Okay let me get you guys updated.

Friday afternoon, Debbie Bird has been seeing this small dog laying just out side our gate at the ALC. So she asked Sean to see if he was frending and if so, bring him back inside and let us see what happens. The poor guy was so sarced not knowing us, he would lay under the bushes and not come out. This morning I came in and he was so happy to see me. It really is nice to have a dog around and just knowing that he loves with out any reason. I miss having a dog but now we all have one. Not sure what our boss will say about it, Mark?
Then Friday night the staff got together and we ate some good old steak and chicken. Good food and fellowship.
Then Saturday morning I was driving out to see Monty at his home in Cable Beach and saw that the Straw Market was burnt down. I stopped and talk with a woman standing there and she was so sad,You can still see things that where in there at the time of the fire. If you are not sure what i am talking about? Well there are folks that make a living at this place each and every day of their lives. It has been in the family for many years and like I said this is their means to live and make money. So not sure what happen but I heard last night that they planed on moving it out of that area any way. There is a big contractor coming and to rebuild that whole area up and remodel it.
So now it is Saturday afternoon and we had Singles night. It was over at Michele home, it was neat to get together and just some fun and great food. We talked about Safe People. I will talk about this later on. I need to get going to church now.

Sad note, the straw market at Cable Beach burnt down Friday night.

Friday to saturday sure was a time to eat and just enjoy fellowshiping.

What last night was all about.

If you have not heard Mark Wallace is our boss during the summer time. The reason's are Pastor Chet and Adam and you know all, Patmos are in Brazil during this summer. So Mark and Kim plus Adam (son) open their home up to us to have a time of food and games. If you look at some of the pictures these are the people that will be here during this summer. We had a good time of fellowship and great food. Which every time we go to their home is fun time. We had steak and chicken plus the sides. Then just sat around and talked for a while. Then Tabbo came out and now playing a game. I have never played this before, it really is a a lot of fun. You have to give words that will push towards the name or the item you want them to say. We broke up in two groups. 1/2 The ones kicked our but. So I guess you have figured out I was a 2.
Plus it was Debbie Bird's birthday too. So we had a chance to wish her a happy birthday too. Laura brought with her a cheese cake from Swizz Bake Shop. Boy was that good, what? That is how Bahamian's say they mean it, WHAT? Good stuff.
I know we are going to have a small group of staff during this summer, BUT I know we can do all tings through our Lord Jesus Christ (Phil 4:13)to make it happen.

Last night we had a get together at Mark and Kim' s home.

Miraculously and parking space appeared.
Paddy looks up again and said. Never mind, I found one.
You know you are really broke when.

American Express calls and says, Leave home with out it.
You look at your rommate and see a large fried chicken in tennis shoes.

How do you repair a broken tomato? Tomato paste!
First girl: I spend hours in front of the mirror admiring my beauty. Do you think that is vanity? NO, it is imagination.
A waiter brings the customer's the steak he odered with his thumb holding the meat. Are you crazy? yelled the customer. Why are you holding the steak with your thumb? What answered the waiter. You want it to fall on the floor AGAIN?

Please take the time to watch this video.

This came from some of my friends back in Canada. Yes Bob and Faye sent this to me and I would love for each and everyone out there take 1 minute and 41 seconds to watch and listen to this poem. It really is about our future and what the world is telling how to live our lives.

We have some changes happening here at ALC.

Well you all know about Patmos is coming to a end tomorrow night. The students fly home on Saturday and Sunday. Then the Patmos staff will be doing the same ting, flying to their homes for a short stay. Then in about two weeks they will be fly to Brailza for the Summer months. There is a Summer Patmos starting up and pretty much the staff are part of it. So do you know what that means here. We will be hurting for staff and just good help. Pastor Chet is the one over seeing this and he will flying there next week himself with his family. So there is a couple of items to ask my friends about.
1) Pastor Chet is selling his Ford Exception 1997 for $6500.00. It really is a good deal and on this island I don't think you will see this deal ever again.
2) Pastor Chet is renting out his house. Not sure how much, but if you would like to take is over for a couple of months, I know he would really like that. You know someone here or abroad that needs a place to stay during the summer. Please contact me. I will lead you to the right person to talk with.
Now one more thing, Mark Wallace is going to be the ONE in CHARGE here while Pastor Chet is gone and Adam too. I really am looking forward in seeing all that our Lord is going to do during this time. The reason I say our Lord is, Mark told me yesterday this is not his plain but our Lord's. So please if you think about Mark say a prayer for him and let us go forward in doing His work

Hey look we have a NEW SIGN.

Let us pray together

Free to Believe
Everybody believes something and your core beliefs about who you are and who God is controls your thinking.Watch your thoughts and your words for they reveal your beliefs. When you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior you received the capacity to know the truth, and the truth will make you free – free to exchange old negative thought patterns for God’s thoughts. Meditate on God's Word -- His love letter to you. All things are possible to you if you believe. Whom the Son has set free is
free indeed – you are free to believe on the name of Jesus Christ the Lord!
PRAYER:
Father, I thank You for giving me the power of choice. I roll my works upon You…and You will cause my thoughts to become agreeable to
Your will. I believe that I will receive whatever I ask for in prayer
in the name of Jesus. I will not be afraid; I believe that You keep Your
promise because You are righteous. Father, I seek to do Your will by
believing in the one You have sent. Jesus is my Lord! Amen

This is a small island. Not really.

Yesterday the 3rd is a day that they started taking our census here in the Bahamas. Do you remember me talking about a young lady, Olivia? Well today is she has two jobs. One is working at a place called Bilney Lane Children's Home plus she is part of the Census takers. She start today by knocking on peoples doors and asking them to fill out a form. I hear the form is 38 pages long, it will take about 45 minutes to fill out. So she has a full time job doing that. It is suppose to be done in 30 days. It sure sounds like they have their hands full with this on. So I guess this means who what and when happen on the 3rd is what you are to count. You know if you still have not had your baby outby yesterday, but have it today. It doesn't count until next time. I think that is why they called it Census Day on Monday. I could be wrong, that is what makes since to me.

Yesterday was our day to remember.

Pecans in the Cemetery

PECANS IN THE CEMETERY

On the outskirts of a small town, there was a big, old pecan tree just inside the cemetery fence. One day, two boys filled up a bucketful of nuts and sat down by the tree, out of sight, and began dividing the nuts.

'One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me' said one boy.. Several dropped and rolled down toward the fence.

Another boy came riding along the road on his bicycle. As he passed, he thought he heard voices from inside the cemetery. He slowed down to investigate. Sure enough, he heard, 'One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me..'

He just knew what it was.. He jumped back on his bike and rode off. Just around the bend he met an old man with a cane, hobbling along.

'Come here quick,' said the Boy, 'you won't believe what I heard! Satan and the Lord are down at the cemetery dividing up the souls.'

The man said, 'Beat it kid, can't you see it's hard for me to walk.' When the boy insisted though, the man hobbled slowly to the cemetery.

Standing by the fence they heard, 'One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me.'

The old man whispered, 'Boy, you've been tellin' me the truth. Let's see if we can see the Lord..'

Shaking with fear, they peered through the fence, yet were still unable to see anything.. The old man and the boy gripped the wrought iron bars of the fence tighter and tighter as they tried to get a glimpse of the Lord.

At last they heard, 'One for you, one for me.. That's all.... Now let's go get those nuts by the fence and we'll be done..'

They say the old man made it back to town a full 5 minutes ahead of the kid on the bike.

SMILE, God Loves you!
