotel is only rated with 1 star. But Jeanne went a little deeper on the reviews. They were getting 3 to 4 stars on the reviews. So why not give the a shot?
Plus The Hamilton and Hilton were fully booked for this week-end. We heard that there was a Film Festival going in Savannah, G.A.
Well we were not disappointed at all. The room were clean and some what up to date. Plus the prices were a little lower than the others. So I would rate them a 4 star. Over all the lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. It was a such a nice place we booked the room for the next night.
Nice breakfast too. At no cost.
Well our plan to get up here were two fold.
1) to see our old friend Laura, and hang out a little.
2) Wanting to see the leaves change.
This is Laura's Mexican restaurant. We stopped in to see Laura, but she was doing a deliver with something else. She works with a trucking company that delivers restaurant supplies and produce. So some days she has her hands full doing that too. Over all her restaurant is doing well and she has some good help there, so she can venture out and have another avenue to add to her funds.
So Laura was not there, so we called her and we will be getting together on Sunday afternoon. Meeting for lunch at a restaurant Jeanne really does enjoy their food and the surroundings and atmosphere.
You will see soon.
So we asked about farmer markets in the area.
Started driving down the road and it was right where she told us it would be.
Okay we are here and Jeanne is looking for some pumpkins and other items for her classroom.
Halloween was around the corner. Plus Thanksgiving.
She found some sweet potatoes and I think something else, not sure at this tie what?
Okay need to get on the road and heading north for some leaves to see.
my little girl being a little girl she likes acting up.
As we were at the farmer's market, Jeanne asked about a good place for a home made meal?
So we drove about 20 miles and found Lazard's Thicket.
It was just like the lady told us, a Mom and Pop dinner.
The food was pretty good, but they gave us why to much to eat. so we had a some food to go.
Okay now we are on our way north.
I will be sharing more pictures of this trip down the road.
I am still asking for prayers for my buddy Tim Ryan. He is still out out of the woods yet. Breathing on a ventilator (day 16)
Up"date" on Tim
(Day 16 ventilator)
Overnight Tim was stable, same stats as he had been on yesterday 60 vent, 12 peep, resulting in low 90's oxygen saturation. They were not able to adjust the ventilator lower overnight.
Our "date" today:
He was resting on his back, same stat and settings. Unfortunately today he had a fever again and they found he has a fungal yeast infection along with the bacterial pneumonia.
Today when our kids each talked to him on the phone, he opened his eyes for the whole time like he was looking for them!
PRAY
- that the medications for all of the infections will take affect and begin to clear.
- that he remains calm and stable so they can decease the ventilator overnight.
- continued protection over all his organs.
Verse of the day: Psalm 130:5-6 ~ “I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.”
We need your prayers. PLEASE.
