I have been soblessed forthehelp of Patmos and staffthatwas willing to do what ever was needed to get the job done.

I am sorry to say they ran out of the paint that was needed to finish the bath house touch ups. I hope by this next week i will be able to go buy some and try to finish what they started. Please say a prayer or tow for these students. They will be leaving to go back to the Fort Lauderdale, Fl. They are only half way through their four months. Thank you Patmos and STAFF. I know I was not there to help you but they still did the best they could. May He bless you time here and away.

Hey I am stil kicking. Here are some pictures of the work Patmos have done.

Yes Patrmos has been working on trying to tear down the old goat fencing and replacing it with all new lumber. They have done a wonderful job. I am sorry but I have not taken a picture of all the syudents and staff. Maybe by tomorrow I wil try to get one.

Yes it is I.

I am so sorry for not writing sooner. If you go back a couple of weeks. You can see I have been sick. I am still sick. I have something still in my system that will not leave. You know food posioning. I have been like this since Sept 8 or so.
I have been to the doctor. He gave m a couple of things to do and take. Didn't help. So I have been going to the South beach Clinic which is around the corner from my place. I have been there they have given me a IV plus a shot of something. I felt better for a couple for days. That was when Ryan was here to paint the floor in the bath room.
Now Patmos is here to help us out. They have taken down part of the old Goat/Sheep fencing. Today, they have gotten the new fencing up. I know they wanted to do all of it. But now the John Deere is not working right. The chain came off the agger. I put it back on this morning, but it came off again. It needs a new bearings. So they did what they could do.
The girls have been painting the Dinnering Hall at the Camp. They primed it and now it is looking brand new again. Plus the guys and girls primed the inside of the Bath House too. Now they are painting the walls again. They just came up and asked me for more paint. Sorry that was all I had. Today the stores close early 12 noon. So that will not get done. But like I said I thank them still for doing what they have done.
I wish I could have done stuff with them. But the old body is not coming back as fast as it use to.
Please if you think of me, say a prayer or two. I have not been on the computer for a while too. So if you have written to me. I am sorry for not answering you sooner. I will go around tomorrow and take pictures so you all can see what a great job these students did for us and FOR ME TOO. It really was a nice idea to come over here and stay here and help us out with all that has been going on. I am very blessed. Please say a prayer or two for these students, remember they are going through PATMOS STILL and they need prayer BIG TIME. They are working with Pastor Chet and his crew. So I just can image what they have in store when they get back to the states.

This floor looks great now. I knpow it is black and that is okay. We didn't pick the color someone back at Calvary FtL did that for us. It really does look nice now. Easy to clean I HOPE

Ryan flew in on Friday morning and we started right up. We got the first coat down and waited until morning on Saturday to put the next coat down, with the color chips. Then Saturday after noon we got the final coat, Clear down.
It really does look nice and clean and Patmos will be the first group to be able to use the new floor now.
We just have a couple more things to do to finish the inside. Hopefully in the next week or so. Thank you for your prayers.
Ryan flew out this afternoon. Boy he really was a big help. You know he took off from work Friday to Sunday to help us out. Plus he paid for his own way too. Thank you Ryan again.

This is the first part of sealing the Bath House floor in, Ryan came over to help me out, what a blessing he was.

Hello all

Since last Wednesday night I have been sick. Not sure what happen? But the doctor think it was food poisoning. On Monday 9/10, last week I made up some Sloppy Joes. The ground beef was only in the reg for three days. Not thinking of it, I pulled it out and smelled it and it had a funny smell, but nothing over powering. So Monday Thur Wednesday, I was eating this for lunch and dinner two night. Now Kevin is not to keen on that. So he didn't have any. But Wednesday came I was ready to say LORD take me home. I tried my hardness to make it to the new bath house. Some times I made it but most of the time no. I was doing a lot of washing clothes during this time too.
Okay I tried Gatorade orange juice, water and milk. Still not doing well at all. So Monday morning I saw a doctor and said is sounds like food poisoning. He gave some things pharmacy tings to buy. So i laft him and bought what he told em. Plus he said only drink Pedielyte, ONLY. So I did as he asked. That night I was even worse off. I slept in the bath house that night. Just could not move from there.
Tuesday morning Kevin was telling me that he didn't feel to good. So we both went South Beach Clinic. They gave me a IV and other drugs to take. By that night I felt really good.
Wednesday, I went to work and have been doing pretty well so far.
If you think of us, say a prayer or two. Thanks

It is so funny, how every time Tim comes over I am like his helper. I just make sure he has the tools and parts.

I am so blessed to have help. If you look back to last couple of weeks. Harri came over and we rebuilt the shower. Then this yesterday Tim came and we got the four fans up in the new bath house.
They work very well too. I went into the boy's side this morning, I even got a chill from them blowing down on me. It is so neat to see how things work out in His time.

We have a new pet, Jessica baby racoon

Yes a couple of weeks ago, one of our neighbor's Mr Sanders. He caught this baby raccoon and he started to raise her. Sean asked if he wanted to give her to us at the ALC? He came over the next day and said here you go. Friday I thought it would be nice to start having her run a little around our camp. What could she get into? BIG mistake, she love to climb trees I found out. I knew that BUT. Then after she gets up there, she doesn't want to come down. Well I went on line and asked the questions, can a raccoon get stuck up in a tree?
They told me NO. They can climb and climb and then come down with no problem. So Friday night I left her a lone up in the tree. I did try a couple of times to talk her down. I even got the big latter up. I climbed up and tried to talk her down. It just was not going to happen. I asked our Lord what should I do? The reason is she really looked sarced up there. Next morning I got up and asked the Lord again what should I do? Then I thought about using a garden hose to spray above her and this way she would be pushed down. It worked and she is safe again. Thank you LORD. Later Saturday I thought she would have learned her lesson. I let her go and she went straight for the trees again. I just picked her up and said no way.
Last night Kevin and I went to the pet store, Kelly's. Bought her a nice harness. She was not to happy about it. But this morning it seems she is okay now.
I have done some more checking about if they made good pets. When they are young yes. But not down the road. I can only try to see what happens. So far she does have a nice bite, but really only hurts a couple of minutes.
By the end of the week-end we will see what happens. RABIES I am very much aware of too.

Yesterday Mr Harri and I worked on my shower

By looking at the pictures above you can see how the wood was rotting away. The reason was when this was built they used small strips of wood and didn't put any caulk in between them. So rain or even just showering the water would get inside and rot it away. Now this time was use T111 boards and then I caulked every where there was a crack or seam. This should last a little longer. Now we need to paint the whole area again. Maybe the next group that comes in will have that to do?
I have been very blessed to have this friend named Harri. He has been coming here now for over a year. Twice a month. Now remember this is his day off.
Thank you my friend. I think it looks great. I know the boards don't line up. A mistake I made while cutting them. Oh well it is MY SHOWER

Hey look at what my son got yesterday

During the Summer, Kevin had to work some where. So while he was helping out at Camp Bahamas, Richard kept track of his work skills. So at the end Richard filled out his form. Kevin handed it in first day of school and his teacher was so impressed she made up this award and handed it to him during one of the assembly. So see they even gave him some free stuff too.

My son is going into 12th grade. WOW 12th

Yes another year is here. Kevin will be going to his last year of high school. He is really looking forward in seeing his old friends and teachers. If you look closely to his shirt you can see his name is on it. That is a 12th ting here. C.V. Bethel High School is one of the best schools here. ( I have been told that).
Kevin went in on Tuesday and only had a half a day. Then yesterday was all about getting to know the teachers. Plus they got their class schedule too. Kevin was telling me that here the teachers move up with the students. Just say in 10th grade you have Miss Bain, she will be your teacher until you graduate.
I really hope that today is a day to start doing classes. I was looking at the schedule for last year days of school.
They call their terms as followed.
Christmas as 69 day of school
Easter as 59 day of school
Summer as 48 days of school
Hey I think when I was in school, many years ago. It seems like I was there more than home.
All I ask is please keep Kevin in prayer. This is the year that he has to do his best if we have a shot at going to college.

This family is praying about becoming part of ALC staff this next year.

They are the Seeley family, Logan,Mindy,Tim and Zac. They flew over here a bout a week ago. They have heard many stories about the Adventure Learning Centre. So during this last part of the this year they have been talking with different people about what we do here and why?
They have been part of a camp up in Wisconsin for the last two or three years. So they have all ready down sized and know how it is to be a missionary. I am not sure who they talked to first about checking us out. But I know they have been asking a lot of questions about this place. Plus I know they have been praying too.
So now they have been here and checked us out, we will see what God has next in His plains.
I told them how much I believe they would be a blessing here for us (ME) if they moved here. This way I can do my maintenance and even have a couple of extra hands to help.
It is now time to pray for them and see what happens.
I thank our Lord for setting this up and now we all will wait and see.
PLEASE KEEP THEM IN PRAYER.
