Here I was just trying to save a buck. Spent many hours repairing. NOT WORTH IT.

This is my little truck, I have had this for about 4 years now. It is a 1998. Ford Ranger. These are a couple of pictures when I waxed it lasted.
Okay the short story. While we were having the boat worked on, there was a LOT of old gas tank in the bottom of the boat. Plus we had tanks on top of the boat. Those were two -24-gallon tank for the motor. Then in our back yard we had been storing gas in tanks for a while, these were our back up when we would go out in the boat. Buy gas at lowest price and store them under our shed.
Okay Now what do I do with this old gas????
I went down to the land fill with 20 gallons to get rite of. So on my way there, I pulled over on the side of the road and told myself, WHY waste it all. Put 5 gallons in the truck and after I drop the gas off, go fill up the truck with the rest with good gas from Cumberland Farms.
Sound good to ME. Why NOT??? Oh to drop ff the gas, it was free up to 15 gallons.
Filled up the truck and left the gas station and the truck ran okay. But the next morning not to good. I would drive a little while and would start bucking and even more. I drove back home and cried out WHY?
Okay now I just put 5 gallons of junk in her. Filled her 14 gallons of good gas. Say I spent $48.86 on new gas.
Okay NOW WHAT?
I started by pulling the fuel filter off.

I bought two filters. Costing $17.00 each.  Knowing I will run one for a while and then change it out. It will be filled with the dirty gas.

You can see where the filter is, not the easiest place to pull it off. I pulled the fuse out that runs the fuel pump. Trying the drain the line out, before I pull the filter off. I still got gas running down my arm and into the arm pit. Not that easy??? Okay now I put a bucket under it and put the fuse back in and ran the pump, trying to get it to siphon the gas out. I did buy two items to try to siphon the gas. Both of them didn't work.

Okay I did this for a couple of days, trying not to make a mess.
Got it drained out and went down and bought 5 gallons of Premium gas. ($4.01 pre gal) Here is another $20.05 spent. Okay still not starting. I put in new spark plugs, thinking they are fouled out. Plus, new plug wires too. I think that cost me another $75.00.
It kept trying to run. But not really.
The next morning, I went out and it started up. Ran rough. Okay, maybe I am making it happen. Meanwhile I have been praying LORD, PLEASE HELP ME.
It ran okay, thinking now fill it up with all Premium and try it out. Another $68.17 I have a 17 gallons tank. It ran okay, bucking here and there. I stopped at Advance Auto to get another gas filter. $17.00
I could not get it started again. I tried for about 30 minutes or so. Jeanne was at work.  So, I called my neighbor James, to come and help me tow it to a guy garage called Cason. I told James let me chance the fuel filter one more time.  After I got the tow line on the front of my truck. I went under and pulled the gas filter off and put a new one. Gas running down my arm and arm pit. HELP ME LORD, PLEASE.
Folks it started up and ran okay, BUCKING STILL. I asked James to follow me to the garage and see what happens.
We got there and dropped it off, I went inside and explained to Damen what has been going on. He told me, it will be a few days before he can look at it. I told I understand. James gave me a ride home and I prayed again, Please Lord.
The next couple of days I would drive by his shop and see it has not been moved at all, plus the tow strap was still on it. I think the next week-end I drove over there and thought what else can I do?
PLEASE HELP ME LORD.
I got in and it started up and ran better. I took the tow strap off and thought why not give it a try? I drove down the road a little while, still running a little rough. Okay Lord this is YOUR TRUCK. I am thinking.  I went back home and asked Jeanne to help me pick up the truck. She drove me there and followed me home. So far so good. I told her I was going to take it on 95 and blow it out.
Okay Lord this is yours. Lets, see what happens. I was driving on the main roads and it ran rough.
Okay got to 95 and tried to get her running faster. Bucking, here and there, but seams it be better.
I just kept punching it out and slowing down and speeding up again. Getting better. I drove up to Vero Beach, then down to Port Saint Lucie. and back home.
Not too bad, still rough at med speed. Okay the next day I went out and did Door dash and ran okay, still rough at med speed. But I would punch it and it took off. So, I ran that day, about 80 miles. Filled it up with Premium gas, 5 more gallons $20.05.
Okay the moral of the story is,
DO NOT USE OLD GAS AT ALL. NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE OR THE MONEY.
I have learned a lesson and prayerfully she will give me another 200,000 miles.
She has 212505 today.
THANK YOU, LORD.
Okay how much money did I spend to save a buck? $263.08. WOW THAT SURE WAS NOT WORTH IT. PLUS ALL THE HEADACHES.

Hello again, going to talk about the old shed in back.

When I started this project, I really was just thinking of running 12 wires to the back and hooking it up and let it alone. But as I have a ...
