These are the teams for this invent

The first part, eating a bahana as fast as you can.

This part is cugging a can of Coke

Spinning on the bat top. 10 times.

This is right aftere spinning on a Bat

This is our Pastor Chet.

Hello my fellow friends. Patmos #4 started.

Today was a day to get to know each other. The staff and students came together to have some fun. The first game we played was called Japan war. We are all in a circle and one of the leader one to points to someone else. Most the time across from them. The person they point to has to rise their arms and make a Japaneses noice. Like aga, some thing like that. The people on both side have to cut that person in half. the person that was pointed to now will point to someone else. You keep going until there is only 3 people standing.
The game we all love to see is Bat spin. That is, look at the picture above. Broke up in teams and the first one on the team runs down and eats a banana, then drinks a coke, then has to spin around on top of a baseball bat. 10 times. Then run back to your team to tag the next one to run. Then starts all over again. The team that finishes first will not have to do a work for 15 minutes, during the regularly work out time. Gio's small group won that honour. Hey it looks like fun and it sure was fun. Another game was run down, teams again, close your eyes and put on rubber gloves and then open a wrapper and chew until you can blow a bubble.
The rain came and that pretty much did for that time. We all had some pizza and even play another game inside. Well enjoy your day and I will be talking with you later on. Please e mail and let me know how you are doing. toms@alcbahamas.org

This is a funeral during the day.

A short note.

Hey while driving down, one of our main road here. The traffic was stopped and guess what. There was a funeral coming towards me. By looking at the pictures you can see how much detail and how beautifully it was done. This was a gentleman that was ed last week by his wife. He was part of the Defence Force Team here. I just think it is so neat how they think about funerals here. During a busy part of the day they close a road down for this. I really respect their honor and how the island comes out for things like this. I know a picture of a funeral is not something most people would take. But I believe this is in good taste and I just love the way they do some things. Please just lift up this family in prayer at this time.

This minisrty here is all about these kids.

Good morning to my family and friends

I am going to give you a up date on what my plans are this next month. I will be going over to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During Sept 12 to the 22. My main reason is to rise funds for my ministry here. If you are not a wear of, I am a missionary here at the Adventure Learning Centre, located on a beautiful island called New Providence, Bahamas. Most people call this island Nassau, which really is the main city here and the Capital of all of the Bahamas.
I will be going over there FT. Laud. To visit 9 home Bible groups. I am looking forward in sharing all that is going on here and just letting people realize living on this little island what is is all about.

I think I have told you this once before but you know I have slept since the last time I have written. So if I am repeating myself, forgive me. I just am asking for prayer and wanting to see what He has plan for this next year in my life. All I know is there is going to be one answer only going back to Ft. Laud. or staying here. That is pretty much all there is for Him speaking. If you have read my blog before, I hope you hear my heart on how I love this place and how I believe this is sooooooo much more for me to do here.
I would love to hear from you all out there. Please e mail a note. I love writing on this and I know there is folks out there that read it, but I never hear what they are thinking of about it. This is my address, toms@alcbahamas.org

This is my repair at the Barn.

These are the wires I dug up last week.

It is so good to talk with you.

I just want to bring you up to date on things around here. Two weeks ago I told you all about my mishap at the Camp. I was digging and not paying attention to what was under the ground. I dug up 5 small power lines. These are only 110 volts lines. Plus a water line too. By looking at the picture above you can see they are all fixed. We called in a electrician to repair the electric lines. I repaired the water one. If you remember awhile back we dug up the main phone lines? We called in a phone guy to repair them. Since then we have been having so much trouble with water in the lines. So I am trying to stop our water problem by calling in someone that knows how to fix it right. We will see how good he is, after a couple of months. Plus then we dug up another set of wires next to the Barn at the Centre. Those are repaired by me. It is only one line and a phone line that we don't use. So by looking you can see I only taped them for now.
Okay now about my washer problems, like I told you I went on line to You Tube and found a couple of guys that video tape their repairs. It was great, it really did help me. I went out yesterday and bought the part I needed and guess what? It is working as we speak.
The students today have a rough schedule. they were woken 3 times during the night. Then woke up at 5am. They will be working out until 7;30 am. Then later today they will go to the beach for a 4 hour work out. Please keep them and staff in prayer. They are all being tested BIG time.

This is Sunday night here in The Bahamas.

Hey who told the bugs to come out this night? With all of the rain, boy we have had our share of bugs. MOSQUITOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. everywhere. Just walk outside and you will have ad least three on you leg. I know I have just walked out there and LOOK OUT. I killed one this morning in the bathroom, it had some one's blood. It was full. Okay enough about that. I know pretty much every one in the southern states are having the same problem. The rain from Fay. I have not heard, has she left Florida? She was there for the longest time.
Alright I have been telling you all about what is going on here. I am going to tell you again, Patmos (4) four has started and tomorrow morning we all get to learn about each other and just talk with them. I have a some work to do too.
Oh remember I was telling you about the washer we have. Last night around 11pm I got on You tube. That is a neat place to go. I put in Kenmore washer. Then repair. this guy came on and talked about the noise I have in my machine. he was right on the money. I did as he told me and wella. I found that the cog between the motor and tub was ed. So tomorrow I hope to go down to this shop I know. Hopefully they will have the part and I can do my wash. Plus my roommates too can. Okay it is passed my bed time, so good night and I will talk with you later on this week. Hopefully have some pictures of these new students to share. Please keep them in prayer. remember their ages are 17 go 32. most of them are 17 to 19. Remember when you were at that age. I sure do and I know I would not have been here. That was because I was not a Christian until I turn 45 years old. So 17 to 19 was party time for me. Okay enough. Bye Tom.

A new day, enjoy it.

Hello, this week is almost over.

Hey things have been rough this last week and I do see light at the end of the tunnel, it is not a train. It is His glory and love I get to see and just know every day I am here on this earth. the pictures you see above are just a small look at His love and understanding. I just want to say hello to all and I really do look forward in to tomorrow.
This Sunday is our time to come together as a staff and Patmos students to get to know and understand more about each other. We will be playing games and just some fun stuff. We are getting today, 8 s and 9 guys. Their ages are form 17 to 30 years old. I will write more about them after tomorrows thing.
Hey all I ask is if you think of us here, PLEASE keep us in (all) prayer. The evil one is reallllllllly trying to destroy what we are trying to build. This is not just building but friendships and just working as a team. Like I said before I will let you see some pictures about tomorrow.

Guess who???

Hey remember yesterday, problems. Well last night even more troubles. The washer stopped working. So the tub was full of water. I pulled out all my clothes and bucket the water out. Then we lost water pressure. Yes Tony went in to take a shower, 11pm there was no water pressure. That means the toilet doesn't work then too. folks I am asking for prayer for all of us here. Patmos students are coming in Saturday morning. I know God has some special that is going to happen with this group. The reason I say that, the evil one is really trying to push me to my limits. I just look around and see problem after problem. I would like if you would pray too for a helper to come in and just be a extra set of hands. It is funny how working by yourself you look on and wish to have someone to talk with and just work along side someone. Hey I was doing that yesterday after I left and came back. Adam and Tony were working on making a rope course in the play ground. I even told them both how I really enjoy the company. Okay enough crying. I need to get to work. Please knee a friend of mine in prayer, she had one of her knees work on yesterday. Bye Tom.

I beleive there are more voters here than the states

This is high tide now.

My quite place, tide coming in.

Hello all, we are still having trouble with internet.

hey I can mark it up on pretty much every thing else that is going on. This is the week we all try to get caught up on things around the Centre and Camp. The reason is Patmos starts up this coming Saturday. So Adam and I made up this work list for all staff and interns to get done by tomorrow afternoon. Okay now I my list I have been working right long and pretty much got it all done. But now I have made more work for me. I needed to dig up around one of the cabins, #6 the reason was we have a sink in this one and the drain is not running out well. So I thought I could come over with the John Deere back hoe and dig down a little bit more and fix the drain problems. Oh that is not how it went. I was digging, by myself????? not seeing all under ground. I did see a lot of roots and just keep pulling them out. well guess what? I found out where the water and electric lines are running NOW. The reason like I said, pulling up roots. Well there was this big root. No it was the water line. Water squirting out all over the place. So I turned off the water valve and found out I pulled up 5 pvc pipes too. They all have wires running through them. So I killed the power too.
I cleaned up around the pipes and Adam called a guy in to fix them. The reason is last time I fixed lines under ground, water kept getting inside the pipes. So I ask Adam to see what this guy would do. The guy came out, not while anyone was there. So I didn't talk with him. So he looked it over and called Adam back and told him what he is going to do. Put in a large electric box, above ground and repair the lines that way. He didn't show back up today. So I think I will give it a shot tomorrow.
Okay enough about that. Now the first part of the morning I was told all of the power is out now at the Camp. I went over there and saw that one leg was the only power coming in. I just told the Lord this is Yours. I got in my truck and took a ride down to the canals. I needed to talk with Him more. I got down there and just sat and ask Him questions. I sat and just prayed and relax. It was nice. I got back and started working on some things else. Just enough trouble to keep me on my knees. I got the power back up, by His GRACE. The reason of the day went okay. I am looking forward in seeing tomorrow now. Enjoy your day and JUST KEEP TRUSTING HIM.

This was last night, I sent $83.00 to fill my truck

Hey my friends and famliy

I just want to drop a note to all of you out there. During the month of Sept. I will be flying back to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My plains are to set up appointments with Home Bible Groups from Calvary Chapel FTL. I have written to many and 9 groups have respsonsed. I wrote up my schedule today and it sure looks good. But now I need to write to the groups to let them know what I have planned. You know that Tom thing. MY PLAINS. Please Lord I am just asking You to use this time to get my needs dealt with so I may stay here in the Bahamas. If you have been reading my blogs lately, you can see the problems I have been dealing with. I just got my report form Eldroa, our office here at ALC. The report reads as this day I have received $4015.00 that as of 7/18/2008. If you do the math, I have spent over $9000.00 for this year. Please folks I am not complaining or anything of this nature. I am only facing the facts. So this next month I will be in Ft. Laud, trying to see all Home Bible Groups I can, to raise more funds for the stay here in the Bahamas. The way it is looking this will be my last ditch try. So PLEASE if you think of me during Sept 12 to 22 2008. Keep me in prayer. The real neat thing is He will be showing me the answer by this trip. It will be good news or even better news. Go back to Florida or stay at the Bahamas. I just want to say thank you all of you out there for your prayers. I will keep you all inform. He loves each and everyone of you and He has plains to use you all. Just keep focus on HIM. Bye Tom.

This will tug at your heart.

--- Drun
ken man in an Oldsmobile They said had run the light
That caused the six-car pileup On 109 that night. When broken bodies lay about
'And blood was everywhere,' 'The sirens screamed out eulogies,' For death was in the air.
'A mother, trapped inside her car,' Was heard above the noise; Her plaintive plea near split the air: 'Oh, God, please spare my boys! She fought to loose her pinned hands; 'She struggled to get free,' But mangled metal held her fast In grim captivity...Her frightened eyes then focused 'On where the back seat once had
been,' But all she saw was broken glass and Two children's seats crushed in. Her twins were nowhere to be seen; 'She did not hear them cry' 'And then she prayed they'd been thrown free, ''Oh, God, don't let them die! 'Then firemen came and cut her loose, ' 'But when they searched the back, ''They found therein no little boys, 'But the seat belts were intact. They thought the woman had gone mad 'And was traveling alone, 'But when they turned to question her, ' They discovered she was gone. Policemen saw her running wild
And screaming above the noise 'In beseeching supplication, ' Please help me find my boys!
They're four years old and wear blue shirts; 'Their jeans are blue to match.'' 'One cop spoke up, ''They're in my car, ' And they don't have a scratch They said their daddy put them there
'And gave them each a cone, ' Then told them both to wait for Mom To come and take them home. 'I've searched the area high and low, ' But I can't find their dad. 'He must have fled the scene, ' 'I guess, and that is very bad 'The mother hugged the twins and said, ' 'While wiping at a tear, ' 'He could not flee the scene, you see, ' 'For he's been dead a year.' 'The cop just looked confused and asked, ' 'Now, how can that be true? ' 'The boys said, ''Mommy, Daddy came '
'And left a kiss for you.'' ' He told us not to worry 'And that you would be all right, '
And then he put us in this car with 'The pretty, flashing light. 'We wanted him to stay with us, ''Because we miss him so, ' 'But Mommy, he just hugged us tight ' And said he had to go...
He said someday we'd understand 'And told us not to fuss, ' 'And he said to tell you, Mommy, '
'He's watching over us' The mother knew without a doubt 'That what they spoke was true, '
'For she recalled their dad's last words, ' ' I will watch over you.' The firemen's notes could not explain 'The twisted, mangled car' And how the three of them escaped Without a single scar.
'But on the cop's report was scribed, 'In print so very fine, 'An angel walked the beat tonight on Highway 109. 'The 7 Second Prayer, Just repeat this phrase and see how God moves.'Lord, I love you and I need you, come into my heart, and bless my family, my home, my friends, and me. Amen. '

Check this out. You tell me what to do???????

Take every thought captive, by Max Lucado

Today’s thoughts are tomorrow’s actions.
Today’s jealousy is tomorrow’s temper tantrum.
Today’s bigotry is tomorrow’s crime.
Today’s anger is tomorrow’s abuse.
Today’s is tomorrow’s ery.
Today’s greed is tomorrow’s embezzlement.
Today’s guilt is tomorrow’s fear.
Could that be why Paul writes, “Love … keeps no record of wrongs” (1 Cor.
13:5 NIV)?
Some folks don’t know we have an option.
Paul says we do: “We capture every thought and make it give up and obey
Christ” (2 Cor. 10:5).
Do you hear some battlefield jargon in that passage—“capture every thought,”
“make it give up” and “obey Christ”? You get the impression that we are
the soldiers and the thoughts are the enemies.
It was for Jesus. Remember the thoughts that came his way courtesy of the
mouth of Peter? Jesus had just prophesied his , burial, and resurrection,
but Peter couldn’t bear the thought of it. “Peter took Jesus aside and told
him not to talk like that.… Jesus said to Peter, ‘Go away from me, Satan! You
are not helping me! You don’t care about the things of God, but only about
the things people think are important’” (Matt. 16:22–23).
See the decisiveness of Jesus?
What if you did that? What if you took every thought captive? What if you
took the counsel of Solomon: “Be careful what you think, because your thoughts
run your life” (Prov. 4:23).
You are not a victim of your thoughts. You have a vote. You have a voice. You
can exercise thought prevention. You can also exercise thought permission.
Change the thoughts, and you change the person. If today’s thoughts are
tomorrow’s actions, what happens when we fill our minds with thoughts of God’s
love? Will standing beneath the downpour of his grace change the way we feel
about others?
Paul says absolutely! It’s not enough to keep the bad stuff out. We’ve got
to let the good stuff in. It’s not enough to keep no list of wrongs. We have
to cultivate a list of blessings. The same verb Paul uses for keeps in the
phrase “keeps no list of wrongs” is used for think in Philippians 4:8: “
Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is
anything worthy of praise, think about these things” (RSV). Thinking conveys
the idea of pondering—studying and focusing, allowing what is viewed to have an
impact on us.
Rather than store up the sour, store up the sweet.

This is the tram I am asking for.

What a great morning,

I am over at the Camp doing my e mails and just getting caught up on the computer things. I am so glad to see that we have Internet here and maybe next week the Centre will be back up. Cable's Bahamas are coming out to hook up their system and by God's Grace I pray it works better. We know we have trouble with the phone lines so this way we can know for sure. The phones, we hope to replace in the next month. We will be going to dig up the old ones and put in new pipe. the reason is we know there is water coming in and just not sure where. Plus the new wire we are replacing is a lot bigger in size. Going to, maybe, 50 pair. That means we will have 100 wires to play with and we can add more phones down the road.
As this next week comes up, I am asking you to pray for one of our staff, Adam. He will be going over to Fort Lauderdale,Fl. For rest and hopefully, to get some well needed things. Like a air compressor, pressure washer and maybe a truck or golf cart or even tram. I have put in my request and it doesn't hurt to ask. RIGHT?
Well the Summer Camp is done now and we will be gearing up for Patmos #4. That will be at the end of this month, Aug. At this time we have 8 guys and 8 s coming. So please keep them in prayer too. they really will need it when they reach here. Pastor Chet I hope has been getting come rest and I know he will be on fire for this next term.

John (back left,) Frankie and Keivn

Frankin and Tony, Miss Moxey is in the back

Hey long time for a up date.

I am soooooo sorry but we have been having all kinds of trouble with our network here. If you remember about 6 months ago, we had a small problem happen. We were digging up the sheep pen. During that time the back hoe cut right through our phone lines. During that time the network was down about two weeks. Okay now the reason we don't and then do have network. I believe we still have another break in the line. We did dig up the old line and found water in it. So Dustin and I replace the box with two new ones plus ran new wire in between the boxes. IT looks great but after a couple of minutes on line we loose the network. We have tested it and looks good. But it still not right. So tonight I am over at the Camp with a wire trying to get caught up on e mails and my blog.
Okay enough on that, this last weekend, I had a chance to take a couple of my friends to differ places. The pictures above are them. The first picture is at a tent at a Junkcoo feast. This is just one of the out fit they use for the parades. The next picture is some more friends at the All Saints Camp. I have talked about this before. This Camp is where my old church is trying to fix up and make it look and just be better than before. Well that is it about what is happening around here.

This is a joke,

Chrissy and Barbie, two sisters had promised their uncle, who had been a seafaring gentleman all his life, to bury him at sea when he died.
Of course, in due time, he did pass away and the two s kept their promise. They set off from Clearwater Beach with their uncle all stitched up in a burial bag and loaded onto their rowboat.
After a while Chrissy says, 'Do you think we're out far enough,Barbie?' Barbie slipped over the side and finding the water only knee deep said, 'nope, not yet Chrissy'. So they row a little farther....
Again Chrissy asks Barbie, 'Do you think we're out far enough now?
Once again Barbie slips over the side and almost immediately says, 'No, this will never do, the water is only up to my chest.'
So on they row and row and row, and finally Barbie slips over the side and disappears. Quite a bit of time goes by and poor Chrissy is really getting worried when suddenly Barbie breaks the surface gasping for breath.
Well is it deep enough yet, Sis?'
'Yes, finally. Hand me the shovel.'

If you look you can see two rainbows.

Remember Noah?

In the year 2008, the Lord came unto Noah, who was now living in Iowa , and
said:
Once again, the earth has become wicked and over-populated, and I see the
end of all flesh before me.
Build another Ark and save 2 of every living thing along with a few good
humans.
He gave Noah the blueprints, saying: You have 6 months to build the Ark
before I will start the unending rain for 40 days and 40 nights.
Six months later, the Lord looked down and saw Noah weeping in his yard -
but no Ark.
Noah! He roared, I'm about to start the rain! Where is the Ark ?
Forgive me, Lord, begged Noah, 'but things have changed.
I needed a building permit.
I've been arguing with the inspector about the need for a sprinkler system.
My neighbors claim that I've violated the neighborhood zoning laws by
building the Ark in my yard and exceeding the height limitations.
We had to go to the Development Appeal Board for a decision.
Then the Department of Transportation demanded a bond be posted for the
future costs of moving power lines
And other overhead obstructions, to clear the passage for the Ark 's move to
the sea.
I told them that the sea would be coming to us, but they would hear nothing
of it.
Getting the wood was another problem. There's a ban on cutting local trees
in order to save the spotted owl.
I tried to convince the environmentalists that I needed the wood to save the
owls - but no go!
When I started gathering the animals, an animal rights group sued me.
They insisted that I was confining wild animals against their will.
They argued the accommodations were too restrictive, and it was cruel and
inhumane
To put so many animals in a confined space.
Then the EPA ruled that I couldn't build the Ark until they'd conducted an
environmental impact study on your proposed flood.
I'm still trying to resolve a complaint with the Human Rights Commission on
how many minorities I'm supposed to hire for my building crew.
Immigration and Naturalization are checking the green-card status of most of
the people who want to work.
The trades unions say I can't use my sons. They insist I have to hire only
Union workers with Ark-building experience. To make matters worse, the IRS seized all my assets, claiming I'm trying to
leave the country illegally with endangered species.
So, forgive me, Lord, but it would take at least 10 years for me to finish
this Ark.
Suddenly the skies cleared, the sun began to shine, and a rainbow stretched
across the sky.
Noah looked up in wonder and asked,
'You mean you're not going to destroy the world?'
'No,' said the Lord.
'The government beat me to it.'

I had a opportunity to help out my cousin.

It has been a while since I have trimmed and cleaned out her gutters too.  Oh, the reason I am here now is because Jeanne and her sisters pl...
