The cost sometimes

The pictures you see below are of drilling out 9 holes to repair the Camp fence. Just to share a little story. Last week, Tim and I used the John Deere to clear out the old cement and rocks along the Camp fence that was distored a couple of weeks ago. During that time we blew a hole in a hyd hose, (back hoe)I went down and had a new hose made, cost $87.00. So then Tuesday I got it all back together. Runs great. That afternoon I hooked up the drill on it. Tried it out, one of the two small hoses that control; the drill head blew. I went down and got four new fittings. Instead of hoses I am using fitting. Cost was $89.00 plus had to buy Hyd oil too, $72.00. Never will blow again. It ran great again. Driving over to the Camp the motor dead. Dirty fuel, cleaned it out and filed the tank. Runs again. Got to the Camp and drilled out 9 holes. Done. So sometimes using old machines can be a pain. But in the end I don't have any sore hands from digging the holes plus they are deep enough. Today Ed and Harri will be putting cement in the holes to hold the poles up. I need to go get feed and things for next week work list.

Old Faithful, John Deere came through yesterday

It sure good to be back in the loop

Yes I had a chance yesterday to pick up and drop off the children. In the morning I picked up 15 children at a Pre K school down town. On the way back to the Centre we sang songs and just had a nice time. Now during their time here they stayed at the Centre and had a good time with our staff.
Meanwhile Tim and I went down to the Camp and started tearing down the fence that was destroyed a couple of weeks ago. I am so happy to see how much we did. But during the time doing it, the John Deere decided to spring a leak. Yes the hoses are dry rotten. So the middle hose for the back bucket blew a hole.
Okay now at 1:30pm I had to take the kids back to their schools. So while gone. Tim kept on working. He is the one that pulled out all the old poles and got the fence back to where it is now. I am so blessed to have help like Tim. He is the one that did most of the hard work. When I got back we cleared the rocks out and now ready to get the poles in Friday, So Harri I pray you are ready and willing to get this job done? God willing. Today I need to get the hose repaired and put on the drill head and making sure it works.

This is what happen yesterday.

This prayer is one we all can use today to HIM

Prayer: Gracious God. Thank You for being willing to hear and answer my prayers. But I confess that sometimes I pray without thinking about Your glory or desiring Your will to be done, seeking to impose my timetable on Your purposes. Please forgive my selfishness and impatience, and my frustration when You don't answer according to my demands. Thank You for today's reminder that You want to answer my prayers, and to strengthen my faith as You reveal Your kindness and power, because You are my loving Heavenly Father. Help me to align my heart to Your will and renew my confidence in Your love for me. Dear Lord, teach me to pray boldly for Your glory's sake and that I might enlarge my joy of being Your child. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

This is to all Americans, Social Security Checks

READ THIS ABOUT OUR SS CHECKS

We need to keep this fresh in everyone's mind till Nov. The Obama crew thinks we will forget about it by Nov. Let's prove them wrong.

*THIS IS THE ONE THAT WILL FLIP YOU OUT!!** **

THE SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION IS FUNDING TWENTY FOUR MILLION DOLLARS--LET ME REPEAT THAT AMOUNT...*

SO YOU UNDERSTAND IT $ 24,000,000.00 DOLLARS FOR NEW ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS PROCESSING FOR OUR CONGRESSMEN** AND SENATORS !!**

THEY ARE OBTAINING THESE FUNDS*

*And*

I QUOTE DIRECTLY FROM THE SOCIAL SECURITY WEBSITE...
"THIS MONEY WILL BE COMING FROM THE SAVINGS TO BE GENERATED FROM WITHHOLDING "COST OF LIVING INCREASES FOR 2010 & 2011 In SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS FOR THE ELDERLY AND A $2.00 INCREASE ON ALL MEDICARE RX BENEFIT CO-PAY"

Please pass this to ALL your friends and have them

"PROTEST TO THE IDIOTS WE ELECTED TO CONGRESS"

Who by the way, have just voted themselves ANOTHER 3% SALARY INCREASE!!!

We must put a stop to this outright thievery!

It is THE CONGRESS AND THE SENATE, BOTH REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRATS, WE CAN'T FIRE THEM, BUT WE SURE CAN NOT RE-ELECT THEM, And WE CAN IMPEACH THEM* Or DEMAND RECALL ELECTIONS !!!

HOW ABOUT WE ALL GET TOGETHER AND DUMP THESE CLOWNS.
All I ask is that you consider the suggestion here. The entire Congress of the United States is corrupt. And I mean both Houses and I mean both major parties. I realize that a few members of each House are trustworthy,*

But as a group, they are absolutely the most corrupt bunch yo ever disgrace our Nation.

In November of 2010, the entire House of Representatives will stand for re-election; All 435 of them.

One-third of the Senate, a total of 33 of them, will also stand for re-election.

Vote every incumbent out. And I mean every one of them.
No matter their Party affiliation.

Let's start all over in the House of Representatives with 435 people who have absolutely no experience in running that body, with no political favors owed to anyone but their own constituents.

Let's make them understand that they work for us... They are answerable to us. And they simply have to run that body with some common sense.

Two years later, in 2012, vote the next third of the incumbents in the Senate out. We can do the same thing in 2014 and, by that time we will have put all new people in that body as well.

We, the People, have got to take this Country back and we have to do it peacefully. That's what the Framers of our Constitution envisioned.

I am also suggesting term limits on the NEW BUNCH: 8 YEARS FOR REPRESENTATIVES AND 12 YEARS OF SENATORS. NO EXCEPTIONS.

THE LONGER THEY STAY IN OFFICE THE MORE POWER THEY GET AND THEY LOVE IT AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET RE-ELECTED. WE HAVE TERM-LIMITED THE PRESIDENT.
NOW, LET'S TERM-LIMIT THE LEGISLATORS

Please, if you love this country, send this (as I have done) to absolutely everyone whose email address appears in your address book. This thing can permeate this Country in no time.

Let's make it happen.

VOTE THE POWER ABUSERS OUT...LET'S TAKE AMERICA BACK!!!

IF YOU LIKE THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING IN OUR COUNTRY, THEN DO NOTHING.

Twinkies and Root Beer

A little boy wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with Twinkies and a six-pack of Root Beer and he started his journey.

When he had gone about three blocks, he met an elderly man. The man was sitting in the park just feeding some pigeons.

The boy sat down next to him and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the man looked hungry, so he offered him a Twinkie.

The man gratefully accepted it and smiled at boy. His smile was so pleasant that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered him a root beer.

Again, the man smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word.

As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave, but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the man, and gave him a hug. The man gave him his biggest smile ever.

When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, "What did you do today that made you so happy?

"He replied, "I had lunch with God." But before his mother could respond, he added, "You know what? God's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!"

Meanwhile, the elderly man, also radiant with joy, returned to his home. His son was stunned by the look of peace on his face and he asked," Dad, what did you do today that made you so happy?"

He replied, "I ate Twinkies in the park with God." However, before his son responded, he added," You know, he's much younger than I expected."

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Embrace all equally!

Please read this and pass it on.

When I worked in the parts dept for Chrysler/Jeep the Repo man would hand me a list from the bank
of Vin #s and I could make all the keys for any of the cars.
Hand held device set the #s buy the code in the book and punch out a brand new never used
key for that car..Mike

SUBJECT: VIN NUMBER - WARNING !

Here is INFO worth the price of your car....

WHAT WILL the car thieves THINK OF NEXT?

The car thieves peer through the

windshield of your car or vehicle,

write down the VIN # from the label on the dash, go to the local car dealership and request a duplicate key based on the VIN #.

I didn't believe this e-mail, so I called Chrysler-Dodge and pretended I had lost my keys. They told me to just bring in the VIN #, and they would cut me one on the spot, and I could order the keyless device if I wanted.

The Car Dealer's Parts Department will make a duplicate key from the VIN #, and collect payment from the thief who will return to your car.

He doesn't have to break in, do any damage to the vehicle, or draw attention to himself. All he has to do is walk up to your car, insert the key and off he goes to a local chop shop with your vehicle.

You don't believe it?

It IS that EASY.

To avoid this from happening to you, simply put some dark tape (electrical tape, duct tape or medical tape) across the VIN Number Metal Label located on the dashboard.

By law, you cannot remove the VIN, but you CAN cover it so it can't be viewed through the windshield by a car thief.

I urge you to forward this to your friends before some other car thief steals another car or truck.

I slipped a 3x5 card over my VIN

NUMBER.

PASS THIS INFORMATION ON TO ALL YOUR FAMILY AND

FRIENDS!!!!

Yesterday we had a chance to bless a single mom.

By His grace we can call this place blessed.

I have written about this before, how I look and say thank you LORD. I was talking with a couple of staff about different things that need some help or repair. The dinning hall's roof at the Camp is not doing to well. Tim looked at a couple of weeks ago and said, this needs replace as soon as possible. Then Sean ask to be able to move the turkeys to the front where Joey use to live. That needs a new roof too. The gazebo needs a new roof. Hey is there any one out there that would like to donate some money for theses three areas that really need help? Not sure what the cost is on them, but I know as I speak to Mark about them. He said not at this time.
Looking down this page you can see other items that are needed too. The train is up and running, but by looking at the under carriage you can see, she really needs a new one.
Folks all I can do is ask and that is what I am doing. I know pretty much every one out there is having money troubles. I totally understand, but I do know someone out there that has a heart to help is out there too. So like I said all I can do is ask and see what happens next. I am still blessed to be part of this place and today I will do my best to fix something else. That is why I am here and will be here until He calls me out or His return. (Jesus Christ)
So if you would like to help or know someone that has a heart for helping, please e mail and I would love to share more. toms@alcbahamas.org

Another dawn a breaking, yes train is up and running

My God is GOOD

By looking at the pictures below. You can see we have some problems. The bottom is rusted out. This train is held together by HIS HANDS. Just look at all that rust!
Okay now yesterday I took the two rear tyres off. (had a flat) I saw how there is really no way I can reuse this this rim. I took it down to a tyre shop, they laugh and said you want to do WHAT? I asked them to replace the tube inside? Ended up with, it will not make it. I talked with a couple guys there. One said try Jeitly. That is the buses they use here on the islands for their bus service. I stopped by a shop I knew of. The guy handed me a rim and said may it work. Now today I will try to make it work. I will need to cut out the middle hole and then weld in the small holes and redrilled them.
I will show you tomorrow what I need to do.
Now if you know any one out there that has a train they would like to give to us. Please e mail me at toms@alcbahamas.org
I would love to see what He has planned out for this poor ting.

Yes we NEED a TRAIN

Today is my last day in town here.

It is a bitter, sweet day. I am looking froward in going back to my home in the Bahamas. But it really was a good trip here in Florida. I saw family and friends and just reconnected.
The first picture is Luz and Leson weding, at Calvary Chapel Ft Laud. on Sunday after noon. Real nice turn out and just seeing how Patmos has done so much in these kids lives. Plus to see God's children coming to be wittiness to a good couple of marriage.
Next is Felecia and Tim, they live in the Bahamas too. Both of them work at the All Saints Camp. Which is right down the road of our place. On Tuesdays they both come over and help us out at the ALC. The place we are front of is called The Upper Room. Robin and her hubby Mark run this art shop. I am sorry that they were closed on Labor Day. Oh well next time.
The next one is looking down LasOles street. This place was dead.
Now you are looking down the place called New River. I remember walking along this area many times before, while living right down the road from here. It still looks great.
The last picture is the Good Year Blip. I saw it one day while driving around, but not this day. It is the Blip that they use for the foot ball and base ball games that are played on TV.
Folks I know there are so many folks I didn't see this time.
PLUS my e mail has not BEEN WORKING SINCE FRIDAY MORNING. I am sorry I have tried and tried. Today I will drive over to Calvary and see if I can see someone there that might be able to help me out.

Busy week-end. Labor Day too.

Well vactation has been so good.

Like I told you before, this trip is all about family and just getting caught up with them. I found where Bonita works, by His grace. Read the story below. Not knowing even where to look for her. I have not seen her for many years and have not been to Winter Haven the same amount of time. I serve mighty God. He is always listening and wanting to help us. But we try to do our own ting.
I got to her home and she was not home. So I drove around and just checked out things around the area. I left note on her door. I drove back to her house and she just walked in. We stayed up and just talked and watch a couple of shows. She loves the show called Big Brother. Told her all that has been going in my live and she did too. Got up the next morning and went to Denny's for breakfast and I took her to work and we parted. I really hope and pray we will stay in touch. She doesn't have a computer. She has been told by a friend that she will get one soon.
Now I left there and called my cuz, Greg. I could not get a hold of him. House phone was busy and cell, got answering machine. So I started driving towards where he lives. I got on route 4 and started my way. I tried to call and left messages. But when I got near the turn pike. I called again. Started back to Fort lauderdale. I drove back here and didn't have a chance to see him and his family. That is okay. I know there is a lot of things going on in his life and sometimes later on we will see each other.
You can see how the weather was coming back. Boy did it rain????? I am back in Fort lauderdale, Fl. I will be here until Sept 7th. (Tuesday) I fly back to my home in the Bahamas.
Just a note,PLEASE IF YOU HAVE NOT TALKED WITH FAMILY FOR A WHILE. PLEASE TRY UNTIL YOU DO. YOU JUST DON'T KNOW HOW LONG YOU WILL BE LEFT ON THIS EARTH. JUST LOOK AROUND HOW PEOPLE YOU HAVE KNOWN ARE PASSING.

This young lady is my cuz, Bonita Schafer

Really was a over cast day.

Made to Clearwater and now in Winter Haven

Came in on Wednesday and spent the that day together with Deb and her hubby Jon. We went to a real nice place to have lunch and then just sat around and talked and just to reconnection. Then went over to my cuz, apartment Mark. Sat there and enjoyed some good talking. Then went to another place to eat some dinner. Mark is the manager of the Great Western in Dunee, Fl. Deb and Jon had a large room and I got the kid's room. Which was great. Sleep on this huge bed and sleep like a baby. mark had to work that night, so we all went out for breakfast at the motel. The meal was free, because of Mark, but we saw what the bill would have been. For the four of us, was $55.00. I was so happy to know that is was free. That was such a good time to see them and get caught up and then I left for my next place to visit.
Drove to Clearmont, Fl. This where our uncle Bernie lives. This place was beautiful and he looked great too. I am sorry but Mary didn't want me to take her picture. The reason was her hair was not fitted. But uncle Bernie was in good spirit and just came back on differ talks. I asked if I could take his picture, he told me it would cost me $25.00. I told him okay, but after I took the picture he said that is okay. Don't worry about it.
Then neat God story.
I am using a GPS. Dennis let me use it while driving up here. It sure was a easy trip. Okay now I drove into Winter Haven, ask God where now? I saw a parking space and parked right there. Got out of my car. Walked a little while and asked again, where? Look at the picture you can see where I parked and where the shop was. Two stores down and there was a corner. I looked and saw this small shop. Haircut Naturally. I walked in and ask a guy sitting on this sofa. Do you know Bonita? He said she just left. Then I found out Chuck her ex hubby works there too. I walked over to him and I just said WOW. I asked him her address, he told me and I set the GPS and I was there in 10 minutes. I spent the night here and just had time to see all that has been going on in her life. We are going out for breakfast and I am going to try to see her brother Greg next.
I am so glad that I took this time to see them and I will let you know what happens next.

I got over here in Clearwater,

Jeanne saw this place and had to stop.
