Today they finished up what they started Patmos came thru

Hey just wanted to stop by and say hello

I have a chance Tuesday of this week. To go to Cat Island. A friend of mine gave me a plane ticket to go. I sure am looking forward in getting away for a week. The only ting that I am not that happy about is, leaving Kevin and Scooby behind. I know they will be okay, but. So the reason I am telling you all this is. I really need this time to get my focus and seek His will. If I have told you this before or not. I was having some trouble with where did my joy go to? A pastor from Fort Lauderdale, Fl came over here and we sat down and had a real nice talk about this. He was telling me to read a book of the Bible each day and then pray three times a day out loud. Which I have been doing now for two weeks. It really does help. Thursday of this last week a group of students, Patmos inturns. Came over and have been tearing down fences and rebuilding them back up. But while they are here, it really has been a pleasure and I am looking forward in getting this chance to get away too. While Patmos has been here, look below pictures and all they have gotten done. It really has been some fun to help them out and work along side of them too. This project was a big job and I would have ever gotten this done with out them. I just want to say thank you to all that came out to help and look forward in maybe down the road they might come back. Now my prayer request: Please keep Kevin and Baise in prayer while I am gone. Baise will be staying at the Camp. Plus for me, this time away I really am looking for a Spiritual awaken. I need to get deeper into God's Word. I really need this time. Thank you so much and look forward in sharing pictures and stories while gone.

Think about this?

I never thought of it this way, but its an eye opener. Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone? What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets? What if we flipped through it several times a day? What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it? What if we used it to receive messages from the text? What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it? What if we gave it to kids as gifts? What if we used it when we traveled? What if we used it in case of emergency? This is something to make you go . . . hmm . . . where is my Bible? Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected beca use Jesus already paid the bill. Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities? And no dropped calls! When Jesus died on the cross, he was thinking of you! If you are one of the 7% who will stand up for Him, forward this. 93% of the people won't forward this.

Why I put this story below?

Folks I know of so many people think they are going to heaven. But might not be their future. The reason I am talking about this is, yesterday Mark did a devotion at the ALC and this really tugged on my heart. What I am trying to say is, it is not because you are rich or even poor. It is about the relationship you have with our Lord Jesus Christ. My prayer to all that read this think about where are you going to end up? Heaven or Hell?
Just think about ETERNITY. It is not talking about a year of torment or even 20 years of torment. It is forever and ever.
Please look at your lives and read the story below and just asked Him Jesus Christ to be part of your life and confess your sins to Him. You will be saved. It is about relationships with Him. Not about doing this and that for Him. It is your love for Him.
Any questions please e mail me and I will find the answers.

Please read this and just think about WHAT DOES YOUR FUTURE HOLD?

Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus

19 Jesus said, “There was a certain rich man who was splendidly clothed in purple and fine linen and who lived each day in luxury. 20 At his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus who was covered with sores. 21 As Lazarus lay there longing for scraps from the rich man’s table, the dogs would come and lick his open sores.

22 “Finally, the poor man died and was carried by the angels to be with Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried, 23 and his soul went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Abraham in the far distance with Lazarus at his side.

24 “The rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am in anguish in these flames.’

25 “But Abraham said to him, ‘Son, remember that during your lifetime you had everything you wanted, and Lazarus had nothing. So now he is here being comforted, and you are in anguish. 26 And besides, there is a great chasm separating us. No one can cross over to you from here, and no one can cross over to us from there.’

27 “Then the rich man said, ‘Please, Father Abraham, at least send him to my father’s home. 28 For I have five brothers, and I want him to warn them so they don’t end up in this place of torment.’

29 “But Abraham said, ‘Moses and the prophets have warned them. Your brothers can read what they wrote.’

30 “The rich man replied, ‘No, Father Abraham! But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will repent of their sins and turn to God.’

31 “But Abraham said, ‘If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t listen even if someone rises from the dead.’”

We got lumber for half price here on the island

If you remember looking at my blog last week. You saw a play that the churches around the island, did during Easter. I got a phone call from a friend of mine here at Calvary Bible (Alan) asking me to get him some lumber? I asked what was going on? He told me that they were tearing down the stage they built. Then he told me that they were selling it for half price. I talked with Mark and he told me to buy what ever I could get.
I bought the following.
10pces of 2x6x16 for $6.00 a pcs
40 pcs of 2x4x16 for $4.00 each
5 pcs 4x4x10 for $8.00 each.
That was about all I could get. They were selling it has fast as they took it down.
So we have been blessed and we can always used lumber here, the reason is redoing the petting farm.
Oh one more ting yesterday. City Market here had their 50% of every thing in the store sale. They are closing them all up, today. So I bought 8 can of coffee, 4 jars of pickets, 2 jars of honey, one pack of coffee filter. I only spent $48.00 plus change. So see how Our Lord is blessing us.

Biase and Kevin have started to New Chicken Coop

Love to tell you about a couple that come every year to help us

The pictures you see below is this couple. Bob and Faye Browning. They are from London, Canada. They have been faithful for now I think 5 years. Every Jan to April they fly down here from their home up north, using their our funds and support they receive from their church and friends. This couple comes down here and they are both willing to do the job they are asked to do. For me this alone is a blessing to see their heart in all they do. Plus the neat ting is they are a little older than me so we can have nice talks about all God has been doing in their lives and mine. If you look below, you see Bob and his favor Train. The reason I say this is, almost every time they come down, our train has some main troubles. This last time, the front axle broke in half and Bob welded it back together. I can tell you this, his willingness to fix it give me a deeper desire to even do more to keep it running. The reason is he tells me when he sees the kids on it and all the laughing and fun they have. It is worth every bit of time he works on it. Bob is a man of little words but a big heart to fix what ever he puts his hands to. I have learned so much by watching and just working along side of him every time they come down.
Now Faye she loves the kids too. When ever she is needed to help Miss Ada in the kitchen she is the first one ready to get the job done. Faye is one that looks at something and said let see what we can do to make is happen. She is the one you see below with a paint brush in her hands too. I think she has painted our fences ad least 5 times. Plus she is always looking for ways to save our paint too. The reason I say this is she is the one to wash off the stuff that the birds leave on our fences too. So while brushing and scrubbing she notices the paint is like not holding well. So now we are buying better paint and using oil base for the primmer. I hate oil base, but if it makes the paint last longer. Better off we will be down the road.
Folks I take some pictures here and there, but I would never be able to take enough pictures of them to show all they do and how they love this place.
I just want to say THANK YOU BOB and FAYE for all you guys have done and looking forward in see you next time. I know you are not doing this for us, it is for OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, that is why we all are here for.

This couple comes every year to help us here at the ALC

These are some more pictures of my friends Bob and Faye
