Look what $8.99 buys these days.

Look how the white wire look so real. This is the back of the camers area.

Howdy Partners,

I am back in the grove and ready to rock and roll. Monday I got back and I had a chance to replace the brakes on one of our staff’s car. It was so funny to be put right back to work. It felt great, being needed and walking away knowing I did something for God that day. Well my trip back to Florida didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to. If you have read any of my blogs before this one you already know what happen. I do want to thank you all for your prayers and e mails. It sure is good to know how people out there really do care and love what I do.

Okay now some thing to share with you and PLEASE DON”T share this with my neighbors next store. We have now two cameras that are set in place and ready for some action. I got these from Harbor Freight while in town last week. They really do look like real one but the cost is a little less than that. These only cost me $8.99 each. The real funny part is they rotate when you walk by and a red light shine too. So they look real but not really. So if you are having any trouble with people dropping by to borrow things from you. Try these cameras, for only $9.00. Now the real test will be when my neighbor take something, will they run away or try to break them with rocks or sticks? That will be the next problem we will encounter.

Please pray for a friend of mine. Her name is Lori Deibel. If you have read any of my blogs before this one, you know all that she is going through. But now the doctors found a spot on her bones and this could be more cancer. She is getting a bone scan this week. So please keep her in your prayers. Thank you again.

Laura, Greg, Bonita and my mom Florence.

Thank you for your prayers

This is THANK YOU to all of you that have been praying for my family and me. The funeral was this last Saturday morning. During the time there I had a chance to see my cousins that I have not seen since my dad’s funeral. Greg and his wife Laura and one of Laura’s daughter’s were there. Then I saw Bonita and Chuck. It sure was good to see them, but I wish it was a more of a reunion than a funeral. I was hoping to see some of my other family members. But sorry to say they had other things going on, plus some were out of the area. I understand how things happen. I did have a time with Greg, Laura and Bonita, Just getting caught up on what has been happening. So it turned out pretty good. Other people that came were brothers (of Aunt Thelma) and wives... One of the brothers (Bob) just came to the grave site and left for home right away. Reason he called Greg later on and told him he was sorry that he didn’t come over for some time with them. The reason was he just was having too hard of a time knowing his sister has passed from this earth. Getting back to talking with my cousins, found out a lot of things have been happening in the family and not knowing anything about it. Folks this is what I have been talking about how our family should be one of our top things to keep involved with. I really wish there was a time or something to get together with out being funerals or even weddings. Just a time to reflex on what has been happening in our lives and just a good time. But the way the world is spinning out of control and everyone with this and that. I understand how it happens. But that still is no excuse for it. So anyone out there that has not talked or spend time with your family, go, JUST GO DO IT. I am at the airport as I speak.Take care talk with you later on.

This was a fast shot, I didn't want people getting up set for taking their picture. But this is the inside of the Tri Rail. See bikes on the right .

Skyline in South Beach, Fl. ,Looking North

Good day all,

Well folks while I am staying for a couple more days, reason the funeral is Saturday morning. I went for a great bicycle ride yesterday. I rode to the Hillsboro train station. Got on the Tri rail and rode it south to the Metro Transfer station. Got off there and rode my bike down 79th Street, towards Miami Beach. Went over the JFK Causeway and rode through Miami beach and rode down to South beach on Collins Ave. While going down that way, I took a lot of pictures, just noticing how many places have chanced since my last trip. So the pictures you are seeing are the way it is now. Boy there is sure a lot of construction going all over that area. They tear down and build another building twice as tall. It sure was a good time to clear out my mind and focus on Him. I just enjoyed the time and while on the train talked with a couple of guys down and back up. If you have never ridden the Tri Rail. Please just go for a ride and I really think you will enjoy your time and even you’re saving of money. My trip from Deerfield to Metro was $7.75 round trip. During the weekend it is only $4.00 round trip. So if you have some spare time just take a ride and enjoy it. I will talk with you guys later on. I really am looking forward to how God is working this all out during my time here. So please keep my family in prayer for this Saturday morning is the funeral. It will be up in Winter Haven, Florida. We will be leaving tomorrow afternoon so we can get settled and not be running around, Saturday morning. Take care Tom

Good day fellow friends and family

Well my vacation has taken a twist. Sad note my aunt Thelma as passed. So while here I will stay until the funeral. That will be up in Winter Haven, on Saturday morning at 10 am. So I am asking all of you out there to keep my family in prayer and that I will be able to comfort them in this time of sorrow. I know it has been a long road to get the family together for some kind of reunion. The real sad part is I wish this could happen under differ times. I know our Lord in the middle of our lives and He will bless the time we do have together. So at this time I will be getting back into Nassau on Monday morning. I will do the booking after I have finished this blog in. Thank you so much for your prayers and if you like to write something for my family, you can send it to my e mail address. toms@alcbahamas.org Tom

This is what life is all about

Vactation has started

Hello all, I have made it here in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. If anyone knows me, you would realize my first places to visit. I flew in on Tuesday at 12pm. I got my car and I was on my way. My first stop was Char Hut. This place is the . The BEST hamburgers in the world. Onion rings are to die for. Folks if you every get over to my neck of the woods in Bahamas, you will only find Wendy’s Burger King and McDonalds. So my love of hamburgers is not filled. Then kids the next day I had the best large cup of decaf coffee in the world. Dunkin Donuts. Hey we have them over there but. Okay, I will tell you a little store about my first time ordering a decaf from our DD. I ask for an extra large Decaf and I watch this take a cup and then pour water into it and then put it in the micro wave. I asked what are you doing? She said making your coffee. I then ask what it was. She pulled out a small pack that had Sanka on it. I just said okay and got the cup, tasted it and through it out. So we really don’t have their kind of coffee over there. Starbucks yes but that is not DD

By looking at the note about my first things I wanted, shows you how we can think and even plan our time some where and by His grace it happens. I wish I did this more with my time with Him. The really beautiful thing about Him is he knows even before I think it. That is the love He has for all of us. I will be here until June 20th. I hope to keep you all inform on all that is happening here.

By HIS Grace you shall be saved.

Duct Tape or Nails
A man dies and goes to heaven.
Of course, St. Peter meets him at the Pearly Gates.
St. Peter says, "Here's how it works.
You need 100 points to make it into heaven
You tell me all the good things you've done, and I give you a certain number of points for each item, depending on how good it was.
When you reach 100 points, you get in."
"Okay," the man says,
"I was married to the same woman for 50 years and never cheated on her, even in my heart."
"That's wonderful," says St.Peter, "that's worth three points!"
"Three points?" he says.
"Well, I attended church all my life and supported its ministry with my tithe and service."
"Terrific!" says St. Peter. "That's certainly worth a point."
"One point!?!!"
"I started a soup kitchen in my city and worked in a shelter for homeless veterans."
"Fantastic, that's good for two more points," he says.
"Two points!?!! "Exasperated, the man cries.
"At this rate the only way I'll get into heaven is by the grace of God."
"Bingo, 100 points! Come on in!"
We often try to fix problems with WD-40 and duct tape.
God did it with nails
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 2:9 NIV

This a long one but, it is worth checking it out.

Those Born 1930-1979
READ TO THE BOTTOM FOR QUOTE OF THE MONTH BY JAY LENO. IF YOU DON'T READ ANYTHING ELSE---VERY WELL STATED
TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED the 1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's!!
First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant.
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes.
Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints.
We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking.
As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster seats, seat belts or air bags.
Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat.
We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.
We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.
We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank Kool-aid made with sugar, but we weren't overweight because,
WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!
We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.
No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.
We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.
We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no personal computer! s, no Internet or chat rooms.......
WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!
We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents.
We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.
We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.
We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them!
Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!
The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!
These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever!
The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.
We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!
If YOU are one of them...CONGRATULATIONS!
You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good.
While you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave (and lucky) their parents were.
Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it.

The quote of the month is by Jay Leno:
"With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?"
For those that prefer to think that God is not watching over us...go ahead and delete this

It is that time of the year, VACTATION

During June 12 to the 20th I will be in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I am really looking forward in the time to just chill. This is the one of my times to get back over there and even do some shopping. Folks I really have been having a good time over here doing maintenance. Everyday there is something else to fix. That what makes the ministry exciting. Just like today I need to work on our train. The hitch is ed and if I don’t fix it today it will just get worse. It is funny how that work out. You think about how people believe in evolution hey think things get fixed in time. But I am sorry to say that really doesn’t happen. I will be on my computer during that time there. So if you have any questions or just want to stop bye to say hello. My e mail address is toms@alcbahamas.org I would love to hear or even see you while in town. So please pass it on about my stay there for 8 days.

This is called the Office Praise, I received this from a friend here in the Bahamas.

O-Oh Lord, help me not cuss anybody out today
F-Freeze my tongue, if somebody gets in my way
F-Fill me with your grace, so that I might stay cool
I-I'm trying to do right, but I ain't nobody's fool
C-Cause me to humble myself, before I get fired
E-Even a saint like me sometimes gets tired

P-Praise your name, because you've saved me, many times before
R-Rise up in me before I get in the door
A-All Mighty One, you know I need you close
I-Inspire me to be kind, if not to all, to most
S-Show me how to be an example of your love, not
E-Even me Lord, I hope it's not too late
"Today I ask God to meet me at the office door, and sit with me all day"
"To be wronged is nothing unless you continue to remember it."

Our truck, Kia. I know it has not run for almost a year now. But one of these days we need to get it fixed.

Inside of the cottage( storage)

Just stopping bye to say hello,

You might not believe this, but our neighbors have visited our Camp now. They decided they didn't like the way the windows in our Kai were. So they made some changes and to me I am very sick to see all they have done. I guess during their visit they needed to go into our Cottage, (storage) and do some shopping around. All they did in there was move things around and just make a mess. People we need your prayers and if you might have ideas on how to stop these visit. I would love to hear your plains. We have been looking at cameras and other things to watch them act out their deeds. I just don't understand why they think they can just do anything and not pay. We all know that our Lord is watching and He is keeping track of these things. So I know at the end of their lives He will deal with them. For now I just would like to have some peace on all that is going on. I know prayer works and we just need to trust in Him on all things. Like the Taurus, remember how they destroyed that? Well let us just give to our Lord and look for His wisdom and we will see His glory at the end. Take care and I pray all is well with you.

I had a opportunity to help out my cousin.

It has been a while since I have trimmed and cleaned out her gutters too.  Oh, the reason I am here now is because Jeanne and her sisters pl...
