Hey folks Happy Thanksgiving Day, But i did this job the week before. Nov. 18th

Okay, Don the one that owns this house was trying to do the repairs himself and asked for what I thought. he was just trying to support the weak spots. He went out and bought four pieces of 2'x2'x3/8"
He screwed in two pieces along the bathtub. Thinking this will work. But as I walked around the flood had a couple of more soft spots. I talked him into, putting a full sheet of 3/8" plywood and then put the carpet over it and all will be better.
So, I bought a full sheet of 3/8" and ran it all the way down to the pieces he put in already. The reason is he used Liquid Nail on the board and there is no way to pick them back up. Oh, plus I told him I would have taken the toilet out and then put the flooding under it. But I worked around all he wanted and it worked out. Now this is the hard part. I need to make sure the lumber goes around the toilet.

I can tell you this, this part of the flooding was a hardness part. I needed to keep going outside and back and forth to make sure it fitted properly.

I asked don to come and check it out. He told me great. Now we can put the carpet over the plywood. I laid out on the driveway and flipped it over and measured three different times to make sure I am cutting the correct places. I cut the pieces out and brought it back to the bathroom and Don helped me lay it out and make sure all is well.

I did have to do a little more cutting but it all looked great afterwards.

I used staples to nail the carpet down. I did go buy a piece of 1/2" round to put in front of the bathtub.
His wife Kim loved it, and everyone was happy.
I look forward to this day. Thanksgiving.
The reason is I had many great memories when I was very young, Spending time with my grandma and grandpa's. They lived in Bradford, Pennsylvania. My mom and dad and I would drive for three hours to go see them. the route we took, I remember went by Attica Prison. Plus, we always stopped at an ice cream stand on the way. My dad always got Peacan Cream ice cream cone. I think I liked Pistachio.
I remember the smell getting close to Bradford, it stunk. Bradford was an oil refinery. Then getting closer you could see all the factories and stacks everywhere.
Oh, one more memory, I would ask my dad are we there yet?
I do have one CD that has a lot of my dad's movies on it. Not sure when but I remember taking them to a store and asking them to put the movies on a Video Tape. Then, while I was working at Calvary Chapel, I asked Mark, in the bookstore/recording studio. to take the video tape and put it on a C.D.
Which he did and I thank my Lord each time I watch it for saving this CD.
Well, I am sorry I have gone down a rabbit trail, but on this CD there a seen of our Thanksgiving Dinner. My great grandmother and my grandparents, (Hattie and Ted Milligan) my mom (Ellen/ Dottie) and I (maybe 7 years old). There is one seen of my grandpa (Ted) playing like he was drunk. He was trying to put the dishes away in the kitchen cupboards. He put a beer bottle in there too. My dad (Carl) was the one taking all these movies then. he videoed me laughing and jumping up and down while my grandpa was playing.
What great memories and thoughts. This is what spending time thanking Our Lord for all we have and memories.
Folks please if can't spend time with family this day. Please ad least give them a call or even a text.
HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING AND ENJOY YOURSELF.
I LOVE YOU ALL.
