Hello my fellow friends. Patmos #4 started.
The game we all love to see is Bat spin. That is, look at the picture above. Broke up in teams and the first one on the team runs down and eats a banana, then drinks a coke, then has to spin around on top of a baseball bat. 10 times. Then run back to your team to tag the next one to run. Then starts all over again. The team that finishes first will not have to do a work for 15 minutes, during the regularly work out time. Gio's small group won that honour. Hey it looks like fun and it sure was fun. Another game was run down, teams again, close your eyes and put on rubber gloves and then open a wrapper and chew until you can blow a bubble.
The rain came and that pretty much did for that time. We all had some pizza and even play another game inside. Well enjoy your day and I will be talking with you later on. Please e mail and let me know how you are doing. toms@alcbahamas.org

A short note.
Good morning to my family and friends
I will be going over there FT. Laud. To visit 9 home Bible groups. I am looking forward in sharing all that is going on here and just letting people realize living on this little island what is is all about.
I think I have told you this once before but you know I have slept since the last time I have written. So if I am repeating myself, forgive me. I just am asking for prayer and wanting to see what He has plan for this next year in my life. All I know is there is going to be one answer only going back to Ft. Laud. or staying here. That is pretty much all there is for Him speaking. If you have read my blog before, I hope you hear my heart on how I love this place and how I believe this is sooooooo much more for me to do here.
I would love to hear from you all out there. Please e mail a note. I love writing on this and I know there is folks out there that read it, but I never hear what they are thinking of about it. This is my address, toms@alcbahamas.org

It is so good to talk with you.
Okay now about my washer problems, like I told you I went on line to You Tube and found a couple of guys that video tape their repairs. It was great, it really did help me. I went out yesterday and bought the part I needed and guess what? It is working as we speak.
The students today have a rough schedule. they were woken 3 times during the night. Then woke up at 5am. They will be working out until 7;30 am. Then later today they will go to the beach for a 4 hour work out. Please keep them and staff in prayer. They are all being tested BIG time.

This is Sunday night here in The Bahamas.
Alright I have been telling you all about what is going on here. I am going to tell you again, Patmos (4) four has started and tomorrow morning we all get to learn about each other and just talk with them. I have a some work to do too.
Oh remember I was telling you about the washer we have. Last night around 11pm I got on You tube. That is a neat place to go. I put in Kenmore washer. Then repair. this guy came on and talked about the noise I have in my machine. he was right on the money. I did as he told me and wella. I found that the cog between the motor and tub was ed. So tomorrow I hope to go down to this shop I know. Hopefully they will have the part and I can do my wash. Plus my roommates too can. Okay it is passed my bed time, so good night and I will talk with you later on this week. Hopefully have some pictures of these new students to share. Please keep them in prayer. remember their ages are 17 go 32. most of them are 17 to 19. Remember when you were at that age. I sure do and I know I would not have been here. That was because I was not a Christian until I turn 45 years old. So 17 to 19 was party time for me. Okay enough. Bye Tom.

Hello, this week is almost over.
This Sunday is our time to come together as a staff and Patmos students to get to know and understand more about each other. We will be playing games and just some fun stuff. We are getting today, 8 s and 9 guys. Their ages are form 17 to 30 years old. I will write more about them after tomorrows thing.
Hey all I ask is if you think of us here, PLEASE keep us in (all) prayer. The evil one is reallllllllly trying to destroy what we are trying to build. This is not just building but friendships and just working as a team. Like I said before I will let you see some pictures about tomorrow.

Guess who???
Thursday, August 21, 2008
Hello all, we are still having trouble with internet.
I cleaned up around the pipes and Adam called a guy in to fix them. The reason is last time I fixed lines under ground, water kept getting inside the pipes. So I ask Adam to see what this guy would do. The guy came out, not while anyone was there. So I didn't talk with him. So he looked it over and called Adam back and told him what he is going to do. Put in a large electric box, above ground and repair the lines that way. He didn't show back up today. So I think I will give it a shot tomorrow.
Okay enough about that. Now the first part of the morning I was told all of the power is out now at the Camp. I went over there and saw that one leg was the only power coming in. I just told the Lord this is Yours. I got in my truck and took a ride down to the canals. I needed to talk with Him more. I got down there and just sat and ask Him questions. I sat and just prayed and relax. It was nice. I got back and started working on some things else. Just enough trouble to keep me on my knees. I got the power back up, by His GRACE. The reason of the day went okay. I am looking forward in seeing tomorrow now. Enjoy your day and JUST KEEP TRUSTING HIM.

Take every thought captive, by Max Lucado
Today’s jealousy is tomorrow’s temper tantrum.
Today’s bigotry is tomorrow’s crime.
Today’s anger is tomorrow’s abuse.
Today’s is tomorrow’s ery.
Today’s greed is tomorrow’s embezzlement.
Today’s guilt is tomorrow’s fear.
Could that be why Paul writes, “Love … keeps no record of wrongs” (1 Cor.
13:5 NIV)?
Some folks don’t know we have an option.
Paul says we do: “We capture every thought and make it give up and obey
Christ” (2 Cor. 10:5).
Do you hear some battlefield jargon in that passage—“capture every thought,”
“make it give up” and “obey Christ”? You get the impression that we are
the soldiers and the thoughts are the enemies.
It was for Jesus. Remember the thoughts that came his way courtesy of the
mouth of Peter? Jesus had just prophesied his , burial, and resurrection,
but Peter couldn’t bear the thought of it. “Peter took Jesus aside and told
him not to talk like that.… Jesus said to Peter, ‘Go away from me, Satan! You
are not helping me! You don’t care about the things of God, but only about
the things people think are important’” (Matt. 16:22–23).
See the decisiveness of Jesus?
What if you did that? What if you took every thought captive? What if you
took the counsel of Solomon: “Be careful what you think, because your thoughts
run your life” (Prov. 4:23).
You are not a victim of your thoughts. You have a vote. You have a voice. You
can exercise thought prevention. You can also exercise thought permission.
Change the thoughts, and you change the person. If today’s thoughts are
tomorrow’s actions, what happens when we fill our minds with thoughts of God’s
love? Will standing beneath the downpour of his grace change the way we feel
about others?
Paul says absolutely! It’s not enough to keep the bad stuff out. We’ve got
to let the good stuff in. It’s not enough to keep no list of wrongs. We have
to cultivate a list of blessings. The same verb Paul uses for keeps in the
phrase “keeps no list of wrongs” is used for think in Philippians 4:8: “
Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is
anything worthy of praise, think about these things” (RSV). Thinking conveys
the idea of pondering—studying and focusing, allowing what is viewed to have an
impact on us.
Rather than store up the sour, store up the sweet.

What a great morning,
As this next week comes up, I am asking you to pray for one of our staff, Adam. He will be going over to Fort Lauderdale,Fl. For rest and hopefully, to get some well needed things. Like a air compressor, pressure washer and maybe a truck or golf cart or even tram. I have put in my request and it doesn't hurt to ask. RIGHT?
Well the Summer Camp is done now and we will be gearing up for Patmos #4. That will be at the end of this month, Aug. At this time we have 8 guys and 8 s coming. So please keep them in prayer too. they really will need it when they reach here. Pastor Chet I hope has been getting come rest and I know he will be on fire for this next term.

Hey long time for a up date.
Okay enough on that, this last weekend, I had a chance to take a couple of my friends to differ places. The pictures above are them. The first picture is at a tent at a Junkcoo feast. This is just one of the out fit they use for the parades. The next picture is some more friends at the All Saints Camp. I have talked about this before. This Camp is where my old church is trying to fix up and make it look and just be better than before. Well that is it about what is happening around here.

This is a joke,
Of course, in due time, he did pass away and the two s kept their promise. They set off from Clearwater Beach with their uncle all stitched up in a burial bag and loaded onto their rowboat.
After a while Chrissy says, 'Do you think we're out far enough,Barbie?' Barbie slipped over the side and finding the water only knee deep said, 'nope, not yet Chrissy'. So they row a little farther....
Again Chrissy asks Barbie, 'Do you think we're out far enough now?
Once again Barbie slips over the side and almost immediately says, 'No, this will never do, the water is only up to my chest.'
So on they row and row and row, and finally Barbie slips over the side and disappears. Quite a bit of time goes by and poor Chrissy is really getting worried when suddenly Barbie breaks the surface gasping for breath.
Well is it deep enough yet, Sis?'
'Yes, finally. Hand me the shovel.'

Remember Noah?
said:
Once again, the earth has become wicked and over-populated, and I see the
end of all flesh before me.
Build another Ark and save 2 of every living thing along with a few good
humans.
He gave Noah the blueprints, saying: You have 6 months to build the Ark
before I will start the unending rain for 40 days and 40 nights.
Six months later, the Lord looked down and saw Noah weeping in his yard -
but no Ark.
Noah! He roared, I'm about to start the rain! Where is the Ark ?
Forgive me, Lord, begged Noah, 'but things have changed.
I needed a building permit.
I've been arguing with the inspector about the need for a sprinkler system.
My neighbors claim that I've violated the neighborhood zoning laws by
building the Ark in my yard and exceeding the height limitations.
We had to go to the Development Appeal Board for a decision.
Then the Department of Transportation demanded a bond be posted for the
future costs of moving power lines
And other overhead obstructions, to clear the passage for the Ark 's move to
the sea.
I told them that the sea would be coming to us, but they would hear nothing
of it.
Getting the wood was another problem. There's a ban on cutting local trees
in order to save the spotted owl.
I tried to convince the environmentalists that I needed the wood to save the
owls - but no go!
When I started gathering the animals, an animal rights group sued me.
They insisted that I was confining wild animals against their will.
They argued the accommodations were too restrictive, and it was cruel and
inhumane
To put so many animals in a confined space.
Then the EPA ruled that I couldn't build the Ark until they'd conducted an
environmental impact study on your proposed flood.
I'm still trying to resolve a complaint with the Human Rights Commission on
how many minorities I'm supposed to hire for my building crew.
Immigration and Naturalization are checking the green-card status of most of
the people who want to work.
The trades unions say I can't use my sons. They insist I have to hire only
Union workers with Ark-building experience. To make matters worse, the IRS seized all my assets, claiming I'm trying to
leave the country illegally with endangered species.
So, forgive me, Lord, but it would take at least 10 years for me to finish
this Ark.
Suddenly the skies cleared, the sun began to shine, and a rainbow stretched
across the sky.
Noah looked up in wonder and asked,
'You mean you're not going to destroy the world?'
'No,' said the Lord.
'The government beat me to it.'
I am back at Wayne's and Linda's home.
