Need to do some repairs around our house.

This is our Barn in back. The roof has a small leak, and it is looking pretty bad too.

So, I sprayed it with the house cleaner I use. Then got the pressure washer out and finished to job.

Here you can see the deference, mildew and just dirty.

I have been having some problem leaking everywhere. It's the pressure washer handle.
I bought a new one and found out I must have lost the small spring inside of the handle. I kept thinking, what can I do to fix this? I put Teflon tape around the inside and replaced the O rings. Still leaking like crazy.

Drove over to Home Depot and got some more roof sealer. I had a 1/2 of a gallon left over from others jobs we have done.

Here is the other sealer I had. Did half of the roof and then took a break. boy, it sure was hot up there. Plus I just needed a break.

Looking good, I think. Prayerfully the leak is sealed in and now need to clean the rest of the barn.

Okay all is clean and ready for some paint. While waiting for it to dry.

I got the weed trimmer out and went to work on all that too.

Then after that, I drove to Home Depot again and bought 2 gallons of Round-Up, to take care of all these vines over growing on our fence.
Just a heads up. This took me two days to get all of this done. But at the end it really was looking good.
The next day I used the weed trimmer and clean a are to put all of the items that were up against the fence and around the shed in that area. The reason is our lawn guys should be coming one of these days and don't want the stuff in their way.
Well, folks I really hope you are all doing well and just a reminder, He is right alongside of you and whatever you are going thru, He is there for you. Please just ask Him for help and He will do it in His time. I know for myself, I ask and it seems like, He is not there and why is it taking so long?
Please just trust Him and His peace will come upon you.
Give someone a smile today. We all need one sometimes.

Trying another new restaurant. This is to celebrate Jake's birthday.

My little girl loves trying new places. So, she found this and wants to try it.
This is called Stringers Traven and Oyster Bar.

This is really why Jeanne wanted to try this place. They have a special 4-6pm every day, Buck a Shuck.
So guess what my baby ordered? OH YES, a buck a shuck she wants 12 right off the bat.

Then someone else ordered 12 more for the rest of us. I ate three myself. They did tasted pretty good.

Then Jeanne ordered this for her meal. It's Spicy Shimp Pasta. I tried it and it had a little bit of spice.

This is the Stinger Burger and fries, VERY GOOD, Tasty and even has a sweet flavor. Even Jeanne enjoyed it.

These are different boat makers. Really YACHTS. It is crazy the size of some of these. Very nice and just can image how much they cost. Oh, that's right if you have to ask the price, you cannot afford it.

This place has a neat atmosphere. If you look all these room remakes of Yachts different rooms.

Who are these people?
Okay, Jake (birthday boy), Jessie and Jeanne. Right hand- Chrisi, Kashen, Elly and Kaden.
It sure was nice to get together and enjoy some great food and nice company too.

The way the light was coming in from that window, not too good of a shot.

I saw this and really liked it. I am not sure what kind of fish they are?
Well, I guess by now you all out there and saying, I thought your wife was a CHEF? So, why are you going out every day? I am not sure, but if your wife wants to go out, I am ready for the ride and trying something new.
Overall, this was very nice and enjoyed the tasty food too.
Okay, what's happening these days about the gas prices going up and then more. Then dropping a few cents?
I really not sure why? I really did enjoy the prices of gas, during Trumps time.
I hope and pray that we as a nation are praying for this country and all that has been going on.
Oh, just a note. Jeanne's school year has started out great. The reason comes down to the new principal for Westwood High School.
They got a new principal for this school year. I have meet him and just been listening to him in the morning announcements. He comes on and congratulates them and whoever has won in sports.
Then he asked everyone please stand for the
 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE.
That to me is a big step in teaching our children resect. Then he goes over some of the rules that they are enforcing them strongly.
Hey, here is Florida they passed a law.
THERE IS NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED OUT OF THE STUDENTS BAGS DURING CLASSROOM TIME.
They can use them between classes and lunch time.
Jeanne is tickled pink. She has been working here now 5 years and I think this is the first time, she comes home with a smile on her face. I love it. It makes our lives better and she doesn't have to get upset over stupid stuff. Praise you LORD for bring him on board.

Monday, August 21, 2023

This is Monday13th to Wednesday16th.

So, I wanted to show Kevin our neighborhood and just get to see downtown Fort Pierce. So, we went to the Jetty and drove along Hutchenson Island. Then took him to Donut Circus for brunch. Then took him around and just hung out. During this time, we had a chance to get caught up and what he is dealing with. It was a great day.

Well, it was Jessie's birthday (Monday) and Jeanne wanted to take her out and enjoy a nice dinner. We drove over to the Texas Roadhouse Grill. In Post Saint Lucie area.

Kevin and I had the 6oz steak dinner. Jessie had chicken and my baby had a Rib eye steak.

Meanwhile Jeanne was talking with our server and asked about a birthday dessert? So, they came out with their saddlebag chair. This is where the birthday boy or girl sits on it, and they sing their special song for them.

This was their special browning and ice-cream dessert. Now after helping her eat this, I was over full.

I think this was Tuesday afternoon, after picking Jeanne up from school. Jessie needed to see her brother about some paperwork. So, Joe, (brother) works at Mullinax Ford. he does the financing for their customers.
WOW, I saw this and said, I am in Heaven. Beauiful 2023 Cobra Mustang. Fulling packaged. $99,900. THOUSANDS. Crazy. but she is beautiful. That is my baby is.

This is Tuesday evening; it was Jessie and Kevin's responsibly to feed us. We had ham and sweet potatoes and Greenbean casserole.
After eating we packaged up some leftovers for Kevin's family that is staying in Fort Lauderdale.
Okay Wednesday I have a dentist appointment down in Fort Lauderdale. So, this really worked out great. We got up and dropped Jeanne off at school and we headed south. On the way I showed Kevin different places on the way. I even took him to Calvary Chaple, my old hang out spot.
So, after my appointment we headed over to Char Hut. I think this is my favor restaurant in Fort Lauderdale.

When we got here, I saw the owner's wife (Kim) and told her that I know her daughter, Jenn. Jenn went thru Patmos and became the Camp director at the ALC Camp.
So, Jenn was living in Nassau and while Kevin was living with me, she knew him and all that was going on then. I saw Kim maybe a couple of years ago, I shared with her then too and knowing her daughter. She asked if we could take e a picture with her? Sure, I really hope, Jenn remembers us.

I just love their hamburgers and onion rings, here.  The only thing that would make this place the best is, serve COKE PROTECTS. They have Pepsi.
Like I said we really did some heavy talking and just trying to get to hear about what he is dealing with and what is happening in the Bahamas.

Kevin went over to talk with one of the servers. She is 70 years young and enjoy wiping the table off and just trying to help their customers out.
After Kevin came back and shared with me about her knee, she just got a Cardazone shot the day before. It was still hurting her a little. I really thought that was neat for Kevin to go see her and ask her if she was, ok?

Well, the day was winding down and I need to get back and pick up Jeanne from school. She gets out AT 2PM

Kevin, his cousin (forgot her name) Yanessa (Kevin's niece) Kim (Kevin's mommy) and Cookie. (Nephew)
Hey while there Kim and I sat and talked a little and trying to see what is going on.
They have been going here and there. Plus got some new clothes and other items.
I dropped off the ham and fixings and was on my way.
Oh, I tried to set up my new phone and give Kevin my old one. But time was not on our side.

We got outside and said our goodbyes and it was rough. But I know we will see each other's again one day.
All I know now is, I am very late. I think it was 2:30pm already. It is a 2-hour ride back.  I texted Jeanne and she just said don't worry, she has things to do at school.

I was looking at my phone (Waz's) There was a slow down on 95 north of West Palm Beach area. So, I got off and took the Turnpike.

Then as driving along, a down pour happened. Wow I am late and going to be even later.
I just kept on driving and get to the school around 5pm. Jeanne really did have things to do, and she was not upset at all. So, my time with Kevin all worked out great. Plus, like I said we got caught up and all that he is dealing with, back home too.
It was wonderful to see how much Jeanne welcome him into our home and pretty much is the one that packed all that food for his family plus. I am very blessed to have her in my life.
Thank you, Lord, for this last week, just so nice to just enjoy seeing him and knowing how much you are working in his life. There is so much more that Kevin needed to seek His face and just trust Him.
I know it is very easy to say all this, but it is TRUE. We need to seek and trust HIM more and more each day.

Jeanne saw this place and had to stop.

This restaurant in on Rt. 60 heading from 95 to downtown Vero Beach. Autumn's Crab .  Walked in and sat down. Really kind of quiet for b...
