Has anyone ever ask you this question, what is LIFE.

LIFE IS AN OPPORTUNITY, BENEFIT FROM IT
LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL,  ADMIRE IT
LIFE IS A DREAM, REALIZE IT
LIFE IS A CHALLENGE, MEET IT
LIFE IS A DUTY, COMPLETE IT
LIFE IS A GAME, PLAY IT
LIFE IS A PROMISE, FULFILL IT
LIFE IS SORROW, OVERCOME IT
LIFE IS A SONG SING IT
LIFE IS A STRUGGLE, ACCEPT IT
LIFE IS A TRAGEDY, CONFRONT IT
LIFE IS AN ADVENTURE, DARE IT
LIFE IS LUCK, MAKE IT
LIFE IS LIFE, FIGHT FOR IT
LIFE IS 80 % JUST SHOWING UP
LIFE IS 10 % OF WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU AND 90 % HOW YOU HANDLE IT
Thank you Eddie. This is just a reminder to me.

The real answer is Jesus Christ is what life is all about. There are some cute phrases up there.
I know I could not wake up in the morning and NOT know why I am here.
Please if you still have questions on What Life Is? Please take that few minutes and ask yourself these two questions below.

If you died today, WHERE WOULD YOU END UP? answer: HEAVEN
When you got there, how would you answer this question? WHY SHOULD I LEAVE YOU IN? answer: BECAUSE JESUS DIED FOR ME AND I SURRENDERED MY LIFE TO HIM.
Folks these are two very easy questions to ask. The only problem is do you know HIM.

Just a couple of neat pictures.

This was taken last week end. I was just texting someone about the rain. Took the picture and then looked and saw the star on the top of the pole.

About three or four weeks ago, we switched our Priscilla with Stretch. It really looks like he is stuck behind the doll pins. I don't think he was, but Jeremy and I had to get him out anyway to feed him. So I just thought those two pictures were a little different

GOOD MORNING ALL.

At last, here is something non-controversial,
non-partisan,
just something to lift up your spirits.

Ever have one of those days,
When something seems a bit "off"
But you just can't put your
finger on it...

Or it seems like all the
people around you are grouchy and just
want to butt heads...

Or just, get into some kind of weird
tug of war?

Sometimes, you just need to take a
fresh new look and get a different
perspective on things.

Remember, to try your best
To show kindness to others...
cuz it just feels so good!

Sometimes looking at things from their perspective might

So, when life gets you down.

And you'll get by with a little help from your friends!

To all of my Friends ...
Have a nice day.  Go Ahead
Make Someone Smile

Just A Nice Email....

Have a good day my friend!
THANK YOU WALTER FOR THIS GREAT WAY TO LOOK AT LIFE.

Thinking which one is the best deal?

Okay thinking $5.97 how much do you get? Plus now these guys are advertising everyday on TV.
Well you get 5 pounds for this price. Which is $1.19 a pound.

Now this is cheaper??? Not you only get 3 pounds here and the cost is $1.56 a pound.
So the Halo's are you best bet.
Who would figure?
One thing about either one, they are very good and becomes habit form. I sit down and will eat three at one sitting.
They are really good tasting. Enjoy.

Please folks read this now.

This is what happen to me. I was depositing a check into my account. Not thinking about much at the time. There was a young man across from me waiting. I punch in my code. Not thinking about it.

It went through and I got my deposit slip and walked away.

I didn't really think much of it. I guess this is the screen that comes up after you get you deposit slip.
So yesterday I got a alert in my e mail. Saying I have a over draft.
Okay how can this be? I know I have over (ad least $200.00) in my checking account. I went on line and found out I was short big time. There was three withdraws of $100.00 each in my checking. Then looking a little deeper. Found out there was three withdraws of $100.00 from my savings too.
Wow, I got hit up for $600.00.
I went to the bank right after I found out. I was talking with a young lady there and she looked at the accounts and said. I did make the deposit at 11:32am, Then at 11:33 am I made six withdraws.
She told me they have seen this before and what happen was the guy over my shoulder saw my pin number and waited for me to walk off. Which I did and didn't close out my account all the way.
You see above, No, I'm finished/Yes. Well all the guy had to do was hit yes and punch in my pin number and he went to town. By God's grace that was all he could take out in one time.
I was told that the bank would do a investigation. Plus send me some paper work to fill out.
We will see what happens next?
SO PLEASE COVER YOUR PIN NUMBER EVERY TIME.
Not everyone out there is looking out for your best interest.
Plus the young lady said if someone is a head of you and they say, go ahead of me. BE CAREFUL.

A Hot Cup of Coffee or Tea With a Friend.

Job 2:13
And they sat with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his suffering was very great. — Job 2:13 ESV

When someone is hurting or struggling, it’s natural to want to lend a hand.

Church folks are great at organizing help in all sorts of ways. Are you having a baby? Is someone in your family ill? Just let the ladies in your church know, and within no time they will have a lasagna and some lemon bars delivered to your door. People will mow your lawn, bring you groceries, and watch your children. We are a society of doers, which can be a good thing. However, there are times when even the most sincere offering cannot make the situation better.

Oftentimes nothing can be done, and the best way to help is to just be present. For all that Job’s friends may have done wrong, they got this part right. When they heard of all the tragedies Job had endured, they decided to show up. They couldn’t fix anything, and they didn’t presume to know how he felt. They simply sat with him in silence.

Sometimes hurting people just need your presence, to sit and drink a cup of coffee with no words spoken.

Sometimes all people need is a moment when they’re not obligated to share all the details and you’re not pressured to offer advice. When there’s nothing to be said, don’t say a thing. A chance to breathe and a friend’s presence can be two of the most healing things.

Lord, help me learn the ministry of simply being present in someone’s pain. Teach me to put aside my own discomfort or need to fix things and simply offer silence and coffee.

Not sure about you, but it is the hardest for me to just sit and do nothing. So if you need my time. Please let me know if I can help. If you want me to sit and listen. PLEASE TELL ME. I just like fixing problems. When there is silence, I think of something to say. So if you want me to listen, just let me know. Remember I am a guy. Thank you Betty for a wonderful reminder.

These are the guys I have a chance to work along side.

Starting on the left is Jeremy, Brandon, Josh and Scott the boss. Well on every Friday afternoon we try to get together and get some what caught up on what is has been happening around the church. First thing first tho. Brandon will be moving on to a different department. As of next week he will be working in Family Ministry. His main job will be working along side with the volunteers. These are the people that keep our Children's Ministry going. That right pretty much every teacher we have for all our church services are volunteers. Just think during one service time, let us say 11 am on Sunday. while the church is full and the over flow is too. that means there are like over 3000 people. Then think of their children. So let say there like 500 kids. Now during our service we offer teaching for the children's grade level. Like lets say, 1st Grade. If I am not mistaken, there are over three (3) first grade teachers going on at one time. So that is why we need volunteers to help us teach the children during that time. So getting back to Brandon, that is a big over taking. you at any time might have 30 to 40 teachers for each service. So that is a very big job to handle.
A old friend of mine years ago, had that job and it really was enjoyable time. But not always?
We wish him the best and prayerfully by next week there will be another new guy to help us out.

Trying something I heard a while back.

I was having breakfast with a old friend yesterday morning. While we were walking out to our trucks. I notice on his Toyota, How cloudy his headlights were. I was telling him about how I heard about using tooth paste to clear them up.
I left and said my head lights are just as bad. So I took a before and after picture.
Just took large squeeze of tooth paste in my hand.
Rub it in and even used a brush to try to get into the plastic a little better.

There was a little difference. But really did work as I was hoping for.
I guess I will be going out and spending the $19.99 to do the job correct?

In 8 hours, things can really change.

I went back to pick up my room mate about 8 hours later. If you look below an see yesterdays pictures, you can see this place was flooded. The water was all the way up over half of the height of a tire on a car.
While I was driving yesterday morning through here, thinking why don't they have a better drainage along this road?
I guess they do, the rain came down so fast it would have to take a while to drain off?
Well this road is pretty much bone dry, now.

Another crazy weather day.

This morning I had a chance to take a friend to a doctor appointment early. You can see how people just don;t have common sense. They just think if they drive faster the water will not hurt their engine, It really is sad the way people drive in the flooded areas. Just think of the neighborhoods people homes get water up to their doors and if you are driving fast the water can be pushed all the way up to their door ways.
Plus this morning we had two tornado watches posted on the alert of my phone. Folks this is kind of scary when you have lived in Florida for how long, I have only heard of one or two tornados touching down in the middle of Florida. But not down here?

I fly Jet Blue pretty much everywhere I have been for the last ten years. I get these adds and think wow, maybe I need a vacation?
Well March 6th to the 12th I will be flying over to Nassau,Bahamas.
My main reason to to go see some old friends.

When you watch Zombie movies do you remember Lazarus?

Folks I know you don't normally watch Zombie Movies, but take 7 minutes and enjoy this skit.
I think the next time you ever think about watching something scary, you might remember this story in the Book of John 11.
may your day be blessed and would love to hear your reply.

Spiritual Food For Thought And Action, thank you Walter

If you're spiritually alive, you're going to love this!
If you're spiritually dead, you won't want to read it.
If you're spiritually curious, there is still hope!

A Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper & complained
that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. 'I've gone for 30
years now,' he wrote, '& in that time I have heard something like 3,000
sermons, but for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them.
So, I think I'm wasting my time & the preachers & priests are wasting
theirs by giving sermons at all.'
This started a real controversy in the 'Letters to the Editor' column.

Much to the delight of the editor, it went on for weeks until someone
wrote this clincher:

'I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some
32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for
a single one of those meals. But I do know this: They all nourished me &
gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me
these meals, I would be physically dead today.

Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would be
spiritually dead today!'
When you are DOWN to nothing, God is UP to something!
Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible & receives the
impossible!

Thank God for our physical & our spiritual nourishment!
IF YOU CANNOT SEE GOD IN ALL, YOU CANNOT SEE GOD AT ALL !
B. I. B. L. E. simply means: Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth!
When you are about to forward this to others, the devil will discourage you.

So go on ! Forward this to people who are DEAR to you & TRUST GOD.

I believe I found a great deal,

First of all I am not one to shop at Publix. The reason is I think their prices are on the high side. But I have found some good deals every once and while.
Okay this is half off. I guess? So as I stood there, I was thinking maybe this is a good deal? I went on Amazon and found the same radio going for $50. and up. Okay will I ever need this? Maybe. I live in a state that has hurricanes? Plus tornadoes. Does the power go out sometimes? Not most. But you ever know.So for $20.00 why not. I got it home and it works and like I said, I might need this one day?

This is a Memorial Wall.

Our leadership came up this idea of a memorial wall. While back in the old testament of the Bible,  there are these things called memorials. Not sure but I believe there are more than twenty (20) times God told someone to build a memorial.
Okay in the Book of Joshua, Chapter 4 verses 1 to 9. It talks of the Israelites crossing the Jordan River. During this time, God stopped the water from flowing and they cross on dry land to get to the Promise Land. While the water was still not flowing, Joshua heard from the Lord:
Verse #2 Now choose twelve men and each tribe. Tell the men to take twelve stones from where the priest are standing in middle of the Jordan and pile them up at the place where you camp tonight.
Why build a memorial? Well this way, as the people walk by these memorials they have a chance to find out and maybe even learn more about that one place or even know more about why it was built.
It is a reminder to the generations to come about how God did His work.

These are the pallets of stones that will be used to build.
Now as our staff got together on Thursday to have a Fun day for all. We went into the sanctuary and was told what was next for us to do. We all got a stone and a sharpie. Now it is up to us to write something we can look back in this last few years and see how God has done work in our lives.

This is Scott putting his in the wall. As staff we had the chance to put our stones in the wall and say thank you Lord for all you have done for us.
In Israel there is Western Wall. .When I went to visit there in 2005. I had a chance to write on a couple of pieces of paper.and push them in between the cracks of the wall and ask God for favor. This is some the people that live there and visit are asked to do. So this is another reminder for me that God know my desires and what I have ask of Him.

This is my stone. I keep going back to 12 years ago, when I was back at work here. A good friend and one of our pastors here gave me these verses. They are the verses I have tried to live out in my walk and all I deal with each day.
They are the words that David gave his son Solomon just before he started building the Temple.
By strong and do the work He has started in you.

This is on the bottom of my stone that no one ever see. It is a praise to Him for my time in the Bahamas, 9 years.

This is Pastor George and his wife Carol. They just put their stone in the wall and this is to remind them where it is???

This is where I was told to put it and now you know. Plus maybe I will remember too.

This is the next day at work and they are sealing the stones with a water proof.

Have you ever bought something?

Well I was looking forward to a nice treat for myself last night. I was looking in the meat departent and said, why cook?  Here is something that LOOKS GOOD.
I open the package and said WHAT is this?
The sad part is I have done this a couple of times before, thinking this will be better that the last one I bought.
It turned out to taste pretty good and it filled me up.
Enjoy Super Bowl Sunday?

Wednesday, February 03, 2016

This happen last week.

As I live here I need to use what they have to offer. So I went over to hit some tennis balls.

Well today I believe I did pretty good with this wall. Back a ways this wall and I have had some battles. You know when I hit the ball it goes over? Well as this day was going by I only hit one over the wall. I was out there for over 45 minutes.

The picture really doesn't show all the green stuff that is on my hand. But it really was a good work out any way. I am very blessed to to be able to just walk down here and hit tennis balls.

Choose Faith Today. Thank you from a friend of the Bahamas, Betty

Today’s Scripture
“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
(Joshua 1:9, NLT)

Choose Faith Today
In the same way that faith opens the door for God to work in our lives, fear opens the door for the enemy to work in our lives.
The Bible says that fear brings torment. Fear has no mercy. If you act on fear instead of acting on faith, it will keep you depressed, miserable and lonely. So many people today are missing out on God’s joy, peace and victory because they keep giving in to fear. They feed fear by what they watch on TV or read in the news or on the internet. Don’t let that be you! Romans tells us that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. The more you fill your heart and mind with God’s Word, the stronger your faith will be so you can stand against the powers of darkness. Choose faith instead of fear by choosing God’s Word.
Remember, the power that is in you is greater than the power of fear. When thoughts come that say, “You’re not able,” choose faith by saying, “I can do all things through Christ!” Choose faith, overcome fear and live in the freedom God has in store for you!
A Prayer for Today
“Father, I receive Your Word today which is life, health and strength to me. I choose to close the door on fear by guarding what I say, listen to and dwell on. Fill me with Your love and faith as I meditate on Your Word in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

This is a Baby Dedication.

What is a Baby Dedication? Well this is a time for family and friends to come together and first of all wish the parents, Lisa and Brandon their support. That means we understand that you want to raise their child into a Godly home and we encourage them.
During this time, Pastor Reuben takes baby and just hold him for now. To let Brandon explain what this means to him and Lisa.

You can tell he is very passion on what all this means. It boils down to this: as his son Bradan is growing up, We as family and friends are here to help guild and direct his steps. That doesn't mean for us to take control of his life. No not at all, it is to show love and concern for his next steps and just to give him our support.

Plus Brandon and Lisa are looking at this as. Thank you Lord for his wonderful child and he is all Yours Lord. Brandon has the opportunity to be his parent and trust our Lord with what ever happens.
I look forward forward in seeing what God has planned out for this kid's life. It will be worth watching.
Oh someone is thinking why is there no baptism bowl there?
Well as Christians we make that decision when we are of age to say yes we want to be baptize.
It is like you understand what is baptism is and why we do it.
Mark 16:16 tells us this. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. Pretty harsh words?
I am very sorry to tell you this, but baptism is a choice by the person him and herself.
Please if anyone out there has questions on this. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO E MAIL ME.
I would love to hear from you. schafe556@gmail.com
