Here is a couple more pictures I took.

Here is a couple more pictures I took.

Here is a couple more pictures I took.

It is Monday morning,

Yes we made it trough the Men's Retreat. It really turned out to be the best one, I have been to. The reason is I believe is, our speakers didn't come to teach us. We as men had the chance to really share what is on our hearts and why we all feel we are alone sometimes. It really was a eye opener when Pastor Clinton came on Saturday night. We were sitting around the fire and talking about accountable partners. Found out pretty much every one wants one, but have not found one.
So Sunday afternoon during our time of sharing about what we got out of the week-end. Well I pretty much said that, if you want one, do it. I myself have been talking with different men to see which one would be the right one for me. Over the last year or so. You know someone you can trust and open your heart up and share your life with. Then the same with them. Guys we all need that one or two people in our lives that we can bonce things off of. I know a lot of the guys have their wives to share with. But they need someone too. So if I start asking you questions, I might be looking to you to be that person.
Dr Thompson came on Sunday morning and he talked about how Jesus loved Lazarus. It showed how much He really did care for him and his family. That is the same with the one you want to be able to share with. Someone that loves you and your family. Guys we all need to be open to someone and someone that you can trust and just hang with. It doesn't have to be set in stone. But we need to start trying to find that one and see what happens. I know I need that and I believe we all do.
It is so funny to see how the s can sit down and pretty much share everything. But us men have been programed to be SUPER HERO and we can not have any faults. We are not SUPER HERO"S, we are hurting men and we need to be open with other men.

Hymn #365

This is a hoot, but I suspect the minister didn't appreciate it.
A minister was completing a temperance sermon. With great emphasis he said, "If I had all the beer in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river."
With even greater emphasis he said, "And if I had all the wine in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river."
And then finally, shaking his fist in the air, he said, "And if I had all the whiskey in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river.."
Sermon complete, he sat down.
The song leader stood very cautiously and announced nearly laughing, "For our closing song, let us sing Hymn #365, Shall We Gather at the River."
Smile, life is too short not to !!
See you at the river.

Yes our Men's Retreat has started.

Men we can relate to the duct tape.

I saw this beaiutful (2) rainbows.

This is great, take the monent to read it. You will enjoy the ending

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art..
When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.
About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands..
He said, 'Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly... He often talked about you, and your love for art.' The young man held out this package. 'I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.'
The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture.. 'Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift.'
The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.
The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.
On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. 'We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?'
There was silence..
Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, 'We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one.'
But the auctioneer persisted. 'Will somebody bid for this painting? Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?'
Another voice angrily. 'We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Gogh's, the Rembrandts.. Get on with the Real bids!'
But still the auctioneer continued. 'The son! The son! Who'll take the son?'
Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. 'I'll give $10 for the painting...' Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.
'We have $10, who will bid $20?'
'Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters.'
The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son.
They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.
The auctioneer pounded the gavel. 'Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!'
A man sitting on the second row shouted, 'Now let's get on with the collection!'
The auctioneer laid down his gavel. 'I'm sorry, the auction is over.'
'What about the paintings?'
'I am sorry.. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings.

The man who took the son gets everything!'
God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: 'The son, the son, who'll take the son?'
Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO SO EVER BELIEVETH, SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE....THAT'S LOVE

I want to tell you all a short story.

Last week while eating a O Henry candy bar, I broke off a part of my tooth in back. Thinking how much I going to the dentist. I knew I needed to go. Folks for years I have been avoiding them. I had a lot of work done on my teeth over the many years. I just never enjoyed going. I have always found ways to say I will go next week. Well this time I didn't have next week to go. I called a dentist office that I know someone that works at. Dr Sparkman Ferquson. (Terry Fox works here). I went in and this woman was so gentle with me. We talked and laughed. She told me that I needed a root canal, plus a new crown too. I told her okay on the root canal. (cost $650.00) She was so nice and gentle. I told her maybe next month for the post and the following month for the crown. (cost Post-$200.00, crown - $795.00 total is $995.00) I went to my account and found I have now, $238.41. So you can see my delemona. So I am asking my friends if you think of me during these days, please pray that our Lord will provide the funds needed. Plus I can tell you this I will be going back to her. I really enjoy my time there. Yes I said I enjoyed my time at the dentist!

Yes our little machine is running again.

A Heart Warming Story of Burnt Biscuits

When I was a little , my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner
every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had
made breakfast after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago,
my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely burned biscuits in
front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my
dad did was reach for his biscuit, smile at my mom and ask me how my day was
at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember
watching him smear butter and jelly on that biscuit and eat every bite!
When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom
apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And I'll never forget what he
said: "Baby, I love burned biscuits."
Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he
really liked his biscuits burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, "Your
Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides - a
little burnt biscuit never hurt anyone!"
You know, life is full of imperfect things.....and imperfect people. I'm
not the best housekeeper or cook. What I've learned over the years is that
learning to accept each other's faults - and choosing to celebrate each
other's differences - is one of the most important keys to creating a
healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.
And that's my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good,
the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of God.
Because in the end, He's the only One who will be able to give you a
relationship where a burnt biscuit isn't a deal-breaker!
"Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket - keep it in
your own."
Be kind; everyone is going through some kind of struggle.
Never look down on anybody unless you're helping to pick them up.

Long but a good one to read and pass on.

I Only hope we find GOD again before it is too late

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.
My confession:
I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are, Christmas trees.
It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu . If people want a creche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.
I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period.. I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat..
Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to..
In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.
Billy Graham 's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Hurricane Katrina )... Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'
In light of recent events... ists attack, school s, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was ed, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem ( Dr. Spock 's son committed ). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said okay.
Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.
Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'
Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how , crude, vulgar and articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.
Are you laughing yet?
Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.
Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.
Pass it on if you think it has merit.
If not, then just discard it.... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.
My Best Regards, Honestly and respectfully,
Ben Stein

This is Rue.

Good morning all,

Yes I am sorry to say that yesterday we sold Erro. The reason was the price of food for all of our animals has been really hurting us. Just like today I will be going to the feed store and spending around $450.00 worth of food for this next week. We spend around $1100.00 a month on feed alone. There is another reason why we sold him, was because he is sometimes hard to control too. You know he is not one for someone to sit on or even try to ride. We still have his daughter Rue. So the kids will be able to still see a donkey and maybe down the road be able to even ride her. There are a couples of other reasons too. Erro is a male and his daughter is a female, so when he sees her he goes some what crazy trying to get to her. You can understand the rest of the story. So now we should be able to let her run free, some what. This is will good for her. Right now she is by her self in the back pasture and really no one is around her durng the day. I can understand how lonely she could become. This way she will be running around and just seeing other areas. We could not do that before, Erro would see her and go crazy trying to get to her. Erro is going to another island and this guy is trying to start up a small ALC there. Debbie Bird was telling me about how he would love to have something like this there so the kids could see and enjoy what we have here. Debbie told him that maybe down the road we could send some of our staff over to show him what we do and how we do it too. It really sounds like Erro will have his our place and all the grass he wants to eat too. Plus they took some of our sheep and I think rabbits too. I know he want a horse too. Maybe down the road that might happen too.

This is one of our donkies.

Morning Motivation

When I woke up this morning lying in bed, I was asking myself;
What are some of the secrets of success in life?
I found the answer right there, in my very room.

AND NOT TO FORGET THE CARPET THAT SAID.......
KNEEL DOWN AND PRAY.
Carry a Heart that Never s.

Carry a Smile that Never Fades.

Carry a Touch that Never Hurts.

This is a cute one.

Pastor Sauer decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon.
Four worms were placed into four separate jars.
The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.
The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke.
The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup.
The fourth worm was put into a container of good clean soil.
At the conclusion of the sermon, the Pastor reported the following results:
The first worm in alcohol - .
The second worm in cigarette smoke -
Third worm in chocolate syrup -
Fourth worm in good clean soil - Alive.
So Pastor asked the congregation -
What can you learn from this demonstration?
Maxine was sitting in the back, quickly raised her hand and said,
"As long as you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won't have worms!"
That pretty much ended the service --

Charley the greeter at WalMart

Charley, a new 'retiree greeter' at Walmart, just couldn't seem to get to work on time. Every day he was 5, 10, sometimes 15 minutes late. But he was a good worker.... Really tidy, clean shaven, sharp minded and a real credit to the company and obviously demonstrating their "Older Person Friendly" policies.
One day the boss was in a real quandary about how to deal with it. Finally, he called him into the office for a talk. "Charley, I have to tell you,
I like your work ethic. You do a bang-up job, but your being late so often is quite bothersome."
"Yes, I know boss, and I am working on it."
"Well good. You are a team player. That's what I like to hear. It's odd though, your coming in late. I know you're retired from the Armed Forces.
What did they say if you came in late there?"
"They said, 'Good morning, General. Will you have tea or coffee this morning, Sir?'"

Finally a heartwarming LAWYER story. Maybe

One afternoon a lawyer was riding in his limousine when he saw two men along the roadside eating grass. Disturbed, he ordered his driver to stop and he got out to investigate.
He asked one man, "Why are you eating grass?"
"We don't have any money for food," the poor man replied. "We have to eat grass."
"Well, then, you can come with me to my house and I'll feed you," the lawyer said.
"But sir, I have a wife and two children with me. They are over there, under that tree." "Bring them along," the lawyer replied.
Turning to the other poor man he stated, "You come with us, also."
The second man, in a pitiful voice, then said, "But sir, I also have a wife and SIX children with me!"
"Bring them all, as well," the lawyer answered. They all entered the car, which was no easy task, even for a car as large as the limousine was. Once underway, one of the poor fellows turned to the lawyer and said, "Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you."
The lawyer replied, "Glad to do it. You'll really love my place. "The grass is almost a foot high."

Jeanne saw this place and had to stop.
