Roy and I had a couple of jobs to get done.

We first started at Eugene's repair. Above this window there is some water damage. Eugene told us that he has not seen any dampness or even felt wet at all. So we told me, that was can replace some of the wood around the window and no guarantees.

So we took down the damaged paneling and replace it with new. Eugene was very happy and even gave us a nice tip too. Now this next job is a friend of his, Betty. He wanted to go over to her home with us, but I I told him we were going to get some breakfast at Roy's sister's home, in the park here. Which we did. Plus I did tell Betty we would not be by her house until after 11am. Eugene's job only took us 20 minutes.
Okay we have soe food in our bellies and ready to tackle another water damaged paneling.

Now this looks like it will be a lot bigger job than I planned on. But we told Betty the same, no guarantees. If there is water damage afterwards, sorry. We didn't come in to repair the leaks. Just to replace the panleing and make it look good too.

Now this is some bad rot. So we started taking out all the damaged wood and see what we will need to do here.

Okay now the rest of the wood is not rotting out all the way. So we got out what we thought would make this happen.

We got the studs back in place. This is just something to hold the paneling in place.

We bought s couple of cans of foam and Roy sprayed it around and tried to put where it is needed.
Now we got the paneling up above the window. Roy finished working on caulking it all in and I went over to the other water damaged area.

Pulled down all the water damged paneling and found out, there really was no leaks behind the paneling. Not really sure where the water damage came from. Behind here is bone dry and didn't even see any water damaged there. Nothing from the roof or the floor. The paneling was all bubbled up and damaged.

This the first project we started on. Well Roy caulked everything in and looking good.

Then we came over here and Roy caulked this all in too. Betty was very happy and we walked away, with a few bucks in our pockets too.
Prayerfully in a couple of weeks, we will be able to get some more jobs.
Right now I am still hurting from the manipulate. We did this work the week before I had is done.
Over all I am very happy that we could help these folks out and looking forward in helping others down the road.

Last Augest 2021, we had a new air conditioner, was put in.

I never noticed this? Okay first of all, I asked to have our air conditioner tune up. The guy that came out is Sam, he is one of the sons that own the Advance Air Company. Well while he was looking at our unit. He made a comment about, do you know you have a hole between the duct work and the attic. WHAT DO YOU MEAN??? I looked and how can this be? You guys put this unit in last August and why would you not finish the trim work? He told me, he is not sure?

Okay we have a problem. I know someone else was coming out the next day to take a look at my neighbor's (Chris's, Jeanne's cousin) air unit. So I needed to let Steve in to get to the unit. As we were talking, I asked if he could just take a look at our air unit. He told me if he has time, he will. Which he did. He looked at it, told me that, they must have forgot about finishing this up. He talked to the office and he told me that he will send someone out to finish it up.
The next day I didn't get a call from them about, when they will be coming out again. I called and asked to talk with the owner Sam (senior) . We started out on the wrong foot. I was trying to explain what is needed here to finish the job up. Well it got out of hand, we started getting louder and louder. At the end we pretty much hung up on each other.
Okay now there is a another repair guy coming out the take a look at our neighbors air unit (Chris).
Glen came out and looked at Chris's unit. He found out that he needs a new motor for the air unit. While talking about it, I asked him to come over and take a look at our unit. He told me sure. He walked in and said, yes this is our problem. He promised me he would be coming back to put up some insulation board, plus shoot some foam up in between the flooring up there and the unit.
He did ask if I could take the wall down in the closet? Sure can.

I got the board off and ready for Glen. Glen called us and told us he would be out the next day.

You can see, he put up the insulation board.

Then he sprayed a couple of cans of foam up in between the board an duct work. It came out great and even noticed how there really not that much heat coming down off the attic.
Glen did a nice job and Jeanne and I are very happy and looking forward in se the net FPL Bill? That is our electric company here. Florida and Power Light.
Oh I went over to the Advance Air Office and talked with Sam, (the owner) I walked in and shake his hand and told him I am sorry for the way I acted. He told me, that it was a two way conversion. He was sorry too. All is well an I walked out, feeling good about asking for forgiveness.
Who do you need to ask for FORGIVENESS?

Well, prayerfully this is my last time here, at Lawnwood Hospital.

Here I am one more time, (LAST ONE)
Okay what is going on? I had my knee replacement on May 5th 2022. During my time in the hospital, we had a little trouble, bleeding in the incision. Doctor looked at and cleaned it up and put a new Band-Aid on it.  He sent me home and told us, if there is any more bleeding, to call him at home.
Okay this was Mother Days, May 8th. I think he called us and asked how it was going? Told him seems like more blood? He told us he would be by our home around 4:30pm that evening. Which he came out an took a look. Pulled the old Band-aid off and saw how it was leaking a little.

He put in three new staples and put the band aid back on and let see what happens next? We went in May 12nd and he looked and decided to go back in and cut it up an see where it is bleeding from.
Okay I went back in and he did open it back up and found it was the inside stiches. leaking.
All is fixed now. But I will not be able to do any therapy until 10 day after this. Plus he put a brace on my left knee so I can not bend it and open the incision. Okay I started therapy, Home Care. June 2nd. She came twice. Meanwhile we left for Winter haven and then to Sarasota, Florida. While there I walked up and down stairs and went to the pool and walked up and down. Plus I even tried the bike in the gym at the hotel.
We got back and I saw Dr. Stanton and I gave him a 90 degree bend and he told me to keep it up.
Plus I started doing therapy at Premier Therapy. They worked me hard. Pushing on the knee and trying to bend it more each time I came in. I talked to Halley there at Premier and she told me, it is going to be a hard road. Maybe we should think about having Manipulation Surgery? So I called Dr. Standon and we set it up for July 26th (today) He looked at my knee, yesterday and told me what he was going to do and what might happen to?   So this morning I went into the Outpatient at Lawnwood,  this morning 6am.
Got checked in and now waiting to do this Manipulation. Doctor Standon came in told us what will happen. Then he marked my left knee and told me all is well.

You can see how swollen the knee is. The next picture is my right knee. Not as bad.
Now what is Manipulation Surgery?
A noninvasive procedure to treat chronic pain unmanageable by other methods.
MUA is designed not only to relieve pain but also to break up excessive scar tissue. takes 15 to 40 minutes. Typically noticeable improvements in range of motion and pain is immediately noticed.

Everyone came in and told us what each person was doing. Which then I had to sign my life away. But I trust Dr. Standon and I know who is really doing the work, MY LORD JESUS CHRIST. Jeanne and I prayer and kissed and I was on my way into the Operating  Room. They asked me to switch beds and then the drugs came an I was out.
I woke up in the recovering room and my nurse was very nice to me and asked how I was doing? I told her, my left knee is still numb. She told me the block will wear off in a couple of hours. I sat up and talked to Dr. Standon and he told me, he didn't' bend my knee has much as he wanted. But said the scare tissue is broken up a little and therapy should be able to get me to 122 degrees or more, (bend)
Okay at 4pm I will be going to therapy and let us see what happens.
Hey I praise my Lord for all He is doing and I am going to keep on bending as much as I can.
Thank you Lord and look forward in a full recovery.

On Saturday evening after the memorial, Bonita, Jeanne and I headed back to Winter Haven.

We got back into town here and stopped to get a dinner. So while sitting here, we talked about, thing s that have been going on in our lives. Afterwards I know I was ready for some sleep. We got back to Bonita' home and crashed.
I know these next couple of days were very hard to keep pushing. But we have things to do before we head back home. Got a good night of rest and Jeanne and I went to McDonald's and had some breakfast and now we are ready to rock and roll. NOT REALLY?

You can see there are many branches need to be trimmed and taken away. So Jeanne was not feeling to good that morning, So I let her stay inside and hang out with Bonita.

Got the truck loaded up and drove over to the office at Bonita's park. Talked with the manager and she told me where to pile all of our branches up. She even gave e a small map to make sure I was in the correct area. Which I dropped them where she told me. meanwhile a guy came out of his home, next to where I was told to pile the branches up. He was telling me, the truck that comes to pick this up, Their bucket is on the side of the truck, not on the back like most bucket trucks are made. So I asked him where should I put the piles? He told me right on the corner of the road, the truck and come and pick it up with no trouble at all.

Well you can see the pile in back is the one I first dropped off. Before dropping this here. I talked to the owner of this lot, Richard was his name. He told me it would be okay to pile the branches there. He said everyone put their piles there. I told him Thank you and I will try to keep it piled high. Which I did.

You can see how nice and clean it looks now. I think it took me 6 trips to get all these branches out of here.

Next project, cleaning off the roofs.

Afterwards we all called it a day. I am not sure what we ate this evening, but I know I was out of it by 8pm. Bedtime.

This is Monday morning, 4th of July. I got up and walked over to the pool area and did my devotion and had a chance to talk with one of the members here, at the park. Really was nice guy, but I forgot his name.

Hey their pool and area around here is very nice.

Meanwhile Jeanne pulled up in the truck and we went to McDonald's for breakfast.

Now I will try to blow off the roof, the leaves and what ever else is up here. Blow to the ground and rake it up. I started using Bonita's blower. It is electric but very small. So Jim across the street, was watching me try to get it done. He told me, wait a minute,  He had something a lot stronger. He got out his gas power blower and it was powerful.
At the end it did a great job. I know it looked a lot better than before. Then I needed to rake them all up, too. Put them in bags and thru them in the back of the truck. Took them over to the pile.

While at McDonald's, we talked about the neighbor down the road from Bonita's house. We talked with them for a little while, on Sunday afternoon. She was saying that the palm tree in front of Bonita's has needed some trimming for many years. Are we going to do it? I think I told the lady, we will be back in 6 months and take care of it?
So Jeanne and I talked and  came up with a plan to trim that palm tree. I know I was running on  no gas in me. I just finished raking up all the leaves and branches. So Jeanne told me that she would do it.
Which I tried at first, but I let her do it. I was tried and worn out.

I think we had three loads of branches from that palm tree?

Our last load, Praise The Lord.

We piled everything as high as we could. Got back to Bonita' home and took a shower and said our good byes and started heading home ourselves.
I am not sure how long it took, all I know I was soar and ready for our bed.
We stopped on the way and got a bite to eat and got home safely and in good time too.
It sure nice to visit and see family and do those tings. But I am very grateful to have a wife that is willing to help trim tree and clean it up and just be along side of me.

I think we came home and had was our 4th Of July, eating hot dogs. I am very blessed to have Jeanne in my life, she really does try to work along side of me and help me.
That fan that is blowing on me, here. Jake (Jeanne's son) gave this to me for Christmas present.
It works great and I enjoyed just laying around at this time.
Thank you everyone that has serviced and others that have given up their lives for this country. We are very blessed to have such a great nation an know that Our Lord is right along side of us.

Jeanne saw this place and had to stop.
