Yes this is the day that the people there have off and have some time to reflex on their jobs.
I am still here in Ft Laud, Fl. Things have changed up a little. My mom is back home now. She seams to be doing well. All I ask is keep her in your prayers and me too.
Reason for me is, during my time in the Bahamas, I have been spending more that I have been receiving. That means I have been taking money out of my saving. There is a saying at Calvary Chapel, when God guilds He provides. So I am at a fork in the road now. During my time here I have been handing out my card that has all the information about my ministry. Folks that is pretty much all I can do, plus e mails and this blog.
Getting back to my mom, she is using her walker and getting around. So that alone is answered prayer. Now to see how she does taking care of herself. I know my sister Betsy is there to help her. But I don't want her to get burned out. She is willing to do pretty much anything for her. But where do I fit in? As my mom is my step mom, should I come back here and help Betsy? So please hear my heart and understand I just want to do what HE wants. So if you think of us, say a little prayer to show me what I should do. Folks you know how I love helping out at the ALC. So like I said before I am at a fork in the road.
I would love to hear from you and to hear your prayer request too. My e mail address is toms@alcbahamas.org

Just want to show you something.
The picture you see above is from the 8th grade student that have just been push out to the next level, to high school today. Just thought how neat God is. This is just a group of kids that I had in 1st grade Wednesday night bible school, at Calvary. Back then I had a chance to teach the 1st graders on Wednesday night, during the time Pastor Bob was teaching the older folks. I did that for over three years. Some of these kids were there back then. I sat there and watched the things happen, and then realized I was used in each of these kids lives. Then while some had a chance to talk. Most of them spoke of ALC how their time there changed their lives. They talked of The Aids Camp. the schools and so on. What I am talking about is during the school year they have a chance to come over to Adventure Learning Centre. During their stay I even get a day to work with them. So a couple of them came up and said hi and ask how things are doing over there. My God just loves to bless me and show me that I am right where I am suppose to be at.
Earlier this morning I had the chance to do the devotion for the staff at Calvary, ground s and all that work in the back ground. During that time I talked of Book of Acts. Where Luke speaks about how the people came together to help each other out. So the missionaries could do what God has called them to do. Plus I explained all about where I think He wants me. It is so neat to see God using the students and even staff telling me to keep on helping there until He calls me out. I shared about how my funds are way down and we can only look back and see all He has done already in my life to see it is His timing NOT TOM's. So folks please keep my mom in prayer and myself too.
I would love to hear from you. Please e mail me at toms@alcbahamas.org

Hello everyone.
I have made it here, Fort Lauderdale, Fl. But you know it is not always easy to get where you think you are to go. I really don't have any excuse but, I could not print my flight information. The day i book this flight was about four weeks ago. So during this time I have had a chance to sleep and forget everything. So Friday morning, I got a ride to the airport, Nassau. Walked up and handed the my passport, it seamed funny but she was really take a long time. I asked her is every thing okay? She tells me that I was suppose to fly out Thursday, the day before. I told her no, I know i put in Friday the 30th. She comes back and tells me she is sorry but, she is not able to help me out. That day first day for Spirit to not be able to add flight to the this day. So i walked down the area asking the other airlines prices, it ranged from $140. to $239.00. I just stood there and ask my Lord why? So I asked if this airport had wireless Internet? Sorry NO. I talked with one of the s at Bahamas air. She understood but told me that is the best she could do. So I looking back at the flight I should have flown, it really was not a great deal after all. Spirit, $145.00 round trip. This trip cost me now $285.00. I know it is my problem. So I the flight I had a chance to talk with guy that goes to Calvary Chapel South Beach. I told him about the Adventure Learning Centre. I gave him a card. Then the two women I was sitting next to, Bahamians. We talked too about the Centre. Got to Miami, Fl. meet a couple that was form South America ? We where traveling on the TRI RAIL. Told them all about ALC. So I had a nice time with differ people. Now while traveling on the Tri Rail, I tried calling my sister. I told her I would be at the station around 2pm. Plus I would call her when I go on the Tri rail. It is now 4pm. I try and the numbers I have are not right. So I called my mom at the home. She gives me a number. I try calling it, a guy answers and tells me wrong number and don't call back, this is his cell phone. So now I am not sure what or even where I should get off at. If I get off at Cypress I could walk 1 1/2 mile to the church maybe get a ride up to Boca. I just ask my Lord, I had peace. So I rode it all the way up to Boca. I am getting off the train, guess what? My sister and brother in law are sitting right in front of the door I got off. I ask them, have you been waiting since 2pm ? No Lenny tells me that they just got there and sat down. My God is BIG. So I am here until June 10. So if you want to see me or talk. Please e mail me or call me at 954-304-0249.

I recieved this from one of my neice, Kathy.
Things we pray for and what we receive. My prayer and this His prayer. I can look back and see each one of these prayers and see what our Lord did. Thank you for not answering all my prayers. If you answered all that I prayed for. You all know that answer too.The Blessing of Unanswered Prayers
I asked for strength that I might achieve;
I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.
I asked for health that I might do greater things;
I was given infirmity that I might do better things.
I asked for riches that I might be happy;
I was given poverty that I might be wise.
I asked for power that I might have the praise of men;
I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God.
I asked for all things that I might enjoy life;
I was given life that I might enjoy all things.
I got nothing that I had asked for,
but everything that I had hoped for.
Almost despite myself my unspoken prayers were answered;
I am, among all men, most richly blessed.

Daddy's Poem
Her hair was up in a pony tail, Her favorite dress tied with a bow. Today was Daddy's Day at school, And she couldn't wait to go. But her mommy tried to tell her, That she probably should stay home Why the kids might not understand, If she went to school alone. But she was not afraid; She knew just what to say. What to tell her classmates Of why he wasn't there today. But still her mother worried, For her to face this day alone. And that was why once again, She tried to keep her daughter home.. But the little went to school Eager to tell them all. About a dad she never sees A dad who never calls. There were daddies along the wall in back, for everyone to meet. Children squirming impatiently, Anxious in their seats One by one the teacher called A student from the class. To introduce their daddy, As seconds slowly passed. At last the teacher called her name, Every child turned to stare. Each of them was searching, A man who wasn't there. Where's her daddy at?'She heard a boy call out.'She probably doesn't have one,' Another student dared to shout. And from somewhere near the back, She heard a daddy say, Looks like another beat dad, Too busy to waste his day.'The words did not offend her, As she smiled up at her Mom. And looked back at her teacher, who told her to go on, And with hands behind her back, Slowly she began to speak, And out from the mouth of a child,Came words incredibly unique.'My Daddy couldn't be here, Because he lives so far away. But I know he wishes he could be,Since this is such a special day, And though you cannot meet him, I wanted you to know. All about my daddy,And how much he loves me so. He loved to tell me stories, He taught me to ride my bike, He surprised me with pink rose, And taught me to fly a kite.We used to share fudge sundaes,And ice cream in a cone. And though you cannot see him. I'm not standing here alone.'Cause my daddy's always with me, Even though we are apart I know because he told me, He'll forever be in my heart' With that, her little hand reached up, And lay across her chest. Feeling her own heartbeat, Beneath her favorite dress. And from somewhere there in the crowd of dads, her mother stood in tears, Proudly watching her daughter, Who was wise beyond her years. For she stood up for the love Of a man not in her life. Doing what was best for her, Doing what was right. And when she dropped her hand back down, staring straight into the crowd. She finished with a voice so soft, But its message clear and loud. 'I love my daddy very much, he's my shining star. And if he could, he'd be here, But heaven's just too far. You see he is a Marine And died just this past year When a roadside hit his convoy And taught Americans to fear. But sometimes when I close my eyes, it's like he never went away, And then she closed her eye, And saw him there that day. And to her mother's amazement, She witnessed with surprise. A room full of daddies and children, All starting to close their eyes. Who knows what they saw before them, Who knows what they felt inside. Perhaps for merely a second, They saw him at her side.'I know you're with me Daddy,'To the silence she called out. And what happened next made believers, Of those once filled with doubt. Not one in that room could explain it, For each of their eyes had been closed. But there on the desk beside her, Was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose. And a child was blessed, if only for a moment, by the love of her shining star. And given the gift of believing,That heaven is never too far.
There must be many children in the same boat as this little , thanks to our servicemen and their families for the sacrifice they are making to keep our country Free.
May God bless you all. Pray for this Marine and all who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. Pray for all those still fighting to protect the freedoms we take for granted.

I received this from a friend back in Fort Lauderdale, his name is Freddy. The man that is talking is Bill Cosby. It might sound funny but this is a real problem here in the Bahamas and I know pretty much through the world now. Read it laugh but remember these are our kids and what are you doing in your own family? They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk: |

Hello to all my folks out there.
Yesterday we had a special guest here at the Adventure Learning Centre. His name is Dr. Bernard Nottage. He is the one over seeing all of the health cares of the islands here. He has been a over seer for a while now. He belongs to PLP, they have lost their upper hand in the Islands now. The FNM is ruing the show. It is like back in the states, GOP and DEM.
Getting back to why he stopped by, Pastor Chet our over seer here at the ALC. Well Pastor Chet had a meeting with him and others about what we do here. So it was really neat to see him and his wife show up here.I am not sure of what they talked about but, I know our Lord was in the middle of their talk.
I just ask that you could keep our country in prayer, we are having a lot of trouble with our kids and how they just need some love and direction. I know this is a problem in the world in a whole. But it all comes back to the family and how the kids see what happens there.

This is just to ask you all a question???????
I have been writing in this blog now for over 2 years. I have tried to let you all know what is going on here in the Bahamas and my own life. I know there are some dumb things I talk about and some funny things too. I love to share and let every one know what is going on, plus a time to reflex back on our passed. I know there are people looking at this and just laugh and say what a bunch of junk too. I use to have a counter that showed me how many even saw this blog. It went away. But it is back and I KNOW someone is checking this out everyday. So please please I ask if you could write to me and let me know what you think. Or if you have something to share with others. I would love to do that too. If you look back I have received things form friends and family, I try to tell you where it came from. Folks this is my main line to the world to share and just have some fun too. So if you would like to write back to me and just say hello or you have some thing you would like to share. What ever it is, I would love to hear from you and your words of wisdom or even telling me that I am full of junk.
I do pray that you enjoy what I share.

Good morning all, or afternoon to some.
Hey I just received a e mail from a friend of mine back in Florida. His name is Freddy. He sent me a web page, movie. It is called the Dash. I have been to a lot of funerals and I have only heard this poem once. So at this time I would like to share this with all of my friends and family. It is something that we are all going to have to deal with at the end of our lives. What is the time you have spent on this earth like? Have you loved and helped and just being a good person? Well after seeing this maybe we should look at our lives and see how really our time here is so short. Please pass this on to your family and your friends too. Enjoy life and be used by God to help others. I really hope you understand what this is all about and what it is trying to show you. Enjoy and let me know what you think of this.

Just to show.
This last week I went to a recycle place to get rid of old oil. I got there and this older guy came out and told me that their tanks and all barrels are full. then he explain what was going on. For over two years now, they owners, have been trying to get this old oil shipped out of here. For these last two years they keep telling them yes we want the old oil but there is no way to get it shipped out. It cost more to ship than to just hold on to it. Mean while another truck driver was there and he told me about how, last week a large tank truck came into there and how they had to tell him they could not help him out any more. So my problem is where are we to take this old oil and get rid of it? He told me that pretty much most people just dump it in the ground.
So this next week i am going to try to see if their might be someone here that could help in sloving this problem. I just could see someone dumping the oil into the ground. Mean while they did take our old oil and just put it in storage?????
Please keep this in prayer and I will let you know what happens.

The offical meaning of Whit Monday.
Thank you for your interest in the Islands of The Bahamas. Whit Monday is
a religious holiday. It is the celebration of the birthday of the
Christian Church dating back to Pentecost when the Holy Spirit descended
upon those present and the Apostle Peter gave his great sermon during
which time some 3,000 persons were added to the church. It is thought to
be called "Whit" which is an abbreviation of the word "white" which was
what was worn by the women. Hope this helps.

It is Whit Monday here. We all have OFF here.
Does anyone out there know what is Whit Monday? I have heard this from some friends here, it is the 50 days after Easter Sunday. That means it is Peacost Sunday the day before. This island goes on holiday the same as England would have. So this day was a day to relax and do some Bible reading and just enjoy the time off.
I got up early and did my reading and then left for a real nice bicycle ride. This time I rode around the whole island. I have done it before but not as fast as this time. It only took me 4.25 hours. Last time it was around 6hours. I can tell you this. Around the 2/3 mark my legs started hurting. I am not sure why, I drank over 5 liters of water. So i can not image that being the problem. Plus I have ridden half way around many time since I have been here. Oh well I made it and I feel pretty good now. After getting some rest and food. It is so neat to be my age and still be able to do things like this.
I am looking forward in going over to Florida next month. I will (hopeful) do a nice ride there. What I do is ride to the train station, get on with my bike. Ride down to Miami, (79th Street) get off and ride to South Beach. It will take me about a hour or so. It is so beautiful down in that area. Riding is nice, the traffic doesn't not bad. I have been riding down there for over 5 years. It is nice and relaxing. I love listening to some music.
Today is pretty much gone now. So I will talk with you later on. May He bless this day the ones that are coming. Be ready for His coming.

This is about the Dangerous Brown Recluse Spider
The Dangerous Brown Recluse Spider
Please be careful. Spider bites are dangerous and can have permanent and highly negative consequences.
They like the darkness and tend to live in storage
sheds or attics or other areas that might not be
frequented by people or light.
If you have a need to be in your attic, go up there
and turn on a light and leave it on for about 30 minutes
before you go in to do your work!

Hey it is Mother's Day. Happy to all.
Well Friday was a end of another Patmos #3, The picture you see above is all the students that made it. We started out with 13 we ended with 11. That is okay, it is all about Him. That is called His timing. I did wish all could have made it, but there are things in our lives we just don't want to give up. That is what happens when we are being rebelest. I am so happy to see how God used and made some what more whole, than when they got here. The 4 months seem very long, at first but as the time just flew by. You look back and see God's hand and work in each of these students. I will miss each one, but I will miss a few a little more. I thank our Lord for letting me be part of these kids lives. I am looking forward in seeing the next group come in. (maybe) No I just joking. This next group I really pray and hope they are ready for the war that is before them. Please if you think about these students, I ask for prayer for each one and I know God is getting them ready.
This is a side bar, I know I could do more with the students but when the day is done I am tried and I just want to go back to my apartment and rest. That is my selfest. I hope and pray that this next bunch of students, I will get more focus on them. Not the work and the things that are around me. I had a nice talk with one of my roommates, Jayson, we were talking about how these students need men to look up at and see God in their lives. I know I could do more and I will try to next term.

I just want to stop by show how things are going here.
This last couple of weeks David and I have been cleaning house around here. The pictures you see are just some of the things we have got rite of. I know some of you that have been here many years ago, will remember the buses and the trolley that we used to use. It might seem we are getting some of the old things out. So we will have room for new things. The buses you see here have been here since the beginning of the start of ALC. Both of them have done their work for us and now is the time to let them rest in the grave yard of old things. Some of you might think this is mean and cruel and it could be. But when the boss said to get rite of, I am ready and willing.
David and his family leaving this week, is sad time but a great time for their next road they are going to go down. David was telling me a while back that, they needed to clean house and now God can use them even more now. All they have now is the things they brought with them and pretty much that is it. There will be a BIG void here with out them and we will miss them very much. David and I really did get a lot of things fixed and repaired while he was here. I look at my list now and say THANK-YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL YOU GUYS HAVE DONE AND MAY HE BLESS YOUR FUTURE.

Hey we had some visitor today.
I am in the writing mode. Today there was over 30 people that came in on three private jets. I will not tell who they are at this time. But they all came and checked out The All Saint Aids Camp. I have written about this place before. They were here to see what needs are needed. I really pray first of all the main guy, Wayne has a chance to hear Pastor Chet's heart and maybe he can be used by God to help us here. It sure was nice to see all my old friends from Calvary FtL. I know if I start naming people I will forget someone and I would to do that. They were here for only about 3 hours. They are at this time flying back to Fort Lauderdale, Fl.
Please keep us in prayer on the idea of people coming over to help us and build our Bath House and finish the Cottages. We will need them by next term. Patmos #4 starts in Aug. 2008.

It is IIIIIII again.
I just want to let everyone know I will be in town, Fort Lauderdale, Fl. The dates are May 30th to June 10th 2008. I want to share about my ticket, (flight) Thursday afternoon, I went on line and found a flight, Spirit, leaving here was $.18 plus taxes. Then flight back was $19.00 total was $105.00 what a great deal. Oh now I need to get a form to give to my boss here for time off. Okay I talked with Adam, and he said no problem at all. So I went on line and found a flight, $205.00. I went to Travelocity, found a flight for $145.00. Our Lord is doing some work in me and I just need to trust Him more. Just like the blog that is below, is telling you about my faith.
Just saw something and thought.
While driving from the Bible study this morning. I was watching this dog running after his master, ( I think) Not really looking at the dog, I noticed I did see one of his hind leg were missing. Then remembering how happy the dog looked while running after his master. How I am asking God why??? about poor me. (funds) Then He shows me something like this and watch the joy on this dog's face running, not sitting down and crying and saying why?? do I only have three legs?? No he was happy just to be able to run after his master and please him too. So please folks, my request now is for prayer on MORE FAITH. I need to stop and thank my Lord for ALL I have and just enjoy in knowing how much He loves me and even YOU. Thank you for listening to my small stories. Enjoy this week-end and may this be a blessing to you too.
Remember this today.
When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let go.
Only 1 of 2 things will happen, either He'll catch you when you fall, or
He'll teach you how to fly! 'The power of one sentence!
God is going to shift things around for you today and let things work
in your favor.
God closes doors no man can open & God opens doors no man can close. If
You need God to open some doors for you...

Good day to all
I just want to make sure I am doing what He has called me to do. First of all I believe I am here for that calling. He has not showed me anything else in the near future, like going back to Florida or even doing something else. So at this time I am asking my friends and family to keep me in prayer and making sure this is correct. I need to let everyone know that my funds are really drying up fast. Please Please I am just talking to the people that God has tugged on your heart to help me. Folks this is not what I like to do, ask for help. But by looking at what is going on around here, prices are going up just like they are there in the states. But here they are high already. I filled up my truck Tuesday afternoon. $60.00 it cost and it still was not full.
Please my friends and family that have help me before. This is not really for you, this is the ones that I believe Gods has tugged on their hearts. My brothers and sisters, I love being in God's will and this is my place for now. Please pass this on to who ever you want and lets see God hand move and do some amazing things here.
The people back at Calvary FTL. was blessed by a message that Pastor Bob and Pastor Chet was given a couple of week-ends ago. About out reaches and how, if you can not go to do the work. You send others out so the work gets done.
Please I really don't like to ask for things. So please pray and like I said before make sure this is from Him and that is all I can ask for.
Hey I got one more prayer request, David and his family will be leaving soon and I just ask that you can keep them in your prayers too. Their leaving is what they believe God has told them. So the planning and getting everything in order needs to happen. Please pray for their departing goes well.

Hey another friend sent me another joke. Enjoy
Holy Mail......
One day God was looking down at Earth and saw all of the rascally
behavior that was going on. So He called one of His angels and sent the
angel to Earth for a time.
When the angel returned, he told God, 'Yes, it is bad on Earth; 95% are
misbehaving and only 5% are not.
God thought for a moment and said, 'Maybe I had better send down a
second angel to get another opinion.'
So God called another angel and sent him to Earth for a time.
When that angel returned she went to God and said, 'Yes, it's true. The
Earth is in decline; 95% are misbehaving, but 5% are being good.'
God was not pleased. So He decided to e-mail the 5% that were good,
because he wanted to encourage them, and give them a little something
to help them keep going.
Do you know what the e-mail said?
Okay. I was just wondering. I didn't get one either.

This about how to deal with LIFE, ENJOY
CHRISTIAN WAYS TO REDUCE STRESS ...
An Angel says, 'Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice.'
1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.
3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
17. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19 Get organized so everything has its place.
20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.
21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people.
25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.
26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good 'Thank you Jesus .'
27. Laugh.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
32. Sit on your ego.
33 Talk less; listen more.
34. Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.
36 . Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU.
'If God is for us, who can be against us?'

It is just I saying Hello.
This last week I have been battling the flue or something like it. It is no fun just lying around and sleeping. I have found for myself when I get this way, all I need to rest. Plus some orange juice and a couple cans of chicken soup. Hey I am not all the way as of today. But in His stenght I can do all things.
Okay let me tell you a little story about what is going on here. If you have read any of my blog in the last month or so. You know I have been praying about what is next in my future. This is what has happen since Thursday night. I received a call from my niece, Kathy, she was down in Boca to visit with her grandma, my step mom. During her time here Mom was taken to the hospital, reason is still not clear. Mom told me that she had a mild stork. Mean while during all that week no one called me to let me know. So now Kathy is on her way back to Rochester, NY. So she thought I should know about it. I called Florence, Mom, to ask her what happen, she just said she believes she had a mild stork and she is in nursing home now. Then she ask if my time here is up or not? I told her I was not sure. Now I called my sister Betsy, she tells me she needs to stay in that home for a couple of weeks. Then we can make plains on what can be done.
Now Friday morning, I was talking with David about what he thinks God is doing in his family lives now. He thinks his time here is done and they might go back to Pa and do something else there. He telling me about how God had to take all their things away, so they can be ready to move when He tells them to. Remember I told you all about how David and his family sold everything and move here with just a small amount of things.
Okay so NOW what is going on??????
I believe I am to stay here and just do my thing in maintenance and see what happens down the road. I just want you all to know how much I THANK YOU for your prayers and the ride of my life with Him.

Just stopping bye to say hello.
A couple of days ago, I received a note from a friend about what kids say adout how they remember what they learn in Sunday School. It sure was funny. This is just one that I got yesterday. I thought to pass it on to you guys.
The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray: "Take only ONE . God is watching." Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.
A child had written a note, "Take all you want. God is watching the apples."
Life is sooooooo short, I am asking each one out there to pray for someone today, parent, friend, a family member. Just do it and see what He does for them. Enjoy your day and just have a wonderful smile to share with others.

Good afternoon all,
This is little things as us men did last night. We were all invited to Kinson's home for a little get together. Which that pretty much was it in a nut shell. We all got there and had some great food and then the talking started. They pretty much love talking about the PLP and FNM. These are the parties here that run this nation. Right now the FNM is in control for the next 4 and half years. I have talked about how and how the Bahamians people love these parties. But the guys came up with the junk that is going on now with the customs department. There is a small problem with some one changing the duty on some things and the Minister that is over seeing it has a family member in the mix. So it is some great talking and debating. But the evening ended well. All leaving to go home and just drop the talk like that.
Then this morning we all got together at the church for a Saturday Men's Bible study. Good turn out, not as many as last week, (20). But the guys that came out did their best. After that time some of us went out to the house we have been painting and cleaning since three months ago. I had a miss hap. I knock over two and half gallons of Off white paint on the brown carpet in one of the bedrooms. By God grace and friend willing to help we got it all up. Plus a shop vac from David my partner at the Centre. I have some GREAT NEWS, to all that have been out to help us. IT IS FINISHED. That is RIGHT IT IS FINISHED. Thank you so much for all that have been out to help us. I hope we take a break now until the next one. Enjoy your day and I hope all of you out there are doing well. Please let me know. I would love to hear from you.

I have been trying to tell my friends and family.
I received this poem that is below today. These are just a couple of things I am trying to show and tell my friends. Life is SHORT and our time is running out. I just want you all to know that we need each other and the older you get how much more we need Jesus Christ. I have been dealing with idea that my time here is coming to a close, but He has not open any other doors. So I will seek His face and keep in prayer about it.
This is just one verse that I read this morning, Jame 3:17 - But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. (16) Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
So at this time I just want you all know that His Wisdom is needed in my heart and I will keep trying to seek it more each day.

This Poem is from a friend, Pass it on.
Around the corner I have a friend, In this great city that has no end, Yet the days go by and weeks rush on, And before I know it, a year is gone. And I never see my old friends face, For life is a swift and terrible race, He knows I like him just as well, As in the days when I rang his bell. And he rang mine but we were younger then, And now we are busy, tired men. Tired of playing a foolish game, Tired of trying to make a name. Tomorrow' I say! 'I will call on Jim Just to show that I'm thinking of him.' But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes, And distance between us grows and grows. Around the corner, yet miles away, Here's a telegram sir,' ' Jim died today.' And that's what we get and deserve in the end. Around the corner, a vanished friend. Remember to always say what you mean. If you love someone, tell them. Don't be afraid to express yourself. Reach out and tell someone what they mean to you. Because when you decide that it is the right time it might be too late.
Seize the day. Never have regrets And most importantly, stay close to your friends and family, for they have helped make you the person that you are today.

It is just so neat to be here.
Some days I look at the things I am doing here and wonder why. I go back into my files of pictures and just remember. The picture that is above is just one. I love taking pictures and just remembering I am here and this is my home for now. I thank Him each day and just reflex back. Just to let you all know I have been here now almost three (3) years ago, June 2 2005. The only reason I remember the date is, it was Fun Day, Water Mania. The day before I flew in and the next one was driving a truck around filling up large water containers. I knew that day I was right where I was to be.
So now I am wondering if my time here is coming to a end or not. I still love doing the things I am doing. But some days I believe He is calling me out of here. He has not said anything to me, but just to trust Him and walk in His ways.
Last night we had a time of called, After Glow. Pastor Jeff Buck over saw it. What is a After Glow Service you ask? It is a time to praise our Lord and sing songs of joyful noise. Then ask if there is any one that has a verse to share. Well it seem like every one up there had some thing to share. It really was a good time. The verse that came to my mind was Isaiah 61:1 to 4. These verses were given to me 9 years ago. They talk about how He is with us and how we need to do what he wants from us. I will share more next time.
I just want what he wants.

Hey I am trying to put the counter back on.
I long time ago I use to have a counter on my blog just to see if anyone was checking it out. So I have tried a couple of ways to get it back on. Now I have it but it is not where I want it to be. So for now this is where it will stay until I figure it out or someone can show me how to move it.
This last week end was a good time of resting and just chilling out. Saturday had the men's study. there was 20 guys there. Boy this is so exciting to see all these guys. You s out there just don't understand, you get together and pray and talk and just fellowship. To get guys to come together is very rare. Most the time is during sports or doing something. To get 20 guys in one room to study God's Word!!!!!!!. That is one for the books. We are going through a book about, How to control your mind. You all can just imagine how many troubles we have as men about this. Then after the study 5 guys went out to the house we have been working at for the last two and half months. Painting and fixing up. We are all pretty much tried for working on this place. So this next Saturday we have decided this should be the last one. I know I have told you all this before and but every time we go out. We see more things to repair. I hope to share some pictures this coming week on all that has been done.

There is a sister that is in need here.
Last week Susan and David, maint, gave me a ticket for a cook out. I know they told me that it would cost them to much to pay for all of their family to eat there. So they thought of me and just gave it to me. I went there yesterday to collect my food. I ask the people there what was this for? One woman told me that a young lady, Michel Russel was in a car miss hap back in 2005. She needed a lot of things repaired in her little body. So the cost have been going through the roof for doctors and bills. So they decide to have a cook out and try to raise some money. The way it was going while I was there was neat. People just kept on coming and going. The food was great, chicken and your chose of side orders. It was really some good food. I just want to pass this on to all of you about how many people in this world are trying to make ends meet. Please keep her in your prayers and let us see how GOOD OUR LORD IS.

Just a small note.
The Logos II left for the Camen Islands yesterday. I was sitting home last night after our church service, up in the barn. Wondering how far they are. I was told it will take about three (3) days to get there. The ship can only go about 4 to 6 knots. I am missing them already. Please keep them in prayer and if you want to hear about them here is their web page.
Please feel free to check out all they do. Plus most of all is keep them in prayer.

HAVE FAITH IN GOD
A lot of things are arding us today to rob us of our peace. If we turn on the news on TV or open up the newspaper, it's easy to become afraid and get into a panic mode.So how do we fight that fear? With faith. Romans 12:3 says that God has given every person a measure of faith. We are either going to believe something positive or something negative. If we believe we are going to go under, guess where we are going? Under! But if we put our faith in positive things, then there is hope for a positive outcome. In Mark 11:22 Jesus said, Have faith. But He didn't stop there. He said, Have faith in God. That means we have a choice: we can either put our faith in the world's message of fear or in God's words of hope.Faith is an energy to be used. So what are you using your faith for? Are you using it to reinforce the idea that awful things are bound to happen? Or are you taking that energy and using it to believe that good things are ahead?Instead of allowing yourself to be consumed with worry about what's going on in the world, choose to mentally take a posture of faith and stand on this one tiny Scripture which says, Have faith in God. It's only four little words, but the power of Jesus Christ backs up every one of those words!

What a GREAT gift IDEA....
Rick was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary.
His wife was really angry. She told him "Tomorrow morning,
I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in less than 10 seconds, AND IT BETTER BE THERE!!"
The next morning Rick got up early and left for work
When his wife woke up she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway.
Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, and brought the box back in the house.
She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.
Rick has been missing since Friday. Please pray for him--____________________________________________________________

Hey everyone,
Well my friends from the Logos II will be leaving this port and heading south. I really do want to say thank you very much to all of the crew. Every time I went on the ship I felt the love of Christ and the fellowship that He brings to family. These students and staff and even crew have a lot on their plates. I will just share a small story about two nights ago. I got the ship around 6pm and walked around up stairs in the book store. I looked and the place looked like a went off. There was books pretty much every where they don't belong. I looked a little more and I asked God to give me a easy job that night. Reason I have been straightening the books out each night and just trying to stay ahead of the consumers. But that night I was very tried. By reading the blog under this one you can see all we worked on the last couple of days at the Centre. So my God showed up and one of the staff ask me to help a young lady out that was working the gang plank. That is the place people come a board and then depart on the same stairs. So I had a great time helping her out. I know I am spelling her name wrong, she can correct me if she reads this. I called her Raychel. She has such a great smile and you can see it right above here. She is one of the crew that over sees the paper work and things that need to get done on the ship. Just the time we had I really did enjoy. I know our Lord has been using her and He will bless her. I really do want to say thank you again Lord for this time and just ask that He will bless this crew.
I hope to keep in touch with them and I will keep you all in the loop.
I hope to keep in touch with them and I will keep you all in the loop.

Hello and hello to everyone.
I am so glad you guys stop by to say hello and checking out my blog. I just want to share this week-end with you all. Hey Friday was a day I could have stayed home and did nothing. Reason is things just didn't go well at all. David and I tried to get some things done. The back hoe stopped running, reason the fuel line was plugged up with some junk. So we took it apart and tried to put it back together again. During that time we ran into a problem, the brass treads on the tank were striped and just would not stop leaking. So that day was shot. Notice one of the train wheels, there was only one stud holding the wheel on. There is using 6 studs. So that was out service too.
Saturday I ran around and got the parts we needed.
Came in Monday morning and saw the Jungle bus parked in the grass area, it was towed in Sunday. It stopped running. Okay, then Jen Mingo came up and told us the World Bus had a flat tyre. So now we come and by His grace we have the will and strenght to do His work here. Got the Jungle bus running again, ran out of fuel, the gauge was not working. Then we started out with the back hoe. Repaired, the the World bus flat, fixed. The train done. Then we had some time left and we put up the wall that Pastor Chet wanted done three months ago. That to Him be the GLORY and in Him we can do IT ALL. Thank you LORD for this day and look forward in seeing today ventures. I pray that you all have a wonderful day and MAY HE BLESS YOU TOOOOOOOOO.

Hello my friends and family
I just would love to share with you a small story about the gas thing. When I first came here in 2005, the price of diesel was $3.13 a gallon. Today it is up to $4.88. The sad part is all the buses that we have run on diesel. Plus all the public buses do too. Do you remember when diesel was a lot lower in price than gas. My friends and family went out and bought diesel cars to save money. Oh well. Okay our gas is going and coming with prices each day. back in 2006 it went for $4.90 gal. went down to $4.14. Now up to $5.00. I know over there you have the same things going on. I really don't see a end to this story, except our Lord will not give us any more than we can handle. Please keep the Logos II in prayer, they will be coming today to spend some time just relaxing. I know they are pretty much warn out. They need their batteries charge up again. I hope you all are well and if you have any prayer request, PLEASE let me know and I would love to keep you in prayer. My e mail address is toms@alcbahamas.org Love to hear from you all.

We had our Easter Fun day this last Monday.
Boy it was great. Not sure on how many came but I know there was more than 900. So we can look at their faces and see how much fun they had. I really do hope and pray that each and every one that came had the chance to hear His Word and walk in knowing His LOVE and why there was a Easter. It was because of His love for us and that is all there. Jesus Christ and only Him alone. Thank you for that, Dad and I pray each day that we all can trust in Him. Enjoy your day and may this be a blessing to all.
The Legend of the Cherokee Indian Youth.
Do you know the legend of the Cherokee Indian youth's rite of Passage? His father takes him into the forest, blindfolds him and leaves him alone. He is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not remove the blindfold until the rays of the morning sun shine through it. He cannot cry out for help to anyone. Once he survives the night, he is a MAN.
He cannot tell the other boys of this experience, because each lad must come into manhood on his own. The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him. Maybe even some human might do him harm. The wind blew the grass and earth, and shook his stump, but he sat stoically, never removing the blindfold. It would be the only way he could become a man!
Finally, after a horrific night the sun appeared and he removed his blindfold. It was then that he discovered his father sitting on the stump next to him. He had been at watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm. We, too, are never alone. Even when we don't know it, God is watching over us, sitting on the stump beside us. When trouble comes, all we have to do is reach out to Him. If you liked this story, pass it on. If not, you took off your blindfold before dawn.
Moral of the story: Just because you can't see God, doesn't mean He is not there. 'For we walk by faith, not by sight.'

Hey these are my friends at Unity House.
You can see in their eyes how much God's Word is living in these two. I am very happy to be part of their lives. I have a chance each Thursday to go over there and give them some of my time and God's word. I am been doing this now for two years. It is so funny how when I first started going over there. I was studying and writing up like a lesson for them. I tried being like Pastor Bob. I would use verse to show other verses how they all come together. Then I would ask questions, then no one would say anything. I just thought I was doing right. But The Lord showed me I was not helping them at all.
The Lord then showed a Children's Bible to me and it has pictures through out. Now I read to them and show the pictures to them too. it is such a joy now to see their faces and to watch how they just love to see the pictures. All i can do is thank our Lord for these time and to be part of their family. If you could keep them in prayer. they really don't have a thing. This house is for the people that have lost their homes or family has given up on them. The real sad part is, we do the same in the states. Putting our older folks in homes and saying they are better off. They are much happier. I real not sure about that, I know theses people would love to see their family again. But they don't. So by God's grace I am now their family and friends.

O.M. is back in town, Logos 2.
This last week the Logos 2 came into Free port. It will be there until Wednesday. Then they are on their way back over to our small island. It sure will be neat to see again. About two years ago this wonderful ship came into our port and just blessed a lot of people here. They even stayed at our Camp for 4 days (?). I am not sure if they will stay with us again or not. I saw a guy named Sean, yesterday at Calvary Bible. He was telling me that they were trying to set something up. I know most of the crew is back in Germany. That is where the New ship Logos Hope is being built and getting ready for their own ministry. Plus we have been told that Randy Grebe and family are going to be part of that ship's crew. They are building a Adventure Learning Centre right on the top deck of the ship. I am so excited to see how it is coming along. Just think every one in the whole world will be able to see Randy's ideas on how to get the Word out about Jesus Christ. When they get here I will write more about them, then.
Please keep us in prayer on the things we kept loosing things. Last night we had another break in and they took almost all of our cleaning supplies and things. About two weeks ago, they took Adam's laptop and other things. Folks the crime around us is just getting worse each day. The island has had 16 for this year alone. The kids here are not dealing well with convict and they are the one's that are the people.
