Driving back home on Friday afternoon.

First rainbow.

Same Rainbow.

Just showing how far I am into my drive. Fort Pierce is 40 miles.

]
Second Rainbow

Had rain on and off, nothing to bad.

Third Rainbow.

I always drive pass this and wonder why this is?

Pulling into my area and the sun is shining down. What a wonderful drive and so peacefully. Really was surprise about how little traffic was. Good surprise. It only took 3 1/2 hours.
I enjoy visiting my family but when you are home you are at home.

Before I left to go up north.

This place is called Okay Tire. I have been dealing with Leo since I have been back in town. His place has so many things from the pass. You can see the receipt above, how much things cost back then. Those are pennies not dollars.

He has this trophy case in the waiting room. Plus books and pictures of the old days. It really is a joy to walk in and just hang out in the passed.

I guess this is one of the tires he rode on when they did racing. Plus the little guy in the back ground is their trade mark sign.

You can see they put the new tires on the back. I was told a while back that is the rule now. The reason is you need the best traction and that is you drive wheels.

I have shopped around a little and found out his prices are about the best in town.
I am very pleased with his service and how friendly they are there. I would recommend you to check his place out. It is on Dixie Highway and south of Sample Road. Pompano Beach, across the street from the The Goodyear Blip airport.

You look closely and you can see the Goodyear Blip. I am so blessed to just enjoy my area.

Okay Thanksgiving is here today.

This was a text I got in the morning. I am very blessed to have friends that pass on thing that are of the Lord. Like on Saturday I was reading Psalm 145. That whole Psalm is about praising HIM.
These are worth passing on to others.
That is what Thanksgiving is to us, Our salvation, knowing the second I leave this earth I will be in HIS Presents.

Okay this is my family, Bonita, Mark, Debbie, Greg and Jon. I am very blessed to be able to come and share a dinner with them and spend a little time too. I think we were talking about the New Star Wars coming out in Dec. They are planning on driving over to Orlando and watching it on  I MAX Theater.

I can tell you this, Greg has pretty much every kind of thing needed to cook and make a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. He did the turkey cooking and stuffing.

We had snacks and all kinds of good junk to eat before hand.

My family knows I take pictures during our time together. So when I say it is picture time, they pretty much just keep going on their way. Like I will keep eating.

Afterwards we played Yatzze. (spelling I know) guess what I got my butt kicked. These guys are pros at this game. We only played two games and I was not even close in second place.
I sure can tell you this, I really did have a wonderful time and look forward in seeing them maybe during the Christmas time?
We have not work that out yet.
I drove Bonita home and got some rest, from al of the food.

Next morning we went shopping for a couple of items at Walmart. During the morning around 7 am, I went and this place was empty. There were people but for a Black Friday. The reason I took a picture of the paper, remember on Wednesday morning, WOW what  difference? This is the whole paper for Friday morning.
Drove back and left for home myself. It only took me about 3 1/2 hours. No stopping for coffee or not even a eggnog shake at McDonald's Oh I wanted to.
I really hope and pray as you look through theses pictures you had a chance to reflex on your own family and how much they are part of our lives.
I really enjoy the time together, but then back to work happens. Which is a good ting.

Thanksgiving morning.

The night before, Bonita cooked up these three pies. She has covered all bases. Apple, Sweet Potato and Pumpkin.

This was at McDoanld's in the morning of Thanksgiving. I was thinking maybe I should buy a news paper? There was the gentlemen sitting in front of me and he had this paper. Now if you have not bought a paper for a while. I think it was $1.50 or more?  But as this guy was going through it, he really didn't seem like he was going to take it with him. He asked me and I said Thank you very much. Boy I am cheap? But look this is only the ads. It has to be around 1 inch or more of paper. The really funny thing was I got it back to Bonita's place and went through it and said it would be nice to get this or that. But at the end, NOT. Folks I really not sure what our Lord is doing in my life about buying anything. I am content in what I have and not really wanting anything. There is something wrong with me? Every time I would be traveling back to the states, I would have a shopping list. Okay what can I buy after getting there?

Okay now we have three pies to transport to Largo. Thinking how can we do this? Bonita comes out with this box. A while back she had some friends over and they had pizza for dinner. So she saved this box. Wow it worked great. The pies made it up there and some of them back home again.
Greta idea Bonita.
Tomorrow I will share about our time with the family.
Have a wonderful week-end and just enjoy today.

This was my Wednesday, took a bike ride.

This is the fishing pier in Polk City.

Folks this is one of those towns you call a One Horse Town.

I had a wonderful lunch at a place called Hungry Howies. That was a great sub. I got the Steak and Cheese. If you get a chance to go to one, stop by and enjoy.

The sad part of the whole ride was, riding home and flat tire. I don't understand some times why I get so many flats? But by His grace I fixed it and made it back.

Now this was a beautiful moon. I wish some times I would have my nice camera to take pictures like this. But the battery was dead. I use my phone most times. So the camera sits in the truck and battery doesn't last that long. I will start carrying the changer.

That right folks Thanksgiving is today!!!!

Count Your Blessings!

And don’t forget to thank Him” (Philippians 4:6).
In my daily devotional one day, the words of the song Count Your Blessings, Name Them One by One was included. I haven’t sung that song for a long time - the words are tremendous:
Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, ev’ry doubt will fly,
And you will be singing as the days go by.
What a wonderful reminder to take the time to think about what God is doing for us. Too often we focus just on the horrid things - the evil, the hurricanes, the floods and devastation and famine.
But take time every day to verbalize or write all you are thankful for. You may want to use this outline. Doing so will revitalize your soul.
Begin With Thanksgiving
Psalm 100:4 tells us,
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.”
  • Thank Him for His patience and forgiveness.
  • Thank Him for the privilege of coming into His presence.
  • Thank Him for what He has done in and through your life in the last year.
List What He Has Done
Take time to list what God has done for you. Be specific. Think through every area of your life.
Become Still Before the Lord. (Psalm 46:10)
  • Consider who God is. (Psalm 103)
  • Praise Him for His attributes. (Psalm 145)
  • Rejoice in your fellowship with Him and that He delights in you. (Proverbs 15:8)
  • Read passages of scripture and pray them back to God. (Psalms 146-150)
  • Sing to the Lord.
Lord I thank You for the beauty of the seasons. I thank You for health and strength. I thank You for people to love and people who love me. I love You God and thank for loving me first. Amen.

Yesterday I wrote about this. I just love sharing wisdom.

What is Florida's Silver Alert?

To report a missing person, or if you have information pertaining to an active Silver Alert, please call your local law enforcement immediately; do not wait.** Florida’s Silver Alert is for cognitively impaired individuals who become lost while driving a car or lost while on foot. Silver Alert is a plan to help local law enforcement in the rescue of missing persons who have a cognitive impairment, such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. Through the use of dynamic message signs along Florida roadways, Silver Alerts are broadcast to the public. When the missing person message is announced, the family will be contacted by a local Memory Disorder Center for follow-up support and services.

This is how and why they started this program.

History of Silver Alert
On Feb. 26, 2008, Mrs. Mary Zelter, of Largo, FL, drove away from her assisted living facility in her white Chrysler Sebring convertible and never returned. Mary was 86 years old, and suffered from dementia. Her body was found a week later 10 miles away in the Intracoastal Waterway. Her submerged car was nearby.

After her death, local people came together to build what they hoped would be a pilot program based in Pinellas County to prevent such tragedies in the future. Among the original committee members was Largo Police Chief Lester Aradi, Sallie Parks of the Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Pinellas Sheriff Jim Coats, and Mrs. Zelter’s daughter, Mary Lallucci. Instead of remaining a locally based pilot program in Pinellas County, their program became a statewide initiative based upon the highly successful Amber Alert for missing children.

On October 8, 2008, Governor Charlie Crist signed an Executive Order enacting the Florida Silver Alert. In June, 2009, the Florida Silver Alert Support Committee was established by the Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA).

From April through June, 2010, a DOEA grant funded The Silver Alert Project. The goal was to develop coordination and standardization of law enforcement protocols. The project was designed to provide statewide education and training to all Florida law enforcement personnel, members of the community, dementia care specialists, caregivers, and persons with Alzheimer’s disease or related disorders. The aim was to increase understanding of the benefits of the Silver Alert system and to improve public safety. In order to accomplish this, the Silver Alert Support Committee explored the causes of elopement or wandering, where a cognitively impaired person becomes lost and endangered, and also explored ways to decrease the incidence of these events.

A second DOEA grant funded the Silver Alert Support Committee from January 2011 through June 2011. The aim was to increase awareness of the Silver Alert system and ensure that Silver Alert recipients are connected to appropriate community services upon their safe return home, thus decreasing the incidence of repeat Silver Alerts.

Due to the advocacy of the Silver Alert Support Committee, Florida Silver Alert became state law during the 2011 Florida legislative session. Florida statute 937.0201, addressing missing persons, was amended to include Silver Alert. The term “missing endangered person” now includes missing adults who meet the criteria for Silver Alert. According to this law, persons providing information related to the missing person, when acting in good faith, are provided immunity from civil liability. As the result of this legislation, agencies (both law enforcement and service providers) may now communicate information about the endangered missing person among themselves and to the media. In an effort to expand Silver Alert to better accommodate our community in 2011-2012 Silver Alert is now applicable to those who are “lost on foot”.

Okay I have seen many toads and frogs.

As I was moving tables around yesterday, look at what I found? WOW, he or she is very big. My cousin was telling me about month or so, how she has this toad on her carport. Not sure what to do with it, she put a large jar over it and put it in the trash. She was telling me that these guys are poison for dogs or anything that might attack it. You know like bit it and get very sick or even hear of some small dogs not living afterwards.

These were the tables I was moving then. I called our pest control guy, Rick and he told me to pick it up and throw it in the dumpster or re local it. I threw it in the garbage dumpster. Now he or she is in garbage heaven.

Well I drove up to my cousin's place last night. She lives up in Aburndale, Fl.  While I on 95. I kept seeing this sign, Silver Alert. I was talking with a old friend about this a little while ago. I was telling her wow another old folks lost on the road again. Now guys and girls, I think silver and think of my age or older groups. I am sorry to say I still not sure what the silver alert means. I promise I will look it up right after I write this blog.
Okay it is a little chilly up this way, woke up to 53 degrees. It really was refreshing to feel the cool air and dry. But I was told by the weather man last night it will not last to long. But that is okay.

Crystal clear morning at the Walmart parking lot up here. I stopped by to get a pair of sweat pants. Then said NOT. It is beautiful out, enjoy the cool weather and stop fussing.

Who Am I Really? A victim OR a VICTOR

Posted on  by Devotionals

daily devotional
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ…”
2 Corinthians 5:17
What is keeping you from becoming the person you want to be? Do you blame it on a past experience like a traumatic childhood that’s decimated your self-worth? A gross injustice that’s robbed you of joy? A past failure that haunts you?
If we base our self-worth on a sad experience which happened in the past such as: I’m a divorcee; I’ve had cancer,  I’ve suffered abuse…This leads to defeated thinking like I’m damaged goods, this is who I am; I can’t change it.
That’s what Satan wants us to think. But it’s not true. Yes, we can’t change the past—we can’t wipe out those experiences–but we can change how we respond to them. We can be free of that trauma.  How? Turn it over to God. Release it to God. It may help to write out the painful experience, then lift it up to the ceiling and say “Lord, Jesus, I give this to you now. I want to be free of this. Thank you that you will heal me of the trauma and You will make something good out of these experiences.”
Each time another negative thought comes to you, say, “I’ve dealt with that. I’m a new person in Christ.”
When you let go of the hurts of the past, God can use those experiences to make you more empathetic and understanding of other people who have also suffered injustices.
Thank you, Father, that in Christ I’m not a victim, I’m a victor.

At a Tennessee Football Game, not a joke.

>> Christianity is now the target of persecution...
>> THIS IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS! GOD BLESS EVERYONE WHO READS THIS AND PASSES IT ON.
>> I FIND IT INTERESTING THAT A HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL CAN SEE THE PROBLEM, BUT OUR SOCIETY CANNOT.
>>
>> Tennessee Football
>> This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane County High School , Kingston, Tennessee by school Principal, Jody McLeod
>>
>> "It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games, to say a prayer and play the National Anthem, to honor God and Country."
>>
>> Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a Prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law. As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it "an alternate life style," and if someone is offended, that's OK.
>>
>> I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity, by dispensing condoms and calling it, "safe sex." If someone is offended, that's OK.
>>
>> I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a "viable" Means of birth control." If someone is offended, no problem...
>>
>> I can designate a school day as "Earth Day" and involve students in activities to worship religiously and praise the goddess "Mother Earth" and call it "ecology.."
>>
>> I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depicts people with strong, traditional Christian convictions as "simple minded" and "ignorant" and call it "enlightenment.."
>>
>> However, if anyone uses this facility to honor GOD and to ask HIM to Bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, then Federal Case Law is violated.
>>
>> This appears to be inconsistent at best, and at worst, diabolical.
>> Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone, except GOD and HIS Commandments.
>>
>> Nevertheless , as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules with which they do not necessarily agree. For me to do otherwise would be inconsistent at best, and at worst, hypocritical. I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression.
>>
>> For this reason, I shall "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's," and refrain from praying at this time.
>>
>> " However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank GOD and ask HIM, in the name of JESUS, to Bless this event, please feel free to do so.. As far as I know, that's not against the law--yet."
>>
>> One by one, the people in the stands bowed their heads, held hands with one another and began to pray.
>>
>> They prayed in the stands. They prayed in the team huddles. They prayed at the concession stand and they prayed in the Announcer's Box!
>>
>> The only place they didn't pray was in the Supreme Court of the United States of America- the Seat of "Justice" in the "one nation, under GOD."
>>
>> Somehow, Kingston , Tennessee Remembered what so many have forgotten. We are given the Freedom OF Religion, not the Freedom FROM Religion Praise GOD that HIS remnant remains!
>>
>> JESUS said, "If you are ashamed of ME before men, then I will be ashamed of you before MY FATHER.."
>>
>> If you are not ashamed, pass this on ..
>>
>> I'm not one bit ashamed to pass this on, Are you?
>>
>> THIS IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS! GOD BLESS EVERYONE WHO READS THIS AND PASSES IT ON.

Thank you Walter for passing this on. I really pray this is a eye opener.

How do you deal with normal day things?

It’s in the Response

devotionals online
Jesus was at Peter’s house when Peter’s mother got a fever. Jesus healed her and her ‘response’ was to get up and serve him.
Later that evening when others who were sick were brought to him he drove out evil spirits from those who were possessed and healed many others who were sick. Their ‘response’ was to bring in more people to see the show.
And he moved on… Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” Matthew 8:23-25
He calmly responded in word and action, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.Matthew 8:26. His ‘response’ was one of action.
Jesus had been very busy showing the disciples his power and authority and yet they missed it. Their ‘response’ was fear and worry.
We have been told not to worry but rather give the situation to God… “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you” 1 Peter 5:6-7
Notice the sequence of our response? Humility, patience, action.
My prayer for us
Lord Jesus thank-you for your ‘response’ to all our needs. You give us salvation, you give us eternal life, you give us the way and you give us peace! This week we humble ourselves, give you the storms in our lives that you might rebuke the winds and the waves and give us your calm. Our ‘response’ is to say thank-you, thank-you, thank-you… and let you know that we are waiting, ready and willing to serve you as you lay out the action plan you have for us. In your precious and holy name, amen.” Matthew 8:26

I am not sure about what you look at sometimes, traveling?

Well as I was sitting at a traffic light a couple days. I just looked up and saw this beautiful light green ,Corvette. Not sure what year it is, but she is sure pretty.

Then you see things like this, beautiful sun raises. I am very blessed each day to say thank you Lord for all I get to see and enjoy.
Open your eyes each day and take in what ever is around you and say thank you Lord.

Jeanne saw this place and had to stop.

This restaurant in on Rt. 60 heading from 95 to downtown Vero Beach. Autumn's Crab .  Walked in and sat down. Really kind of quiet for b...
