February is gone as of today.

It just blows my mind each day it seems to be flies bye. It was our Singles get together last night, up in the Barn (ALC) We had a full house there. Veda is the one that pretty much put this all together. We had two couples come in and share about their own life trails and joys. This last month was Valentine, love month. So Veda thought it would nice to hear about couples that have been down the road. You know about the dating and then marriage then children. Plus how to do it right.
The first couple was Mark and Kim Wallace. They have been married now for 5 years and have a little boy named Adam, (14 months old). They just told us like it is, we all believe one of these days we will be married to Mr or Mrs right. Which it does happen. But during the time of waiting is the time to get your own life in in order and be content with it. Then the time will be up to Him to have it happen. Mark just shared how long he waited and how he ask for prayer and seek our Lord Jesus Christ. Which this is the way He wants us to all be.
Then the next couple (sorry not sure of names) came up and shared about how they have been toghter now for 14 years, with a blended family. This means having a child with another spouse. Plus they shared about how he is pretty much on the sea for two or three weeks at a time, Away from the wife and kids. You can just think how hard it is to raise a family when you are together each night, this couple did it with the help of other family members and friends they had to encouraged. Like I said they have been married now 14 years and still going strong. They have had troubles and problems, but by our Lord Jesus Christ at the helm they push forward each day and bring glory to His name and today they can stand knowing it was by His strenghten, NOT THEIRS.
So I believe pretty much every one there last night was blessed and knowing that we as believers need to focus on Him and then relationship. That way it will be His works not ours. I thank every one for coming out last night and I pray that you were as blessed with all we did, as I was.

Last night was our Single's night out.

Wednesday, February 24, 2010

Hey it is Wednesday all ready.

Yes I have been back home now one week and I am loving every minute. When I got back, I looked around around and pretty much every thing was still running. To bring Glory to His name, I know it was His doing.
Okay now while here have had the chance to give some the of the students, from CCA. Some jobs. They did great yesterday. The jobs were to prime and paint some boards. Then I had two other, put up fencing around the sheep pen. So things are still moving forward, by His grace and His helping hands (CCA).
What has been happening in my life? Well I can tell you this, I am still a sinner and there is still so much more for Him to work though me and out of me. You know I was gone one month, I really thought He did some great work in my life, but to find out I have so much more that needs help. Looking back during that time, I was so blessed and refreshed. If you have not taken a vacation in a while, please do so. You will come back and have a totally different out look and He will bless your time too. All I can say is when you do it, do it to bring your self closer to Him and He will be right along side of you.

Wrestling With God, Streams In The Desert

"And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day" (Gen. 32:24).
God is wrestling with Jacob more than Jacob is wrestling with God. It was the Son of man, the Angel of the Covenant. It was God in human form pressing down and pressing out the old Jacob life; and ere the morning broke, God had prevailed and Jacob fell with his thigh dislocated. But as he fell, he fell into the arms of God, and there he clung and wrestled, too, until the blessing came; and the new life was born and he arose from the earthly to the heavenly, the human to the divine, the natural to the supernatural. And as he went forth that morning he was a weak and broken man, but God was there instead; and the heavenly voice proclaimed, "Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel; for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed." Beloved, this must ever be a typical scene in every transformed life. There comes a crisis-hour to each of us, if God has called us to the highest and best, when all resources fail; when we face either ruin or something higher than we ever dreamed; when we must have infinite help from God and yet, ere we can have it, we must let something go; we must surrender completely; we must cease from our own wisdom. strength, and righteousness, and become crucified with Christ and alive in Him. God knows how to lead us up to this crisis, and He knows how to lead us through.
Is He leading you thus? Is this the meaning of your deep trial, or your difficult surroundings, or that impossible situation. or that trying place through which you cannot go without Him, and yet you have not enough of Him to give you the victory? Oh, turn to Jacob's God! Cast yourself helplessly at His feet. Die to your strength and wisdom in His loving arms and rise, like Jacob, into His strength and all-sufficiency. There is no way out of your hard and narrow place but at the top. You must get deliverance by rising higher and coming into a new experience with God. Oh, may it bring you into all that is meant by the revelation of the Mighty One of Jacob!--But God

"At Thy feet I fall,
Yield Thee Up My ALL,
To suffer LIVE, OR DIE
For my Lord crucified."

It might sound strange, But it is 59 outside

That is correct, 59 is the temp this morning. I can tell you this, I am so glad to be back home. Not just because the temp. It is because Wednesday night and yesterday morning. See my friends here at Calvary Bible. Wednesday night I walked in and felt the love of my people here. Pretty much every one gave me a hug and it felt good. Then yesterday morning at the Men's Study was the same. Hugs after hug. Folks if you are part of a church any where, you should feel that love at that place where you worship, when you have been missing for a while. I have the same feeling for, them too. I really did miss them as much or even more than they did. All I know is I have been blessed for my friends here and I really not sure why? I do know my Lord Jesus Christ is the main reason. If you love Him they will see that and want what He has given to you. I am talking about the love we should have for each other, in 1 Corinthians 13. This chapter is named Love is the Greatest. Please if you have not read this in a while, please do so. I really think you will walk away knowing more about the Word of love and what is really does mean. This is the last verse in this chapter, 13. (13)There are three things that will endure- faith, hope and love- and the greatest of these is LOVE. I have been studying God's Word over the years and reading this is something we all need to understand. While reading this chapter, look at how many times Paul said, BUT if I have not loved, what good is all the works I (you) do. Love puts everything into the right reason for doing what I(we) do.
If you have writen to me since I got back here, Group wise has not been working for me. (e mail address). Hope to get it fixed by tomorrow.

About the book

If you want to see the questions it ask you, just double click on them and then you can read them. This book is dealing with habits or sins you might have had in your lives for many years. I know I sure have not master that at all. All I know is God is a forgiving God and He loves us so much more than we will ever know. Until we see him face to face, then we will see and hear His voice. I just love to share with you all that has been going on in my life. But at this time I just want you all to be encouraged and try to understand His love and His ways He is will not forsake us. Call out to Him today and He will listen and answer your prayers, in His time.

This is the last book I read while in Charlotte, NC

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

Well my friends and family it is Feb. 17th to to fly back home.

It is so neat to be able to walk away from this place knowing that my Lord has spoke volumes to me. Like I told you before how when I got here I rested a couple of days and then, ready to do some work. God spoke to me and said Martha, read Luke 10:38 to 42.
Then last night just laying in bed and had the radio on and this guy comes on and reads Luke 10:38 to 42 then goes to John 12:1 to 11. These verses are both about Martha and Mary. Folks I have been Mary since that day and boy I sure can tell you this. I am rested and ready for going back to my home in the Bahamas. I fly out at 1:15pm and fly straight to Nassau get there at 3;33pm. So Faye and Bob I hope you get this before I leave.
Let me tell about some of these people. Richard and his wife Lydia have been great hosts. Richard is the one that set this all up for me to come and stay here. If you look back at all I have done while here is because Richard opened this home to me and I have been very blessed and rested because of his gift to me. I want to say thank you to ALL OF MY NEW FAMILY HERE AT CARMEL HILLS, NC.
Then looking down these are the two ladies that played their hearts out for us every evening so we could sing our Lord's songs. Last night they declared the songs to me and the last one was. God Be With You. The song is about God be with you till we meet again. What a beautiful song to leave with. Because we will be meeting again, maybe not here on earth but while our way up to the Heavens, when Jesus Christ comes for us.
Then the last picture is of the ladies just enjoying a card game, now I didn't see any money on the table, so I guess they were gambling. JUST JOKING.
So at this time I am saying good bye to my family here and ready to get back to my family in the Bahamas. Talk with you soon.

These are some specil people I have meet here at Carmel Hills

This is our Valantines Day party, Saturday night

Remember I asked about this law before.

This is the place where my brother took me Friday afternoon

Okay I can sit here and get you al up to date.

Our time together was very nice. Paul and I went to the museum and he showed me around there. Back in the 60's Paul was in the service, at Fort Bragg, NC. That is why he lives there now. While in the service he was part of a unit 504 AA. 82 divion. He was in the parcnute infantry. His group was called the Devil In Baggy Pants. Paul was very helpful in walking around showing me this and that. The pictures above show some of the things we saw there.
The neat ting was back in the 40's just before World War Two started. Our men were working on a part of the Army that would be able to send men up in a plane and push them out and they would land some what where they wanted to. Like I said they where woring on this and in 48 days they have got it somewhat worked out and the men were ready to go to war. Like I said before in the 60's Paul was in there. By talking he really didn't enjoy it. But he sure loved jumping out of a perfectly good plane. Hey even watching the opening on the World Olympics Paul saw the kid flowing back and forth on the sting and he said he would love to try that. We walked around and I took some pictures and just enjoy the company. The next day I got up and there was this ting called snow on the ground again. It really was pretty. I spent some more time with them and left there around 1:30pm. Got back to my home here in Charlotte, NC. I will tell you about all we did here when I got back. It was a Valitime Party.

See I really do have a brother, this is Lyn and Paul

I have made it to my brothers house.

Yesterday I had a chance to rent a car from Alamo. I got this rate on line. It was $12.99 plus tax each day. So for four days it is only $85.00. The trip here to Fayettivile,NC. was so nice. The roads and the sky line was beautiful. It took me 3 hours to get here. But like I said the ride was so nice. Just driving on the correct side of the road, I had Christians music on and enjoy the ride. I got here and my brother was walking out of his door, I came up to him and gave him a big hug. I backed up and he looked at me and said I thought you were a carpenter that was coming to check out something for him. He looked and said is that you Tom? It you guys know me, I wear this bandana on my head to protect it. I have been wearing them since I use to work where I had to wear a hard hat. Plus to keep my chrome dome warm while here. I have shaved my head and chance to color of my bread too. So I can understand why he did know know me. He has not seen me since my dad's funeral. 2002.
Okay last night we had a great dinner and had a guest too. Her name is Janice. (Ithink) She has been their friend for over 20 years. We sat around and tried to get caught up a little. It really was a nice time and I really am looking forward in finding out more about my brother and his family. Today Paul, and I are going to Museum. This way we can walk and talk and just get to know each other. Paul is a step brother. Okay, let me start. Paul is from my dad's first wife. Then I was born from my mom,(Ellen). Then my dad got married again, after my mom passed back in 1966. So now maybe you can understand how we ever did get to know each other, growing up.

Looking down on this day and can see I had some spare time.

The song sheets you see next are a couple of songs that we sang last night before dinner. I am so blessed to just sit back and sing songs and just have fellow ship each day and night here. If you can look at the one song,it talks about where is my home? Everyday I thank my Lord for knowing where my home is after being on this earth. My question for you is. Do you know where your home will be?
If you double click on the pictures you can see the words and understand what it is talking about.
The picture of Bob, this guy is telling jokes all day long. If not that he is helping out where ever needed. He goes to the Care Unit each day and reads them stories and during the week-end he does a devotion with them.
Then Henry and Marie, Henry is the one I use to walk with each morning after coffee. We have not done that for a while, reason the cold weather and raining and snow, you get the picture.
Well as it stand tonight I will drive to my brother;s home tomorrow morning and get there around 2pm or so. I called him tonight to make sure all is well. Sure he said, come on down. Plus he told me that he will not be going out of town this week-end. Most week-ends he does shows at different malls. He sells old stuff (Antq). Plus other items.

This place is a praise and worship evrey day here

Say hi to Bob

Now my only problem is I will drive to my brother's home and then Friday morning going to try to drive up to Baltimore, MD. This is where a good old Friend of mine since 7 years old lives. Hey GUYS it is almost Valitines Day

Yes the 14th is right around the corner. Please if you have not bought that special gift. You better get your butt out there and buy it.
Tonight here at the Carmel Hills. The guys got together and patience singing some old love songs. It really was neat to hear and even sing these song. The list is below and I know there are some out there that have never heard of these songs. The sad part is they really do mean something to the one you love.
1) On Top of Old Smokey
2) On Top of Spaghetti
3) I've Been Working On The Rail-Road
4) By The Light Of The silvery Moon.
5) That Doggie In The Window
6) Let Me Call You Sweet Heart.
7) Clemin Time.
They will be singing these Saturday night here.
Now I will see if I will be here then or not. I am planning on renting a car Thursday morning and driving to Fayittvile, NC. This is where my brother (Paul) lives. Then I am praying about leaving his home and driving up to Baltimore,MD. Now if you have been watching the weather they just got slammed with 24 in of snow. They are still digging out as I speak. So we will see how it looks. I was told today that they are going be be hit again by the worst snow storm ever.

This is Captain Bruce and Marie.

Yesterday I had a great day to travel to Captain Bruce's home

Yes, we Marie and I drove for about two hours to Captain Bruce's home. It really was a nice day to take a drive. The roads are clear and the traffic was not to bad. There sure were a lot State Police out along the road side. Hey Marie was telling me that there is a law or something like it to say, when you see a police car on the side with it's lights flashing. You need to pull over to the out side lane, or slow down to go pass them. I have not heard about this law. But it sure sounds like a good one.
Another thing I saw was the price of gas. In our area, Charlotte, it going for $2.75 a gallon. In South Caroline, it was down to $2.39. Wow that to me a big differences.
We got to Bruce's home and unloaded the boxes that we were dropping off for Billy. While there Bruce invited us in to show us around. He was telling us that this house has been in their family now for over 160 years. That is so neat to see how he has been doing work on it since they moved there a while back. He was telling us how they try to rebuild something new each year. They sure have a beautiful place. Plus he was telling me that they have 60 acres. It really was a neat place.
Let me tell you a little about Captain Bruce, he has been helping people out for many years with bring things over to the ALC plus other people. His main thing is to take kids or families or what ever to the Islands and give them a great time of fishing and doing any thing you want on a boat, you can do. He does share the Gospel. He loves the Lord so much. This is his web site. So please check it out and see all you might want to do. Maybe you too can take a trip with him.

Yes I see that the Saints won yesterday.

It is so funny how we look at teams and say this one is blessed and this one is cursed. I really not sure what is going on in the sports world any more. All I know is what I read about in the paper. I saw this morning paper, Saints WON. I didn't see the game or even miss it. But I do know there are plenty of people out there feel the win or the lost, depending on who's team you are for.
I know the main team that I look forward to is our Lord Jesus Christ. I know His team is the winning one everyday and moment on this earth. I thank Him each day for that and just to be able to pass this on to others is a blessing for me. I thank each and every one out there that has been praying for me and my time here. I have had the best times with Him. I just finished reading my third book. That right I have been reading. I know these books are not 300 pages long, but they are enough for me to read and walk away knowing more about how other Christians feel about different subjects. I will be going back down in the cellar where the books are on shelves.

These are just a couple of picture and placts

This is Connelly and Ricky Food service here

It is Saturday morning,

Yes I have something more to share with you. I have been reading this book called On Being A servant of God By Warren W. Wiersbe. I have gotten to chapter #21
This chapter is dealing with the joy in serving Jesus Christ our Lord. I have just one area I will abound on. No matter what kind of Christan service God has called you to, it's a PRIVILEGE to be in ministry and to serve Jesus Christ. In some ways, it's the hardest work in the world: but in many ways, it;s the happiest work in the world. Yes,it has its tears and trails, but it also has its JOYS and triumphs:and the best is yet to come!
Let me close with the joy of knowing that your service for Christ will last eternally: He who does the service for God abides forever, (1 John 2:17) Most of the people you meet day after day are either wasting their lives or merely spending their lives, but God's servant have the privilege of investing their lives in what is eternal. the oft-quoted words of Jim Elliot say it perfectly: he is no fool to give what he can not keep to gain what he can not lose.

Yesterday morning, I had a chance to share here at Carmel Hills

My Lord is so good to me. Wednesday night Henry asked me it I could do the devotion (is time to just reflex on what God has been doing in my life lately) the next morning. I was honored. These people really don't know me and like I said it was nice that they asked me. I went home after talking with Henry. I asked, what would YOU like for me to share, Lord? I remember a couple of days before I was looking for a verses on Martha and Mary. I went to my Bible and I found it.
Luke 10:38 to 42.
As Jesus and his disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a village where a woman named Martha welcomed them into her home.(39) Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord's feet, listening to what he taught. (40) But Martha was worrying over the big dinner she was preparing.
Okay this is where I came in and said that I am (Tom) is Martha. That right, I have a had trouble looking around and saying pretty much the same thing. How come they are not working? Okay now this is where Our Lord has spoken to me about this. Martha came to Jesus and said, Lord doesn't it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here and while I DO ALL THE WORK? Tell her to come and help me.
This is why I am here, to be a MARY not Martha. Remember what I was talking about yesterday? BUSY B-being,U-under,S-Satan,Y-yoke.
(41) But the Lord said to her,(Martha, My dear Martha you are so upset over all these details! (42) There is really only one thing worth being concerned about, Mary has discovered it and I won't take it away from her.
So my time to share with them was a real time for the Lord to share with me.

Thursday, February 04, 2010

Just want to say hello.

During these last three days I have been doing a lot of praying and just trying to get in touch of our Lord Jesus Christ. It sure has been a good time. I know a lot of you out there really don't understand what I am trying to tell you. But let me try.
I came here to Charlotte, NC to get closer to my Lord Jesus Christ. But sad part is I started to do that BUSY ting. B- bing U- under S- Satan Y- yoke. I want to help here and there and just do helps. But by Monday night I had it. I was talking with Olivia and I was telling her how I was feeling. I was not a happy camper. I was becoming bitter and I was taking it out on her. She listen and just told me that it was Satan trying to get to me. We prayed and said good night. I got back to my apartment and started asking LORD what is going on???? I had read some verses in the Bible but still no comfort. I went to sleep and woke up around 11pm and read some more. I read Isaiah 61:1 to 4. These verses I have study back during a another bad time of my life. These verse talk to me of The Lord is upon me because He has appointed me to bring good news to the poor. If you get a chance please read it all. It will help you understand why I am here. He has called me,I know that but this is my time to reflex on His Word and BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD. Psalms46:10
These verses are all around this place and He is talking to me.

This is a couple I sit with at dinner time. Jean/Joe Claar

It is Monday morning,

I look outside and see such a beautiful day ahead. The sun is shining and the snow and ice is going away. I was told that the roads are pretty much cleared, the side ones no. By looking at the weather that we will have this week still looks like some cold times ahead.
I have been trying to put pictures on my blog this morning but it has a problem. I will try later on today. Maybe it could be the inter net itself. I noticed it fades in and out sometimes.
Every time I sit here in this chair I see, This is the day the Lord has made REJOICE and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24
This is a verse that rings in my head and I thank Him, Jesus Christ for this.
