As Jeanne was setting up our trip, with the help of Krista (daughter in law). Jeanne was told to buy parking ticket. So, she ended up buying the Valet parking. Which worked out okay. Just pulling up front of the ship and unload and someone else parks the car. I think it cost $80.00 for parking.
Hey we made it here and getting ready to board a ship.
We walked on board and was greeted with a hello and welcome.
This is the elevator we pretty much used to get up and down to different decks. There are 10 of them. Our cabin was on #7. Room was #7253.
This is the Flip Flop Atrium, not sure what this word means? I just looked it up, it means an open, sky-lit court usually located at the center of the building and often surrounded by multiple stores. Yes, you are pretty much in the middle of the ship here. I think this was deck #9.
We went to our room to check it out. Great behind that curtain is our balcony.
Wow, what a great room. Not small but just right for two people. Really well done.
Now we went up to Deck #10, to meet our friends, at the Adult Pool and Bar.
These are the hallways. of our floor. After being on the ship for a while. We would use other elevators and get lost winding around the halls to find our room. So, we decided to try to just use the elevator in the middle of the ship after a few getting lost.
This is the Adult Bar. We meet our friends and then had to go and have a Fire drill (like). To find of lifeboats and listen to Orlando (Entertaiment Director). About how to get to the lifeboats and what to do. I look back now I was listening but not really. The reason we were standing next to a younger family and the one son's mouth was very upsetting. I told him to quiet down and there are children around us. The mother told him to behave.
Somedays I hear kids talking like they are grow ups and it just hits me wrong. I try to keep my mouth from speaking those obscenities.
Well, we made it thru the safe drill.
I guess we went back to our room and tried to see what is happening today.
Meanwhile our ship was pulling out to sea.
My baby wanted to lay out in one of the pools and just relax.
I kep walking aorund and seeing different decks and views.
It is about time for us to go under the Skyline Bridge and head out to sea, on our way to Cozumel, Mexico.
I was told its good luck to kiss under the bridge and you will have a safe trip if you do.
This is Les, Krista (daughter in law) and Judy. They are to ones that told us about this cruise and saved us many dollars too.
We walked around after Jeanne had a shower and going to get some dinner.
I pretty much ate salads and some meat. Jeanne bought me a drink package, (soft pop drinks), it cost $49.00 to have as many soft drinks as you would like. Well after getting on the ship, I found out you can have all the lemon aid and tea you want for free. So, we canceled the soft pop package. I am so happy I brought along the Stanley Cup. I used it for my ice coffee and lemon aid each day and evening.
This was from our balcony. WOW, it was so beautiful, and the water was so calm and flat. Folks I only felt the rocking every once and while.
Now there was another drink package, (beer, fancy and hard drinks) That package cost $350.Now I guess if you are a drinker, this is the way to go. I know a few of our friends got that package. So, it was spoken over the loudspeaker, it's 5 o'clock somewhere. This was our first evening on the ship.
I am not sure where this was, but I am glad I took a picture when we were there.
Folks I think Jeanne paid $400. plus. for both of us. It was fantastic time, and the food was pretty good too. I would tell everyone out here, to try it and I believe you will enjoy your time.
I know we are talking about next trip we can go on.
Today I have started reading Job, yes JOB. The first chapter is Job feared God and stayed away from evil. He had seven (7) sons and three (3) daughters. He owned thousands sheep, camels, oxen, donkeys and many employed many servants. He was in fact, the richest person in that entire area. As life came and went he would pray for his family and give sacrifice for each and every one of them. in verse 6 one day the angles came to the present themselves before the Lord and Satan the Accuser came with them, (7) Where have you come from? the Lord asked Satan, And Satan answered the Lord, I have been going back and forth across the earth, watching everything that's going on. (8) Then the Lord asked Satan, Have you noticed my servant Job? he is the finest man in all earth - a man of complete integrity, He fears God and will have nothing to do with evil. Satan replied to the Lord, Yes, Job fears God, but not without good reason! (10) You have always protected him and his home and his property form harm. You have made him prosperous in everything he does. Lokk how rich he is! (11) But take away everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face. (12) All right, you may test, the Lord said to Satan, do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don't harm him physically, Do Satan left the Lord's presence.
So, folks the enemy is out there, BUT he has to ask God before he can do anything.
We all have battles to fight, BUT REMEMBER HE IS RIGHT ALONG SIDE OF YOU.
If you think you are going thru a lot of stuff, please just take the time and read the next few chapters of Job. You will be praising God for the little things you are dealing with.
I am so blessed and thanking God for all He is in my life and my wife's.
