ALC Fun Day April 17, 2006 Posted by Picasa

Hello my friends. This is about another Fun Day at ALC/ Visit to Florida

Well we had another fun day here at ALC. Boy it was a great time. We figured there were about 1400 people that paid at the gate. We had a couple of other things going on, Easter Egg Hunt, Puppet Show, plus a lot of other things. I just want to just tell you it went well. We had started out with 400 hamburgs to sell and we ran out. I was giving tours at the Camp. I did that twice and then we got hit with not having enough volunteers. So I worked on the Popcorn Machine. Then I switched to the Candy Cotton Machine. It was a full flow of people wanting those items. I saw a lot of families. This is why we do these days, so families can spend time together. We started at 11am to 6pm. Then there was the time to clean up. We finished around 8pm. So that was a full day. The neat thing was I left for vacation, the next morning. I went back to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Got there on Tuesday 18th and it was a time to fellowship with some of my friends at Calvary FTL. I was running since I landed trying to have lunch and dinners with everyone I could. So you can say this really was not a time to relax. But I did as much as I could. Our Lord just bless the time I had, plus saw some friends that I really do miss. I had some time to spend with my family too. My sisters and their husbands were in town too. So it was a good time. It was my mom’s birthday too. April 22. She turned 84 years young. She really was surprise to see me. I didn’t tell her that I was coming. So I am back here in the Bahamas and ready to get some work done. So please if you read this, would you just leave a comment? I am not sure if anyone is reading this.

These are the Youth from Calvary Ft.Lauderdale Fl.
Plus some from All Saints CampPosted by Picasa

This one is about a group of Missionaries

It started back in the beginning of the week. 20 youth plus leaders came here to invade this island, (New Providence, Bahamas). Boy did they come and our Lord just used them to the fullest. Their first of many tasks was to hand out flyers and get ready for an onslaught of younger kids at this park called Flamingo Park. They set up all the areas with Balloons, face painting, arts and crafts plus even had a jump rope area. The kids from the school came and my kids did a great job. They handed out many things, brackets (differ colors) to show Black, with means sin, Red, with means blood of Jesus, White, purity. Yellow, the streets in Heaven are Gold. Blue, means Baptism. Green, is for the growing we need to do, by reading our Bibles. That was just one item. We figured there was about 300 to 400 kids there and it just was a great time of ministry. But I want to tell you about the Good Friday time.
The biggest day I believe was Good Friday. That day we started out and boy was the Holy Spirit all around the places and us we went to. First stop was an elderly home, called Unity House. This place rocked, first we came in the just talk with the people there and I saw so many of our kids just start to love on them. After about ½ hour or so. Nattily and some of the kids got up and started singing songs. Then I saw this real older gentlemen get up and start to wiggle his back end. It was so neat to see that kind of energy at his age. Then even a couple of the younger girls got up with a girl named Lisa. They all where rocking with the sounds. Then from there we went to a place called All Saints, this place is for people that don’t have anything or a home. Plus most of them have aids. So we broke up in small groups and the boys went to the men side and the girls to the ladies side. I was listening to a couple of the boys talking and asking questions and just loving on them. It does me good to see our next young people getting closer to our Lord and seeing Him use them. There is a woman there; her name is Miss Motley. She has been there for many years. I have known her for the time that I have been here. 11 months. She is in her bed and doesn’t get out of it. I am not sure what is wrong with her. I believe she has aids and makes her very weak. But I can tell you this, every time I have seen her, there is a smile on her face that just glows. She knows her Bible and sometime if you ask he to read, she will go to the Psalms. I wish I had a picture of her, but I have never asked her to do that. You know how women get if they’re hair or what ever is not right. She is not like that but I just might ask next time I go up there.
The last place for Good Friday was at the orphans home, called Ranfurly Home for Children. These kids are from 12 to 18 years old and we have had the chance in the pass to have them come to our Adventure Learning Centre, to help us out. So these kids have known us for a while now. Our kids got along great with the younger ones and they did their dramas and just fit right in. Guys I know I can explain the whole trip but I know by now you have stopped reading and gone to someplace else. So At this time I just want to tell you how much Jesus Loves you and I do too. Bye Tom, Phil 4:13

This is one I have been talking about, Eeror Posted by Picasa

This is about this week coming

Hello everyone,
It is sure nice of you to come and join with me this time. I have been walking with The Lord now for almost ten (10) years. He has blessed me beyond any thing that I could imagine. Well at this time I would like to share a story with you about this week that coming along. This is the week that our Lord came into a city called Jerusalem, more than 2000 years ago. Well the place I want to take you is in Matthew chapter 21 verses 1 to 11. They have just walked into an area called Bethphage on Mount Olives. He sends two of His disciples, 2) saying to them “Go to the village ahead of you and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. (Remember this part I will come back to it) Untie them and bring them to me. 3) If anyone says anything to you, tell him that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”4) This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet
5) “Say to the daughter of Zion ‘See your king comes to you gentle and riding on a donkey. On a colt, the foal of a donkey’ 6) The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. 7) They brought the donkey and colt, place their cloaks on them, and Jesus sat on them. 8) A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 9) The crowds that went ahead of Him and those that followed shouted.
“Hosanna to the Son of David” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of The Lord “ “Hosanna in the highest!” 10) When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?” 11) The crowd answered. “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”
Okay now where they are talking about the donkey I am thinking about the donkeys we have here at Adventure Learning Centre. We have two at this time. The sad part is there was three a couple of years ago. But back then someone left them out in the back grass lands. That night they didn’t bring them back to their stales. So during the night (we think) a pack of dogs got into the (Elect) fenced area and killed the mother and did a lot of damage to other two. So now there is Eeror and Rue. The picture that you are looking at is Eeror and if you look at his back you can see a brown line going across it. Don’t have another picture to show the two lines that I am talking about. But looking down on his back you can see a cross. The story tells that he is the kind of donkey that Jesus rode Plus, His mother rode going into Bethlehem. Now just last week I was told that they don’t have these kinds of donkeys in Israel. Doesn’t still sound like a great story? Well you all know what happens at the end of this week. Please remember how they all cheered for Him and how they all believed that He was the King. But we all come short and forget that part. So remember this coming Easter what it is all about. Jesus Christ Our Lord. Please leave any comments or ideas. I do check this web page once a day. May He bless you this coming week and I pray that you see Him too.

Fun Days at Adenture Learning Centre

We are having another Fun Day here at ALC. It is the day after Easter, Monday.
Well to give you an idea what is a fun day? The public is invited and it only cost $4.00 dollars per person, under 2 years old free. Well we open up and by reading the second sign you have a lot to choose from. Horse back riding, train ride, bouncy castle, Planetarium Show and climb a mountain too. Now this does cost a couple of bucks, but it really is worth it. Remember where we are Bahamas. There is no place like this around here. Just thinking about it, we don't even have a bowling alley. So this is a highlight for most kids. Now let me tell you about the FREE stuff. Easter egg hunt, scavenger hunt, super side, adventure playground, kids movies, petting zoo and even face painting. The real highlight is getting a tour of the Camp; remember I am the acting Camp director. So that will be my job. Boy just telling the kids about it, they have been looking forward to this day to come. We have four Fun Days, June, (Water Manna). Then in Oct the (Founders Day) Fun day. They use to do Christmas too, but we have not had enough help to put it all together. So this last Christmas, no Fun Day. Starting this next week we will have A frame signs up around the island. This is a way of letting the people know. Plus next week we will hand out flyers at the round-a-bouts too. We just want to have this place rocking. The last two I have seen here was an avg. of 900 to 1000 people coming through our gates. So please keep this day in prayer for us and if you want to, come on over, let me know. Well I have taken enough of you time now. So I will say good bye and may our Lord just bless your socks off. Bye Tom, Phil 4:13
