As our Tennis Monday are winding down.

These folks are Karl and Glades. I will be playing against her the next match.

I am not sure what match this is, but I did play and we did okay. (It was 11:45 our games)The final score was 7 to 5. So we were the 5.

These two are Mary Ann in the back ground and Carol next to the net. I have played against Mary Ann and Carol has been my partner before too.

This is Sharon she was my partner during my match.

This was the final matches. Bill and Joyce were team mates. Not sure the out come. I left before the games were over.
Oh what I forgot to share about my truck? I dropped it off at Mark"s shop and he was putting on two new tires and checking out the brakes. We talked about the cost and I am thinking $200.00 max.
Oh well that is not what happened. I didn't get the truck back until Tuesday after noon around 3pm. I will share more tomorrow.
Good thing my Lord owns the sheep on the mountain. Because He is the One that will provide.

It is always a joy to ride over to The Jetty.

If you look back to last summer. They were bring in sand from the river to fill this beach up. But you can see it is pretty much going away. I guess the jetty let the sand wash back out. Not sure why they don't fix this. I can image the cost for pumping the sand from the river?

It really was surpising how full  the parking lt is, but really not that many on the Jetty.

This is always a neat picture here. The reason behind me is a table to clean fish and guess these guys and gays are waiting around for lunch?
I did ride the bicycle down towards the south on the island. But the wind was in my face and it was a rough ride. I only went around 3 miles south and turned around and came back.
After getting back home. I did hit some tennis balls for about 45 minutes. Just trying to stay in shape. Plus I would be playing on Monday morning at 11:45am.
My Monday started out dropping my truck off at Mark's Auto. I need two tires today and asked him the check on the front brakes. While pressing down on the brake pedal I notice there is a small shimmy. He called me back and told me that it is the rear brake drums are needed to be replaced. I guess this is going to be a expense day for me???
All I know is He is the One that provides and that is all I need to say about that.

Yes I am relaxing and enjoying some golf.

My first round was not to good I shot a 42.

So I thought why not try again? Which I did and had a chance to play with some folks  that I know here in the park.
What really happen was I was on their tails and they asked if I would like to join them? Which I was honored to do.

The guy in the green shirt is Billy, he is one of Roy's brothers that live here. Then the young lady is Mary Joe. I guess Billy has done some work for her and they have been hanging out playing golf?
It was still fun, I shot a 36 this time. So I will be back out maybe even today? I am going to The Crossing today and get fed the Word of God. Pastor Craig is a real good teacher and I enjoy his stories and how he talks about his own live and family. It really is encouraging to hear others problems and know they are dealing with some the same stuff you are.
The real neat thing is God's Word is prefect and loving. I know I will blow it today and I now He still loves me.

Where can you buy things like this for so cheap????

I think I wrote about this place before, but there is many out there that still don't know about it. It is called UPS. It is a place that stores like Winn-Dixie and others, drop off out dated things. So as you look on here and see. This is a great deal.
Oh last week I bought some Club Crackers here and they were stale. So maybe not everything is a great deal?
I will put the cookies and bread in the freezer and pull them out when needed.

I know this is more junk food than good, but every once and while I need a hit of junk.
Then I drove over to Walmart and really bought the stuff I needed. That came to $107.+
Hey folks I am not complaning at all. If I was back in the Bahamas this would have been over $200.00. Plus there I might not find what I need?
Over all I am still blessed and highly favored. BY you know WHO?

Having a different project to work on, PRAISE THE LORD

This gentlemen is Bill. He lives in the park here. I have done some other work for him before. But he called and we stopped by and he asked if we could finish a job someone else started two days ago. I guess the guy got called away and Bill fired him? That is what he told us. I am thinking Bill tried to do it and gave up? Whatever. So it was a easy repair. Just had to take down the old supports and put up new ones.

As I walked away I thanked the Lord for small jobs. Easy and say they are done. Today Roy and I will be cleaning his outside of the house. Using this stuff we got at Home Depot.

This is a item that Roy bought last year when he needed to wash his house down. There was mildew and all kinds of dirt on one side. This stuff kicked butt and looked great after wards. We have use this on a few homes so far and everyone is tickled pink after wards. It cost around $8.00 for this bottle and $12.00 for the gallon refill. So we will be going back to Home Depot and buying some more and even a couple of other items.
The bathroom (Pats) now she wants Wayne Board up along the sides of the vanity.

We did go back to Pat's bathroom and repaired a towel rack we put up for the other bathroom we redid. These anchors do a nice job and even work.
Off to the Home Depot and ready for another beautiful day ahead and look forward to the week-end. I am planing on playing golf and tennis and maybe even go to the beach too.

This is the bathroom we started out last Monday and going great. BUT

Okay I had a take a couple of days off working on this bathroom. The reason was a neighbor asked for help last Thursday and Friday. Plus Pat (owner) wanted a different top for her vanity. So it had to be ordered. The top came in on Friday but it was cracked. So they ordered another one. We ended up on Wednesday buying a different one.
Meanwhile we got the electric in and the light and mirror.

Okay why am I having such a hard time putting up towel bars and other thing on this wall???? It is dry wall. This one screw hit a stud. Now what.

Okay these are the anchors I have been trying to work with.
the first three (3) spins in the dry wall.
The last one worked great. I guess I need to buy these kind of anchors for dry wall???

The funny thing is we had the same trouble in her other bathroom. We ended up using Liquid Nails.
You have to remember these homes are old 30 years old. The moisture  in walls doesn't help at all. So they are very brittle. So like I said there are many anchors out there, you just need to find the one that works.
Today all we need to buy is a nut for the drain on the sink. These mobile homes have a different pumping black pipe for drains.

This is picture of another sink we replaced a while back. Just showing you the black pipe.
So we will get that and this bathroom is finished.
Praise the Lord. We have a couple of small jobs coming up next. Maybe in the next week or so, We have another bathroom to redo. She is getting a new shower (tile) put in first and then we can take out the toilet and vanity and replace them.
I am very blessed to have some work and get a chance use the skills He has given me.
Not sure how much longer I will be able to do it. But as I can I will keep plugging along.

I am up to date on pictures and all that has been going on.

This is Sunday morning at McDonald's, This mural was up on the wall and it really did remind me of the 17th Causeway in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Had some breakfast and went to Calvary again. Tim had a meeting with the missions guy, John.

Then after that Tim was asked to say a few words about his life as a missionary. This is a mission class that Calvary has been doing for over 17 years. I took this class back then. 2000. So I sat in and listened and even had a chance to be part of the class. The time when the table leaders have a chance to share and ask questions. It was a good reminder of what and how to deal with different cultures.
Jeff had a chance to share some scripture from the Word of God.
After then we went back to Andi's place and packed up and drove back up my way.

This is the bathroom I was working on before I drove south. Mean while Roy did a couple of repairs on it and we came in yesterday and patched the walls and put a couple of pieces of trim up. I started to move the electric boxes, but time ran out and Roy finished them up. I went and played tennis for 45 minutes and even won 7 games out of 11. Tim came and watched me too. I really enjoy playing tennis. It is a going tennis tournament for the next 4 more weeks? I think are left?

Got back and got the toilet in and it even works.
We needed to wait on the patch work before painting anything. So we called it a day at 3pm.

As this was Tim final night here, he took Roy and I out for dinner at the Olive Garden in Vero Beach. It was a great time an hang out and just relax and talk about our lives.
Well got back home and Tim went to bed around 6:45pm. I ended going in around 7 something. The reason was we both needed to get up around 2 am and drive him to the airport. Which by God's grace went well and I am back home and getting ready to do a little more work on that bathroom. Hopefully today we can finish up and trim and paint the room. Maybe even get the light up on the ceiling.
It is sure nice to have some time with Tim. But I know how much he has been missing his wife and kids. So He should be landing around 3 pm today. I know his family misses him too. So I told him, maybe in the summer I will get a chance to fly back over to the Bahamas??? Maybe???

Jeanne saw this place and had to stop.

This restaurant in on Rt. 60 heading from 95 to downtown Vero Beach. Autumn's Crab .  Walked in and sat down. Really kind of quiet for b...
