We had this great change to help out at the county fair again.

This is the morning of our second day to help out at the Saint Lucie Fair. If you look back you can see we were there for the opening night.
So I went to Walmart for my baby, not sure why?? But after school we went to the county fair grounds and put in 4 hours of just helping out.

This is just before it opened up. We all were just hanging out trying to find out who is doing what??

This was my post, I filled up the cups with ice and helped out with what ever else was needed.

My Jeanne was on th grill and cooking the hot dogs and hamburger's plus steaks every once and while.
Those had to be special ordered. But you can see everyone has something to do.

This was a group shot of Mr. Conett and his crew, which was the girls football team and their coach Michael. I was in their picture, they didn't even know it. Mr. Conett came up to me and told me I photo bomb their photo. Just laughed it off.

It got a little busy and it seamed like we lost some of our crew, helping out. What happen was the girls of the football team were told they only have to stay until 6pm. But we all signed up for 7pm. It all worked out.
At the end Julian and his wife Towanda and my baby and I had some food to eat. Then  just walked around for a while and headed back home. It really was a fun evening helping out and just seeing some old friends, was a blessing to us.
Well as today is Friday March 18th, we are in Baltimore, Maryland. Visiting my buddy Don and his lovely wife Meg.
I will be sharing some pictures later on after I get back home.
It is a little chilly as our days start out around 45 and end 70 degrees. We have been driving here and there and just enjoying our time.

Remember the septic tank problems?

The guys cae out and pumped it down. It cost us $350.00. While here they tried to take out the screen (filter) It was put in on a angle and it can not be pulled out, to clean. So now what?
The guys told us that they can come back and repair it.
At a cost of $750.00. Well we need it up and working correctly. So send them out the net day.

So mean while you can see they pumped it out and the toilets flush with no problems.

This is the other tank on the east side, it is where the liquid flows to and goes into the lift station from here.

You see the concert lid there? Well that had to be busted up to open it up. To get to the filter (screen). Like is said they could not pull the screen out. So these two guys showed up the next day, to repair it.

This will be the new filter screen.

They did one lid at a time. The over flow tank first, where the screen is. Then cut the pipe to put on  the other tank that needed a lid. .

That is the old filter screen on the right hand side. You can see he is using cement to fasten the pipe an then use screw to put the lid on.

Now you see three tanks. The one on the left is the holding tank (solids). The one on the right is the over flow tank and the one in back of it is the lift station. We wanted it all to be fixed and be done with it. So they put on two new lids and cemented them in. Then all is repaired.
This cost $400.00 to repair the screen filter pipe. Plus $300.00 to put a new lid on. Plus another $100.00 to put a new lid on the lift station too.
Okay we had the old lids, (concert ) left over.  So I asked them to take them away. I gave them $20.00 tip too.
It all looks great, except. I know Jeanne will not like the lid being up higher than the ground. So I know what I need to do the next day.

So I took a walk out to the road to drop off some limbs. Noticed the larger lid was there. The guy said something to me while driving off about the lid. He mush have dropped the larger lid in the pile. There is no way the guy that picks up limbs and trees and what ever is a tree or branches or even logs. They picked them up with a truck that has a bucket on the truck and drops all of it into the truck.
BUT I KNOW THEY WILL NOT PICK UP CONCERT!!!
Okay I busted it up, used a slug hammer and loaded it in our wheel barrow.

Now it is sitting in a driveway on the side of the house waiting for me to load it up in my truck and take it away. When we get back from our little time away.

This is how it looks now over our septic tanks and lift station.

This what I trim off of the pipe that they put in, that was to high for my baby to say it looks great in back. Now it does.
Well folks, this last week I worked three full day March 10th, 11th (one hour) 12th and 13th.
They have two times. Active time 25 hours/47 minutes Then Dash Time- 35 hours/ 17 minutes. Had 78 deliveries. Made $483.38. clear.
Hey I am very happy to be able to make some money and enjoy it too. It does get a little rough, when I get the $2.00 orders. With no tips. But in the end it all adds up.
Over all I still want to do handy man work, but in between jobs I have this to fall back on.
So I pray, you had a wonder week-end and looking forward in this next week of ours.
Doing a little traveling. I will try to keep you in the loop.
I do ask for prayers for my two friends, Jan and Jon Bunch. They have been going thru a lot of medical issues.
Last I heard Jan was in the hospital (recovering) and Jon has been getting treatments for his (skin) cancer. Doing better.
So please keep them in prayer and I ask for prayers for our traveling time and just to relax.

Buying gas has been a mystery, WHY IS IT JUMPING SO FAST????

This is a short story. Jeanne and I saw this price and said, we better get some gas, before the prices go up any more???
Okay while I was pumping the gas into our car, I just noticed the price jumped up to $4.39/$4.29. I am not sure what is going on?
It really is sad to see how our economy is falling apart.

I know this is another Cumberland Farms. I just didn't think of taking a picture as we left the station.
How can they justify rising it so fast in one flip of a switch?
$3.89.9/$4.28.9 that is $.39 a gallon in one setting???
Folks this country of ours is hurting big time. I just want everyone out there to
KNOW I VOTED FOR TRUMP.
The price of gas was the lowest it ahs been for many years, while he was in office. The economy was on the rise.
All I know is I love this country and we the way it is going, NOT TO GOOD????
Please keep it in your prayers.

Okay having some trouble with our septic tank. It is full??

This is the clean out for the kitchen drains. It keeps on over flowing.

Okay it is a tool for backed up lines, sewers and drains. It grow from 11/2" to 3" Take your mind out of the sewer. It is a PLUMBING  TOOL. Okay you screw this on a stiff garden hose and push it down the line. You get as far as you can, then turn the water on and let it do it's job. It will blow up to block the water from backing up to you. Then the water stream will have a high volume and water pushing forward the junk or what ever is stuck in the line should push it down the line. This time it really didn't do anything.

You can see why? YES MY SEPTIC TANK IS FULL,
Hey folks, this was one of my jobs many years ago, 1988 to 1999. I ran a Vac Con Truck (Vacuum truck) A T.V. truck and many other vehicles at the time. Making $13.00 bucks a hour. PLUS many hours of over time. My main job was for the sewer lines. Really only cleaned out a couple of grease traps.
Okay back to this project. I called out Reliable Septic Services. They have done work for Jeanne before. So they came out and sucked this holding tank out.
Afterwards I asked them about the Lift station.

This is the lift station. They told me all is well with this. He pushed up on the balls hanging there and the alarm went off. So it does work.
Still not sure why the holding tank was so full? I asked, they  said everything is working correctly.

You can see it really was a job to get the top off of this. They used a pry bar and just kept hitting the sides until to opened up. I went to the back in one of our sheds and found this 3/4 pipe and tried pulling it up. It bent it pretty good.
Okay now they are trying to get to the filter (screen) that is to caught the solids before they go out to the drain field.
They tried to get it off, but the guy that put it together, used a 90 fitting to attack it. It is very hard to get to. So now I have them coming back to fit that. Cut the block top off and put a new fitting and filter on.
The real sad part is, the guys told me that they (company) did this job back in 1992. Replace the tank and put in the filter. Okay now what?
Okay so I am waiting now, for them to come back and repair that today. The girl in the office told me that they will call e 30 minutes before they come out. Okay can I run a couple of Door Dashes?
Better not!!!
To suck out the tank it cost, $350.00
To repair the filter and put a new lid on, another $700.00. Folks this house is costing us a little fortune.
Now you can understand why I do Door Dash and side jobs. It cost money for pretty much everything we do to up graded this house.
On Door Dash alone this last week, I made $250.+
Hey if I can keep on Door Dashing and side jobs, I can help my baby pay for things like this too.
Hey great news is Jesus Loves you and ME. That is the GREATNESS NEW EVER.

A free night at the County State Fair.

It is kind a funny, we have not ever gone thru these gates before. We usually volunteer and go into the back gate. They give us a pass to park in behind the Steer and Swine Arena. It is close to the FFA Food Booth.
Okay back to the story, tonight we were suppose to meet Roy and his wife Pat here. But I guess we just missed each other. We tried to text and call them. But afterwards we got a text saying, they left their phone at home. That is okay, we still enjoyed walking around and just hanging together.

This is the Petting Farm, they sell food to feed the animals. and just have some fun watching people and the animals.

Here are a couple of young ones. I guess their bellies are full and just want to rest up for the next crew that comes in?

As we were walking, saw something out of the corner of my eye. YES little transformers.

We saw these two thru out the fair. Just riding along and jumping up and scaring folks. It really was kind a of neat to see.

We went down to the ride side and just walked around and saying, maybe we can try that ride? Or maybe this one? OR Maybe NONE?

Oh I can handle that one? HOW MUCH? $8.00 are you crazy???

Near the end of the evening we stopped in to watch the auction on the steers. This one got $41.00 a pound? That was the highest one we saw this evening. Just thinking, 1,400 pounds times $41.00 =$57,000 just for this one steer? They will cut him up and wrap up the meat and that is what the $41.00 a pound is worth.

I thought this picture looked better? But this is one of Jeanne's grand nephews. Layton. He got $14.00 a pound for his. Hey that pays for the feed and up keep and just enjoying taking care of his steer.
I think his steer weighted about 1,300 pounds.=$18,000 not to shabby.
Over all Jeanne and I had some fun and ate, steak tips and funnel cake and walked away full and our bodies are hurting too. A little bit to much walking for both of us.
We will be back on Friday night to help out at the FFA booth again.
I will share those pictures later on this week.
Sorry I really do like doing y blog, but sometimes there is not enough time in the morning to do it?
Prayerfully you all had a great week-end and looking forward in hearing form you too.
Please e mail me at tombahamas7@gmail.com I would love to hear for you and even hear your comments too?

Yes I was a good boy, we rested a little and then did what I said.

We watched Pastor Craig on line and afterwards, I went out and started cleaning our cars. Man I was so embarrassed on how dirty my truck was. So now it is looking good again. Folks before, when I retired. I use to wash and wax my truck ad least once every two months. Thing have chanced a little. Now since we have this big house, boy it sure keeps me busy.

I washed Jeanne's SUV first, it really needed it more than mine did. We use her SUV to, pretty much travel, anywhere. But she likes this better than riding in my little truck. She tells me that we are to low and  if we get hit, it might now be good?
Over all we know WHO IS IN CONTROL. YES THAT IS CORRECT, OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Folks I am staying busy doing Door Dash and just helping Jeanne out at the school too.
That is why I am so far behind in blogging. It is a good ting.

Jeanne saw this place and had to stop.

This restaurant in on Rt. 60 heading from 95 to downtown Vero Beach. Autumn's Crab .  Walked in and sat down. Really kind of quiet for b...
