Check out the picture below, was fun time.

I just want to say last night was great. I am sorry that not every one could make it out. But the ones that did. We had some good food and great fellowship too. I was so glad to hear Eddie's voice at the end of the table. This guy has so many loving jokes and just fun items to talk about. Veda had us do a small puzzle and I am not sure who won the prize? But I know every time we get together we have some fun.
Like I told the group last night. I will be going over to Ft Laud, during June 2 to the 15th. I am asking for prayer while over there. I will be looking into getting some rest. Plus I need to talk with some people about my funds. Calvary Chapel has given me a table in the East side of the church. These tables are set up so the people coming and going out of the church will be passing by. A friend of mine, Shelly has blessed me with some beautiful business cards. I am hoping and praying to be able to pass as many out has I can. I will be writing up a small letter plus putting the card in too. For the fist 100 people to receive this envelope will have a Bahamas' dollar in it. I will be asking them to take it and put it on their refreg and every time they see it, say a prayer for me and the ALC. I will miss you guys, but look forward in being back soon. Bye Tom.

Hey that is right we had another great night, Single's

Where is the Center of the Bible?

The pictures are awesome.... but wait until you read the words.
Q: What is the shortest chapter in the Bible?
A: Psalms 117
Q: What is the longest chapter in the Bible?
A: Psalms 119
Q: Which chapter is in the center of the Bible?
A: Psalms 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118
Add these numbers up and you get 1188.
Q:? What is the center verse in the Bible?
A: Psalms 118:8
Q:? Does this verse say something significant about God's perfect will for
our lives?
The next time someone says they would like to find God's perfect will for their lives and that they want to be in the center of His will, just send them to the center of His Word!
Psalms 118:8
"It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."
Now isn't that odd how this worked out (or was God in the center of it)?
Before sending this I said a prayer for you.? Got a minute?? 60 seconds for
God?

Sunday Cooking Day
Help me, my Savior, to brew a big kettle of brotherly
Love and serve it with
clean, sweet bread of human kindness.

Hey folks it is Friday.

Yes another week has gone by. I really not sure where the time is going? I just want to stop by and say hello and let you all know what has been going on in my life. By looking at the pictures below you can see I had a chance to spend the week end with some good brothers in Christ. Plus I was a dad for those days. Kevin in the one standing in the picture with the sand castle. He is one of my neighbors. His mom is a single one and he has 5 sisters. So he really doesn't have a dad in his life. His real dad is a Rasta, the sad part is Kevin would like to see his dad more, but, by what Kevin has told me that is not real. His dad think he is not a man. The only reason I can understand what he means is, Kevin lives with all those women. Kevin is a good kid and he really does not show any female ways. This week-end I found out he loves to cook and he has been learning Spanish. He would like to grow up and be a chief one day. He does believe he will go to collage and be taught what he needs so that will happen. My concern is. In these last two weeks he has not been in school. I asked his mom why? She told me that he has test next week and he doesn't need to go. I even see that his sister have not been going nether. Guys I just hope and pray that he has a shot to receive his high school grades so he can go on to collage. I have talked with him many times about school and I have shared with him about my time when I was in school. How I wish I did better and not just make it. If you have read any of my blogs before you will understand what I am trying to say. My spelling and grammar is not up to par. Plus my reading skills are not the greatness. All I know is I will help him as long as I can and I look forward to see what God has planned out for him.

These are some pictures from the Father and Son Retreat.

Good morning everyone.

Folks I have been having a lot of trouble with my computer. Not sure what the problem is? All I know is I can not get on Group Wise. This is my main e mail address that I keep in contact with the world. So if you have not heard from me a while, now you know what is wrong. I will try today to see the problem and hopefully I will be able to get on and answer your e mails.
Just a note I will be in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. June 2 to the 15th. So please if you want just get caught up with me on all that is going on here. Please e mail me. I am praying that I will have it up before I go.(toms@alcbahamas.org)OR my phone number is,(954)655-2057 USA. Please if you think of me during this time away. Say a prayer for me, I really am going over there to raise funds. By looking at my account, I really am not sure how long more I will be able to stay here, in The Bahamas? Prayerfully I will raise up funds and see what He has planned out for me. I have been hearing stories about how people are loosing their homes and their jobs too. So please I am only asking, now it is up to Him to provide. That means even for the ones that are going through these trails. I hope to hear from you. My time over there is not written out this time. The reason I have tried setting up appointments and really I have not heard from that many people.

Read the whole thing. Then enjoy His comfort

If only we could all be so comforted at such a time as this…..
She jumped up as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the operating room. She said: 'How is my little boy? Is he going to be all right? When can I see him?
The surgeon said, 'I'm sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn't make it.'Sally said, 'Why do little children get cancer? Doesn't God care anymore? Where were you, God, when my son needed you?'The surgeon asked, 'Would you like some time alone with your son? One of the nurses will be out in a few minutes, before he's transported to the university.' Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she said good bye to son. She ran her fingers lovingly through his thick red curly hair. 'Would you like a lock of his hair?' the nurse asked. Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy's hair, put it in a plastic bag and handed it to Sally. The mother said, 'It was Jimmy's idea to donate his body to the University for Study. He said it might help somebody else. 'I said no at first, but Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be using it after I die. Maybe it will help some other little boy spend one more day with his Mom.'
She went on, 'My Jimmy had a heart of gold. Always thinking of someone else. Always wanting to help others if he could.'Sally walked out of Children's Mercy Hospital for the last time, after spending most of the last six months there. She put the bag with Jimmy's belongings on the seat beside her in the car.
The drive home was difficult. It was even harder to enter the empty house. She carried Jimmy's belongings, and the plastic bag with the lock of his hair to her son's room. She started placing the cars and other personal things back in his room exactly where he had always kept them She lay down across his bed and, hugging his pillow, cried herself to sleep.
It was around midnight when Sally awoke. Lying beside her on the bed was a folded letter. The letter said:
Dear Mom
I know you're going to miss me; but don't think that I will ever forget you, or stop loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say 'I Love You'. I will always love you, Mom, even more with each day.. Someday we will see each other again. Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so you won't be so lonely, that's okay with me. He can have my room and old stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a instead, she probably wouldn't like the same things us boys do. You'll have to buy her dolls and stuff s like, you know.
Don't be sad thinking about me. This really is a neat place. Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me around some, but it will take a long time to see everything. The angels are so cool. I love to watch them fly. And, you know what? Jesus doesn't look like any of his pictures. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him. Jesus himself took me to see GOD! And guess what, Mom? I got to sit on God's knee and talk to Him, like I was somebody important. That's when I told Him that I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you good bye and everything. But I already knew that wasn't allowed.
Well, you know what Mom? God handed me some paper and His own personal pen to write you this letter I think Gabriel is the name of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to you. God said for me to give you the answer to one of the questions you asked Him 'where was He when I needed him?' 'God said He was in the same place with me, as when His son Jesus was on the cross.
He was right there, as He always is with all His children.
Oh, by the way, Mom, no one else can see what I've written except you. To everyone else this is just a blank piece of paper.. Isn't that cool? I have to give God His pen back now He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I'm sure the food will be great.
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don't hurt anymore the cancer is all gone.. I'm glad because I couldn't stand that pain anymore and God couldn't stand to see me hurt so much, either. That's when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come get me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery! How about that?
Signed with Love from God, Jesus & Me.

Just a up date on Debbie.

They did remove her appendix and she is laying in a bed at the hospital as I write. I went and saw her after work. This is a tough one. She had a big smile on her face and we talked a little while. She is still having some pain, but the nurse came in and gave her something for that. She will be leaving there and going over to Pastor Chet's house during the rest of this week. Just so she has someone around to make sure all is well. Like I said before she is a trooper and I believe she is what we need here to seek even more our Lord's face and just see what is around the corner for us here.
She is hoping to fly back to Fort Lauderdale, Fl. this Saturday to get her car shipped over here. That is a BIG prayer request. This set back has cost her over $8000.00 dollars, That right she spent $8000.00 to have her appendix removed and there might even be more when she leaves the hospital. I have talked with a pastor, he told me that his church will try to help her out. Folks if you don't know, as a missionary we are pretty much just depending on Him. I am not saying that is a bad thing. But He is the one that has us all here and He is the one that has been taking care of each and every one of us. To say all this is we as missionaries don't have insure. That means when we go to the doctor it is our cost. So please keep us all in prayer and let us see what amazing things he has plain out for us during this Summer.

This is Debbie and Adam

Please keep one of our new staff in prayer.

Yes the enemy is really trying to destroy what God has set in plan. Last week a young woman came to help us out here. Debbie Bird, at the ALC. Ever since she has arrived there has been a lot warfare going on.
This last week-end Debbie has been having some pains and not sure why? We found out yesterday that she is having trouble with her appendix. So during the day at the Doctors Hospital she waited around and had other test done to her and make sure that is what it is. So last night this poor woman had to go to a strange hospital and being in another country too. I talked with the guy, Michelo, that took her there and he told me that her Spirits are high and that she knows that our Lord is right along side of her. All I am asking for is prayer for her and all of us. I believe this woman is here, not by mistake, but here to give us all a shot in the arm and to help seek His vision for us. I just know that God is doing something here and we all need to find out what it is.

Yes Patmos #5 has graduation this night.

Special Occasion, might not come?

A friend of mine opened his wife's underwear drawer and picked up a silk paper wrapped package:
'This, - he said - isn't any ordinary package.'
He unwrapped the box and stared at both the silk paper and the box.
'She got this the first time we went to New York , 8 or 9 years ago. She has never put it on , was saving it for a special occasion.
Well, I guess this is it.
He got near the bed and placed the gift box next to the other clothing he was taking to the funeral house, his wife had just died..
He turned to me and said:
'Never save something for a special occasion.
Every day in your life is a special occasion'.
I still think those words changed my life.
Now I read more and clean less.
I sit on the porch without worrying about anything.
I spend more time with my family, and less at work.
I understood that life should be a source of experience to be lived up to, not survived through.
I no longer keep anything.
I use crystal glasses every day....
I'll wear new clothes to go to the supermarket, if I feel like it.
I don't save my special perfume for special occasions, I use it whenever I want to.
The words 'Someday....' and ' One Day...' are fading away from my dictionary.
If it's worth seeing, listening or doing, I want to see, listen or do it now.....
I don't know what my friend's wife would have done if she knew she wouldn't be there the next morning, this nobody can tell.
I think she might have called her relatives and closest friends.
She might call old friends to make peace over past quarrels.
I'd like to think she would go out for Chinese, her favourite food.
It's these small things that I would regret not doing, if I knew my time had come.
Each day, each hour, each minute, is special.
Live for today, for tomorrow is promised to no-one.
If you got this, it's because someone cares for you and because, probably, there's someone you care about.
If you're too busy to send this out to other people and you say to yourself that you will send it 'One of these days' , remember that 'One day' is far away... or might never come...

This was Thursday night.

Christian One Liners

Don't let your worries get the best of you; remember, Moses started out as a basket case.
Some people are kind, polite, and sweet-spirited until you try to sit in their pews.
Many folks want to serve God,but only as advisors.
It is easier to preach ten sermons than it is to live one.
The good Lord didn't create anything without a purpose, but mosquitoes come close.
When you get to your wit's end, you'll find God lives there.
People are funny; they want the front of the bus, the middle of the road, and the back of the church.
Opportunity may knock once, but temptation bangs on your front door forever.
Quit griping about your church;if it was perfect, you couldn't belong.
If the church wants a better preacher,it only needs to pray for the one it has.
God Himself does not propose to judge a man until he is . So why should you?
Some minds are like concrete thoroughly mixed up and permanently set.
Peace starts with a smile.
I don't know why some people change churches; what difference does it make which one you stay home from?
A lot of church members who are singing
Standing on the Promises'are just sitting on the premises.
We were called to be witnesses, not lawyers or judges.
Be ye fishers of men. You catch them - He'll clean them.
Coincidence is when God chooses to remain anonymous.
Don't put a question mark where God put a period.
Don't wait for 6 strong men to take you to church.
Forbidden fruits create many jams.
God doesn't call the qualified,He qualifies the called.
God grades on the cross, not the curve.
God loves everyone, but probably prefers fruit of the spirit' over a 'religious nut!'
God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.
He who angers you, controls you!
If God is your Co-pilot - swap seats!
Prayer:Don't give God instructions -- just report for duty!
The task ahead of us is never as great as the Power behind us.
The Will of God never takes you to where the Grace of God will not protect you.
We don't change the message, the message changes us.
You can tell how big a person is by what it takes to discourage him.
The best mathematical equation I have ever seen:
1 cross + 3 nails = 4 given.

The U in Jesus

Before U were thought of or time had begun,
God stuck U in the name of His Son.

And each time U pray, you'll see it's true,
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.

You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that's why He came.

And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.

Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand
He rose from the , with U in His plan?

The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,
And this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.

When JesUs left earth at His upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.

"Go into the world and tell them it's true
That I love them all - Just like I love U."

So many great people are spelled with a U,
Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?

It all depends now on what U will do,
He'd like them to know,
But it all starts with U.

It is soooooo refeshing to see people come to help us.

Yes last week a couple came from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Their main reason was to see what they can do to help us out here. It really was a refreshing time. Tony, he had no real skill in fixing vehicles but his heart was willing to do what ever is needed. I had a great time, just having someone to talk with and bonce things off off of him. It was a shot in the arm for me. What I am talking about is, I work pretty much by myself and when there is a willing person to come help me. I jump on it and I get a change to have some good fellowship and a helping hand too. We didn't get that much done, but the things we fixed we did good. I just would like to say thank you to Tony and your family for being those servants, that God has made to do whatever is needed. His wife, Jean,(I hope that is right) Helped out at the Camp with Jen Mingo and they kicked some butt. Cleaning up the kitchen and boy the place looks great.

So if anyone out there as a willing heart to help us. Please contact me. Folks I believe it will be a eye opener to you. I would love to hear form you.
My E mail address is - toms@alcbahamas.org

This guy and his famliy came over to help us out.

Porch prayer, enjoy it.

There was a little old lady, who every morning stepped onto her front porch,
raised her arms to the sky, and shouted: 'PRAISE THE LORD!'
One day an atheist moved into the house next door. He became irritated at the
little old lady. Every morning he'd step onto his front porch after her and
yell: 'THERE IS NO LORD!'
Time passed with the two of them carrying on this way every day.
One morning, in the middle of winter, the little old lady stepped onto her
front porch and shouted: 'PRAISE THE LORD! Please Lord, I have no food and I
am starving, provide for me, oh Lord!
The next morning she stepped out onto her porch and there were two huge bags
of groceries sitting there.
'PRAISE THE LORD!' she cried out. 'HE HAS PROVIDED GROCERIES FOR ME!'
The atheist neighbor jumped out of the hedges and shouted:
'THERE IS NO LORD; I BOUGHT THOSE GROCERIES!!'
The little old lady threw her arms into the air and shouted: 'PRAISE THE
LORD!
HE HAS PROVIDED ME WITH GROCERIES AND MADE THE DEVIL PAY FOR THEM!'

Why did God make Moms

Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:

Why did God make mothers?
1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.
2. Mostly to clean the house.
3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.
How did God make mothers?
1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
3. God made my mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.
What ingredients are mothers made of?
1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.
2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.
Why did God give you your mother and not some other mom?
1. We're related.
2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's mom like me.
What kind of a little was your mom?
1. My mom has always been my mom and none of that other stuff.
2. I don't know because I wasn't there, but my guess would be pretty bossy.
3. They say she used to be nice.
What did mom need to know about dad before she married him?
1. His last name.
2. She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on beer?
3. Does he make at least $800 a year? Did he say NO to and YES to chores?
Why did your mom marry your dad?
1. My dad makes the best spaghetti in the world. And my mom eats a lot.
2. She got too old to do anything else with him.
3. My grandma says that mom didn't have her thinking cap on.
Who's the boss at your house?
1. Mom doesn't want to be boss, but she has to because dad's such a goof ball.
2. Mom. You can tell by room inspection. She sees the stuff under the bed.
3. I guess mom is, but only because she has a lot more to do than dad.
What's the difference between moms and dads?
1. Moms work at work and work at home and dads just go to work at work.
2. Moms know how to talk to teachers without scaring them.
3. Dads are taller and stronger, but moms have all the real power 'cause that's who you got to ask if you want to sleep over at your friends.
4. Moms have magic, they make you feel better without medicine.
What does your mom do in her spare time?
1. Mothers don't do spare time.
2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.
What would it take to make your mom perfect?
1. On the inside she's already perfect. Outside, I think some kind of plastic surgery.
2. Diet. You know, her hair. I'd diet, maybe blue.
If you could change one thing about your mom, what would it be?
1. She has this weird th ing about me keeping my room clean. I'd get rid of that.
2. I'd make my mom smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it not me..
3. I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on the back of her head.

Jury Duty Scam DO NOT DELETE WITHOUT READING !

This has been verified by the FBI (their link is also included below). Please pass this on to everyone in your email address book. It is spreading fast so be prepared should you get this call. Most of us take those summonses for jury duty seriously, but enough people skip out on their civic duty, that a new and ominous kind of fraud has surfaced.

The caller claims to be a jury coordinator. If you protest that you never received a summons for jury duty, the scammer asks you for your Social Security number and date of birth so he or she can verify the information and cancel the arrest warrant. Give out any of this information and bingo; your identity was just stolen.

The fraud has been reported so far in 11 states, including Oklahoma , Illinois , and Colorado . This (swindle) is particularly insidious because they use intimidation over the phone to try to bully people into giving information by pretending they are with the court system. The FBI and the federal court system have issued nationwide alerts on their web sites, warning consumers about the fraud.

Check it out here: http://www.fbi.gov/page2/june06/jury_scams060206.htm

And here: http://www.snopes.com/crime/fraud/juryduty.asp

Yep! It's true

Please make sure and pass this on! Especially tell the elderly in your family, they are the ones that are the easiest to prey on!! Thanks
