It looks like everyone has a full belly.

If you have not seen who these guys and girls are. Well this is Priscilla. She is down stairs next to our fish tank. Oh am sorry all theses reptiles are at our church called Calvary Chapel. Now if you didn't know I work here and one of my responsibilities is to take care of our little friends.

This one is Steve. The sad part is last week he didn't eat his food. I had to throw it out. The reason we think was, he was shedding his skin. But I know this week he sure was ready to eat. I just got the mouse in there and wow. he attacked it.

Now this is Stretch. Not sure what is going on with him. I open his top on hie cage and he look like he wanted to take a bite of me. You can see how he was staring at me has I was watch him.

You can see after about a hour later i stopped by to see how everyone was doing. See the fat spot in his middle.

Then I go over to see Stretch and he looks like he is still mad at me. Not sure why? I am thinking, when I move the top off to the side. It sometimes make a bang noise. Maybe that scares him? The problem is it is heavy and hard to pick up and putting it back into place, some times. We are working on a new cage for him. I hope we are still friends? I have only picked him up a couple of times.

What have we been doing in the last two days???

All these rooms above are for the guys below. That right we at Calvary Chapel are having a Men's Retreat. It is called STAND.

This is what happen on Friday night. Not sure but I was told that there was around 1600 men there.

This room was the last one to be set up. Most of the time there are only about 56 chairs in here. Will after we brought in chairs for a couple of places. There was 140 seats.
Right after we got this room set. Were told that they will not be using it. Thinking there will be to many men and this place will fill up. So they meet in the sanctuary. Which worked out great for us. This way we can break this room back down to the 56 chairs and it will be ready for Grief Share which happens on Saturday night. They like tables and chairs. So Scott and I had a chance to put it up and break it down. The real neat thing is we get paid by the hour. HAHA.

Look at how many miles I walked yesterday. That right 12. 31 miles. Wow and my feet didn't hurt at the end. But I was a tired little boy.

This is the booklet they handed out for the men to take notes. I am sorry but I did stay on Friday night. Bed time.
Plus then in Saturday was work and plenty of it.
I talked with a few men last night and they sure had a wonderful time.

Wow it is so nice to see the prices going down.

Folks since I have been back in the states. I have seen prices of gas change i=over and over again. The real neat thing is look how low it is now. The sad part is I filled up the day before for $2.24.
I am not sure what the price is now in Nassau, Bahamas. but before I left it was $5.90 a gallon or around that. We are still very blessed to live in the states.

Hope Stronger Than Hurt

Posted on  by Devotionals

Contemplation
Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day longPsalm 25:5
It seemed like I was losing everything I valued: my marriage, my family, my home, my reputation. One day, a wave of despair came over me. I can’t take this anymore. I’m cracking up, I thought.
What happened next is hard to describe Clear as a bell I heard a voice saying—not out loud but deep in my heart—“Do you still have Jesus?
Yes,” I whispered back.
Then you have a center. You have a refuge. You will be alright.”
The Bible was the only book that offered me comfort and hope. It helped me make some sense out of my situation. Other godly people—Joseph, David, Daniel—had gone through terrible times, why not me? Furthermore it showed me a way of coping by giving me verses that nourished my wounded spirit and gave me hope. Verses like the following:
God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…” Psalm 46:1,2
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
I read of a woman who, during the severe tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia in December 2004, was saved from certain drowning by clinging to a palm tree floating beside her.
Jesus was that palm tree for me. I discovered that when life hits us with a tsunami, Jesus is there in the water with us. Clinging to Him we are saved. Knowing Him is the most valuable relationship in the world.
What’s happening in your life right now? Do you know Jesus is right there with you.
Cling to him and He’ll bring you out in due time.
Thank you Betty for this, some days I am here and there. This gives us all hope and just knowing that brings joy to my heart. Looking at the stock market these last couple of days. He is trying to get someones attention.

On the way to the theater.

I had over heard someone say, hey look at the sunset? Earlier a friend of mine asked if I saw it? So here is a beautiful sunset our loving Lord made just for us to look at and enjoy. This picture is over the top of the main swimming pool. Looking from the theater entrance.

This is a building that has been used for different things.

If you have looked at my blog for a while now. I took some pictures of this building while they were tearing it some what down. The four walls stayed up. But the rest has been gutted and a new roof will be put on too. The roof line is totally different too.

This is while they were tearing things apart. The west side of the building.

This is how it looks today, really this was taken on Thursday afternoon.

The inside is starting to look like the pictures.

If you look at the first picture above. This is that same corner today.

This really is going to be a blessing to all the children and families that are dealing with different issues. Prayerfully it will be open at the end of the year.
Looking good, thank you Lord for such a place.

He Will Lead Us Wherever We Need To Go

"For You light my lamp; the Lord my God illumines my darkness." - Psalm 18:28

It’s not surprising that adults are afraid of the dark. We are constantly bombarded with stories, movies and even the news, about awful things that happen at night. But why are children afraid of the dark? Maybe it’s an innate fear of being left alone, feeling separated, vivid imaginations, or maybe, just shadows in the dark.

The fact is, children fear the dark for many of the same reasons adults do. It seems many fears intensify in the night–especially sleepless nights. But I have good news: God is with us wherever we go.

Listen to a portion of Psalm 139 (NIV): “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the Heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.”

Like a loving Father, God offers us a hand to hold in life’s darkest hours. He’ll carry all of us through the darkness, and lead us where we need to go.

Of this I am sure.

Thank you Betty for sharing this with me and now everyone one else.

It really is surprising how much walking I do at work.

I think this is the most I have walked since I got back here at Calvary. Every once and while I think I have a busy day ahead of me. Like the days we have church at Calvary. These days my main job is to walk the property and make sure it looks great. You know like before the service starts. Then in between them and then afterwards. I am very blessed to call this place my work and ministry.

Not sure what happen here, but it needs to be cleaned up.

I got a call from a few worker, saying there is a tree down in the Circle Parking Lot area. I am thinking okay go pick it up and throw in the back of my truck? Not that easy. Went back to our storeroom for landscape tools and found the chain saws are locked up. No one around has a key. So I found a ax. I sharpen it and here we go.

This is Brandon, we work together in Events. So we each took a couple of swings and wella it is separated. By looking at it, I think lighten hit it. That is the only thing that makes sense.

Well as we don't have a chain saw to cut it up. We roped it to my truck and dropped it off in the West Parking lot. This way it is not in any ones way and the guys on Monday can cut it up and get rite of it. I am so blessed to be able to do things like this. It reminds of ALC. Really didn't have a chose, Have to get it out of the lot before church started. Thank you Lord for Your blessing each and everyday.

I found another toy, TOOL really.

As I have been working at the church, I get phone calls saying, this room is warm. So now I have this little temp gun. I got at Harbor Freight. Now the gun below belongs to the church, I know they paid many dollars for this. ($100. or more)
The one I have was $12.99. That right this little one does the same plus the large one does. I say plus, because there is a clock too built in this.

You can see there is a little difference in the temp. I say about one to two degrees. I think, okay it is off by two. So when you take the temp, you know this and can figure it out very easily.
I can carry this on my key chain and always have it ready to be used. Remember $12.99???

How peoples change in 14 years.

This is CCA year book for 2001 to 2002. back then we as a staff were the supporting staff. No thing like now. You look at these folks and say, wow some of them are still working at Calvary.

That is right, It is I. I look at this picture and say, well since then I have not lost much more hair? I do look younger. But now I am wiser too????

This is the cover for this year book.

This was the verses they used during this year. Remember this was the year of 9/11 too.
The only reason I found this year book was, it was in a box of other year books and I know there is one before this one was. But it sure neat to look back and say, wow.

Jeanne saw this place and had to stop.

This restaurant in on Rt. 60 heading from 95 to downtown Vero Beach. Autumn's Crab .  Walked in and sat down. Really kind of quiet for b...
