I might have found a real nice Ford F150?

I was looking at a job we did a while back. So, we were talking about the passing of her boyfriend Chico. He passed away a couple of weeks ago. I remember the guy, he loved this truck. he kept it clean and the maintenance was taken care of. So, since he is no longer around here, she was telling me that, his sister was going to sell his truck. Wow, how much? Joyce, the lady I was talking with, thinking they just want to get rite of the truck payments. So just need to pay it off.

Walking around it and checking it out. This truck came from New Hampshire. So, it saw snow and salted roads. 4 wheel drive too.

The milage is really not that bad. I have a 1998 Ranger and has 211,000 miles on it and going strong.

Has a new battery and it is a 8 cly.

Now checking for rust, I saw three places for that. I looked under the carriage, and saw surface rust on the frame.

The tires will need to be replaced in a few months. But overall I love it. We drove it on US 1 and I opened it up, it has some power. I really look and see this could be a great truck to have. Now the only question left is how much. Well Joyce thinks it is $7,400.00 to pay off the loan.
If that is the payment, I will buy it. I talked it over with Jeanne and she thinks the same, a good investment. If not just maybe sell it? But as it is now, I would like to clean it up and take care of the surface rust and whatever doesn't work, fix it. and see what happens. The tires are around $200.00 each.
I really pray that this is something Our Lord is working on it and He might bless me with it? Or not?
He is the One and Only that I need to ask and just seek His answer.
Oh it might get repossessed? I think she told me he was late on the payments. But if it is, it was not for me.
Praise Him and I thank Him each day for all I have and not.

Change in the lights on the house.

Okay I am sorry to say, During the fall I put up these lights up. Jeanne told me to use fall colors. So, I ordered blue, and orange lights. Just for the Fall Season.
I would have loved to change them to Christmas colors. But I have been dealing with my left knee. I was somewhat unable to get up on a ladder. So, as I am getting around great now. I decided to put up Valentine colors.

Just using Clear and Red bulbs. Pretty much make the house look like a Valentine home.

I will be back on schedule. Started with, Valentine colors.
I just want to say Thank you Lord for all I have been going thru. I look back and say it has been a rough year, 2022. With all my left knee went thru. But today I am back in the saddle and ready to get back to helping others, with small jobs and whatever we can do to help out.
By looking out the kitchen window, the rain is coming down, pretty good. Maybe not today will be a workday. We were supposed to pick up a mattress and box springs, plus a couple of ends table. So around 9am. will make the call.

I I really am trying to get caught up on my blog. This happened on January 16th, 2023. This is Martin Luther King Day.

Jeanne and I got up early this morning (5am.) to start our fire. On Sunday afternoon we set up the grill to be ready for today. I have written about this grill chain. What we do is start on the righthand side of the grill and using charcoal. Put 3 briquettes along the whole bottom of the grill. Then put two more on top of them. Going all the way around the grill (fire pit) Then Jenne loves to put Apple or Peacan wood blocks on top to get the smokey favor. Plus, there is a pan of water under the meat itself. This keeps the meat moist and tender.
Looking on the top here, we are smoking Three (3) racks of pork ribs, there is eight (8) hot sausages and then, Jake brought over some fish, he told us what kind, but I am not sure at this time. So, we should have a nice feast.

Okay now Jeanne made a fire in our small pit. Here we will feed the fire with more wood and briquettes. The reason is sometime the fire chain is not enough heat to get up to 220 degrees.

Now this is the fire box on the side of the grill. Here is where we add more pieces of wood or briquettes.
I guess they call this the smoker?

You can see we are doing great. They are almost ready to be wrapped in foil and put back on the grill.

After she wrapped them, set them on the side to finish cooking. This was just a piece of fish that was not quite ready to take of the fire, yet.

We are ready to dig in and have a great meal.

This is our old friends, Doyle and his lovely wife. There was Jake and his girlfriend Jan. Jan's daughter and her boyfriend came to enjoy our small feast. Plus, Jan invited another friend, (forgot his name)
So, we had a full house for our great feast.
At the end I think everyone enjoyed the good food and the company too. As Doyle and his wife are up in age, Jeanne and I spent most of our time with them. The kids kept their company.  They had plenty to eat and drink. So, they spent most of the time in the screen room. As us older folks sat outside and ate, then noticed Doyle seamed, to be getting cold. So, Jeanne and I came back in and sat in the livingroom with them.
Our time was very nice to get to know them and just hang out.
It all went very well. Jake and his friends cleaned the dishes and made our lives a lot easier. So, Jeanne and I had a time to relax and enjoy the company and when it was time to go, pretty much everyone left at the same time. That was very nice too. This way, Jeanne and I could just enjoy the evening and go to bed with nothing to worry about the next day, which it was a workday for both of us.
Overall, it all turned out great. Had some food left over and the house is somewhat straighten out.
As it turned out, yesterday Saturday 22nd, Jeanne and I finished up the ribs and sausages, plus had some beans and corn to enjoy last night for our dinner.

This is the older two sit recliner sofa, we gave to the church thrift store.

I think this was November 8th, 2022. Badcock delivered our new sofa and recliner.
So, I cleaned up under it and made room for our new ones.

I looked at all we got and thought all is well.? But Jeanne started looking at the recliner about a week later and noticed the back of it was not straight across on the top.

Today Jeanne and I will be going back to Badcock Funiture Store to look at their recliners.
So, if you look on the top of the back, you can see it is not even across the top at all. I talked to the store manger and they told us on Dec 20th they would send a guy out to look at and let us know what they can do for us. Jeanne and I were hoping to get a refund, and all will be well.
But, the guy came out and looked and took some pictures and told me that they would let us know what they will do for us.
Not sure when, I just know it was after the Christmas break and New Years. I went over to the store on Jan 3rd. (I think) and talked with the manger and told us they will replace it or let us get something else.
So, a couple of days ago, Jeanne and I went there and looked around. Found a dark brown leather recliner there, we both liked it and left and talked about it.
So last night before we went to bed, talked some more about it. She told me today (Sunday 22nd) we would go back and look again.
So prayerfully today will make a decision on it and get it exchanged this next week.
All I know I just don't want to wait too long, they might change their minds?

About a month or so, Jeanne asked me if we could trim the large mango tree.

This is the largest mango tree in our back yard, we trimmed. Boy we started trimming and ended up trimming four large branches. Now the reason for trimming it was, so the mango tree can produce many more mangos.
I think about two years ago, right after we moved here. Jeanne read something about, how to get your mango tree to produce more fruit. So back then this tree was not producing any fruit. So, she read that if you take a baseball bat and hit the trunk with it and it will product more fruit. Believe it worked the first year here. Then she read about trimming a large branch up inside the tree will help too.

Last week I finished cleaning up the branches and all the leaves.
This is the mess I needed to clean up. Okay Mango wood is not to be used to cook with. Jeanne is the one that told, me this. I guess it is the sap is not good to eat???

Boy I used a Sawzall. It was a lot of work, but worth every minute. I love cleaning our back yard up.
So I used the wheelbarrow to bring it over to the fire pit. This was the first load. The next couple of loads, I put into trash can. This way we can save it and use it for the fire pit.

The next cool evening we will come out here and hang out and just enjoy the coolest of the air.
We are so blessed to be able to just enjoy life.
It is hard to believe but today is already the 21st of January 2023.

I had a dentist appointment on Tuesday morning.

Okay I drive south to go to my dentist. She has been helping me out for many years. I think I started going to her in 2004. It really was not her dental office at the time.
She worked for a Michael Barnard DDS, 1209 Broward Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
She opened up her own office, about 5 years ago. So, this is where I go now.
But since I have been back to the states, she has been helping me out. I went down there, and got my teeth cleaned and then I was exam by Dr. Marno. She told me that I need her to build up the tooth and then put a new crown in it. My filling came out about two months ago. The cost will be $110.00. Okay about a month ago, I went to another dentist in Port Saint Lucie, They, told me I need a root cannel-$2250.00. Then a new crown will cost $2557.00.
Now how can there such a price change?

This is from Dentist Marno. $110.00

Now this was from the dentist that I saw a month or so, ago.

After I got my teeth cleaned. I will looking froward in having lunch at Costco.
Hey, I got into there, I don't a Costco membership card anymore. Since I have moved up this way. There is no Costco's up here. So, I gave up my card.
Okay now I am hungry and ready to eat some sausage, onions and peppers.

Hey I got in. When I walked up to the counter a looked at the poster on what they sell now.
NO SAUSAGE, ONION AND PEPPERS.
Okay I guess I will wait to get home and make a sandwich there.

They have moved the gas station to the rear of the property.

Drive Pink Stadium. I was told a while back that they use this stadium for soccer team here in Fort Lauderdale. Right down the street, the place I use to work at, before I worked at Calvary Chapel.

This was called Madsen Barr. Corporation Then went to Phillips. Then they were sold to U Liner. Now they are L.M.K. Pipe Renewal. So, things are changing around.

I didn't stop this time.
Well, I need to get back home and do some work around the house.
Folks I really hope and pray that your new year is better than last year?
Overall, I believe my Lord Jesus has so much more for each and everyone of us to just trust Him even more.
Please seek Him today.

During Christmas we got a new 40 coly Cordless Leaf Vacuum.

Jeanne and I have been talking about buying one before Christmas. The real nice thing is Jake our son got us one. The only problem was we need a battery and charger.

Okay we have the machine, we went and looked to see how much batteries were. That was kind of crazy, how much they cost. The batteries started out for $149.00 each. Then the changer was another $100.00

We went to Home Depot and looked at a couple of stores to find this. But I had to go online and order and then have it shipped to the store we deal with. The final price was $249.00.

Okay I hooked everything up and we both were very disappointed in how bad this leave vacuum worked. I tried to shuck up leaves on the ground, not to many were shucked up. So I just pulled some leaves on the sidewalk to see what would happen. Not to good at all. Sorry to say I am taking it back to Home Depot and asking for our money back.
Hey, I own many tools that at Ryobi. All of my battery power tools are Ryobi, 18 volt.
So I am very sad to say this is now working the way I would think. So maybe down the road they will come out with something else to pick up leaves. This just doesn't do it for us.

What are your worries about NOW????

Good Morning everyone, well our new year is here 2023 and I know there are many out there that are worry about what is next? Price of gas, EGGS? Hey Jeanne and I needed eggs for the school program. We went to a few stores to find some cheaper prices on eggs.

I thought you would be able to read the prices? Okay, I am looking at my phone pictures after blowing the picture up.
Now looking at the third shelf down. The pink container of eggs, 12 (dozen) $5.83.
Next to them is the gray box of eggs-$4.85. Pink is next those are the 18 package-$7.61.
The shelf downward, The white E/B eggs (dozen)-$5.26. It really is kind a crazy about the prices for eggs.

Dec 22.

TOPLINE

The median cost of a dozen eggs in the U.S. remains $4.25—over twice what it was a year ago—and while increased inflation in 2022 has contributed somewhat, the real reason egg costs remain high (as inflation otherwise eases) is an avian flu that has decimated chicken farmers, causing as many as 57 million chickens to be affected.

This was just one article, I found about WHY?

Okay now the reason I am writing this blog today is, we are not to worry about what is going on around us. We need to look up God's Word and trust in what He has for each and everyone out here.
I was reading my Bible this morning and came across these two verses .

Philippians 4:6 Don't worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. (7) If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your heart and mind as you live in Christ Jesus.

Now to me this is all each and everyone out here, need to reflex on each and everyday we walk on this earth. There are so many more verses just to trust in HIM.

This happen on Saturday Jan. 7th. Jeanne and I drove up to Vero Beach and went to the Winter Art and Crafts Show.

As we were walking around, I saw his booth and was telling Jeanne I think this is the guy that lives in the Spanish Lakes County Club. It was him. George and his wife Cindy. When I was living in the park, I use to stop by his garage and check on what he was making that day.

If you look around, you can see how nice his work is.

Well, we walked around and started getting hungry. We stopped at the Lemon Aid Stand for a drink. Jeanne went over to the food truck and got us some Teriyaki Chicken and rice. It was a nice break. Then we walked around a little more.
I was starting to get a little sore. so we talked and started walking back to the car.
After getting in. we headed home.
It really was a enjoyable day. But my knee was really not feeling that great. I need to get rest.
Hey we spent some money, but we both had some fun.

Jeanne saw this place and had to stop.

This restaurant in on Rt. 60 heading from 95 to downtown Vero Beach. Autumn's Crab .  Walked in and sat down. Really kind of quiet for b...
