Hello my friends and family

I just would love to share with you a small story about the gas thing. When I first came here in 2005, the price of diesel was $3.13 a gallon. Today it is up to $4.88. The sad part is all the buses that we have run on diesel. Plus all the public buses do too. Do you remember when diesel was a lot lower in price than gas. My friends and family went out and bought diesel cars to save money. Oh well. Okay our gas is going and coming with prices each day. back in 2006 it went for $4.90 gal. went down to $4.14. Now up to $5.00. I know over there you have the same things going on. I really don't see a end to this story, except our Lord will not give us any more than we can handle. Please keep the Logos II in prayer, they will be coming today to spend some time just relaxing. I know they are pretty much warn out. They need their batteries charge up again. I hope you all are well and if you have any prayer request, PLEASE let me know and I would love to keep you in prayer. My e mail address is toms@alcbahamas.org Love to hear from you all.

These peolpe all enjoy some great food and felowship.

This is my friends that had the hardest job here.

The train was the biggest hit of all.

We had our Easter Fun day this last Monday.

Boy it was great. Not sure on how many came but I know there was more than 900. So we can look at their faces and see how much fun they had. I really do hope and pray that each and every one that came had the chance to hear His Word and walk in knowing His LOVE and why there was a Easter. It was because of His love for us and that is all there. Jesus Christ and only Him alone. Thank you for that, Dad and I pray each day that we all can trust in Him. Enjoy your day and may this be a blessing to all.

The Legend of the Cherokee Indian Youth.

Do you know the legend of the Cherokee Indian youth's rite of Passage? His father takes him into the forest, blindfolds him and leaves him alone. He is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not remove the blindfold until the rays of the morning sun shine through it. He cannot cry out for help to anyone. Once he survives the night, he is a MAN.
He cannot tell the other boys of this experience, because each lad must come into manhood on his own. The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him. Maybe even some human might do him harm. The wind blew the grass and earth, and shook his stump, but he sat stoically, never removing the blindfold. It would be the only way he could become a man!
Finally, after a horrific night the sun appeared and he removed his blindfold. It was then that he discovered his father sitting on the stump next to him. He had been at watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm. We, too, are never alone. Even when we don't know it, God is watching over us, sitting on the stump beside us. When trouble comes, all we have to do is reach out to Him. If you liked this story, pass it on. If not, you took off your blindfold before dawn.
Moral of the story: Just because you can't see God, doesn't mean He is not there. 'For we walk by faith, not by sight.'

Mr. Jones and Mr Gardener, my friends and family.

Hey these are my friends at Unity House.

You can see in their eyes how much God's Word is living in these two. I am very happy to be part of their lives. I have a chance each Thursday to go over there and give them some of my time and God's word. I am been doing this now for two years. It is so funny how when I first started going over there. I was studying and writing up like a lesson for them. I tried being like Pastor Bob. I would use verse to show other verses how they all come together. Then I would ask questions, then no one would say anything. I just thought I was doing right. But The Lord showed me I was not helping them at all.
The Lord then showed a Children's Bible to me and it has pictures through out. Now I read to them and show the pictures to them too. it is such a joy now to see their faces and to watch how they just love to see the pictures. All i can do is thank our Lord for these time and to be part of their family. If you could keep them in prayer. they really don't have a thing. This house is for the people that have lost their homes or family has given up on them. The real sad part is, we do the same in the states. Putting our older folks in homes and saying they are better off. They are much happier. I real not sure about that, I know theses people would love to see their family again. But they don't. So by God's grace I am now their family and friends.

Logos 2, two years ago here at our docks.

O.M. is back in town, Logos 2.

This last week the Logos 2 came into Free port. It will be there until Wednesday. Then they are on their way back over to our small island. It sure will be neat to see again. About two years ago this wonderful ship came into our port and just blessed a lot of people here. They even stayed at our Camp for 4 days (?). I am not sure if they will stay with us again or not. I saw a guy named Sean, yesterday at Calvary Bible. He was telling me that they were trying to set something up. I know most of the crew is back in Germany. That is where the New ship Logos Hope is being built and getting ready for their own ministry. Plus we have been told that Randy Grebe and family are going to be part of that ship's crew. They are building a Adventure Learning Centre right on the top deck of the ship. I am so excited to see how it is coming along. Just think every one in the whole world will be able to see Randy's ideas on how to get the Word out about Jesus Christ. When they get here I will write more about them, then.
Please keep us in prayer on the things we kept loosing things. Last night we had another break in and they took almost all of our cleaning supplies and things. About two weeks ago, they took Adam's laptop and other things. Folks the crime around us is just getting worse each day. The island has had 16 for this year alone. The kids here are not dealing well with convict and they are the one's that are the people.

Big CHEESE BUS

This is David and his son, Martin

It has been a long time, I know.

I just have not had the time to work on this. I am sorry, because I know there are a lot of you guys out there like to read it and see the pictures too. We have had a couple of jobs to get done by this week-end. So here is a small up date. Last week David, his son, Martin and I have been trying to get the large yellow bus ready for painting. we had Patmos and other groups come in to sand and scape off the old paint and some rust. Then Wednesday, David started to prime it with white primmer. The bus was called, by a named Jen, the Cheese Bus. reason it use to be a like the school buses back in the states. Now it is called the Marshmallow bus or the Snow bus. By looking you can understand why. Hey here in the Bahamas, the prisoners are driven around from jail to court each day on a Large Bus like this and it is painted Bright white too.
This next week we have a group of students coming just to paint this bus, as a World theme. not sure all they are going to do, but I have seen their work before. They are the ones that have painted the other buses and Our Camp building too. They are all art students and the school they are coming from is in Ga, (I think) SACD is the nick name for them. So when they are finish painting it I will send more pictures on that.
Well I need to get going now. I will try to write more this week-end. I am well and things are looking great for us in the way of people helping with staff. A guy named Michelo is coming back to work here the 1st of April.

It has been a long time, I know.

This is our Home Bible Group for 2008

Hey our Home Bible Study is doing WELL.

This last Wednesday we had our Bible Study up in the Barn at the Adventure Learning Centre. It sure was neat to see all that came out. We have been going there this book by Kay Arther. It deals with everyday things and how we deal with them. I feel so blessed to be part of this group. Every one is from Calvary Bible Church. Which is such a great one. I am so glad to see all of our friends.
This week, at the church is our Mission Confer. It will go on until Sunday. Yesterday we had three speakers. One was working on freeing the children that have been made salves. The next one was from China, he was telling us that over 20,000 people each day are coming to the Lord. Which shows that His return is right around the corner. There are over 850,000 people that still need to hear the Word. So if you think of it, PLEASE pray for them. Then last night we had a woman named Phiys. She is from Hatia and she has been there over thirdly years. Her prayer is that the children there will get food and not starve to . She told us of the week before how 19 people from no food. That sure is uncalled for. Just think of the food that we all waste each and every day of our lives.
So if you guys think of these people, PRAY and PRAY some more. Thank you for your time and I will try to keep up with the things that are going one this week.

I had a opportunity to help out my cousin.

It has been a while since I have trimmed and cleaned out her gutters too.  Oh, the reason I am here now is because Jeanne and her sisters pl...
