God is in control.

Date: TODAY
To: YOU
From: GOD
Subject: YOU
Reference: LIFE

This is God. Today I will be handling all your problems for you. I do not
need your help so have a nice day and be a blessing to others.

I love you. And remember... if life happens to deliver a situation to you
that you cannot handle, do not att
empt to resolve it yourself! Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God
to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. Once the matter is placed into
the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the
wonderful things that are present in your life now.

Should you decide to send this to a friend; Thank you. You may have
touched their life in ways you will never know!

Sincerely,
God

Hello all, I received this from a friend. of mine.

Dear Friends,

The recent swine flu outbreak has become of extreme concern both locally and
abroad. Kindly note the tips below, pay particular attention to your team
members and take every precaution to protect yourselves and your family at
this time.

Steps for Prevention of Influenza

Here are some precautions everyone should follow now and throughout the
year to increase protection from the flu.

1. Wash your hands often. Regular hand washing, with soap and water is
very effective in preventing the spread of respiratory viruses, such as
the flu. If you can't wash with soap and water, alcohol-based gels and
wipes can be used. The gel should be rubbed until it's dry.
2. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Those are "major points of
entry" for all kinds of germs, particularly those that cause colds and
the flu.
3. Cover your nose and mouth. If you're about to sneeze or cough, put
your hand or a handkerchief over your nose and mouth or sneeze or cough
into your sleeve.
4. If you're sick stay home, particularly if you're running a fever or
sneezing or coughing a lot.
5. If you are experiencing the following symptoms, contact your doctor
to receive the appropriate care:
a. High fever
b. Muscular pain and intense head and nasal congestion
c. Reddening of the eyes
d. Dry cough
Overall, practice good health habits. To keep your immune system as
strong as possible, get plenty of sleep, eat nutritious food, drink
plenty of water and other fluids and try to reduce your stress.

Tax time is apond us AGAIN.

Hey I know we all have had to do this Tax ting. This might help us reflect on what we as Christians really do have. Please right click and drag, then copy and then paste on web.
http://home.comcast.net/~singingman7/Taxes.htm

Just a side note. I have had my taxes done by a good friend. She has done this for me for the last three years. She has not charged me or even ask for anything in return. Plus one more thing, she mailed my return to me here, Bahama. and it cost her $23.00 just to send this to me. Plus it took over three weeks to get to me.
Where I am going with this is, as missionary I to need to pay taxes too. That is right. last two years I paid into the tax program, over $1500..00. Then this year I had to pay $968.00. The reason is I am paying for my social security. Which is 15% of my income. Which this year I received just a little bit over $6000.00 I have been told to that everyone has to pay this. The reason is I am what you call a self employed. I know it sound crazy but I have to do what Romans 13 talks about, submit to authority. So folks please take the time and reflect on this small note that is attacked. He has been soooooo faithful to me and I know He is the one that will provide the funds to my account. I have paid this in faith and I just love to share all that He is doing in my life and I know He is doing so much more in each other's. If you have any stories or things that you would like to share with me or even on my blog. Please send them to me and we will see what is going on in our lives. Thank you again for your prayers and I ask that if He has spoken to you about anything. Please let me know. Thank you for your time and look forward in hearing form you. If you believe someone else will be blessed by this, pass it on.

Last night was our Single's meeting.

You can see some pictures below of some of our friends. Well we are going through this book called Safe People. This is about how we as Christians and even non Christians are safe and unsafe people. Just by reading this book I have found out that I, that right I Tom are sometimes not a safe person. What this is talking about is we all have our moments when we do something that is not right or even hurt others. Veda, our leader, she was telling of a time when she want to have our group use this book, Safe People. How I, Tom ask her all kinds of questions about this book. Like I didn't trust her choose of books. In my defence is I went on line to the web page of this book and didn't see anything that I believe we as a group should do. I am talking about I didn't see Christ is this book. But now as I have read it I can see Christ through out this book. I am just as I said before sometimes not a safe person. If you read this book you would understand whatI am talking about.
Okay enough on that.
We even played a game about what trust is. Plus like always we had some great food too. It was China food. You know food that people from China make? If you have ever read my blog before you would understand that my words are some what different.

Yes this is our Single's group again.

This is a inter view with God. Have a Great day.

Three contractors are bidding.

Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the Government house
in Nassau.
One from Abaco, another from Freeport, and the third, from Nassau.
They go with a government official to examine the fence
The Abaco contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring, then
works some figures with a pencil. 'Well', he says, 'I figure the job will run about $900: $400 for materials, $400 for my crew and $100 profit for me.'
The Freeport contractor also does some measuring and figuring, and then says, 'I can do this job for $700: $300 for materials, $300 for my crew and $100 profit for me.'
The Nassau contractor doesn't measure or figure but leans over to the
Government official and whispers, '$2,700.'
The official, incredulous, says, 'You didn't even measure like the other guys!
How did you come up with such a high figure?'
The Nassau contractor whispers back, '$1000 for me, $1000 for you, and we hire the guy from Freeport to fix the fence.'
'Done!' replies the government official.
And that friends, is how it all works in the Bahamas!

A house becomes a home.

'A house becomes a home when you can write 'I love you' on the
furniture.'
I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure
things were just perfect - 'in case someone came over'
Finally I realized one day that no-one came over; they were all
out living life and having fun!
NOW, when people visit,I don't have to explain the'condition'
of my home
They are more interested in hearing about the things I've been
doing while I was away living life and having fun.
If you haven't figured this out yet, please heed this advice.
Life is short. Enjoy it! Dust if you must ........
but wouldn't it be better to paint a picture or write a letter, bake cookies or
a cake and lick the spoon or plant a seed,
ponder the difference between want and need?
Dust if you must, but there's not much time . .. . ...
with tea to drink, rivers to swim and mountains to climb , music to hear and
books to read, friends to cherish and life to lead.
Dust if you must, but the world's out there with the sun in your eyes, the wind
in your hair, a flutter of snow, a shower of rain. This day will not come around, again.
Dust if you must , but bear in mind, old age will come and it's not kind. .. ..
And when you go - and go you must - you, yourself will make more dust!
Share this with all the wonderful women and men in your life.
I JUST DID.
It's not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells
what kind of life you have lived.

Good Tuesday morning to all,

The pictures you see below were taken this last Friday and Saturday mornings. When I first came to this island I did notice two lights that have not worked since I have been here. That is almost 4 years. I have looked at these lights saying maybe they don't think they are needed at these two corners? The sad thing is I have seen some small crashes there since. Where I am going with this is, The government is not the one that is over seeing them. They have given this contract to a private contractor. In the last two weeks these lights have been burning out and I believe they only need new bulbs? I am not sure why no one is fixing them? Oh well I guess someone is going to have to be killed before they are fixed. I have heard people talk about it on the radio stations too about this.
Please I need to explain that this country is only 35 years old, I understand that, but it should take charge and let the contractor know, they need to fix these lights.

Yes Mema had two babies.

This last Easter Fun Day, what happen?

It is soooooo GOOD to see how our Lord works in us each and every day. Yes this last fun day was really one of our best. I have been told we had over 1300 people come through our gates. If you count the little one,2 and under. There was over 1500. Eldora told us during our last staff meeting that, this Easter will be more people. the reason is a lot of folks are not doing that well with the way of money. You know as well as I do, people through out the world have lost their jobs and even some their homes. So this is why we beleive it went soooooo well. People can aford $5.00 and even have some cash to buy food and just enjoy the day.
My ministry this year was to drive the train. Now you all know how much time and work we did to get this train looking good? I had the chance to drive it and see the faces and hear the kids enjoying it so much. I thank my Lord first of all. But I need to thank Bob too. He is the one that gave me the push to reapair it and then Adam to paint it. I am sooooooo GLAD that, that is what we did.

These are just a couple of pictures of our Easter Fun Day

I saw this picture at Shelly's home.

It is so hard to see Good Friday come and go.

Yes it is Good Friday. I myself look on this day as the day our Lord gave up His life for me. It should be the same for all of us. I thank him for that and I know one of these days I will see him face to face just because of what He did for me to be there in heaven.
Okay the day started out by going to church. Pastor Lee taught on His cross and why He did what He did for you and me.
Then after that I just drove down by the area that the guys sell fish. This day I believe is the busiest day for them. Everyone here has to eat fish. Even the people that don't understand about what the day is about.
Then I was invited to a friend's home for a nice lunch. Guess what I ate? Snapper and boy it was soooooo good. Plus the company was nice to be around. In the forth picture down is a couple of my friends. Joy, Sylvia and Shelly. Shelly's mom would have been there, but she was not feeling that good at the time. So we sat around and just had a nice time. After that I just went home and took a nap. Hey I am not sure if you guys out there realize how nice a nap is? Please if you get a chance. Just for the fun of it, try it. Lay down and just rest. It really is a wonderful.

This is our Good Friday, Bahamas style

Here is our new bridge

Yes we are building a wall. I have been told this wall is a good one.

This was this morning sunrise.

A Prayer for our nation, plus world too.

AFTER A DAY OF CONTEMPLATION AND SOUL SEARCHING, I HAVE DECIDED TO
> REACH OUT TO MY FRIENDS AND RELATIVES AND ASK YOU TO DO SOMETHING THAT
> HAS BEEN TROUBLING ME FOR A LONG TIME.
>
> OUR NATION IS/HAS BEEN ON THE SLIPPERY SLOPE FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU
> LOOK AROUND YOU WILL FIND CORRUPTION, GREED, MORAL DECAY AND A STEADY
> MOVE AWAY FROM THE THINGS THAT MADE US GREAT. THE PRINCIPLES UPON WHICH
> THIS NATION WAS FOUNDED ARE NO LONGER OUR BACKBONE. HOWEVER, WE CAN
> REVERSE THIS TREND.
>
> IN GOD'S WORD HE STATES,"IF MY PEOPLE WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME WILL
> HUMBLE THEMSELVES, AND PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE, AND TURN FROM THEIR
> WICKED WAYS, THEN I WILL HEAR FROM HEAVEN, AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SINS
> AND HEAL THEIR LAND."
>
> I AM CONVINCED THAT WE MUST PRAY FOR OUR NATION AND ITS LEADERS AND ASK
> FOR FORGIVENESS. SO I ASK YOU TO JOIN ME IN THIS PLEA TO OUR LORD.
>
> WOULD YOU PLEASE SEND THIS TO AT LEAST 25 PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK,
> (SEND IT TO ALL OF THEM). ASK THEM TO PRAY EVERYDAY. 25 TO THE 5TH
> POWER IS 9,765,625 PEOPLE. IMAGINE IF EACH PERSON REACHES TEN OTHERS.
>
> IF YOU DO AND THEY COMPLY, WE WILL LIFT UP MILLIONS OF PRAYERS A DAY TO
> OUR CREATOR. HE WILL HEAR US AND IN FAITH WILL ANSWER.
>
> Let me just add a quote from Ronald Reagan - "If we ever forget that
> we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under." I
> truly believe this is why the United States of America is in the shape
> we are in today. Most people have forgotten that we are ONE NATION
> UNDER GOD! Let us as Christians stand up and remind people of this.
> ~ Have a Blessed Day!
>
> GOD IS THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN HELP US AND ALL HE WANTS IS FOR US TO PRAY
> AND TURN TO HIM AND TURN FROM OUR WICKED WAYS AND HE WILL HEAL OUR
> BEAUTIFUL AMERICA ,,,,,,,,

Why Did Jesus Fold the Napkin?

This is one I can honestly say I have never seen circulating in the emails so; if it touches you, you may want to forward it.
Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? I never noticed this....
The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes.
The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed separate from the grave clothes.
Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance.
She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!'
Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other disciple outran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in.
Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side.
Was that important? Absolutely! Is it really significant? Yes!
In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition.
When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it.
The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished.
Now if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table.
The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done'.
But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because..........
The folded napkin meant, 'I'm coming back!'

Don't tell Pastor Bob.

Yes you can see I do have a friend or two.

The two guys below are friends of mine. I have known them now for over three years. Franky has been with out the use of his legs now for over fours year. He pretty much lives in a wheel chair. He has shared with me a lot about his life and all the things he has been part of. Then John he has been the guy to keep all the people at Unity House cleaned and taken care of. John he 64 years old. The reason he is there is he has a problem with his mind sometimes, plus he doesn't have any help coming in to have him stay at a other place. Unity House is a place for people that are pretty much on their last stand. This place I know I have shared about it before, but it still is a roof over their heads and they get three meals a day too. So over all they are taken care of. But the way is not to good. During the day they all sit under a carport. There is no TV or even radio playing. So while sitting there they pretty much sleep and just lay around there.
Enough of that. I try to take John and Franky out for the day. So yesterday I picked them up and took them to the mall here. We walked around and looked at different things. Then we got a Star Bucks' coffee. Just sat there and talked about the people walking around in the mall. It really was a nice time to relax and just talk. Then I got them some lunch and we then went into the movies. We saw a movie Madea Goes to Jail. It was a good time and even funny too. After that I brought them back to my place and we ate again and watched DVD, Yes Man. That one was funny But there was some stuff not to good.
Over all we had a great time and I hope to be still part of their lives down the road. Please if you think of them say a prayer for them.

A couple of my friends from Unty House

This is to all of my family and friends.

I have just made my plains to go to Fort Lauderdale for a nice time to relax and refocus. Like I have explained before about the problems I have been dealing with. I really believe it is the time I have been here and I need to get away for a short time. You can understand if you have been watching my blog? Being here is the best thing I have ever done. But while here I have been trying to please people not God always. You know where it talks about in
Gal 1:10 For do I now persuade men or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still please men I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.
Guys and s out there, I love all I do here and I am really trying to get the work done but I know when one job is finished I have another one right behind it. That is why I use a list and try not to over whelm myself by it. I just look at today and try to get it done. While Bob and Faye were here, we really did get some work done and I am so glad to hear that they will be back to help us again near the end of the year.
What I am trying to say is I need to get away for a little while and I am asking you all to keep me in prayer during that time. I will be leaving June 2 to June 15th. I know it seems to be a long way off, but the way time flies around here, it will be here. I want to say thank you to all of you that have been praying for me and even writing back to ask me more about what is going on. I am sooooo blessed to have family like you all and realize the love you all have for me and what we do here at the ALC.
One more thing, Our lord has been very faithful in the funds, during this time away I am going to try setting up a time to share at differ Home Bible groups at Calvary Chapel. If you are part of one, PLEASE send me your address or the leaders address so I can start letting people know when I will be able to come. Remember this is my main means to share and let folks know where I am. I will have a small picture show and just a time to share all He is doing in my life while here. I only need 15 minutes.
My e mail address is
toms@alcabahamas.org
Thank you again. I will remind you this again. Bye Tom

This while setting it up. Thanks guys

Just a quick note,

About three years ago, Will Scout and his dad started welding up a wood rack. This rack has been sitting in back of the maintenance trailer since then. We did put some wood on it, but it really was not what we needed. So Bob and I cut off some of the pieces and welded them on. So now the picture you see above is the finished product. We changed it to a pipe rack. The reason is if we used it as a wood rack we would have to enclose it all the way. That would be the only way to protect it. So Bob and I cleared out a area under the trailer for the wood and now we have a large pipe rack. Which is very easy to use and store. The rack that we used before was falling apart and it did have enough room on it for all we have. So Bob, the rack is up and I hope you enjoy your fruits in all you did here. You can see I did finish the two top rolls. The guys you see here are the ones that cleaned it off the old one and moved the new one in and restocked it. During our time we had some trouble with a wasp nest. Not sure where it was but I found out they really didn't like me pushing and pulling on the pipes. One of them came along side me and kissed my ear. Boy did that hurt, plus even today it still throbs. Plus I noticed my ear is double the size. Okay enough about that. I hope and pray you all are well and I hope to hear from you sooooooon.

Jeanne saw this place and had to stop.
