Christian Ways To Reduce Stress

An Angel says, 'Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice.'
1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.
3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
1 5. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
17. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19. Get organized so everything has its place.
20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.
21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people.
25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.
26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good 'Thank you Jesus.'
27. Laugh.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
32. Sit on your ego.
33. Talk less; listen more.
34. Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.
36 . Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that
you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS
A WAY OF TURNING THINGS
AROUND FOR YOU.
'If God is for us, who can be against us?' (Romans 8:31)

I am so excide to see our Men's Bible Stuy

Yes last week we started meeting again on Saturday morning. It was such a joy to see 12 to 14 men show up at 6:30am. We have started using a book by Bob Veere. this book deals with every item that us men have problems with. The core is about our walk and what we do during our times of stuggles. You know like the way women dress these days and how froward they can be. I know living over here how that is so true. Just a short note. I have been asked in married twice since I have been here alone. Plus just how we as men look on to our wives if they are honored or not. Do we talk good things about them or do we tell others about our troubles and how they just don't understand us. Please guys out there I am asking as a fellow believer, lift up your mate and never speak ill of her and what is happening in your lives. I have known a lot of men love to share their lives with other women and how the women love to get involed with your troubles and then you see that couple ending their married because the woman he has been talking with looks better and as time goes on, she must be sent by God to be his wife. Please guys keep your family trouble at home and if you need some one to talk with let it be another man or even better, your Pastor. Guys and s are all looking at the grass on the other side of the fence is greener on the other side. Please work with God and He will work it out in His time.

Thank you and I am asking for your prayers for this next group of Patmos students are here now and the time for change is going to happen in all of our lives.

Coffee

Coffee
A group of alumni, all highly established in their respective careers, got together for a visit with their old university professor. The conversation soon turned to complaints about the endless stress of work and life in general... Offering his guests coffee, the professor went into the kitchen and soon returned with a large pot of coffee and an eclectic assortment of cups: porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal - some plain, some expensive, some quite exquisite. Quietly he told them to help themselves to some fresh coffee. When each of his former students had a cup of coffee in hand, the old professor quietly cleared his throat and began to patiently address the small gathering... ''You may have noticed that all of the nicer looking cups were taken up first, leaving behind the plainer and cheaper ones. While it is only natural for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is actually the source of much of your stress-related problems! "He continued...''Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In fact, the cup merely disguises or dresses up what we drink. What each of you really wanted was coffee, not a cup, but you instinctively went for the best cups... Then you began eyeing each other's cups....'''Now consider this: Life is coffee. Jobs, money, and position in society are merely cups. They are just tools to shape and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not truly define nor change the quality of the Life we live. Often, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee that God has provided us. God brews the coffee, but he does not supply the cups. Enjoy your coffee!''The happiest people don't have the best of everything - they just make the best of everything they have... So please remember: Live simply. Love generously. Care Deeply. Speak Kindly. Leave the Rest to God. And remember - the richest person is not the one who has the most, but the one who needs the least.
Happy New Year! May your cup overflow with happiness, good health and
great fortune!

The Bathtub Test

During a visit to the Mental Asylum, a visitor asked the Director, "How do you determine whether or not a patient should be institutionalized?"
"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."
"Oh, I understand, "said the visitor. "A normal person would use a bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."
"No." said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"

Hello all, long time no hear.

Hey I just want you all to know that I have not forgot about this. I love writing and sending pictures too. But this last week I just have not had any thing to write. I have some pictures to0 share but still not working. I am well and we are all trying to get ready for Patmos 3. I know I have told some of you about how we have help now and how my job has been changed some what. David is here and he is doing his thing trying to get on top of problems and repairs. It sure nice to have a brother come over and help us out. I have two more people to tell you about. Bob and Faye are back for two months too. So the maintenance things should be getting easier each day. But as I say this I see a lot of old things just falling apart. The train is one of them. There is so much rust and just worn out parts, that I am not sure if it can be saved at this time. I will send pictures when I can and you can see the rust and just it is old. Now I know what you are thinking, I am old too so why is there any thing different? Well by His grace and all He does for me, I can say I believe I will make it through another year here and see what He does. I really am happy to have help and now I can help out more with Pastor Chet's things. So this is so neat to see happen. Please keep us in prayer and let see what happens this turn. Thank you, I would love to hear from you all out there.

This is JUST for FUN.

God asks Peyton Manning first: "What do you believe?"
Peyton thinks long and hard, looks God in the eye, and says, "I believe
in hard work, and in staying true to family and friends. I believe in
giving. I was lucky, but I always tried to do right by my fans." God
can't help but see the essential goodness of Manning, and offers him a
seat to his left.
Then God turns to Tony Romo and says, "What do you believe?" Tony says,
"I believe passion, discipline, courage and honor are the fundamentals of life.
I, too, have been lucky, but win or lose, I've always tried to be a true
sportsman, both on and off the playing fields." God is greatly moved by
Tony's sincere eloquence, and he offers him a seat to his right.
Finally, God turns to Brett Favre: "A nd you, Brett, what do you believe?"
Brett replies, "I believe you're in my seat.

Hey just wanted to stop bye to say HELLO

This last week I have going through my budget and looking at what I spent this last year. Folks I am sorry to say it was more than what came in and I am now looking at even my trip back to Florida. This trip and the one I took in June. Just looking at them I am not sure if they really were a good investment. June it cost me about $1700.00, the reason was a funeral, I stayed a extra week and drove to Winter Haven. Then this last one cost me $1092.00. I received $500.00 dollars.
Please folks I am not trying to drum up business. I am just looking at the facts and seeing that ether trip never received the funds for them. Just alone I spent more than double than I received. Please I am NOT trying to sound like poor me. But I am trying to show you that, He has shown me, just this morning. Matthew 6:24 to 33. Just to explain why I am reading Matthew. I have always started the year out reading through the Bible. This year I decide to start in the New Testimony. So I know I am on the right track but, I need to get the word out, I need your prayers and support to keep up with what is going on. Folks I am really sure I am to be here and if you believe any thing different. Please show me and explain. Just like I said in the beginning, I just need to get the word out and let Him do His thing. Thank you for your support and prayers. I know He is blessing you and me at the same time.
I am asking one more thing. If you know of my friends and family that doesn't get my blog. Please pass it on. Thank you again and may His blessing be beyond your dreams.

Surrender the past to GOD

Surrender the Past to God
Richard Roberts
Sometimes the things that have happened to us in the past hold us back from moving forward with God. They make us feel unworthy or hopeless, unable to look toward the future with hope and expectancy. But the Bible says that Jesus came to set us free from our past. His precious has washed away our sins, our failures, our hurts, and made us brand new in His sight. Second Corinthians
5:17 says, If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. I remember one time when I was preaching in a church and people were coming forward to give their lives to Christ. As I looked over to one side of the altar, I saw a man, and in my spirit I saw two words appear on his forehead-THE PAST. I blinked my eyes. I was having a vision. I had never witnessed anything like that before. Then I remembered that earlier in the service a baby had been dedicated to God. So I asked, "Is that baby who was dedicated still in the building?" She was, so I asked the mother to bring the little up to the platform. As I held the baby, I told her how beautiful she was, and then I said to her, "Now, young lady, I want to talk to you about your past. Oh, excuse me," I said. "You don’t have a past, do you?" No, she was a brand-new baby-a new creature-without a past. And I turned to the man at the altar and said, "In Christ Jesus, you don’t have a past either!" Those two words-THE PAST-vanished from his forehead, and he surrendered his past to God. Today is a great day for you to surrender your past to God also so you can step out in faith toward an exciting future!
My Declaration of Faith for Today
I am a brand-new person in Jesus Christ. I surrender my past to Him, and I look forward to an exciting future in the Lord.
I pray that this is very one of you out there and this year is new for you too.

DO YOU BELEIVE IN GOD?

NBC this morning had a poll on this question. They had the highest Number of responses that they have ever had for one of their polls, and the Percentage was the same as this: 86% to keep the words, IN God We Trust and God in the Pledge of Allegiance 14% against
That is a pretty 'commanding' public response.
I was asked to send this on if I agreed or! delete if I didn't .
Now it is your turn . . It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore, I have a very hard time understanding why there is such A mess about having "In God We Trust" on our money and having God in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Why is the world catering to this 14%?
AMEN!
In God We Trust

I had a opportunity to help out my cousin.

It has been a while since I have trimmed and cleaned out her gutters too.  Oh, the reason I am here now is because Jeanne and her sisters pl...
