Well,do you remember the Gazebo?

While I was back in Nassau a while ago. Tim,Patrick and I worked on the roof of this building. Well at te time we didn't have a top for it. So Mark order one and Tim and Patrick put it on this last week. Boy it really does finish it off.

Well these two guys are my friends back in Nassau. Now if you look at the picture, some one else took the picture? Now my question is, has someone replace me? Remember I am the one that always takes the picture? Now I have been gone for a little while, did they replace me?
Oh I don't think so? hey theses guys have been my friends for many years and I look forward in hanging out with them in a little while. They are Billy and Tim. This day they were to work on Billy front door on his house. Maybe they will send me more pictures?
Hey guys I sure miss you and thank you for the picture.

Okay Brandon and I had a little challenge to roll this cart out to the Foot ball field for the game last night. Boy it sure was top heavy. But made it out there with no problems at all.

Last night was the championship High School Football game. In the beginning Calvary Eagles were only holding their own. I drove by and saw the score 7 to 20. Not looking to good? But as the four quarter got on the way, Calvary came back and won the game 21 to 20. Great job guys. I know I will hear more today about it with the staff.

It is that time of the year? I guess since I have been gone for theses last 9 years. they have a contest between the departments. I am sorry to say, I don;t see the names of the areas. So I really can not tell you who is who. But as I look on, they really did a nice job. I guess today they will voted on who was the best?
Well tonight the night for our children, please keep a eye on them while they walk the streets and beg for candy! Hey I use to love going door to door and asking, or I guess saying Trick OR treat?
Just to let you know what we are doing here at the church tonight, NOTHING. The church is some what shut down. The reason is Pastor Doug has asked everyone to do things in their neighbor hoods. You know maybe have a block party for the area? Pastor Doug said he was going to do a basketball game in his neighbor hood.
Tonight is NOT about satin, It is about sharing God love with the neighbors and family. I pray you all have a save night and would love to see some pictures of what happen tonight.

I was out riding the bicycle yesterday.

As riding around, I saw this lady sanding her truck. As I stopped to talk with her. I found out that this is her hubby's truck and she is just trying to fix it up for him. She was telling me about how he has a 1959 Nomad Chevy. That is what he is driving today. They have a landscaping business.
What really caught my eye was her sanding. Not sure about you, but you don't see that every day. I just really thought it was neat for her to take on a project like that, for your hubby.

These are just a couple of places that are set up around the property of Calvary. I thought this was very nice to see. It makes you think about the fall is here. Just really well done guys.

At Calvary Chapel main building. There are two of these on the walk way. I remember how we did this. First we needed to get a stencil to made the dove. Which we ended up using the sanctuary wall. Got out a over head projector and took a small picture and made it huge. Then Elmo used soft cement and laid the stencil down inside of it. It really was neat to see how they did it. The real neat thing is how long this has been here and still looks great.
Folks just walking around here, I think of this and that. How we did things here and still looking good. I am very blessed to be back. I do miss my family back in the Bahamas.

What shall happen today?

It is funny and even sad. While I have been living in the Bahamas for the last 9 years. Well I get back here and  was changing my address on my license. So while there on the inter net, I see this shows up. I look and say WHAT? I e mailed the Motor Vehicle office and asked what is going on? They wrote back and said, the law has changed on CDL licenses. You need to get a physical every two years. Okay I have been gone 9 years and why would my license now be suspended?
Okay I went over to a place called Concentra Urgent Care. I did this on Thursday, I think?
I had some fun with a young lady named Gloria. As she was checking my blood pressure, I told her is should be around 129/90. Well she took it and it was 148/90. That is not good at all. I told her, I think it was because I was telling her about Jesus. Which I was. She said go ahead and lay down for a couple of minutes. Which I did and the doctor came in and did his thing. Checking this and that. Then did the blood pressure- 120/90. So I passed. Oh one more thing, doing the eye test? Well my left eye is not as good as my right one, with glasses on? Not sure why. I just got these glasses in July?

So on Monday night I made appointment at the MVD. Which turned out to be a great chose. It was for 8:45 am on Tuesday. So I got there around 8:30am. Walked in and they looked my paper work over. Good. I walked over to the cashier. Paid and they called my name and gone. I was only there for 15 minutes. WOW that was a fist.

Okay Larry and I made plans to go look at TV at Costco today. Got there and Larry fell in love with the 48" I asked him a couple of times are you sure. Let us look at the 40"? He said,no this is what i want. We talked with the guy there named Bill. He some what knew what he was talking about. He answered Larry questions and we loaded it up on a cart. Walked around a little and found a couple of other items. had lunch there and came straight home. Larry wanted it set up in the corner of the living room. No problem. It took me a couple of hours to get everything right. But at the end it even worked? Before at the store I was trying to tell Larry maybe not the 48" but 40"? Well got it up and running. Had some trouble trying to get the Demo off the screen. The reason was I said, let us see what this is about, my fault. So it kept showing us this Demo screen with the shows. It would pop up every couple of minutes. So Larry called the service department. Got that straight. But now Larry was saying Boy this TV is in your face? No comment.
So as I walked out in the living room this morning I see the TV is turned a little more towards the center of the room and maybe this will work for him?

I think that will work now. I know it would for me. But I pretty much watch TV in my room. Larry like different stuff than I do. Maybe a ball game?
Hey he got this for only $549.99. It is a smart TV too. 48 " Wow they sure have come a long way.

What can 57 Cent BUY? Thank you Harri.

A little girl stood near a small church from which she had been turned away because it was 'too crowded.'
'I can't go to Sunday School,' she sobbed to the pastor as he walked by.

Seeing her shabby, unkempt appearance, the pastor guessed the reason and, taking her by the hand, took her inside and found a place for her in the Sunday school class. The child was so happy that they found room for her, and she went to bed that night thinking of the children who have no place to worship Jesus.

Some two years later, this child lay dead in one of the poor tenement buildings. Her parents called for the kindhearted pastor who had befriended their daughter to handle the final arrangements.

As her poor little body was being moved, a worn and crumpled red purse was found which seemed to have been rummaged from some trash dump.

Inside was found 57 cents and a note, scribbled in childish handwriting, which read: 'This is to help build the little church bigger so more children can go to Sunday School.'

For two years she had saved for this offering of love.

When the pastor tearfully read that note, he knew instantly what he would do. Carrying this note and the cracked, red pocketbook to the pulpit, he told the story of her unselfish love and devotion.

He challenged his deacons to get busy and raise enough money for the larger building.

But the story does not end there....

A newspaper learned of the story and published It. It was read by a wealthy realtor who offered them a parcel of land worth many thousands.

When told that the church could not pay so much, he offered to sell it to the little church for 57 cents.

Church members made large donations. Checks came from far and wide..
Within five years the little girl's gift had increased to $250,000.00--a huge sum for that time (near the turn of the century). Her unselfish love had paid large dividends.

When you are in the city of Philadelphia , look upTemple Baptist Church , with a seating capacity of 3,300. And be sure to visit TempleUniversity, where thousands of students are educated.

Have a look, too, at theGood  Samaritan Hospital and at a Sunday School building which houses hundreds of beautiful children, built so that no child in the area will ever need to be left outside during Sunday school time.

In one of the rooms of this building may be seen the picture of the sweet face of the little girl whose 57 cents, so sacrificially saved, made such remarkable history. Alongside of it is a portrait of her kind pastor, Dr. Russell H. Conwell, author of the book, 'Acres of Diamonds'.

This is a true story, which goes to show WHAT GOD CAN DO WITH 57 CENTS.

St. Theresa Prayer (cannot be deleted)

May today there be peace within..
May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.

May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into our bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing and dance.. It is there for each and every one of you.

Monday a day I get to hang out with Joshua.

Have you ever had to unload a pallet that was much longer than your fork lift arms could reach? Well this guy Gary, (driver) saw we had a problem and he told Joshua to go get another pallet and he would show us how to unload it. So as I was watching, I remember this trick many years ago.It really does work. You pull the pallet out as far as you can with out pulling it off the truck. Then raise the pallet you are lifting up a little more, slid the other pallet under and drop it down on top. Then drive around to the other side and take it away. It works great. No charge for explaining this?

Another job we have is feeding the fish. It is kind of fun. Just watching the people that are watching the fish is fun alone.
Our day was working on locks and keys. I think I am getting the hang of it. There is so much more to learn, but I am trying. It really as been challenging somewhat, but I know God has given me a chance to learn new stuff.

This is our church work day.

As I have the privilege to call Calvary my ministry and job. This last Saturday morning there was a, what they call a Church Work Day. As being part of Facilities. I was there. As I was talking with other staff about this day. It is a time for normal people that are part of Calvary come in and serve the church itself. Like I saw people planting flowers around the property. Then watching as they cleaned the seats in the sanctuary. I even knew of a job that they were going to do in the gym locker room.

We all came in and had a wonderful breakfast. Then sat around and had time to meet these people and find out stuff on where they work or how did they know about Calvary. Just some small talk. I had a chance to sit with this couple. Tom and (sorry but I forgot her name) As sitting there they were telling me how they use to come to Calvary years ago. Then moved away for a while and now they are back to serve.

Oceans Edge came in to do some worship songs and then Tony, Facilities manger. He gave us a devotion on what it means to serve others. Then after that the people, when coming in signed up for different jobs for them to do. Well Tom, the guy I was sitting with, went with the crew to build the benches in the locker room. His wife went out to plant flowers. Then Jeremy, Brandon, Scott and i went over to put the South Banquet Hall back together again. Remember on Friday night was the Bahamians Feast Dinner. So as the day went by we really got some things done that would not happen during our normal hours at work. I look back and say wow we got a lot done.
It really was a blessing to see the people as they serve.
Maybe next time I will see you there?

What to do on Friday morning at 7 am?

It is a Men's Bible study. You come in and enjoy a cup of coffee and a bagel. Then you have this time to worship our Lord with beautiful music. Then Mike one of the leaders does a little talking about all that there is to do here at Calvary. Jason Mann was our guy to share his story with us. I was sitting right up fornt, so I didn't get a good picture of Mike and Jason. There is a projection screen in between us to see clearly. But Jason shared what and how God changed his life. What happen and how he got on staff here. He is one that over sees the Benevolence. Now some people are not sure how this works? So this is what the dictionary tells us what it means?
Desire to do good to others, goodwill, charitableness, Which comes down to hearing the person's heart and letting God give us the discernment weather or not to help them out. Then do what you can. It is a hard task to know if you are really helping them or just covering up a bad cut and they are still bleeding to death?
Had to leave early to do that work ting.

This was the set up for the Bahamian Feast last night. It was some work but in the end it looked great. The kids you see here are some of the ones that are going over to serve at the Adventure Learning Centre this next year. So this dinner is to raise up some funds to make is happen. As I was walking around I could hear how the students were getting so excited about helping out serving the dinner and every thing that goes with it.  I didn't stay. But I believe it went well. Really thought about coming back, but at the end of the day, I was pretty tried. I think they were saying there would have been around 280 people there. So at $20.00 a plate, they should have done well.

This is so true. Thank you Walter

The World is Mine...Author unknown

Today, upon a bus, I saw a very beautiful woman and wished I were as beautiful.
When suddenly she rose to  leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and used a  crutch. But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Please forgive me  when I whine. I have two legs; the world is mine.

I stopped to  buy some candy. The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with  him, he seemed so glad. If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I  left, he said to me, "I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice  to talk with folks like you. You see," he said, "I'm blind."
Please  forgive me when I whine. I have two eyes; the world is  mine.

Later while walking down the street, I saw a child I  knew.
He stood and watched the others play, but he did not know  what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said, "Why don't you join  them, Dear?"
He looked ahead without a word. I forgot, he couldn't  hear.
Please forgive me when I whine. I have two ears; the world is  mine.

With feet to take me where I'd go. With eyes to see the  sunset's glow.
With ears to hear what I'd  know.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I've been blessed indeed,  the world is mine.

If this poem makes you feel thankful, just  forward it to your friends.  After all, it's just a simple reminder that  we have so much to be thankful for!
Give the  gift of love - it never comes back empty !

I have been truly  blessed with AWESOME  FRIENDS.

Folks we are so much like SPOILED BRATS. Count our blesses each and every day. Thank you Jesus Christ for what I have and don't have

I really am not happy about the updates on Windows 8.1

Okay I was writing a mail to a friend, then the computer asked about up dates. I said later! But it did it own thing. It said it would up date now? So I sat there for a while waiting. Then it said it was shutting down, which it did. Then it said it was setting up, now. Okay I started reading a book. Kept looking over to see what it was doing? Still setting up. Then shut down and restarted. It took over 1 hour and half. Before it started back up again. I am not sure why? But I guess I am up to date now.

These are the guys I get a chance to hang out with. Scott, my boss, Jeremy,Brandon and Joshua. Hey these guys are great. As I have been working along side each and everyone of them. I see how God is using them to enrich my life with more knowledge and understanding of what it is to be a servant. I have listen to them talk with others and walk away and say they did that right. We as a team have some duties that require setting rooms up that are not scheduled with all the bells and whistles. But at the end we say yes, What can I do to make it better? Most the time is the person asking just is not sure what is needed to make their class work. You know table, chairs and other items. So as I work along side of these guys I see servant hood. I am very thankful to be able to call Calvary my ministry and a place I get to serve others.
As I just finished talking with a old friend on the phone, they reminded me about how they just had a big lay off there and how God is the One that open this door for me. Wow, when you look at thing like that, I am very blessed to be able to be here and even get paid.

I am in training, yes to learn about lock change out.

This is one of our campus, called Midtown. It is in Wilton Manors. Which is a ho[ and skip form Fort Lauderdale, Fl.
Well the reason we are here is? Not sure when but Calvary Chapel has been doing our services in this building, it is called Streaming. Which only means these people get to get the same service as we do at our main campus 15 minutes later.

This is once the main church many years ago. If you look below you can see they have a place to baptize people right in the stage area.

This is the Youth Room. Very well done. It reminds me of 2040 at Calvary many years ago. That was our youth room.

This is the Kitchen.

This would be Joshua hands changing out the pins in the new locks we are installing.

This one door was our most needed work on. We had to re cut the hole and then chisel out the striker plate. It took us almost a hour to get this one done. But we got it and it even works. It really is fun to learn new things. I know Joshua has this vase wisdom on locks and things like this. I really am trying to learn, but it really is more than knowing how to install. You need to make up keys, that work afterwards. Then re pin the tumblers. There are so many ways of keying a lock. It is funny how I use to watch a friend of mine back in Nassau. Melanie at Albury's Locks. It seemed like she had it done in five minutes and charge me $25.00. I thought wow. That is a lot of money to do 5 minutes of work. Now knowing how hard it is. I respect her work.
To install and make sure all is working on 18 locks ? It was a full day. But I believe I have more of a idea on what this all is needed. Teaching old man new tricks it is a challenge.

After a wonderful day doing locks. I had a chance to spend some time with a old friend. We went to the movies. You know the dollar one? That right it only cost a $1.00 to see great movies like this. As you watch it, it really was hitting home. I really enjoy a nice romance movie.
Great ending too.

Jeanne saw this place and had to stop.

This restaurant in on Rt. 60 heading from 95 to downtown Vero Beach. Autumn's Crab .  Walked in and sat down. Really kind of quiet for b...
