All my friends that are out there,Happy Veteran's Day to you.

It really is kind of neat to see a school go beyond to celebrate a wonderful Holiday as Veteran's. All the years I have been on this earth. I have not seen any one school want to show off our vets. By walking around the school you can see picture after pictures of these that have passed on. The ones that did fight for us and the ones that are fighting for us, NOW.
In my day of being 18, That was not a good time to say you are going into the military. I remember as the draft was going on. I was at school rating. Then I turned 18 and boy did my knee knock. Then they did something new. The Lottery happen. My number was 351. The reason was they did like the lottery does now. Put your birthday on a ball. Then draw the number. A good friend of mine. Steve. His number was #2. So he asked me to  go with him to the recruiting office. I said sure. We got there and he went one way and I another way. Well I got in this one office and a guy came up to me and asked me to take a test. I did and afterwards he asked me what would I like do next. I said go home. Then Steve came out and told me that he was going to Germany for collage. He asked me where I was going? Home.
I look back now and say, wow. I did have a couple of my friends from school go into the Vietnam war and didn't come home.

These are the folks that are making this happen. Not today but tomorrow we are having a concert at Calvary. It is our students playing military songs and between that. There will be different speakers, which is so good to be able to hear their stories. All the CCA students will be there to listen and learn more about what war is and why our men and women have done what they have. plus the ones that are there on the field now.

This is OUR FLAG and NO ONE will ever let these colors run. As long as me have men and women that are willing to fight for them.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR KEEPING US SAFE.

As our day was going by. I heard on the radio that they needed help unloading a truck. So as this really is my job to help out. I came out and did what I could. What the problem is the trailer that we have been using has a leak in it. So the trucking company brought us a another trailer and we had to take the boxes out of one and bring them into the new trailer.
Folks it really is neat to call this place my ministry and job. I just enjoyed working along side these guys and hang out with them for that short time. They really are good guys.
