Let me tell you a little ting about our Single's

If you are single and would like to have some company and great fellowship, please check us out. We meet every month, last Saturday. Veda is our over seer, she has gone out and bought each of us a book. It is called being with Safe People, or something like that. It really is a good book to read even if you are married. The book is talking about how the people around us are called safe people. Then the unsafe people. This is guide lines on how you know who is who? Last night we started out going through one and half chapters. Veda started it out with explaining who is what. Then Ambrose shared on Charter #2, half of it. We will be finishing Chapter # 2 and #3 next time we get together, (hopefully). If not it still is a good time to share what we believe this book is telling us and I think that alone is worth the time and fellowship. So please if you would like to come and see what Calvary Bible is doing, please e mail me and I will hook you up. my e mail address is,
toms@alcbahamas.org
I want to say thank you to Veda and the people that made our food for last night. It really was some good stuff. Plus Veda for being so welling to get this all together and just see what God does during these times.

It is so neat to see some of the singles come out to have fellowship and some good food.

Hey everyone,

I have Just learned about Face Book. I have a site now,
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?filter=app_2305272732#/home.php?ref=home
I am not sure if this is correct or not? Like I said I just started it yesterday. It sure looks like a better way of talking with people I have not seen in many years. I will keep the blog going. So don't worry about that. I still love this too. But just for others out there that don't know about Face Book. Please check this out and maybe you can get into it tooooooo.
Well it is Friday and what a week I have had. It is so neat to see all that Bob and I got done. I hope today to tie all the loose ends together. Plus tomorrow to clean out the trailer and just get it back together again too. The Patmos students are staying at the Camp during this time and it really would be a good time to do this. You know since Patmos has started we have had a lot of people coming and going in and out of the trailer. It really has gotten really messy. I will send pictures of before and after.

Good Monday morning to all.

I know you all have been waiting to see this train I have been talking about. Well I was going to take some pictures yesterday. But I really thought that Bob should be in the pictures too. He is the one that has been doing most of the work on it. You know the welding and taping off the things that we didn't want to paint. Plus here is a sad part too. Wednesday they both are leaving for home, Canada.
I hope to have some pictures in this blog by the end of the day. Lord willing.

I just want to say THANK YOU to of you that have been praying for me. I have been feeling a little bit better, but it just seem like it is over hanging on my head. That fear ting. I know there is nothing to fear but fear itself. I think about what that is saying and it really doesn't make any since. Say it to yourself. There is nothing to fear but fear itself. In God's Word He talks about how we don't need to fear any more. He is right along side us each and everyday of our lives. We ALL need to trust Him and then we will have victory in Him and Him alone.

Lone ranger and Tonto Went Camping

The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert. After
> they got their tent all set up, both men fell sound asleep.
>
> Some hours later, Tonto woke the Lone Ranger and said, "Kemo
> Sabe, look at sky. What you see?"
>
> The Lone Ranger replied, "I see millions of stars."
>
> "What that tell you?" asked Tonto.
>
> The Lone Ranger pondered for a minute and then said,
> "Astronomically speaking, it tells me there are millions of
> galaxies and potentially billions of planets.
> Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Time
> wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three in
> the morning. Theologically, the Lord is all-powerful and we
> are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we
> will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What's it tell you,
> Tonto?"
>"You dumber than buffalo patties. It mean someone stole tent!"

One more shot before trim goes on.

Wrong e mail address

A lesson to be learned from typing the wrong e-mail address...
A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter.
They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier. Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate the travel schedules.
So, the husband left Minnesota and flew to Florida on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day.
The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send a e-mail to his wife.
However, he ally left out one letter in her e-mail address, and without realizing his error, sent the e-mail.
Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston , a widow
had just returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a minister
who was called home to glory following a heart attack.
The widow decided to check her e-mail
expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first
message, she screamed and fainted.
The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read:
To: My Loving Wife
Subject: I've Arrived
Date: October 16, 2006
I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and
you are allowed to send E-mails to your loved ones.
I've just arrived and have been checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your
arrival tomorrow.
Looking forward to seeing you then! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.
PS. Sure is freaking hot down here!!!

This was our Missionary week long get together.

These are my friends I am talking about

Okay what do you think?

Yes that is a mustard yellow. By looking at it on the can it looked a lot more lighter. Oh well now we have a mustard colored train. If you have read before, I was going to use chrome and black to make it look sharp. Now after talking with my fellow friends and coworkers. We are going to just use black as the trim. That is what Bob and I will be doing today. Trying to finish the trim and put it all back together again. Yesterday while pulling the tape off, I saw a couple of spots that the paint just peeled off so easy. I am not a painter, but by putting the primer on I thought the yellow would stick a lot better. Maybe I am just not letting the paint harden enough? I hope by today's end we can say we are finished and then Bob and I will work on other tings. The sad part is, next week Bob and Fay will be leaving to go back up north, Canada. If you have been reading my blogs you would understand how much help these two have been for me and the Centre. But on a happy note, Saturday we all went out for a nice lunch and they were telling me that they might be back in town in Nov. Then stay for a month and go back home for Christmas. Then after New Years they would come and stay for another three to four months. Boy, that to me is sooooooooo neat to hear. The reason I say all this is to let the world know how much we here at the Centre are in such need of people to come over and help us out.

Yes we have pictures again.

Sunday, March 15, 2009

Good day all,

I am sorry but I have miss place my jump drive for the pictures to put on the blog. I hope by next week to find it or get another one.
Well we have the first coat on the train. It is a real mustard color. I thought maybe I should send some pictures to Frenches Mustard Company in Rochester, New York. That is where their factory is, plus that is my home town too. I am so happy to look at it and see the improvement, When we are all done, I believe it will look great. All the trim on it will be chrome. The wheel are all painted black. I think it will be sharp. Now the staff here are not that happy about it. They wanted a red train. Or any thing BUT yellow. I guess they will have to wait and see when we are done with it. I really do hope it will look good. The reason I am saying this is, We still need to put another coat plus all the trim and the plating under. Like I said I should have some pictures by next week.
Okay enough about that. Yesterday was my day for a great bicycle ride. It was a beautiful day. The breeze was great. About half way around I stopped for some water. While there I was right along side the water. I was looking out and saw two fins. I kept watch and saw this shark, about 6 foot long coming toward the shore line, FAST. I kept watching and saw this little sting ray swimming as fast as he or she could go. They went around in circles. I really wish I had my camera. I just kept on watching. This little guy or was fast, they both headed towards where I was standing. What a show. The little one got away and the shark just swim off.
I was just thinking before then how I believe the enemy has been beating me up. You know your mind is not focusing correctly. You have random thoughts. Just crazy things. I wrote to some of my friends and family last week. telling them about what I have been going through. I checked out my e mails and saw some many people pouring their hearts out to me. I at this time want to say thank you for that. I will write back to all of you this next week. Okay back to the story. So I looked at this little guy or and watched how he or she fought for their our lives. Swimming as fast as they could. I believe that is how I feel sometimes, running as fast I as can. Not knowing where but just want to run. My prayers are that I am running to Him, (The Lord). He is my shield and my fortress. He is my stretghen and my salvation. I will trust in Him and only Him. Looking back at the little one, he or she ran to the shore line, knowing he or she would be save there. That is my Lord too. He is my safety line and helper. I thanked Him right after watching my little friend. Jesus Christ is all we need. It is good to have fellowship and family to talk with, but in the end. It comes down to who will be there after we pass away. It will be our Lord and me, myself and I. No one else will be standing in front of Him that day. So I thank you each and every one out there that have been praying for me. I know they are helping.

FAMILY

I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
"Oh excuse me please" was my reply.
He said, "Please excuse me too;
I wasn't watching for you."
We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said goodbye.
But at home a different story is told,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.
Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
"Move out of the way," I said with a frown.
He walked away, his little heartbroken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.
While I lay awake in bed, God's still small voice came to me and said,
"While dealing with a stranger,
common courtesy you use,
but the family you love, you seem to abuse.
Go and look on the kitchen floor,
You'll find some flowers there by the door.
Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.
He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."
By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.
I quietly went and knelt by his bed;
"Wake up, little one, wake up," I said.
"Are these the flowers you picked for me?"
He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree.
I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.
I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue."
I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way."
He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay.
I love you anyway."
I said, "Son, I love you too,
and I do like the flowers, especially the blue."
FAMILY
Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company
that we are working for could easily replace us in
a matter of days.
But the family we left behind will feel the loss
for the rest of their lives.
And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more
into work than into our own family,
an unwise investment indeed,
don't you think?
So what is behind the story?
Do you know what the word FAMILY means?
FAMILY = (F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER (I) (L)OVE (Y)OU

Good morning all,

The story below is false one. I received this morning. So please if you read the story below, forget about it.
I thought you might find the following article from snopes.com interesting: http://www.snopes.com/crime/warnings/burundanga.asp

Sunday, March 08, 2009

Please read and pass it on.

Hi Folks.
I received this circular this morning and thought to share it with you.
[Annette McSweeney] ----
A man came over and offered his services as a painter to a female who was putting gas in her car and left his card. She said no, but accepted his card out of kindness and got in the car. The man then got into a car driven by another gentleman. As the lady left the service station, she saw the men following her out of the station at the same time. Almost immediately, she started to feel dizzy and could not catch her breath. She tried to open the window and realized that the odor was on her hand; the same hand which accepted the card from the gentleman at the gas station.
She then noticed the men were immediately behind her and she felt she needed to do something at that moment. She drove into the first driveway and began to honk her horn repeatedly to ask for help. The men drove away but the lady still felt pretty bad for several minutes after she could finally catch her breath.
Apparently, there was a substance on the card that could have seriously injured her.
This is called 'BURUNDANGA' and it is used by people who wish to incapacitate a victim in order to steal from or take advantage of them like REPEATED GANG . This is four times more dangerous than the date and is transferable on simple cards.
So take heed and make sure you don't accept cards at any given time alone or from someone on the streets. This applies to those making house calls and slipping you a card when they offer their services .
PLEASE SEND THIS E-MAIL ALERT TO EVERY FEMALE YOU KNOW

We are trying.

Why we have FEAR?

"Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around
you in and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and
harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you
up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and
justice" (Isaiah 41:10,
It's easy to look around at what's happening in the earth today and be
tempted to feel afraid or dismayed. Circumstances may seem
overwhelming. Maybe your business is struggling, maybe you lost your
job, maybe you're struggling in a relationship or concerned about the
economy. During times like these, it's important to remember that God
has promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us. In fact, not
only is He with us, He has promised to strengthen us and harden us to
difficulties. That means, when tough times come, they just bounce right
off of you. You don't allow your circumstances to steal your peace and
joy. You have the attitude that says, "This may be a big problem, but
my God is bigger!"
Keep in mind that the enemy isn't after your checkbook; he's ultimately after your peace and
joy. He knows that if he can get your joy then he can get your
strength. But when you stay connected to the Father through prayer and
studying the Word and declare His promises over your life, you'll be
hardened to difficulties and stay safe in the palm of God's hand!
A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, thank You for Your precious promises. I renounce fear
today and choose to trust that You have a plan of victory in store for
me. Thank You for filling me with Your peace and joy and staying close
to me all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen
"In Thy presence is fullness of joy; at Thy right
hand there are pleasures for ever"

Take your medicine

"A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a
broken spirit dries up the bones" (Proverbs 17:22, AMP).
So many people today live with sickness, headaches, digestive problems,
lack of energy and so much more because they don't have the joy they
should. They aren't sleeping well at night and are living under so much
stress and pressure. But the Bible tells us that when we are happy and
joyful, it's like medicine to our bodies. One of the greatest stress
relievers God has given us is the gift of laughter. It not only makes
you feel better, but it actually releases healing throughout your
system. In fact, medical science tells us that when people laugh, it
boosts their immune system. It reduces pressure. People who laugh
regularly are 40% less likely to have a heart attack than people that
don't laugh regularly. Laughter triggers the right side of the brain,
which helps release creativity so we can make better decisions.
Laughter activates the body's natural tranquilizers that not only help
us calm down, but it helps us sleep better.
If you need to rejuvenate your mind and body, it's time to take your
medicine! Make time to laugh every single day. Don't take yourself so
seriously. When you approach life with a happy, light-hearted attitude,
you'll begin to rise higher and higher into the life of health and
blessing the Lord has in store for you.
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of laughter. Help me to see the joy in
all circumstances so I can receive Your inner healing. Show me ways to
help those around me so together we can live in Your joy and strength.
In Jesus' Name. Amen.
"In Thy presence is fullness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for ever"
Psalm 16;:11

Yes this last Saturday night was GO OUT AND EAT NIGHT

I am so glad to be part of a our singles group at Calvary Bible. We had 18 people show up. This is just growing and even growing more. I believe pretty much every one had a good time. We got there around 7pm (Bahamas time). After we all sat down and ate. We had a birthday cake and some presents given out. It was Urecca and Ambrose's birthdays this last month, Feb. Just getting together as a group is some what over whelm. Veda has a big job trying to get gifts and setting up the places to go plus then running the show. She really does a nice job of it. I have the Honor of helping her out and just try to be the Christian man to do what ever is needed. So by looking at the pictures you can see every one and just knowing it really was a good time. Hey if you are in town and wanting to come. E mail me at
toms@alcbahamas.org
I would love to have you as a guest and maybe you could have a little fun too.

This was our nightout, Single's

Matt. 18:4-5
"Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the

And who ever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me."

Johnny's Mother looked out the window and noticedHim "playing church" with
their cat.
He had the cat sitting quietly and he was preaching to it.
She smiled and went about her work.
A while later she heard loud meowing and hissing and ran back To the open
window to see Johnny baptizing the cat in a tub of water.
She called out, "Johnny, stop that! The cat is afraid of water!"
Johnny looked up at her and said,
"He should have thought about that before he joined my church."

Jeanne saw this place and had to stop.
