I really hope and pray that you take five mintues to watch this and see what you think about your time on this earth, how long more do we have????

http://www.cbn.com/media/player/index.aspx?s=/vod/SAF13v5_WS

It is long but realy worth reading.

A successful business man was growing old and knew it was time
to choose a successor to take over the business.

Instead of choosing one of his Directors or his children, he
decided to do something different. He called all the young
executives in his company together.

He said, "It is time for me to step down and choose the next
CEO. I have decided to choose one of you. "The young executives
were Shocked, but the boss continued. "I am going to give each
one of you a SEED today - one very special SEED. I want you to
plant the seed, water it, and come back here one year from
today with what you have grown from the seed I have given you.
I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one
I choose will be the next CEO."

One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the
others, received a seed. He went home and excitedly, told his
wife the story. She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and
he planted the seed. Everyday, he would water it and watch to see
if it had grown. After about three weeks, some of the other executives began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow.

Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew.

Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still
nothing.

By now, others were talking about their plants, but Jim didn't have a plant and he felt like a failure.

Six months went by -- still nothing in Jim's pot. He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Jim didn't say anything to his colleagues, however, he just kept watering and fertilizing the soil - He so wanted the seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company brought their plants to the CEO for inspection.

Jim told his wife that he wasn't going to take an empty pot. But she asked him to be honest about what happened. Jim felt sick to his stomach, it was going to be the most embarrassing moment of his life, but he knew his wife was right. He took his empty pot to the board room. When Jim arrived, he was amazed at
the variety of plants grown by the other executives. They were beautiful -- in all shapes and sizes. Jim put his empty pot on the floor and many of his colleagues laughed, a few felt sorry for him!

When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives.

Jim just tried to hide in the back. "My, what great plants, trees and flowers you have grown," said the CEO. "Today one of you will be appointed the next CEO!"

All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with his empty pot. He ordered the Financial Director to bring him to the front. Jim was terrified. He thought, "The CEO knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will have me fired!"

When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his seed - Jim told him the story.

The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim, and then announced to the young executives, "Behold your next Chief Executive Officer!

His name is Jim!" Jim couldn't believe it. Jim couldn't even grow his seed.

"How could he be the new CEO?" the others said.

Then the CEO said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone in this room a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead - it was not possible for them to grow.

All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants and flowers. When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Jim was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new
Chief Executive Officer!"

* If you plant honesty, you will reap trust

* If you plant goodness, you will reap friends

* If you plant humility, you will reap greatness

* If you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment

* If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective

* If you plant hard work, you will reap success

* If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation

So, be careful what you plant now; it will determine what you will reap later.
Think about this for a minute....
If I happened to show up on your door step crying, would you care?

If I called you and asked you to pick me up because something happened, would you come?

If I had one day left to live my life, would you be part of that last day?

If I needed a shoulder to cry on, would you give me yours?

This is a test to see who your real
friends are or if you are just someone to talk to you when they are bored.

Do you know what the relationship is between your two eyes?

They blink together,
they move together,
they cry together,
they see things together,
and they sleep together,
but they never see each other;
....that's what friendship is...
Your aspiration is your motivation, your
motivation is your belief,
your belief is your peace,
your peace is your target,
your target is heaven, and life is like hard core torture without it!

It's 'World Best Friends Week'

Who is your best friend?

Send this to all your good friends, even me, if I am one of them.

See how many you get back.

If you get more than 3 then you really are a lovable person...

Save the Earth.... it's the only planet with chocolate!!!!

Shoe Bombers sentence - Judge Young

Verified snopes.com: Judge William Young -- Shoe Bomber Sentencing

Couldn't help but share such meaninful words. Pass it on

It's worth reading.

Remember the guy who got on a plane with a bomb built into his shoe and tried to light it?

Did you know his trial is over?
Did you know he was sentenced?
Did you see/hear any of the judge's comments on TV or Radio?
Didn't think so.!!!
Everyone should hear what the judge had to say.

Ruling by Judge William Young, US District Court.

Prior to sentencing, the Judge asked the defendant if he had anything to say His response: After admitting his guilt to the court for the record, Reid also admitted his 'allegiance to Osama bin Laden, to Islam, and to the religion of Allah,' defiantly stating, 'I think I will not apologize for my actions,' and told the court 'I am at war with your country.'

Judge Young then delivered the statement quoted below:

Judge Young: 'Mr. Richard C. Reid, hearken now to the sentence the Court imposes upon you.

On counts 1, 5 and 6 the Court sentences you to life in prison in the custody of the United States Attorney General. On counts 2, 3, 4and 7, the Court sentences you to 20 years in prison on each count, the sentence on each count to run consecutively. (That's 80 years.)

On count 8 the Court sentences you to the mandatory 30 years again, to be served consecutively to the 80 years just imposed. The Court imposes upon you for each of the eight counts a fine of $250,000 that's an aggregate fine of $2 million. The Court accepts the government's recommendation with respect to restitution and orders restitution in the amount of $298.17 to Andre Bousquet and $5,784 to American Airlines.

The Court imposes upon you an $800 special assessment. The Court imposes upon you five years supervised release simply because the law requires it. But the life sentences are real life sentences so I need go no further.

This is the sentence that is provided for by our statutes. It is a fair and just sentence. It is a righteous sentence.

Now, let me explain this to you. We are not afraid of you or any of your terrorist co-conspirators, Mr. Reid. We are Americans. We have been through the fire before. There is too much war talk here and I say that to everyone with the utmost respect. Here in this court, we deal with individuals as individuals and care for individuals as individuals. As human beings, we reach out for justice.

You are not an enemy combatant. You are a terrorist. You are not a soldier in any war. You are a terrorist. To give you that reference, to call you a soldier, gives you far too much stature. Whether the officers of government do it or your attorney does it, or if you think you are a soldier, you are not----- you are a terrorist. And we do not negotiate with terrorists. We do not meet with terrorists. We do not sign documents with terrorists. We hunt them down one by one and bring them to justice.

So war talk is way out of line in this court You are a big fellow. But you are not that big. You're no warrior. I've known warriors. You are a terrorist. A species of criminal that is guilty of multiple attempted murders. In a very real sense, State Trooper Santiago had it right when you first were taken off that plane and into custody and you wondered where the press and the TV crews were, and he said: 'You're no big deal.'

You are no big deal.

What your able counsel and what the equally able United States attorneys have grappled with and what I have as honestly as I know how tried to grapple with, is why you did something so horrific. What was it that led you here to this courtroom today?

I have listened respectfully to what you have to say. And I ask you to search your heart and ask yourself what sort of unfathomable hate led you to do what you are guilty and admit you are guilty of doing? And, I have an answer for you. It may not satisfy you, but as I search this entire record, it comes as close to understanding as I know.

It seems to me you hate the one thing that to us is most precious. You hate our freedom. Our individual freedom. Our individual freedom to live as we choose, to come and go as we choose, to believe or not believe as we individually choose. Here, in this society, the very wind carries freedom. It carries it everywhere from sea to shining sea. It is because we prize individual freedom so much that you are here in this beautiful courtroom, so that everyone can see, truly see, that justice is administered fairly, individually, and discretely. It is for freedom's sake that your lawyers are striving so vigorously on your behalf, have filed appeals, will go on in their representation of you before other judges.

We Americans are all about freedom. Because we all know that the way we treat you, Mr. Reid, is the measure of our own liberties. Make no mistake though. It is yet true that we will bear any burden; pay any price, to preserve our freedoms. Look around this courtroom. Mark it well. The world is not going to long remember what you or I say here. The day after tomorrow, it will be forgotten, but this, however, will long endure.

Here in this courtroom and courtrooms all across America , the American people will gather to see that justice, individual justice, justice, not war, individual justice is in fact being done. The very President of the United States through his officers will have to come into courtrooms and lay out evidence on which specific matters can be judged and juries of citizens will gather to sit and judge that evidence democratically, to mold and shape and refine our sense of justice.

See that flag, Mr. Reid? That's the flag of the United States of America . That flag will fly there long after this is all forgotten. That flag stands for freedom. And it always will.

Mr. Custody Officer. Stand him down.

So, how much of this Judge's comments did we hear on our TV sets? We need more judges like Judge Young. Pass this around. Everyone should and needs to hear what this fine judge had to say. Powerful words that strike home.

Clean joke and you will even laugh

**This is one of the best clean jokes I've seen in a while!**
**Jesus and Satan were having an on-going argument about who was
better on the computer. They had been going at it for days, and
frankly God was tired of hearing all the bickering.**
**Finally fed up, God said, 'THAT'S IT! I have had enough. I am
going to set up a test that will run for two hours, and from those
results, I will judge who does the better job.'**
**So Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.**
**They moused.**
**They faxed.**
**They e-mailed.**
**They e-mailed with attachments.**
**They downloaded.**
**They did spreadsheets!**
**They wrote reports.**
**They created labels and cards.**
**They created charts and graphs.**
**They did some genealogy reports.**
**They did every job known to man.**
**Jesus worked with heavenly efficiency and Satan was faster than
hell.**
**Then, ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly
flashed across the sky, thunder rolled, rain poured, and, of course,
the power went off.**
**Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word
known in the underworld.**
**Jesus just sighed.**
**Finally the electricity came back on, and each of them restarted
their computers. Satan started searching frantically, screaming:**
**'It's gone! It's all GONE! 'I lost everything when the power went
out!'**
**Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files
from the past two hours of work.**
**Satan observed this and became irate. 'Wait!' he screamed. 'That's
not fair! He cheated! How come he has all his work and I don't have
any?'**
**God just shrugged and said,**
**JESUS SAVES....**

Mayo Clinic - Aspirin Heart Attacts

Mayo Clinic - Aspirin
Dr Virend Somers is a cardiologist from the Mayo Clinic and the lead author of the report in the July 29, 2008 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology
Dr. Somers reports:
Most heart attacks occur in the day, generally between 6 A.M. and noon.
Having a heart attack during the night, when the heart should be most at rest, means that something unusual happened.
Somers and his colleagues have been working for a decade to show that sleep apnea is to blame.
If you take a regular aspirin or a baby aspirin once a day, take it at night. The reason: aspirin has a 24-hour "half-life", therefore if most heart attacks happen in the wee hours of the morning the aspirin would be strongest in your system.
FYI, aspirin has a very long shelf life;
therefore, chances are the aspirin in your medicine chest that’s been there for years is probably still good. (when aspirin gets old, it smells like vinegar).
Please read on.
Bayer is making crystal aspirin that dissolves instantly on the tongue. They work much faster than the tablets.
Why keep aspirin by your bedside?
Info about Heart Attacks:
There are other symptoms of a heart attack besides pain in the left arm.
One must also be aware of intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating. However these symptoms may occur less frequently.
Note: There may be NO pain in the Chest during a heart attack.
The majority of people (about 60%) who had a heart attack during their sleep, did not wake up.
However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep.
If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins in your mouth and swallow them with a bit of water.
After wards:
call 911 phone a neighbor or a family member who lives very close by say "heart attack!" say that you have taken 2 aspirins.
Take a seat on a chair or sofa near the front door, and wait for their arrival and... do NOT lie down.
A Cardiologist stated that if each person, after receiving this e-mail, sends it to10 people, probably one life can be saved!
I have already shared the information- -
What about you?
Please forward this message;it may save lives.

7 Reason Not To Mess with Children

A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.
The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small.
The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale.
Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible.

The little girl said, 'When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah'.
The teacher asked, 'What if Jonah went to hell?'
The little girl replied, 'Then you ask him'.

A Kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's work.
As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was.
The girl replied, 'I'm drawing God.'
The teacher paused and said, 'But no one knows what God looks like.'
Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing, the girl replied, 'They will in a minute.'
A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds.
After explaining the commandment to 'honour' thy Father and thy Mother, she asked, 'Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?'
Without missing a beat one little boy (the oldest of a family) answered, 'Thou shall not kill.'

One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head.
She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, 'Why are some of your hairs white, Mum?'
Her mother replied, 'Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white.'
The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then said, 'Mummy, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?'

The children had all been photographed, and the teacher was trying to persuade them each to buy a copy of the group picture.
'Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown up and say, 'There's Jennifer, she's a lawyer,' or 'That's Michael, He's a doctor.'
A small voice at the back of the room rang out, 'And there's the teacher, she's dead.'

A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, 'Now, class, if I stood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would turn red in the face.'
'Yes,' the class said.
'Then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?'
A little fellow shouted,
'Cause your feet ain't empty.'

The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray:
'Take only ONE .... God is watching.'
Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.
A child had written a note, 'Take all you want. God is watching the apples.

It so sad to see how a fire can destory so much.

These pictures below are from a fire that burned down a company called the Betty K Shipping. I was watching our news last night and they were telling us about the company itself. It was the first shipping company to ship out of here and to Miami and to the other islands.
Plus they were saying how the ships came in to visit but some didn't even get off of them.
This pictures came from a friend of mine here, Veda. When ever there is a news story and pictures, she send them to me and others to just let us see what happens.
It was a sad day yesterday. To see this land mark being distoried. I was told this was like the Straw market burnt down in 2001. That really was a bad news for the visitors, that is pretty much where every one that comes to Nassau, want to go shopping. I know this will not be as much as that was. But over all it still will hurt down town for a while.
At this time they are not sure what happen or how it started. The good news was no one got hurt.

This place was called the Betty K Shipping Comany

Just a quit note.

Thank you for your prayers, my hand is back to normal. It is so funny how we get worried and ask God WHY? Then we go and ask for prayer.
Why is that? I look to fix myself up and when that don't work. I ask for prayer then.
So today I am asking for more prayer. I went to church yesterday and we had a blood drive going on. So I went in an gave some blood. Before you can do that, they have a long sheet of questions. Then they take your blood pressure. Mine was 134 over 93. The woman told me that was pretty high. Then I remember going to the dentist a a couple of months ago. She told me that my blood pressure was high then. I just told her, when I go to the dentist it is always high. Now maybe there might be something with this. I will go this week to get my blood tested and just get checked out. The last time I was at the doctor for a check up, he told me to get my blood tested then. I thought I would do it, but I found out the cost ($200.00)and said one of these days I do it. One of these days are going to be this week.
I am not as young as I think I am. I just don't believe what year it is any more. How can I be so old? I know it is a mind game. But in the real world I am getting older?????

What happen Friday afternoon.

I was working along side with Blaze on cleaning out the back of the maintenance trailer. I was really just showing him all that needs to get done. While pulling up a large water container, I was bit by something. I really think it was a wasp. But I have been stung many times since being here (maybe 10) and the swollen has not gone down. I have soaked my hand in Salt, MSG hot water, Faye thought this would do the trick. Then Billy stopped by that night and he told me to put ice on it and put it above my head. After all that I put some Benadryl (Faye gave me earlier) Still swollen.
Now this is Sunday morning and it still there, swollen. I hope to see my doctor today at church. Maybe he might have a answer.
Since I have been here I think I have been stung ablest ten times. Maybe my body is no able to fight it off any more. Not sure, I am not in pain but during the night it does etch. I have heard that is a good thing. That means it is healing????

I got stung by something

This is a time to reflex on what God is doing here

Yes yesterday was a bitter sweet time saying good bye to Kim. She has been part of our team now for over a couple of years. She first came here as a Patmos student. Not sure which one. But she has stayed here since then. Her main time here is to be at a place called All Saints Camp. She would work along side with Tim and Felicia Ryan there. They really had a good thing going on over there. They feed the people there during lunch time and help with what ever needed to be done. Like when someone is having a birthday, take them to a movie and get them some good food to share that day with them. I know Kim really does love the people there and has gone out of her way to help in any way possible. So she will be deeply missed and I know Tim and Felicia will miss her too. On Thursday's she would help us out at ALC front desk and answering phones and just being there to help us out too.
Then you can look at at it this way too. She has a boy friend over in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Now she can see him more often and just hang around at Calvary Chapel with some old friends that she has been part of their lives while here.

This is a fair well party for Kim.

This is a JOKE

A man had 50 yard line tickets for the Super Bowl.

As he sat down, he noticed that the seat next to him was empty.

He asked the man on the other side of the empty seat whether anyone was
sitting there.

"No," the man replied, "The seat is empty."

"This is incredible," said the first man.

"Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Super Bowl,
the biggest sporting event in the world and not use it?"

The second man replied, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. I was
supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away.

This will be the first Super bowl we haven't been together since we got
married in 1967."

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find
someone else -- a friend or relative, or even a neighbor to take the seat?"

The man shook his head. "No, they're all at the funeral."

I short story about Faye

Faye is married to a great guy named Bob. These two have been coming here to the ALC for the last four years, it might even be five years. You know I loose track of time. Well Faye has been trying to clean up our Barn. Last week Blaze and her pressured washed the Barn on the inside and out. Plus they washed down the Media Centre and other building. So now Faye has been painting them and boy what a difference it makes. It really is looking good. I now wish that the animals would not rub their bodies up adjust the walls. You know when you have a etch you need to scratch it and these guys love to scratch.
The real funny part about this is, Bob and went down to the Paint Place to buy the paint. There they keep track of your colors that you have been buying over the years. I went and looked at the color Cape Cod Stain. It looked a lot lighter. But I know it must be the correct color. I even wrote a note on the card, a while back, check this out before making this color. So the guy there made the color and it was lighter. Bob and I said it must be right? Faye started painting and it did look lighter. Oh well it will work for now. Sean the guy that over sees the Petting Farm area. He told us it looked great and he really like the lighter color. So now we have two different Cape Cod Stain colors. We can live with that. I think?

This is Mrs Faye Browning.
