February is gone as of today.

It just blows my mind each day it seems to be flies bye. It was our Singles get together last night, up in the Barn (ALC) We had a full house there. Veda is the one that pretty much put this all together. We had two couples come in and share about their own life trails and joys. This last month was Valentine, love month. So Veda thought it would nice to hear about couples that have been down the road. You know about the dating and then marriage then children. Plus how to do it right.
The first couple was Mark and Kim Wallace. They have been married now for 5 years and have a little boy named Adam, (14 months old). They just told us like it is, we all believe one of these days we will be married to Mr or Mrs right. Which it does happen. But during the time of waiting is the time to get your own life in in order and be content with it. Then the time will be up to Him to have it happen. Mark just shared how long he waited and how he ask for prayer and seek our Lord Jesus Christ. Which this is the way He wants us to all be.
Then the next couple (sorry not sure of names) came up and shared about how they have been toghter now for 14 years, with a blended family. This means having a child with another spouse. Plus they shared about how he is pretty much on the sea for two or three weeks at a time, Away from the wife and kids. You can just think how hard it is to raise a family when you are together each night, this couple did it with the help of other family members and friends they had to encouraged. Like I said they have been married now 14 years and still going strong. They have had troubles and problems, but by our Lord Jesus Christ at the helm they push forward each day and bring glory to His name and today they can stand knowing it was by His strenghten, NOT THEIRS.
So I believe pretty much every one there last night was blessed and knowing that we as believers need to focus on Him and then relationship. That way it will be His works not ours. I thank every one for coming out last night and I pray that you were as blessed with all we did, as I was.
