This was Friday of last week. Feb.22, Reserve Officer's Training Corps. (ROTC) Ball/Dinner

All right tonight is show time. Jeanne and her crew of students have there night to make some fun and let these kids get a taste of cooking and serving others than just the staff and students of the high school here.

You can see we all are having some fun and just helping each other out too.

I was like the running and set up guy. So coming back from the gym, the floor in one of the hallways was wet. Not knowing I took a nice spill on the floor an broke my flip flops. I know I should have been wearing shoes of some kind. But as I talked about my truck being down. I always have sometime else in the truck like another pair of flip fops or even shoes in there, for emergencies like this one. But I still walked back and forth with a one good flip flop, the other not flipping just flopping.

The student did a wonderful job serving and working together. It really was heartwarming to see how much Jeanne really do love her students an getting them to work together so well.

There were six (6) racks of steaks serve. Folks that is some beautiful steak. Earlier Jeanne and I picked these up at Sam's Club. Weight was 71# and cost was $440.??But at the end all went well.

These are the young ladies that were over seeing the set up and over all making sure all is good.
Laura and my friend Jeanne (Chef Jeanne)

Hey look I was even dressed to serve and do what ever was needed in the kitchen or out in the gym.
At the end pretty much everyone was pooped and not looking forward in cleaning up.
But a few of the students stayed to clean as much as they could. But at the end Jeanne and I didn't leave here until after midnight. Plus there still a lot more to do too.
The next day we went back and cleaned up a little more.
Over all I was very blessed to work along side of her an her students were very nice willing to do what ever was needed to make this evening a success.
All Jeanne and I can say is PRAISE HIM AN BRING GLORY TO HIS NAME.
Now if you have been looking at my blog just before this. Well her mom ended up in the ICU at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center of Fort Pierce.
Well her momma had a couple of operations. Sad part is on Saturday evening she was pulled off life support.
So by His grace the ball for ROTC was finished and Jeanne could spend as much time as she wanted by her momma bedside.
Jeanne is a strong young lady and she knows that her momma is with Jesus Christ as I know I will be too, one day.

This is a job we started on Thursday morning.

We got there and she (Debby) had already started laying the pavers down and putting them in a row.

Had to go pick up 60 more. My poor truck it was a larger load than I thought it would be. But we made it back and unloaded them.

On Friday we came back and helped her finish them up.

I really think it looks great an even her neighbors drove by and said so too.

This is at Larry's house. he wants us to put the old filter out an replace the valve on the main trunk.

With you can see we did it. Oh guess what o my truck. On Thursday night I was pulling out of the school ( helping out a friend) My truck started bucking as I push down on the peddle. Thinking what is going on? So on Friday morning I dropped my truck off at Mark's (Vero Visa Auto Repair) Told him I have a code reader on th truck and 10 zones are going off. He asked to leave it and he will se what is needed, then let me know.

So for the day I used my golf cart to get around. Works great.
Mean while my friend told me to us the truck her truck. So after getting the jobs done for the week. Roy drove me over to her house and picked up the truck, to use.

Mean this evening ahead is going to be a busy one. There is a Reserve Officer's Training Corps. (ROTC)  Ball and dinner this evening.
The Westwood, culinary classes are doing the dinner. I will share pictures tomorrow on how that went.

I know there are many prayer warriors out here.

I have a dear friend that her mom is not doing well at all. She is in grave danger, they took her into OR this morning. Worked on her for 3 hours. They left her stomach open to go back in 24 hours after they see how much of her intestines are viable so they can remove the dead parts. The Dr said she may not make it through the next 24 hours, That during the day she may code. If she does make through, They will go back in and finish the surgery.
Folks I know there are many of my friends and family that look at my blog.
AT THIS TIME I AM ASKING FOR PRAYER FOR MY FRIEND'S MOM (JEANNE)
IT IS MOST CRITICAL AT THIS TIME.
PLEASE PRAY EARNESTLY FOR HER.
I KNOW OUR LORD IN IN CONTROL BUT AS WE HAVE BEEN TOLD MANY TIMES THAT WE HAVE A PART TO PLAY TO. IN PRAYER.
THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. I WILL KEEP YOU ALL POSTED.

Hey folks sorry for not much on blogging.

This is under Ray's bathroom. He lives in the park here too. He was telling me about a soft spot next to the outside wall. So Roy and I went in and felt it. It was really was soft area.

So we pulled back the under pending. And found these two spots. between the studs.

Instead or ripping the flooring up and repairing the correct way. The reason is Ray has sold the house already an not making any money on it at all. Just wants to get out of it and move into his new cement home being built down the road. Hopefully move in in April He asked us to do it with out  much cost.  So I pushed up a piece of 3/4 plywood then fasten two (2) 2x4's under it an screwed in 3" screws to hold it up an support the flooring. Ray and Roy both believe we got it nice an tight and feeling a  lot better.

So we stapled a large garage bag under the insulation. Hey he is happy and that is what counts at the end.
Plus we put under new skirting using the 1" lattice.

All is well and there, and  is another nice easy job to make a few buck.
All that for $125.00.
I know it is on the low size, but I am not a license contractor.
Just a handy man.
Praise HIM and looking forward doing more this next week.

Really have been only doing smaller jobs.

This is my neighbor Jimmy (across street) His girl friend wants a new kitchen faucet. Took the old one out.

The new one is in and she is very happy.
Now her bathroom faucet. Wants a new one, here too.

It really is a challange working on these faucets and how small the area is you need to get into.
But by His grace the old one is out.

All is in and everyone is happy and even looks good too. As being my neighbor Roy and I didn't charge them. Hey I use his latter plus other tools every once an while. So it is a wash.
Hey I am blessed to have good neighbor as they are and I know they really appreciated it.
Over all it has been slow and not sure why. But He has my back and I don't ever have to worry (be concern) about it.

Another small job for Miss Pat.

This is her laundry room. The floor in here is as shot as the one that was in the bathroom. So we just went out an bought 5/8" plywood and screwed on top the old floor. We could have finished it up that day. But needed to go buy trim.

I was so happy that she liked it an was just as happy as we were.

Back to the redid bathroom. We cut the boards a little short in a couple of spots. So we just filled them u with caulk. now we are back putting small pieces of flooring in those small spot. Looking good I thought.

Well I believe we are done here and all is well.
Prayerful this will last for many years.
It is all about HIM. Thank you Jesus, all YOU do each day in our lives.

There are some real nice posters found on Facebook.

I am trying to figure out what this word, called Love is.
As Valentines Day is around the corner, I just want that reassurance of love in my life.
As I have gotten older I find it is hard to find it. Everyone is busy doing their own thing. Plus as we are older we all have children (I don't) and grand kids (I don't) in our lives. Time is short and as I look on at our lives the years have made us more about ME.
So why are we so selfish?
I guess I am just as bad for asking that question.
I know I am loved by Him (Jesus) so why do I look for more?

I am trying to get caught up on this blog. Jobs come and go.

But on Tuesday evening I always have darts. Like I was telling you, in the blog before. I was running late for this game. But as I waked in I heard a couple of the folks say. Tom is here. He made it.
That alone is kinda of neat, knowing they were looking for me.
I am the last shooter on the team. So as I was walking in, they told me I was the next one up.
All I can say is, it was by His GRACE I MADE IT IN TIME.

Oh well we lost both games again. Not sure why I am having such problems hitting the double out. That is what makes the game fun.

I guess this is Wednesday. This is Doris's deck we built about two months ago.
We are back to put a clear stain over the top of it to protect it.

Got all of the furniture off of there an Roy started rolling it out. I did the cut work on the pole and railings, plus where ever else was needed.

At the end of the job, I really think it is looking even better than before.

From here we did a couple of other small jobs around the park here.
But as our jobs keep coming in We will have something more to do the next day.
Praise Him and I thank Him each day for the chance to do work and help others out at the same time.
To tell you the truth too, The money is kinda nice too.

Jeanne saw this place and had to stop.

This restaurant in on Rt. 60 heading from 95 to downtown Vero Beach. Autumn's Crab .  Walked in and sat down. Really kind of quiet for b...
