I really am enjoying these smaller jobs.

Well Monday we stopped by Bobby's house. (Roy's brother) He was asking us if we could replace his door? We looked at it and I asked. I see you have another door on the inside. Maybe we can save you some money and just take the old door off and put up a piece of plywood? Bobby and Roy thought wow that will work.

You can see how bad the water damage is. So we cleaned it all up and drove over to Home Depot and bought what we thought we needed

We got 3 pcs of 2"x 6" x 8' treated lumber. 3/4" treated plywood. Pretty much had everything else. We put up the 2 x 6 and then cut the plywood the size we needed and it will be great. Over all for this job, it only took us maybe 3 hours, tops. The reason is driving to the dump, Home Depot, lunch and back. That is what really takes up most of our time.

At the end Bobby and his wife Michelle thought it looked great. We did talk about putting up siding. But they told us this is good enough.
We caulked it in and put up some trim an all that is needed now it let it dry out and paint it. The lumber was still wet and it really needs to be dry before painting. It will take about four days to be dried out. Then Bobby told us he would paint it then.
Folks another satisfied customer.
Praise HIM for wisdom and ability to do the job.
