My little girl wants a small air conditioner. (5000 BTU). Okay I started out buying #14 wire. I put it in the 1/2" conduit. I had to push it in by hand. I just did 10" pieces at a time.
I was texting my friend Don. I was telling him the project I am into now. He always takes an interest in all the fun I get to do. Well, he was asking me about the size of wire I was using. I explained it to him. Thinking, I really need a heavier wire. I pulled the #14/2 out of the pipe. Then thought it has on its burial wire. That means I don't need to put it in the PVC pipe. So, thinking down the road, Jeanne always wanted some lights to put up in the back yard. On the patio. Okay enough on that.
So back to Home Depot and bought 250 feet of 12/2 burial wire too. Now I am putting
PVC pipe to the electric main box.
I know this is for wiring code. So now I have two pieces of PVC pipe coming out of my main electrical box.
Now I did run the 12/2 in the PVC going under the new shed and up to the shed I am wiring.
The reason is twofold. One this way the animals that live under these building will not eat the wire.
You know rabbits, snakes and maybe even a something else.
Plus, just making sure no problems down the road.
On Sunday morning my baby was taking a shower, and this black snake was sunbathing on her windowsill where the shower is.
It was a big job digging along the fence line and burying the wire there.
I ran PVC 1/2" up and into the shed and then ran it along the ceiling area.
I know I will have to clean this up before I am done here. I just wanted to make sure it works.
Okay we have power. Thank you, Jesus. Folks I have been texting my buddy during every day I worked on this. I have been sending him pictures too. He keeps telling me something about running a 10-amp circuit breaker. Hey, I kept checking for anything getting hot or even warm. All seems good. Okay now he is scaring me.
Just now figured out what he was talking about. he was looking at TCL 5000 BTU unit and mine is a Toshiba RAC-WK0512CMRU (5000).
There is nothing in there about using a 10-amp circuit breaker. So prayerfully all is good.
He keeps texting me stuff and now I need to check how many amps is this unit pulling?
Meanwhile I got the box all cleaned up and looks great.
Okay I ran to Harbor Freight and bought a clamp style to read amps. Only cost $12.98.
I wrapped the clamp around the black wire at the outlet is. This is only running the air conditioner.
The air conditioner is running, and I turned on the light above to see how much amperage changes.
I was kind of surprised how low the amperage is. 3.52 amps.
This morning, I went out there to check on it and make sure all is well.
Well, I started this project on Sept. 4th (Wednesday)
Worked about 5 hours each day after that. Today is Sept 10th
Folks my little girl is very happy, and we will be moving some of the things that she wants the air for.
Overall, I know my Lord was part of this project each and every day.
Whenever I start a new project, I get like worried about doing it. Thinking what can go wrong?
My Father is listening, and He is always right there where I am.
We all need to call on Him for anything that we might be dealing with.
I was reading this morning in 1Corinthians Chapters 11-12. in 12 talks about Spirituals Gifts.
As Christians we all have gifts of the Spirit. Verse 8 To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice: to another He gives the gift of special knowledge.
I am not trying to say anything. It just good to ask others what they think?
