Okay I had a take a couple of days off working on this bathroom. The reason was a neighbor asked for help last Thursday and Friday. Plus Pat (owner) wanted a different top for her vanity. So it had to be ordered. The top came in on Friday but it was cracked. So they ordered another one. We ended up on Wednesday buying a different one.
Meanwhile we got the electric in and the light and mirror.
Okay why am I having such a hard time putting up towel bars and other thing on this wall???? It is dry wall. This one screw hit a stud. Now what.
Okay these are the anchors I have been trying to work with.
the first three (3) spins in the dry wall.
The last one worked great. I guess I need to buy these kind of anchors for dry wall???
The funny thing is we had the same trouble in her other bathroom. We ended up using Liquid Nails.
You have to remember these homes are old 30 years old. The moisture in walls doesn't help at all. So they are very brittle. So like I said there are many anchors out there, you just need to find the one that works.
Today all we need to buy is a nut for the drain on the sink. These mobile homes have a different pumping black pipe for drains.
This is picture of another sink we replaced a while back. Just showing you the black pipe.
So we will get that and this bathroom is finished.
Praise the Lord. We have a couple of small jobs coming up next. Maybe in the next week or so, We have another bathroom to redo. She is getting a new shower (tile) put in first and then we can take out the toilet and vanity and replace them.
I am very blessed to have some work and get a chance use the skills He has given me.
Not sure how much longer I will be able to do it. But as I can I will keep plugging along.
