Another week winding down.

I thinK Monday of this same week I got a call to take a look at Doris's deck in back of her home. Well Friday Roy and I went over to see what she needed. Well as we were talking with her and her one son. They were telling us how his dad built this deck almost 30 years ago. Well looking at it and thinking boy this is going to be a big ticket item. Richard her son, thought maybe we could just replace some of the boards?

As you look under here. You can see the supports are rotten out too. Okay, we told them that we would come back and wash the deck off and see if that is possible. I really don't think any one has use this deck for many years. So why waste her money on this? We will see this coming Monday morning how bad it really is.

Now we got a call from Joe. He lives in  another park called Spanish Lakes Fairways. It is about 10 miles down the road. So this is Joe and Frank looking at Frank's sink and faucet. Well his wife Nancy wants a deeper and one opening sink. Plus the faucet is needed to be replace too.
So right after talking with them, Roy and I had to go to Home Depot for something? But looking at the sinks there

I really hope they buy this one. The drain is in the middle and it should not be that big of a job.

Then this is Saturday morning. The folks are all out to play Pickle Ball. Hey I got to play three times and I got luck to win 2 of the games.
I just had a good partner to help this old body of mine out.
Like I have talked about before, folks we all need to keep pushing and plugging along. Older I get it gets harder to do things and we all need to get some exercise each day in.
It is by His grace I keep on going back and doing things.

We had a chance to finish up the week with easy jobs.

Well first of all Miss Wells called and asked if we could trim the nuts (seeds) off of her palm trees? No problem. Then got another call from Donna the same thing, trim the palm trees. These calls came in on Thursday. Then while doing Donna's, Janice stopped by and ask if we could do hers? Hey we are here and have the tree trimmer. So that was our Friday. Which we did and took this load to the land fill. Hey we made $40.each, in less than 3 hours. Traveling and all.
Oh mean while that same morning I sat down on one of the chairs and the legs gave out.

These are the chairs around my dinning room table. I noticed the legs were a little loose. But not tighten them right away. My laziness cause this break.

So I needed to do a little more repair to line everything up. It feels solid and secure. So now the bolts are glued in and they should not loosen up at all. Prayerfully the legs will hold folks up. I put it in the back so to remind me Maybe check it before you sit down?
Hey not sure about you, but church was fun yesterday. Our Pastor Craig always has a good teaching and yesterday was talking about consequences.
Mistakes we make and sometimes thing that other do to us.
It all boils down to how do we handle it?
I know it all falls in His hands and we need to man up and let Him repair it.
Folks life goes on and we need to thank HIM each day for another day to bless others.

I really look froward in playing Pickle Ball.

If you look up above RAINBOW. It was such a great site to see. You can even see the purple on the bottom.

At the end of playing, I lost all three games. Oh Well. Some days are good an some are not. I still had some fun.

This is the porch and steps we were working on Wednesday. They are done and I am very proud how they came out. Yet guys and gals we are not carpenters. But we work well together and at the end Mary Ann loved it.
All I do is say Thank you Jesus for wisdom and the opportunity to help others out.
Are you going to church this morning. Remember to THANK HIM

Okay another project. This one is going to be some fun too.

Now you remember the lumber we bought a couple of days ago? Well this is for this project. Building a small deck with steps.

I am so blessed to have Roy working along side of me. The reason I say that is. He is the one with ideas and it looks like this one is going to work out too.
I remember may years ago, folks would say two heads are better than one.
Thank you Lord for this friendship.

I can tell you this, this chop saw saved our butts. The reason is the lumber is still wet and my little battery saw would not cut it. But this saw, she did a good job.

It was a long day, but the steps and deck are up and looking like we know what we are doing????
Praise Him and thank Him today for another breath of air.

Yes Monday and Tuesday were days to look at jobs.

This is at Mary Ann's new home. She is not getting much hot water. So open the door on the water heater and had some trouble finding the thermostat, to turn it up a little more. I found it just below the plastic. You can just baring see it. Now it is up to 130. It was at 95

You can the door needs some help.

This is Doris's back porch. It really needs some help. Doris and her son were asking how much it would cost to replace this deck? It is 20 ft by 12 ft. I was thinking around a $1,000 plus for supplies. So we talked them after wards and asked if we could just clean the deck of and see. That is a job for Monday Oct 29. Then maybe just pull up the bad boards and replace them?

Okay now this is Joe and his friend Frank. Frank and his wife Nancy want Roy and I to replace the sink. No problem Monday too at 1 pm.

Here are some of sinks I think they want. They told us they would go buy it and let me know.

Okay now this is for Wednesday of this week. We went out and bought lumber and supplies for building a small deck and steps for Mary Ann. Start it Thursday.

On my way to the Dart's meeting for the new season.

Nice turn out there will be 18 teams this year. Over all we should have some fun.
Folks I am still having fun and enjoying a great life, how about you?
He is right along side of you and all you have to do is ask HIM for HIS help. HE LOVES YOU.

Too another drive south. On Friday.

Drive on 95 is such a beautiful drive some days. As this is Friday the traffic was not to bad at all. I have two things I want to do while down this way.

There is a women's retreat going at Faith Lutheran, North Palm Beach. Like I said this is Friday and during these week-end there is very little help in the kitchen on Friday morning. You know people work and have things to do. So I am trying to get two things accomplished. Helping here and then going farther south to check out my nephews new (o;d)  home.
So just to let you know, these week-end pretty much there is no picture taking. So I didn't see anyone in here and just took a shot of the area to wash the dishes and thing. Over all this  kitchen is a good size.
I stayed until after lunch, then drove to Boca Raton. There my nephew has just bought this step dad's (Lenny) house. Scott's (my sister)  mom (Betsy) was married to Lenny for many year, thinking 35 or so. But sadly Betsy pass in 2011 an Lenny just passed last month.
So Betsy kids, sold Scott their part of the home and now it is his.

As I got there I knew there was some water damage in one of the walls. So to find out what the problem is. So we torn it apart and found out it looks like there was a leak at one time from the clam shell outside.

Now looking, from out here it looks like there as been a couple of repairs done out here before.
He caulked along the top and sides and every where there look like water could get in.

So Scott and I drove over to Home Depot to get a  couple of items
They really have gone deep into Halloween stuff here at Home Depot.
We got a couple of things and stopped at Pulix's and got a couple of subs for lunch.

I can tell you this mobile home is just like every other one we have been working on. Uses 12 gauge wire thru out the home. Pain in the butt.
I replaces a couple of outlets.

This my nephew Scott. It looks like we have a way to make is look good again.

This way he will leave it open for a while. to see if there is any more leaks coming in.
Well I need to get back home and do something, not sure what it was. But on my way back home. I stopped to get some gas.

This is Sandalfoot Cove Road. It has been closed for over three months. I have been down here a couple of times and it has been closed since then.
Over all helped some folks out this last week-end and all is well.
Hey folks I am so blessed to be able to drive here and there and look on and see my poor little truck has over 242000. mile on here. Thank you Lord for all you do in me and giving me such a great truck too.

Jeanne saw this place and had to stop.

This restaurant in on Rt. 60 heading from 95 to downtown Vero Beach. Autumn's Crab .  Walked in and sat down. Really kind of quiet for b...
