Women drivers, JOKE

I know everyone reading this will enjoy it - no matter which you are.
This morning on the Interstate, I looked over to my left and there was a woman in a brand new Cadillac doing 65 mph with her face up next to her rear view mirror putting on her eyeliner.
I looked away for a couple seconds !
And when I looked back she was halfway over in my lane, still working on that makeup.
As a man, I don't scare easily. Out she scared me so much;
I dropped my electric shaver , which knocked the donut out of my other hand.
In all the confusion of trying to straighten out the car
Using my knees against the steering wheel, it knocked my cell phone away from my ear which fell into the coffee between my legs, splashed, and burn, ruined the damn phone, soaked my trousers, and disconnected an important call.
women drivers!!

What a beautful evening last night.

Yes I made it through another Thanksgiving. What really is so neat is how when Thanksgiving comes by and goes then it is Christmas. Yes this morning I know there are many people out walking in the malls and shopping for that great bargins. If you guys knew me before. I was the one in front of all these crazy people at 5am waiting to get into the stores and buying and looking and even buying more. I do miss the action and watching all these crazies out there. But I don't miss the buying part. That is because now I know where my peace comes from. It is from above, our Lord Jesus Christ. I would buy something and the next day want to buy something else to please my wants. Folks it is All we need is His peace and LOVE. He will provide that and much more if only you would call apond His Name. Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savor. Please during this time of the year reflex on all that has happen in your life and realize the peace you are looking for is from Him and only Him. Please call on His Name today and receive that love and peace that only He can give you. Please if you have any questions at all. I would love to hear from you. E mail me at

This is real and please pass it on.

There is a computer Virus going around. Please check this out. I know how easy it is to send cards and this could really cause some trouble this year. The site below is real and this is what they do to prove what real and fake. Please check it out.

We will be having our Funday.

It is so neat to see how fast our time is here. Yes this coming Friday and Saturday night is our Christmas Funday. It will be during Nov 28, 29 and then Dec. 5 and 6th. During this time people from around Bahamas will be coming in and driving around our porperty. We have a Scroogo theme. Yes Christ is in all of it and He is still being told of. At first when they told me about the theme, I questioned it. But I went around last night and listen to everyone lines. I am so happy to know His Word will be spoke of. By looking at the pictures you can see all we have done this year. There are double the amount of lights we used last year. By His grace they are all working and we have enough power to light them all.
Now the job that is before me?????? I will be out in the traffic trying to stop cars and just keep things flowing. I really am ASKING for prayer on that. Last year all I remember was how the people really didn't listen at all. By His grace and His loving care of me. I made it through. But I still remember how it was. I am asking for prayer, that people will slow down and just listen. Plus that each person gets a chance to hear His voice during this time.

Yes Christmas Funday is here.

Nails in the fence

Make sure you read all the way down to the last sentence.
There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.
The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next
few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily
gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all.
He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.
The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.
The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, 'You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will
never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. But It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound will still be there. A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.
Remember that friends are very rare jewels, indeed.
They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open
their hearts to us..'
Please forgive me if I have ever left a 'hole' in your fence.

Let us ALL give THANKS this year

How to Observe Thanksgiving.

Count your blessings instead of your crosses;
Count your gains instead of your losses.
Count your joys instead of your woes;
Count your friends instead of your foes.
Count your smiles instead of your tears;
Count your courage instead of your fears.
Count your full years instead of your lean;
Count your kind deeds instead of your mean.
Count your health instead of your wealth;
Count on God instead of yourself.

Thinking of our troops.

This is very easy and a quick, meaningful way to express our gratitude no matter how we feel about the war.
Please take a minute to thank our troops, thank you. It's very easy!
Something cool that Xerox is doing
I JUST DID THIS AND ITS FAST AND EASY!!!
If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services.
How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! This is a great site. Please send a card. It is FREE and it only takes a second.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our guys and gals over there need to know we are behind them...

I am not sure if this is all true?

It seems there are lots of stores that are closing due to the "recession" and the fact that people are not shopping. If you have any "gift cards" from these stores, make sure you use them, or you will lose them !
Watch those store money cards and gift cards.. and credit slips! Stores that informed the Security Exchange of closing plans between October 2008 and January 2009. PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

A Happy Thanksgiving Perspective

It all depends on how you look at it!
One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, 'How was the trip?'
'It was great, Dad.'
'Did you see how poor people live?' the father asked.
'Oh yeah,' said the son.
'So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?' asked the father.
The son answered:
'I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.
We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.
We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.'
The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added, 'Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.'
Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.

Just a short story, may more to show later

In Campinas , Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend.....
The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car:
'My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You.'
She responded: 'Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause Inside Here.....It's Already Full '
Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a , everyone had died,
the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact.
The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken
Christine Hewitt (Jamaican Journalist and entertainer)
said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written.
In June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle.
Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus.
Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.

Watch out for these two.

These are our faithful guys.

It sure is nice to be around other Christian brothers to work together. Yes we have almost finished priming the wall that goes around our church. We are hoping to be finishing it all in 3 more times. So if there is any men out there that want to help us do a great job??? I know we all have other things going on and our families and friends to hang with. Please I am just having some fun with you and I really do hope and pray you are doing something in your our church to help them. we are all called to help our churches when there is a need. So if you have not been doing there. Please check out what your church does and see what you can do to bring glory to God through your works.

Forrest Gump has passed away.

The day finally arrived. Forrest Gump dies and goes to Heaven.
He is at the Pearly Gates, met by St. Peter himself.
However, the gates are closed, and Forrest approaches the gatekeeper.
St. Peter said, "Well, Forrest, it is certainly good to see you. We have heard a lot about you. I must tell you, though, that the place is filling up fast, and we have been administering an entrance exam for everyone. The test is short, but you have to pass it before you can get into Heaven."
Forrest responds, "It sure is good to be here, St. Peter, sir, but nobody ever told me about any entrance exam. I sure hope that the test ain't too hard. Life was a big enough test as it was."
St. Peter continued, 'Yes, I know, Forrest, but the test is only three questions.
First: What two days of the week begin with the letter T?
Second: How many seconds are there in a year?
Third: What is God's first name?"
Forrest leaves to think the questions over. He returns the next day. St. Peter waves him up and says, 'Now that you have had a chance to think the questions over, tell me your answers."
Forrest replied, 'Well, the first one, which two days in the week begins
with the letter 'T'? Shucks, that one is easy. That would be Today and Tomorrow."
The Saint's eyes opened wide and he exclaimed, "Forrest, that is not what I
was thinking, but you do have a point. I guess I did not specify, so I will give you credit for that answer. How about the next one?" asked St.Peter, "How many seconds in a year?"
"Now that one is harder," replied Forrest, "but I thunk and thunk about
that, and I guess the only answer can be twelve."
Astounded, St. Peter said, "Twelve! Twelve? Forrest, how in Heaven's name
could you come up with twelve seconds in a year?"
Forrest replied, "Shucks, there's got to be twelve: January 2nd, February 2nd, March 2nd . . . "
"Hold it," interrupts St. Peter. "I see where you are going with this, and I
see your point, though that was not quite what I had in mind . . .but I will
have to give you credit for that one, too. Let us go on with the third and
final question. Can you tell me God's first name?"
Sure," Forrest replied. "It's Andy."
"Andy?" exclaimed an exasperated and frustrated St Peter. "Ok, I can
understand how you came up with your answers to my first two questions, but just how
in the world did you come up with the name Andy as the first name of God?"
"Shucks, that was the easiest one of all." Forrest replied. "I learnt it from the song:
ANDY WALKS WITH ME, ANDY TALKS WITH ME,
ANDY TELLS ME I AM HIS OWN."
St. Peter opened the Pearly Gates, and said: "Run Forrest, run!"

This is Mikie, really was trying to fix it??????

Hey I have a friend that came to visit.

Yes I am telling you this, I have a friend that came to visit and help us out here at ALC. It really has been a joy to have some extra hands. His name is Mike McDonald. I have known him since (around) 1999. We even worked together during our time in New York right after Sept 11, 2001. Mike is the kind of a guy that when he walks in every one smiles. He really is a good kid. He was here during our time building the barn. He came over to put in our new air conditioner. He will be here for another week or so. It really has been a time to get a lot of work done and he has been that blessing. The pictures you see above are from this last week. Mike is holding one of our sick lambs. His name is Sweegy, He is the smallest lamb we have and he almost died. The reason is he was not getting to the food to eat. The other lambs and goats would push him a side and he would not get any food. So Sean took him out and now he is doing much better. The the next pictures is us working on the bottom of the train. Last week our drive shaft got bent. So Mike and I pulled it out and straighten it and put another piece of pipe over it. Hoping to give it more strenght. Well I need to get going now. Talk with you soon. Hey I don't have inter net at home any more so the blogs will not be as many. Thank you for your prayers and your time to read all this.

This is our next wall to paint.

This is for all my brothers in Christ.

This last week-end, Saturday. As of our Men's Bible group. We came out of our classroom and started a painting party. That is right we had a painting party. If you know any thing about Calvary Bible, we just had a new wall built all the way around our property. I am not sure how big a area we own now? But I know we needed to paint this new wall. So we asked all the men that go to Calvary to come on out and help us out. The guys that usually come ever time did show up. You know the guys, this time we had a couple of new faces. Keith, he is a deacon, David, he is part of the greeters. They both came out to help and that to me was a nice twist. Where I am going with this is, I know that Calvary Bible has a lot more men than the ones that have been out. I am talking about our Pastors and other deacons and just men. I do have a side note. Pastor Lee e mail me the night before to tell me that he was doing two funerals that Saturday and he would not be able to come out. So guys I know we all have things to do during the week-end, BUT maybe you could come out for a couple of hours and just do what you can. Please I am not trying to say anything about our men here. This is just like it is back in Fort Lauderdale. We have 10% that do the 90% of the work.

Folks, I love the idea of seeing history.

Yes two nights ago we all saw history in the making. I can remember the riot's during the 60's. I can even remember going down town Rochester, NY. Seeing all the things that got destroyed during Martin Luther Jr. was killed. There is so much I remember about the races. But I am happy and sad about this last election. The reason I say happy, the old ways, how things were then. Now seeing a Black man in office. Good news. But now the sad news, Is he the one to solve our troubles? He has a long road to go to get USA back on the map. He will have to have a strong back bone to push and get this nation back together. I was talking with some of my friends here. They pretty much believe he is the answer. One friend, Harry. he was telling me today that Obama is going to bring all our nations together. The reason is everyone love him and they see hope in him. I really do hope and pray that they are right and that our nation will not destroy her self any more.
I do have some great NEWS. Jesus is still in control and let us all go for a ride and see what happens.

I think and even know who they wanted to win.

Good morning all,

I have a small note to pass on to ALL of you out there. I was told be a reliable source that I will have enough funds to stay a little bit longer here. I am not sure where these funds are coming from but I can tell you this. I am very happy to be able to share that with all of you out there.
Now that doesn't mean I will not still be trying to raise funds. No I still have that responsible to still seek other for help. So I just wanted you all to hear what our Lord has done at this time. Please if you have any questions or want to help my ministry out. Please e mail me and I will get you in the loop too.
toms@alcbahamas.org
I really do want you all to know how much I love you and let you know that this is a God thing that has happen in my life. If you have read any of my blogs before, you would understand how this is from Him. He is using others to bless me and I pray I am blessing people here and there each day by my walk with Him.

Hello all,

Tonight we had our Single's night out. Had a chance to go out and have some GREAT food. We went to this place Carmines' NYC. Hey this place rocks for food. At first I was not to sure about going out to this place. The reason is, price. But if you go make sure you have around 4 or more people. The reason is, their plates are BIG and you share with others at your table. Tonight was the biggest group of Singles I have ever seen here from Calvary Bible. I was so glad Veda talked me into doing this. She really is a good planer and a very good hostest. She did our ordering and I walk away full and very happy to be able to eat such GOOD FOOD. The night cost each of us $28.00. It really was worth it and just the fellowship too. I am so glad to be part of a group like this and I look forward each time we meet to see what God is doing in our lives. The reason I say that is, we ask people to share and He Is SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD TO ALL OF US.
I hope you enjoy the pictures below. I am sorry but I brought the cheap camera and you can just see them. I wish the picture came out better. Next time I will bring the good camera. I would love to see more people come out when we meet. So please call me or e mail me so I can give you the dates we are meeting.
My e mail address is

Cell phone here is 431-5751.
